Leona Ilene Stephens aged 90, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 25, 2024. Born on September 5, 1934 in Mt. Moriah, MO, she was the daughter of the late Edith and Everett Still. Leona was a graduate of Mt. Moriah School, and found joy in her work at Stetson Hats, where she could express her love for sewing. She cherished traveling in an RV with her late husband, Wilbur Stephens.

Leona was preceded in death by her beloved parents and husband. She is survived by her son, Jerry Stephens and his partner, Brandi Moutrey, both of St. Joseph.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Zoar Cemetery in Cainsville, Missouri.

Born on August 26, 1959 in Madera, California, he was the cherished son of the late Joan and James Nolan. Brian's journey through life was marked by academic achievement as he proudly graduated from Mid Nazarene College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

On January 27, 1984, he embarked on the beautiful journey of marriage with his beloved Bettye, who stands strong in her love as she remembers their years together. Brian dedicated his career to serving others, managing at Dollar General, and supporting his community during his time at Sam’s Club. In his earlier years, he roamed the open roads as a truck driver, embracing the freedom of the highway.

Brian's heart beat for music; he found solace in the strum of guitar strings, and joy in watching his favorite movies and TV shows. A true aficionado of professional wrestling, he cheered passionately from his living room as his heroes fought for glory. His love for sports burned brightly, with the San Francisco 49ers and the Giants holding a special place in his heart. A relentless reader and the family's self-proclaimed genealogist, Brian was a wellspring of knowledge and adventure, always eager to share and explore the wonders of the world.

He cherished every moment spent with his family, their laughter echoing through the halls of their home, and he found immense joy in listening to podcasts that sparked his curiosity. A wanderer at heart, he embraced the thrill of travel, and spent two transformative years on a mission in Leeds, England with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, leaving a mark of love and kindness in every life he touched. Brian's spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him, a shining example of love, passion, and an unwavering zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and great grandson, Zayd Lawhon-Simmons. Terry Beth Swartz, 62, of St. Joseph, MO, met her savior, Jesus Christ, on October 26, 2024. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a short hard-fought battle with cancer.&nbsp;She was born on January 22, 1962, to Johnny and Margaret “Charlene” Swartz. 

She was the youngest of four. Terry was a Benton High School graduate, class of 1980. She was a social butterfly and knew no stranger. You could often find her at any ball park or dance recital, from here to Kansas City, cheering on her grandchildren-they were her absolute pride and joy. “Grandma T” always showed up, always had snacks, and always spoiled them! Terry devoted her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized on May 20, 2023, at Renovation Church, where she was an active member. She was strong in her faith. Her love for everyone she knew will be greatly missed.

Terry is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Swartz; sister and brother-in-law Charlotte and Denny Rhodes; paternal grandparents John and Helen Swartz; maternal grandparents Charles and Nellie Travis; and her grandpuppy, Dexter.

Terry is survived by her most treasured prizes-grandchildren Cruz and Carson Christofferson, Collins and Harrison Kovac; son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Lindsey Kovac; daughter and son-in-law Whitney and Sheldon Christofferson; mother Charlene Swartz; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Chuck Debenito; brother David Swartz; nephews Danny (Emily) and Dusty Rhodes; Joey (Jill), Vince (Kelsey), and John (Mellissa) Debenito; niece Gini (Barry) Darby.

Candace was born June 22, 1953 in Atlanta, GA, to Danny and Lena (Peters) Langford.

Candace served her country in the U.S. Army. She had worked at the Savannah School District for a number of years.

Survivors include two sisters, Glenda Furlong, Tina Rusher, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She enjoyed reading her Bible and Christian television shows.

Harold M. Bradley, 84, Savannah, Missouri; passed away on October 24, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Harold was born on June 28, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri; to the late George and Flossie (Marcum) Bradley. He was a 1958 graduate of Savannah High School and studied Ornithology at the University of Missouri.

Mr. Bradley proudly served his country in the Army Reserves for 6 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant.

Harold followed in the family business and was a second-generation concrete finisher for Bradley Concrete. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Harold was a member of First Christian Church and was a friend of Bill W. for 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching, gardening and could always be found working on the farm. He especially looked forward to taking his grandkids hunting and on trips to Great Wolfe Lodge, Jefferson City and Squaw Creek. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Harold married Carol Roberts on December 4, 1964; they were looking forward to celebrating their upcoming 60th Anniversary. She survives him of the home.

