Daniel L. Wagner, 87, Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, February 5, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Danny’s life will be celebrated Saturday, February 8, 2025, at St. Joseph Church with a visitation to begin at 10:00 am and a rosary at 10:45 am. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Benedictine College to be designated to scholarships and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. The family encourages friends to join them and wear their favorite sports attire to the services.

Daniel was born August 23, 1937, in Pawnee City, Nebraska the oldest of twelve children of Fred and Eleanor (Ullman) Wagner. &nbsp;He attended Steinauer Elementary School graduating from Lewiston High School. He enlisted in the Army Reserves and was stationed at Fort Carson until his honorable discharge.

He and Bonnie J. Dougherty were united in marriage on July 8, 1967, in Steinauer, Nebraska. &nbsp;Mrs. Wagner preceded him in death on October 30, 2014. He is also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Keith Wagner; and sister, Betty Hubka.

Danny enjoyed farming with his family in Nebraska and worked with the soil conservation district. He relocated to Atchison and met numerous people and made countless friendships, which led him to his fifty-year career of Print Shop Manager at Benedictine College until retiring in 2020. He enjoyed photography, he was a master carpenter and one of the best gardeners around. He could grow pretty much anything! He loved sharing his produce and canning for his family. Danny was a huge Nebraska fan and enjoyed anything college athletics and the Olympic games. He played numerous sports well into his 60s, including volleyball, basketball, tennis and bowling.

He was a member of St. Benedict Parish and a member of Sacred Heart Council #723 of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include a son, Christopher (Christina) Wagner; a daughter, Daneen (Jeremy) Vaughan; two brothers, Bob Wagner, Patrick Wagner; seven sisters, Nora Kathe, Nancy Hilt, Marilyn Buhman, Dorothy Brandt, Peggy Barrett, Mary Wagner, Kathy Wagner; five grandchildren, Zachary Wagner, Kelsey (Mike) Hughes, Micah Wagner, Daniel Wagner, Rebekah Wagner; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He and Bonnie took in a foster Yorkie, and she became the spoiled rotten pup, “Baby”, who resides with Chris’ family.

Michael was born July 6, 1953, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of Kenneth and Rosalie (Lawrence) Denton. He married Tina White on Aug. 12, 2007, and she survives at home. Mike was a proud member of the Kansas City, MO Iron Workers Local 10. He is considered a Legend Ironworker by his peers, which his friends and family were very proud of. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, boats, hot rod cars, coaching little league, beaches and anything that met spending time in the water.

Douglas E. Kowitz, 69 of King City, MO and formerly of Flag Springs, MO for many years, passed away Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at his home in King City surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 25th, 1955 to Donald &amp; Wanda (Hunsucker) Kowitz. He graduated high school from King City R-1 in 1973. After graduating, he farmed and started working at AGP. He retired from AGP after 44 years on august 2nd 2017. He married the love of his life, Debbie Smith on July 13th, 1983 and she survives of the home. &nbsp;

Doug loved his family fiercely and cherished every moment spent together, especially with his great grandchildren. His life was filled with great memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those he held dear. He was also a passionate hunter and fisherman, a love that kept him outdoors and away from the confines of the house. He had many titles like husband, father, son, friend, but his favorite title was being called “Pappy” since 1994.

Sean was an extreme KC Chiefs fan, and enjoyed playing pool, and being around his friends and family. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Black, and father, Dennis Fisk. 

Survivors include: siblings, Beth Gilmore of St Joseph, Mitchell Black of St. Joseph, Peggy Storm of Higginsville, MO, Gayle Brown of Higginsville, MO, Kent (Maxine) Walker of St. Joseph, and Bill Walker of St. Joseph, nephew, Nicholas Gilmore, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jonathan Boller Sr. 81, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at Mosaic Life Care. He was born November 16, 1943 in St. Joseph to the late Effie and Ralph Boller. 

Jon attended Benton High School. He married Wanda Butterfield on February 3, 1961, sharing exactly 64 years together. He worked at the Lake Road Warehouse, retiring after 40 years. Jon loved racing, especially dirt track racing. He also loved the KC Chiefs, and most of all, his family. 

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frank, Henry, Lawrence, and Clarence Boller, sisters, Harriet Stagner, Bertha Free, Sarah Wampler, Bonnie Ziberski, and Betty Herbert. 

Survivors include: &nbsp;wife, Wanda Boller of the home, sons, Jon Jr. (Beth) Boller of St Joseph, Ronnie Sr. (April) Boller of St. Joseph, and Lonnie (Rita) Boller of Horton, KS, daughter, Sherri Boller of St. Joseph, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born October 13, 1941 in St. Joseph to Harold and Margarite (Myers) Dougan. Nancy grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Benton High School.

Nancy worked at C.D. Smith, New York Life and Mutual of Omaha before a long stint as a supervisor at the St. Jo Frontier Casino, from which she retired in 2009.

Nancy enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, yardwork, and traveling. A kind person who always put others first, she had a big heart with much love for family, friends, and animals, especially cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and longtime companion, Charles Buffey.

Survivors include grandson, Gregory Clutter; three great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Dougan (Sherry); and close friend Teri Golden.

Glenda E. Roberts, 74, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025.

She was born December 26, 1950 in Pennsylvania.

On April 30, 1976, Glenda married the love of her life, Edward Eugene Roberts and together they built a family full of love and laughter. She was a cherished mother to Rachel Eckart (Gene) and Christopher Roberts. Glenda's role as a grandmother was one she enjoyed with all her heart, leaving behind treasured memories with grandchildren Jordan, Kailyn, and Jasper Roberts, Joslin Carpenter, and Samantha Stapleton, as well as great-grandchildren Theo and Archie Richey.

Glenda is lovingly remembered by her husband, her children, and their families, as well as her siblings, Evonda Weinmann, Tony Knowles, Mickie Holman, and Chuck Hord. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Hill.

Glenda’s passion for stained glass and the precious moments spent with her grandchildren will be held close to the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Chris Eugene Gartner, 57, of Horton, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home, February 2, 2025. Chris had been fighting a battle with cancer since May 2021 and he did so with courage and grace.

Chris is now standing in the sun, he fought the fight, his race is run and his pain is all a million miles away.

Chris was born December 17, 1967, at Axtell, Kansas, the youngest of eight children born to Ray and Lita Sue (Chandler) Gartner. Chris grew up in Oneida, Kansas, attending school in Bern, Kansas, prior to moving to Hiawatha, Kansas in 1984. Chris then attended Hiawatha High School, graduating with the class of 1987. Chris was employed at Crosswind Industries (ADM) in Hiawatha, Kansas until July 2021, when his illness prevented him to work.

Chris married Teresa Blanton November 4, 2016 in Falls City, Nebraska.

Chris is survived by his wife Teresa of the home; daughters: Jessica (Zach) Rahe, Emily Gartner, son Connor Gartner, step-children: Katie (Eric) Purvis, Lukas Blanton; &nbsp;step-grandchildren: Joseph, Samantha and Maverick Purvis; sisters Cindy DuBois, Tammy (Tony) Campbell, brother in law William Lowe; in laws: Scott and Patricia Andrews, Rhonda (John) May, Kristie (Richard) Sigle, several nieces, nephews and the family dogs: Bailey, Sassy and Chevy.

Chris Eugene Gartner 1967 - 2025

Raymond Howard McGarry, 92, of Weston, MO, passed away February 1, 2025. Raymond was born December 16, 1932, in Choctaw County, Oklahoma to Lester and Leona (Taylor) McGarry. 

He was the oldest of 9 siblings; and was a graduate of Boswell High School. Raymond was drafted into the U.S. Army on May 23, 1953, serving during the Korean Conflict until 1956. The family moved to Weston, MO on December 16, 1960. 

Raymond was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ed and Effie (Spencer) Taylor; paternal grandparents John and Laura McGarry; parents Lester and Leona (Taylor) McGarry; Siblings Oleta and Bobby McGarry; and son Mark McGarry. 