Additional survivors include their children, Reed Bradley (Sandee) and Melissa Tiffany (Dan Lohr); grandchildren, Kassie Thompson (Drew), Kenzie Greene, Corlous Bradley (Meredith) and Bo McLarney (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Piper and Parker Thompson, Remington and Emery Greene, Simon Bradley and Brayden Smither; sister, Carol Howard (Farrell); brothers-in-law, Claude (Bev) and Bob and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Katharine Riley Temps, 87, passed away on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at Field Pointe Assisted Living in St. Joseph, Missouri. Katharine was born on February 12th, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas to Helen (Becker) and James F. Riley. Katharine lived in St. Joseph, Missouri for the past 57 years.

Katharine was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1955, where she met Leo H. Temps. They married in 1956. Katharine worked alongside her husband at All American Rentals until retiring in 1985. After retirement she loved to volunteer for the following organizations for many years: Heartland Hospital, Mosaic Hospice, Meals on Wheels Delivery, Christ Church Altar Guild, and the St. Joseph Museum. She also belonged to Junior League of St. Joseph and PEO Chapter-BP.

Katharine was preceded in death by her parents Helen and James Riley, husband Leo Temps. She is survived by her two daughters Kimberly Engel of O'Fallon, Mo., and Lori T. Murphy of Oklahoma City, Ok., 5 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren. She is survived by a brother, James F. Riley, Jr. of Christchurch, New Zealand. Additional survivors include dear friends: Nancy Siemens and Sandra Hamilton. &nbsp;

Memorial Services will take place at Christ Episcopal Church at 207 N 7th Street in downtown St. Joseph, Missouri on Tuesday October, 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM with inurnment taking place in the church columbarium.&nbsp;

Travis enjoyed football, cars, and learning to cook.

Stanberry, MO:&nbsp; Herbert Kendall VanVactor, Jr. 75, of Stanberry, MO passed away&nbsp;Thursday, October 24th, 2024 near Parnell, MO. He was born&nbsp;August 15th, 1949 in Bethany, Harrison County, MO the son of Herbert Kendall and Alice Mildred (York) VanVactor.

On&nbsp;December 21 st , 1974, he married Beverly Ann Mitchell in Sheridan, MO at the Christian Church. She survives of the home.

Herb grew up in Stanberry, MO and graduated from Stanberry High School, class of 1967. He continued his studies at Northwest Missouri State University where he earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in Education. Herb taught for several years in northwest Missouri. He eventually returned home to Stanberry where he worked as an insurance agent for 37 years. He was an active member of the community serving on multiple boards and committees including the School Board, Hawthorne Foundation, Booster Club, City Council, and Golf Club Board. Herb was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He was also a big supporter of Stanberry Athletics and a huge Northwest Bearcat fan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dean; his mom, Alice and dad, Herb Sr.&nbsp;

In addition to his wife, Bev, he is survived by his 3 sons, Brett (Cami), Platte City, MO; Darin (Olivia), Silver Lake, KS; and Cody (Jessica), Joplin MO; 9 grandchildren, Addison, Mason, Brock, Maclin, Matthew, Wade, Bella, Faith, and Lila and his sister, Marge Sowards.

Herbert Kendall VanVactor, Jr. 1949 - 2024

Paul Douglas Tubach was born to Howard E. and Ida Lillian Fetzner Tubach on November 17, 1940, in Hutchinson, Kansas, and passed away on October 22, 2024, at his home in Hiawatha, Kansas. His father was a minister who requested country assignments. He started school at Bellevue School north of Leona, after moving there in 1945. From Leona, his family moved to Cosby, Missouri, in 1949, where he attended Prairie Valley School and Cosby Grade School, then Savannah High School. The family moved to Hiawatha in 1956, and he graduated with the Class of 1958 from Hiawatha High School.

After Paul graduated from high school, he immediately went to Ft. Leonard Wood for Basic Training in Missouri and took further training at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas. He served the rest of his enlistment in the National Guard. He went to Highland Community College, graduating from there in 1960.