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; siblings Wilburn McGarry of Shreveport, LA, Joyce (Johnny) Selby of Glen Rose, TX, Mack McGarry of Hugo, OK, Annetta Anderson of Garland, TX, and LaVonda Mathews of Durant, OK; sons Russell McGarry of Brownsville, OR, John (Lindsey) McGarry of Freeport, FL, Brian (Sandi) McGarry of Euless, TX, Justin (Hollie) McGarry of Spring Hill, KS, and Ted (Susan) McGarry of St. Joseph, MO; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Raymond Howard McGarry, 92, of Weston, MO, passed away February 1, 2025. Raymond was born December 16, 1932, in Choctaw County, Oklahoma to Lester and Leona (Taylor) McGarry. He was the oldest of 9 siblings; and was a graduate of Boswell High School. Raymond was drafted into the U.S. Army on May 23, 1953, serving during the Korean Conflict until 1956. Lila Mae Deiter, 84, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Mosaic Life Care. She was born November 18, 1940 in St. Joseph, daughter of the late, Louise and Ira Stout. 

She graduated from Lafayette High School, Class of 1958. Lila worked as a caregiver. She loved the KC Chiefs, her animals, and was a member of the Patee Park Baptist Church.

She was born April 20, 1940 in St. Joseph to Judge J.P. and Effie Rue (Vestal) Hull. Mary Ann was a 1958 graduate of Faucett High School and attended St. Joseph Junior College.

Mary Ann married Don Newgard on April 20, 1989. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2007.

She worked as a clerk in the Buchanan County Assessor’s Office for many years.

With a talent emerging at age 3, Mary Ann became a tremendous pianist and had played at many churches in the area, including First Baptist Church in St. Joseph, where she was a longtime member.

She cherished her loyal Shih Tzus and loved to cook, especially for family dinners.

Mary Ann leaves a legacy for her family as a strong, independent woman who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

The family thanks AseraCare Hospice for their excellent, loving care of our mother, especially Renee and Dana.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and sister-in-law, Sue Hull.

John Randolph Blakley, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025.

He was born on March 3, 1944, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to David and Lula Blakley.

Familiarly known as "Big John" by his loved ones, he lived a life full of heart and kindness, encapsulating the true essence of love.

A proud graduate of Central High School in 1962, John further expanded his education with a year of college, gearing him with the knowledge he would carry throughout his life. He also dedicated his lifetime to the family business: Blakley Trash Service.

John cultivated a life rich with passions. His hands brought beauty to the earth through his love of gardening, and his joy in cooking and cleaning provided comfort and warmth to those around him. His affinity for animals showed his gentle and caring nature.

He enjoyed the vigor of football and basketball in his younger years. Those fortunate enough to know John experienced his unwavering support, as he never hesitated to assist his family with their needs. Admired for his remarkable memory, he carried a wealth of treasured stories.

Faith played a pivotal role in John's life as a devoted member of Hope Fellowship Church. John's life came full circle as he passed away peacefully in the very town that witnessed his first breath.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Donald Lula and Paul Blakley.

Margaret Dishman, 81, a warm hearted and steadfast pillar of the Helena, Missouri community, passed away on January 30, 2025.

She was born on December 8, 1943 to Harry and Beulah (Blankenship) Stouffer in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Margaret's life journey began as a graduate of Central High School in 1962. She found her soulmate in Jerry Dishman, and they united in marriage on June 5, 1964.

A devout member of Helena United Methodist Church, Margaret's spirituality was the compass by which she navigated her years. Her interests ran deep and wide, but above all, she enjoyed cooking. It was God first, then family, and after that, her community, always in that order, for Margaret embodied the very essence of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jon, and her brother, David Stouffer.

She was born August 30, 1934 in Fillmore, Missouri to Henry and Lena (Hardin) Heckman. She grew up in Fillmore and graduated from Fillmore High School.

Norma married Raymond Louis Barton on April 9, 1960. They shared 58 years together before he preceded her in death on November 10, 2018.

She loved the Lord and served Him as a longtime member of McCarthy Baptist Church (now Cornerstone Baptist Church), where she worked in the daycare.

Norma found immense joy playing with her great-grandchildren, and delighting her family with her wonderful cooking, especially her chicken and noodles and homemade rolls.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Jakob J. Grayson, 34, of Kansas City Missouri formerly of Lathrop Missouri died Wednesday Jan 29, 2025, at a Kansas City Missouri Hospital. Born on November 2, 1990, in Smithville Missouri. Jakob was a graduate of Lathrop High School class of 2009. He was a member of the Kansas City Downs Syndrome Guild, Special Olympics and attended Camp Rainbow. Jakob never met a stranger, he would say “hi I’m Jakob” as he reached out to shake your hand. He loved his family and loved to sing, dance and tell (lies) stories. &nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his sister Johtena Grayson, his grandfather James “JD” Grayson and his uncle Charles Grayson. &nbsp;

Jakob never met a stranger, he would say “hi I’m Jakob” as he reached out to shake your hand. He loved his family and loved to sing, dance and tell (lies) stories. &nbsp;He was preceded in death by his sister Johtena Grayson, his grandfather James “JD” Grayson and his uncle Charles Grayson. &nbsp;Survivors include his mother Sharon Grayson of Lathrop Missouri; his brothers Justin (Elisha) Grayson of KCMO; Joshua (Natalie) Grayson of Lenexa Kansas; Jared Grayson of Overland Park Kansas; His grandmother Saretta Grayson of Lathrop Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.Healing farewell services will be held 11:00AM on Friday February 7, 2025, at the Bailey &amp; Cox Family Funeral Service Plattsburg Missouri. On Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 1:34 p.m. our beloved wife, mom, grandma, and sister entered&nbsp;peacefully into the presence of God while surrounded by her family and dear friends.

Joyce Kay&nbsp;Bachman was born September 14, 1952, in Falls City, Nebraska to Keith Aaron and Irene Martha&nbsp;(Fischer) Johansen, a loving Christian family. She loved and honored her mother and father.&nbsp;Joyce’s five siblings were not just her brothers and sisters but her closest friends. With her older&nbsp;sisters, Linda Sue and Marcia Ann, they formed an inseparable trio. In the next four years, the&nbsp;girls were joined by two ornery brothers, Stephen Keith and Larry Lynn, and the family enjoyed&nbsp;farm life north of Rulo.

When Joyce was elementary age, the family moved on the&nbsp;Nebraska/Kansas state line, and she attended the Reserve School. Almost two decades after her&nbsp;oldest sibling was born, Angela Jo was welcomed as the baby of the family. These six siblings&nbsp;lived life together from going to church every Sunday to family vacations to regular drop by&nbsp;visits at their homes.

Joyce loved her brothers and sisters and their families. She was especially&nbsp;close with Steve’s wife, Rita, who was also Bob’s sister and their lifelong neighbor. In 1998, she&nbsp;lost her brother Larry, and in 2023, she lost her sister Linda. Their deaths broke her heart, but&nbsp;she held fast to the hope of reuniting with them in heaven.

Joyce was a proud graduate of the class of 1970 from Hiawatha High School in Hiawatha,&nbsp;Kansas. She made lifelong friendships and enjoyed attending class reunions. In the fall of 1969&nbsp;Joyce was a senior in high school, and Robert "Bob" Dean Bachman was working at his brother's&nbsp;home cutting wood. Joyce was at the same home babysitting their children. She thought 24-year-old Bob was very handsome and unplugged his saw to get his attention. It worked, and on&nbsp;December 10, 1969, he appeared on her doorstep with a box of French mint melt-aways and&nbsp;took her on the first of many dates. Just two months after her high school graduation, 17-year-old Joyce married the love of her life.

Immediately following their wedding ceremony, Bob and&nbsp;Joyce traveled to Yellowstone National Park in their 1969 Ford Galaxy starting a lifetime of&nbsp;family vacations to the National Park System.