Paul married Marian Sue Wilson on September 1, 1961, at the First United Methodist Church in Hiawatha. Paul and Marian attended high school together and worked at Schroth’s IGA when it was located at the Clock Tower. &nbsp;

They started their married life at their first home in Lawrence, Kansas. He went to Kansas University, and graduated from Baker University in 1964. They moved to Westminster, Colorado, where they lived for five years, then Paul was transferred to Hartford, Connecticut, with the Travelers Insurance Company. After retiring from Travelers in 1996 as the Vice President in charge of the Surety Claims Division, they moved back to Hiawatha from Simsbury, Connecticut, their home for 30 years. In Hiawatha, Paul worked with Wilson Bros, Inc. for 22 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;

They had four sons: Paul Douglas II, Philip David, Michael Stephen and Patrick Daniel.

Preceding him in death were his parents, sons Michael and Philip, and his brother-in-law Stephen Roy Wilson.&nbsp;

Additionally, he leaves a brother, Lee and Beth Tubach of Monument, Colorado; sister Janice Kocher and Ferna Moser of Basehor, Kansas; brother Jerry and Sheila Tubach of Topeka, Kansas; sister-in-law Annette Wilson; brother-in-law David and Debbie Wilson; cousins Patricia McIlwain and Jane and Jerry Reschke; and many Tubach cousins. He also leaves beautiful grandchildren: Christa and Curtis Yung, Nicholas Tubach, Madison Tubach, Avery Tubach, Samuel Tubach and Allie Tubach. Also surviving are his beautiful great-grandsons, Eugene Oliver and Elliot August Yung.

Paul Douglas Tubach was born to Howard E. and Ida Lillian Fetzner Tubach on November 17, 1940, in Hutchinson, Kansas, and passed away on October 22, 2024, at his home in Hiawatha, Kansas. His father was a minister who requested country assignments. He started school at Bellevue School north of Leona, after moving there in 1945. From Leona, his family moved to Cosby, Missouri, in 1949, where he attended Prairie Valley School and Cosby Grade School, then Savannah High School. The family moved to Hiawatha in 1956, and he graduated with the Class of 1958 from Hiawatha High School.After Paul graduated from high school, he immediately went to Ft. Leonard Wood for Basic Training in Missouri and took further training at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas. He served the rest of his enlistment in the National Guard. He went to Highland Community College, graduating from there in 1960.Paul married Marian Sue Wilson on September 1, 1961, at the First United Methodist Church in Hiawatha. Paul and Marian attended high school together and worked at Schroth’s IGA when it was located at the Clock Tower. &nbsp;They started their married life at their first home in Lawrence, Kansas. He went to Kansas University, and graduated from Baker University in 1964. They moved to Westminster, Colorado, where they lived for five years, then Paul was transferred to Hartford, Connecticut, with the Travelers Insurance Company. After retiring from Travelers in 1996 as the Vice President in charge of the Surety Claims Division, they moved back to Hiawatha from Simsbury, Connecticut, their home for 30 years. In Hiawatha, Paul worked with Wilson Bros, Inc. for 22 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;They had four sons: Paul Douglas II, Philip David, Michael Stephen and Patrick Daniel.Preceding him in death were his parents, sons Michael and Philip, and his brother-in-law Stephen Roy Wilson.&nbsp;Paul leaves behind Marian of the home, Douglas and Niki of Canton, Connecticut; Danielle Tubach of Montrose, California; and Patrick and Tanis Tubach of Novato, California. Ralph Edward “Ed” McCray was born on July 17, 1934 in Agency, Missouri. He was one of five children of Ralph C. and Loie E. (Deakins) McCray.

Ed grew up in Agency and graduated from Gower High School. He was an over-the-road truck driver and retired from CFI truck lines. He continued to drive trucks until he was 89 years old, and helped Radley Farms in Oregon. When he wasn’t working, Ed enjoyed camping, spending time with friends, following Mizzou and Chiefs football.&nbsp;

On March 10, 1990 he married Lavona Hughes in Miami, Oklahoma. They lived in Oregon until moving to Savannah several years ago.&nbsp;

Ed passed away at his Savannah home on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the age of 90.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sisters, Connie and Anna McCray, and sister, Virginia Isaacs. Survivors include his wife Lavona, of Savannah, Missouri; sister, Emma Bottiger of San Antonio, Texas; several children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life gathering will begin at 1:00 pm. Friday, October 25th, 2024 at the Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Missouri. A private interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon.&nbsp;

Following the interment, the family will gather with friends for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the GOAT Grub and Pub, 137 W. Nodaway, Oregon, Missouri.