Throughout their almost 55-year marriage, they&nbsp;made their home on the family farm south of Rulo where Bob still resides today.&nbsp;In 1973, they welcomed their first of three daughters, Merci Dawn followed by Jill Kristin in&nbsp;1976 and Kara Brooke in 1977. Bob and Joyce ensured their daughters knew they were loved&nbsp;and cherished from birth to adulthood. They dedicated their daughters to God, raising them in&nbsp;the Falls City Church of the Nazarene. As their daughters grew their families, Joyce loved their&nbsp;husbands, Jared and Corey, just as sons to her. All three of their daughters and their families are&nbsp;faithful followers of God and rest in the knowledge of His hope and promise of eternity.

In the fall of 1981, Joyce dual enrolled in both the Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing&nbsp;in St. Joseph, Missouri and Highland Community College. In just three years, she graduated at&nbsp;the top of her class as a registered nurse (RN). She maintained her nursing licensures in&nbsp;Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska, working at Methodist Medical Center (Heartland Health&nbsp;System), Hiawatha Hospital, In-Home Health, Searight Family Practice, Oak Ridge Acres, Midland&nbsp;Villa, Falls City Care Center, NEK-CAP, Inc. and White Cloud Health Center. Joyce loved working&nbsp;as a nurse, providing care to our community, and developing lifelong friendships with her fellow&nbsp;nurses.

She volunteered for hospice care and served on the Richardson County Cancer Society&nbsp;board including as a term as president. She was instrumental in organizing the Relay for Life&nbsp;fundraiser and also volunteered at her church. In 1992, she was teaching women how to do self-exams for breast cancer when she found a cancerous lump in her own breast. At the age of 38, she underwent treatment at the University of Nebraska and was a proud breast&nbsp;cancer survivor.

In 2005, Joyce suffered a brain injury during surgery known as a cognitive impairment&nbsp;associated with perioperative surgery. As that area of her injured brain aged faster than the rest,&nbsp;it allowed for the onset of early Alzheimer’s Disease which required her to retire from nursing in&nbsp;2009. Joyce’s family never allowed this horrible disease to define her worth and value. As Bob promised to her during their marriage vows, she was loved and cherished by them at her home until her death.

Surpassing her love of work and community was her love for her family. Joyce spent countless&nbsp;hours attending events for her children and grandchildren, traveling with immediate and&nbsp;extended family, and gardening. Joyce knew no strangers, welcoming all she met. Her beautiful&nbsp;smile and contagious laugh will be missed by all.

Joyce is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Robert Bachman and their daughters: Merci (Jared) Kirkendall of Rulo, NE; Jill (Corey) Kenney; and Kara Friedline both of Olathe, KS. She is survived by three siblings: Marcia (Jim) Frederick, Falls City, NE; Steve (Rita) Johansen; and Angie (Bobby) Hunzeker, both of Rulo, NE as well as sisters-in-law Louise Pfankuche, Kansas City, MO; Marjorie Surman, Rulo, NE; Marlene McKim, Falls City, NE; Ruth Lieneman, Robinson, KS; Wauneta (Jim) Catlett, Kansas City, MO; and brothers-law Ben (Sandy) Bachman and Gary (Cindy) Bachman both of Falls City, NE. Joyce was a proud grandma to thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Zavan (Kathy) Kirkendall, parents of Lyla, Kayson, and Clay; Emmet (fiancée Naomi) Kirkendall; Cole (Gracie) Kirkendall; Jozie Kirkendall; Asher, Amelia, and Alice Kenney; Sage, Ruby, Iris, Mara, Oliver, and August Friedline; and many nieces and nephews and their children.&nbsp;

She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bob Lehmkuhl; brother, Larry Johansen; brothers-in-law, Thomas Odle and Ronald Bachman; and sisters-in-law, Bernice (Red) Adams and Alice (Jimmy) Crouch.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at River of Hope Fellowship,&nbsp;27765 US-159, Forest City, MO with Pastor David Showalter, dear family friend, officiating.&nbsp;Interment will be in the Rulo City Cemetery in Rulo, NE. The family will receive friends on&nbsp;Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at River of Hope Fellowship.&nbsp;Funeral services will be handled by Chamberlain Funeral Home of Mound City, MO.