Maysville, Missouri…Mildred Irene Cobb, age 88, was called home by her Lord and Savior on October 23, 2024. She was born November 3, 1935, in Maysville, Missouri, the daughter of Charles McCrea and Mary (Mills) McCrea.

Mildred married the love of her life, Roy Cobb on July 7, 1956, at the Fairport Baptist Church and became a lifelong member there. She was kind, generous, and prided herself in being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She loved animals and life on the farm.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; daughter, Peggy Cobb; two brothers, Carl McCrea and Larry (Gail) McCrea; one sister, Katherine (Raymond) Harwood.&nbsp;

Husband to Sharon, father of three children, Crystal (Christopher), Elizabeth (Oscar),&nbsp;&nbsp;and Bradley (Sallie); adopted daughter, Michelle (Ray); 14 grandchildren, Caleb (Stormy) Britney (Kevin), Rachel, Jessie May (Matthew), Kelsie (Amber), Marissa (Walker), Michaela, Bradley “Bo” (Webber), Hannah, Triston, Oscar Jose, Gabby (Caysen), Miles, and Elle; and 10 great grandchildren, Harper, Riley, Tatum, Francis, Amelia, Maddox, Brooks, OakLynn, Dean, and Lennon. Roger never complicated life, he kept it simple and enjoyable. He loved football and Dr Pepper, always enjoyed trips “back home” to Bolivar and took pride in being from the town. He was a forklift driver and warehouseman for 32 years. He served on the board of South Park Christian Academy as President and volunteered in many capacities at the school. Roger always did good…

Roger never asked for much but was always willing to go the extra mile for others. He was a family man, passing down his wit to his son and grandsons and his smile and laugh to his daughters. He put great pride and importance on his marriage and commitment to love and honor Sharon. Their life together was truly inspirational. He holds her hand through Eternity. He took nothing and no one for granted. Roger was driven to overcome physical ailments and pain, his work ethic was to be admired, as was his humility and ability to be a peacemaker.

Roger enjoyed traveling with his family, never a need for directions, he always knew where he was going. He had a keen sense of humor, not a man of many words but plenty of jokes and “Roger-isms”.

Roger Earl Powell 73, of Faucett, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at his home. Born on August 6, 1951 in St. Joseph, MO, he was the son of the late Mary Lou and Robert Powell. Roger graduated from Stewartsville High School, and was the Owner Operator of Roger Powell Trucking. He had a passion for truck pulls and drag racing.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Donna Lee Powell of St. Joseph, MO; his stepson, Tim Resler and wife Cecelia of Wathena, KS; his stepdaughter, Tracy Verdoorn and husband Mark of Platte City, MO; his sister, Jenan Myers and husband Jay; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Robert Allen Kelley, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024.

He was born August 22, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edward Edison Kelley, Sr. and Elizabeth (Burgess) Kelley.

Robert was loved by his family and will be missed very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Edward Edison Kelley, Jr. and Richard Kelley.

Roberta "Bobbie" Moore Snyder, 88, of Leavenworth, KS, died October 20, 2024, after a brief illness. Bobbie was born in Leavenworth on October 12, 1936, daughter of Dr. Robert H. Moore and Ethel Wehrman Moore. 

She grew up in Lansing, a small tightly-knit community where she learned to pitch in and participate. She was an accomplished equestrian, pianist, and class Valedictorian. She attended Sophie Newcomb at Tulane, and graduated from the University of Nebraska. She received her Masters in Education at the University of Kansas.

 Bobbie retired after teaching second grade for 40 years, where she was honored as Kansas Teacher of the Year, and enjoyed her return to teaching students seeking their GED at Project Stay. A lifelong volunteer, Bobbie served others through teaching at Second Mile, &nbsp;tutoring children and adults in reading, the Reach to Recovery program of the American Cancer Society, Cushing Hospital, Welcome Central, and the Community Meal program through her involvement with the Presbyterian Church, and countless other community boards and committees. She was a member of PEO and the Whittier Club.&nbsp; 

Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, James N. "Jimmy" Snyder, Jr. She is survived by her children, Holly Saunders (Tim) and Jill Kaczynski (Kevin), and her beloved grandchildren and dog, Buddy.