Joyce Bramble, 83, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at the University Of Kansas Medical Center. Joyce was born in Weston, MO. She and her triplet sisters Judy and Janice were born on the farm, and they were the youngest of 9 children. 

Joyce was proud to be a triplet and would often tell stories of receiving gifts and cards from all over because being a triplet was very rare. She graduated from West Platte High School then met and married Richard Bramble. Joyce and Richard moved south of Weston to the KCI area where they started their family. They moved to the Grandview area where Joyce started an in-home daycare and had the youngest of their 5 daughters, completing their family. Later she got her driver’s license and began working for the K.C. Lenders Exchange. She later retired, after many years of service, from Time Warner Cable. After Richard passed, she moved from the family home to her very first apartment. She enjoyed new friends and countless games of Farkle. 

She loved hosting friends to watch her beloved chiefs and Royals play ball. Joyce was the most generous, loving soul. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin bread around. She lived to spoil her girls, grandkids and anyone who would let her. She was always interested in what everyone was doing and lived to celebrate the joy and success of those she cared about. She will be greatly missed. 

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Richard Bramble; daughter Judy Braden; grandson Matthew Singleton; parents Bly and Evelyn Fee; brothers George Fee, Donald Fee, and Joe Fee; sisters Leanora Eirls, Mary Lou Eirls, Betty Reavis, and Janice Moore. 

She is survived by daughters Cynthia (Robert) Jobe, Lynn (Keith) Rippel, Kim Holsted, and Debbie (Earl) Wetzel; son in law Steve Braden; sister Judy Peterson; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. 

In honor of Joyce’s love of the teams, the family requests that you dress in your favorite Kansas City Chief's or Royals attire for the service. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Kathie Lorraine Lee, 72, formerly of Atchison, KS passed away on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at the Maple Heights Nursing Home, Hiawatha, KS.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Feb. 8th, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Dandy officiating. Kathie L. Moore was born on July 20, 1952, in Biloxi, MS the daughter of Billy E. and Beverly G. (Morgan) Moore. She graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph, MO in 1970.

Kathie worked as a certified nurses aid for nursing homes and home health for many years. She was baptized at Trinity Episcopal Church, Atchison and was a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison. Mrs. Lee was an avid animal lover.

Survivors include two sons Joshua P. Lee, and Jeremy (Lottie) Lee, both of Atchison, KS, two brothers William “Ken” Moore, and Shawn M. Moore, both of Springfield, MO, a sister Robin M. Urquhart, St. Joseph, MO, three grandchildren Isaac, Ison, Taylor (Halee), and two great grandchildren Everest, and Emmett. Her parents preceded her in death.

Robert Wood Winzer, 91, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away Wednesday January 29, 2025, at Atchison Senior Village.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Rachel Dannar officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas. A visitation will be held the afternoon prior on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the funeral home. Robert was born on May 28, 1933, at the family home in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Everett and Ruth (Wood) Winzer. After graduating from Atchison High School, 1951, Robert served in the United States Army with the Heavy Mortar Co. 17th infantry Regiment APO 7 during the Korean War from June 17, 1953, to April 26, 1955. Robert Received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After retiring from the Army, Robert met Ollie Barker and they were married January 12, 1957, at the Presbyterian Church. Robert and Ollie recently celebrated 68 years of marriage.

Robert dedicated his life to farming. He shared his love of the land with his brothers, Everett and Aaron, as they operated the Winzer Brothers family farm. He took great pleasure in witnessing the growth of his family and enjoyed sharing his agricultural and mechanical knowledge with the younger generations. Robert also enjoyed hunting, fishing with the family and just being outdoors. He had an affection for trees and planted a large variety around the homestead.

Robert is survived by his wife Ollie, of the home; daughters Debbie (Dan) Orr, Topeka, KS, Karen (Bill) Stattelman, Topeka, KS, and Deanna (Tim) Murphy, Firestone, CO; grandsons Dillon (Amanda) Orr, Dalton (Kelly) Orr, Alex (Catlin) Stattelman, Sean Stattelman, Jeremiah (Mary Kate) Tyler and Joshua Tyler; step-grandsons Dan (Danielle) Orr and Joseph Yellowhorse-Murphy, and four great-grandchildren. Robert Wood Winzer, 91, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away Wednesday January 29, 2025, at Atchison Senior Village.Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Rachel Dannar officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas. A visitation will be held the afternoon prior on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to NEK Home Health and Hospice or Forest of Friendship and can be sent in care of Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Condolences for the family can be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.Robert was born on May 28, 1933, at the family home in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Everett and Ruth (Wood) Winzer. After graduating from Atchison High School, 1951, Robert served in the United States Army with the Heavy Mortar Co. 17th infantry Regiment APO 7 during the Korean War from June 17, 1953, to April 26, 1955. Robert Received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After retiring from the Army, Robert met Ollie Barker and they were married January 12, 1957, at the Presbyterian Church. Robert and Ollie recently celebrated 68 years of marriage.Robert dedicated his life to farming. He shared his love of the land with his brothers, Everett and Aaron, as they operated the Winzer Brothers family farm. He took great pleasure in witnessing the growth of his family and enjoyed sharing his agricultural and mechanical knowledge with the younger generations. Robert also enjoyed hunting, fishing with the family and just being outdoors. He had an affection for trees and planted a large variety around the homestead.Robert is survived by his wife Ollie, of the home; daughters Debbie (Dan) Orr, Topeka, KS, Karen (Bill) Stattelman, Topeka, KS, and Deanna (Tim) Murphy, Firestone, CO; grandsons Dillon (Amanda) Orr, Dalton (Kelly) Orr, Alex (Catlin) Stattelman, Sean Stattelman, Jeremiah (Mary Kate) Tyler and Joshua Tyler; step-grandsons Dan (Danielle) Orr and Joseph Yellowhorse-Murphy, and four great-grandchildren. Robert Wood Winzer 1933 - 2025

Larry Leroy Potts, 63, of St Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at home. He was born June 26, 1961 in St. Joseph, son of Dorothy and Herbert Potts. 

Larry attended Benton High School. He worked at St. Joseph Country Club for 34 years and later at Triumph Foods. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Larry was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed trips to Colorado. He also loved kids and animals. 

Larry was preceded in death by father, Herbert E. Potts, brothers, Herbert E. Potts and David Potts, Sr., sister, Roseanna Johnson. 

Survivors include mother, Dorothy Potts of St. Joseph, children, Jennifer (Matthew) Potts-Salasberry and Larry Potts II of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Kieara, Faith, &nbsp;Larry III, nieces, Wendy, Kelsey, Mary and family, was known as "Unc" to Ev, Denver and Dallas, his best friend and fishing buddy, Wannie Morgal, his beloved yorkie, Penelope (aka "Two pounds of Fury"), his grandpups, a large extended family and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday. Mr. Potts will be cremated following services.

Linda Susan McCoy 74, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 in a St. Joseph, MO hospital. She was born June 11, 1950 in St. Joseph, Missouri daughter of the late Laveran Lettie &amp; Carroll McCoy. 

She graduated from Bishop LeBlond High School, class of 1969. She worked as a caregiver. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, while thrifting and going to garage sales on the weekends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, Freda Halpin, son, Jason McCoy, brothers, Lonnie and Randell McCoy, sisters, Martha Halpin, and Charlene Peterson. 

She is survived by sons, Andy (Lisa), Nate, and Chris (Dana) McCoy all of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren: Michael, Allysa, Kenzington, Christian, Matt, Roman, Ashley, Awkman, Heaven Cohutta, Emad, Jensen, Columbiana, Kyle, Jesse, Kelby, Brendon, Zach, and Trevor, and her niece, Tammy Wright and nephew, Donald Halpin. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday the 7th, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