A memorial service is planned November 1st at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Leavenworth. Bobbie was passionate about helping others, and loved animals.

He was born on October 11, 1990, in St. Joseph, MO where he grew up and graduated from Lafayette High School in 2009.

Chaz was an avid sports card collector and fan with knowledge of past and current players and stats of football, basketball and baseball. He loved talking to anyone, of any age, about any sport, at anytime and was a guest on many nationwide sports talk shows, pod casts and radio. He was known for his big heart, infectious smile and contagious laugh. Chaz would help anyone at anytime and was an amazing son, grandson, brother and friend.

He is survived by his mother Shelly Leader; his brother Zachary Leader; grandparents Ed and Connie Wildberger; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to honor Chaz by having you wear your favorite Chiefs, Royals or MU gear to the visitation.

Erminia Maria "Irma" Flores, age 94, of Atchison, KS, died peacefully on October 19, 2024.&nbsp;

Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Meinrad Miller, OSB, as celebrant. A visitation will be on Tuesday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. prior to mass at church. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Benedict Parish or the American Cancer Society. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral care.&nbsp;

Irma was born on July 7, 1930, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of the late Bardomiano Flores and Maria (Cordero) Flores. She attended St. Joseph Grade School, graduating from Atchison High School.&nbsp;

Irma worked at Flores Cleaners and lived in Atchison until 1953, when she relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she worked as a file clerk and receptionist for Aldens Co. from 1953-1982, and then Mr. Travel from 1984-1987.&nbsp;

She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Atchison, now part of St. Benedict Parish and the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W.

Irma was the last living child in her family, and is preceded in death by her sisters, Andrea Sanchez, Marie Flores Jimenez, Barbara Lister, Juanita Card; her brothers, Joseph D. Flores, Manuel Flores, Viviano J. Flores and Celestino (Sal) Flores. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Marty Ray Kenworthy, 51, of Atchison, KS passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 20th, 2024, in Iowa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, Oct. 26th, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Effingham, KS. Marty was born on November 4, 1972, in Holton, KS the son of Leon and Connie (Stalder) Kenworthy. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1992. Marty was an over-the-road truck driver. He presently was working for the Keane Thummel Trucking Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was married to Kristina L. Siard on July 5, 1997. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his son Jacob Kenworthy and Tara Coffelt, Atchison, KS, a daughter Kaitlynn Kenworthy and Tyler Studer, Kansas City, MO, his mother Connie Mercer, Atchison, KS., two brothers Tony Kenworthy, Des Moines, IA and Robbie Kenworthy, Atchison, KS, two grandchildren Dawson Kenworthy and Stella Studer and his mother-in-law Sandra Faudere, Atchison, KS. His father, and a nephew Max Kenworthy preceded him in death.

Carolyn Sue Peters 82, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 in St. Joseph, MO. She was born April 16, 1942 in Rushville, MO, daughter of the late Martha Margaret and Alva Keling. 

She graduated from Bendena High School and married Fred Peters on June 17, 1960 and he survives of the home. She enjoyed selling home interiors, crafting, spending time outside with her flowers and yard work, she enjoyed church life, singing and spending time &nbsp;with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Life Church. 

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: &nbsp;Howard, Sam and Ronnie Keling, sister; Deloris Griffin, Shirley Peters, and Barbara Keling. 

Survivors include husband, Fred Peters of the home, five children: Rhonda (Derek) Woosley, St. Joseph, MO, Sheila (Nathan) Kunkel, Tavares, FL, Rodney (Brooke) Peters, Savannah, MO, Steve (Charlotte) Peters and Tonya (Scott) Hart of St. Joseph, MO, 15 grandchildren, &nbsp;33 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, and three sisters, Charlotte Schubert, Elaine (Jerry) Peters, and Carol Walters all of St. Joseph, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Tommie "Tom" Eugene Wallace 87, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 in St. Joseph. He was born January 16, 1937 in Houston, MO, son of the late Sally and Arthur Wallace. 

He worked as a Machine Operator. Tom enjoyed working on the farm and all the equipment, loved talking about the world and complaining about it too. 

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, son, Kirk &nbsp;Wallace, brothers, Delmar Wallace, Raymond Wallace, Roy Wallace, and Jack &nbsp;Wallace, and sister, Dorothy Wallace. 

Survivors include sister, Hazel Wallace, brother, Don Wallace both of St. Joseph, MO, and niece, Carol McLaughlin of Tarkio, MO.

Alfred “Al” Leroy McIntosh, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Wathena Nursing Home.

He was born September 2, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri to Beulah S. (Berry) McIntosh and Marvin Walter McIntosh, Sr.

Al served in the Navy during the Korean War, then joined the Navy Reserves for many years. He worked at Beaty’s Bakery, was a plumber in California, and worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, then was a mechanic at Affiliated Foods. He also did part-time work as a DJ for KFEQ, all local sports radio broadcasting, a cable TV show for MWSU, and was a bartender at The Wooden Nickel. After retirement, Al went back to work for AutoZone and Advance Auto well into his 80s.

He coached many years for youth sports at South Park, then coached adult sports and finished with girls softball back at South Park. He also played fastpitch men’s softball. The man loved all sports. His favorite teams were the Chiefs, Royals, and Cardinals.

He loved to watch his family members participating in all sports and made it to as many games as he could. He always put family first — that was the most important thing to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Edith (Payne) McIntosh; son, Steven Eugene McIntosh; brothers, Marvin Jr., John and Russell McIntosh; sisters, Mary Ann DeHart and Jackie Ballenger; sister-in-law, Dollie Pyane; brothers-in-law, John and Everett Payne; nieces, Susie, Connie, and Lynette; and nephews, Alan, Raymond, Michael, Terry, and John Paul.

Survivors include daughter, Cindy (Michael) Littlejohn; son, Thomas (Karla) McIntosh; grandchildren, Ashley McIntosh, Kalanie (Justin) Hoffman, Kelli Littlejohn, Brandon McIntosh, Gregory (Amanda) Littlejohn, Jeffrey Littlejohn, and David Littlejohn; great-grandchildren, Kendra, Joseph, Derek and Hallie Littlejohn, and Brandon Jr. and Raevyn McIntosh; sisters-in-law, JoAnn McIntosh, Sally Payne, Cathy Bullard, and Cindy Gross; numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene enjoyed spending her time painting, reading and crocheting. She also loved her technology and smart devices.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Nicholas Johnson.

He was born June 21, 1979 to David C. Vogel and Frances D. Sperry in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Keith married Brittney Gann on June 22, 2020 after being together since 1996.

He enjoyed reading, sitting on the front porch, playing video games and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, David; aunt, Diana Vogel; and uncle, Stephen Vogel.

Keith A. Sperry 1979 - 2024

Larry F. Berry, 83, Helena, Missouri, died Saturday, October 19, 2024, at his farm in Helena surrounded by his family.

He was born October 22, 1940 in McFall, Missouri, to Truman and Lennie (Davidson) Berry. He and his family later moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1945.

Larry retired from Stetson Hat Factory in 2003 after 44 years of dedicated service.

In 1957, he married his sweetheart Dixie Gardner in St. Joseph, Mo. She survives of the home.

Larry spent much of his life fishing, hunting and trapping with friends and family. He was a dedicated Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan for many years. He enjoyed a home-cooked meal, took great pride in his perfectly kept garden, and loved his family.

Larry had a soft spot for all animals. In his memory, please do a kind act for an animal in your life.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Drexel, Paul, and Donnie; and two sons-in-law, Bruce Redmond and Danny Riggs.

He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Gene and Tyson (Jenifer); three daughters, Becky Riggs, Marie Redmond, and Rhonda (Bill) Barton; seven grandchildren, Kendra (Buddy) Osborn, Travis Riggs, Lennie (John) Jackson, Traci (Shane) Johnson, Crystal Hernandez, Lacey Redmond, and Mason Berry; great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Carsyn Osborn, Camden Smith, Kilan Johnson, Jagger and Johnie Jackson, Maverick Fitzpatrick and Dani Lynn Riggs.
