Maysville, Missouri……Debra “Debbie” Lavonne Rhoad, age 64, was born November 24, 1959, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and passed away February 7, 2024, in St. Joseph, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie and Donnie Rhoad were united in marriage on June 6, 1997, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Debbie worked at Sunset Home in Maysville as a CNA most of her life.

Debbie enjoyed taking trips with Donnie, especially the multiple trips to Disney World, the casinos, and Las Vegas. She loved being outside working in her garden and flower beds, going on walks and car rides, and attending the races to watch Donnie, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Clarence Rhoad; mother-in-law, Ileene (Jim) Maynes; grandmother, Mary Eaton; and aunt, Jenny.

Survivors include her husband Donnie Rhoad of the home; children, Maddie Siders, Tina Clark, and Tyler Rhoad; brother-in-law, Danny (Emily) Rhoad; grandchildren, Austin, Emma, Haiyden, Paisley, Patrick, Josh and Chris; and numerous other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Maysville. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private family inurnment at Bethel cemetery will be held at a later date.

Catherin Laverna (Gann) Mink, 82, of Stewartsville, MO passed away, February 8, 2024.

She was born on February 6, 1942, to William Theodore and Edna Pearl (Wheeler) Gann in Easton, Missouri. She was a 1960 graduate of Easton High School.

On June 9, 1963 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Neil Mink. After their marriage they lived in Easton and later purchased a farm near Hemple where they raised their family and farmed 80 acres. With a growing family, she learned to make a little go a long way. She perfected her skills of baking bread and rolls, making jams, baking gooseberry pies and canning green beans. She milked cows, which was a chore she often spoke about from her childhood. She raised pigs, goats, sheep, chickens and horses. When she was not working on her farm, she helped with various jobs such as hanging wallpaper, babysitting, and was a compassionate caregiver to neighbors and friends in need. Her favorite pastimes included going to her children and grandchildren's school events and attending ALMOST EVERY auction in Northwest Missouri. She enjoyed farm life to the fullest. Catherin was a dedicated wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 58 years Lawrence Mink, her parents Edna and Theodore Gann, brothers, Lewis, John, Ival, Dennis and Billy Gann, sister Betty Jo and her beloved little sister Nancy Viola Gann.&nbsp;

Catherin is survived by her children, Eric Mink, Rachel (Mark) Rush, Amy Saxton (Scott Herring), Monica Mink, Jason (Becky) Mink, and Amanda (Dennis) Jung; grandchildren, Montana (Hannah) Rush, Jackson Rush, Michael (Hannah) Saxton, Sarah (Grant) Herbel, Hannah Saxton, Andy, Adam, Gracie, Gus, Clara, Cecilia, and Hugh Mink, Niki (Dalton) Fogle, and Wyatt and Wade Jung; great grandchildren, Bellamy and Creek Rush, Liam Herbel, Abigail Saxton and Jayden and Maverick Fogle. Tracy Lynn Brull, of Effingham, KS, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Tracy was born on October 21, 1971, to Leonard and Deann (Kearney) Wehking. She attended Atchison County Community Schools where she made many life-long friends. She graduated from ACCHS in 1990.

Tracy always had a love for helping people, so it is no surprise that she spent her whole career in a variety of customer service positions. She began her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield where she learned about insurance. She later used that knowledge to be a great resource to patients at the Atchison Hospital and then at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. &nbsp;Tracy spent her most recent years at the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, where she worked with a great team who loved her very much.

Tracy was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Effingham, Kansas and taught CCD when her sons were young. She also served on the Board of the Tiger Cub Football Club and spent most Saturdays in the stands, or the concession stand, rooting on her kids. She continued to provide service to the Tiger Cub Football Club even after her kids were older, helping her husband organize practices and equipment when he coached his nephews. As her sons moved to middle and high school, she continued cheering them on at the various sporting events.&nbsp;

Tracy was happiest when she was cooking for others. She was often the first to volunteer to provide a meal when one of her friends or family members had a party, special event, illness or death in the family. &nbsp;She loved to entertain guests, but she was often known to let them know when it was time to go home due to the chance of a “severe storm”. Tracy enjoyed reading and watching movies. &nbsp;She was a huge movie buff and could always tell you the names of actors and the movies they were in. &nbsp;She enjoyed taking ranger rides with her friends and family, which is where you could find her most weekends when the weather was nice. &nbsp;Nobody ever wondered what Tracy was thinking because she was quick to tell you. But that is truly what people loved most about her. &nbsp;Tracy was best described as the nicest, grumpy person you have ever met.

Tracy married the love of her life, Jeff Brull on November 22, 1997, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Atchison, Kansas. &nbsp;Together they raised two amazing sons, Branson and Brayden. Her sons were her pride and joy. Taking care of Jeff and her boys was what mattered most to her. &nbsp;Whether it was packing lunches, warming up vehicles on cold days, or staying up late to make sure that needed uniform was clean, she was willing to do it.

Tracy is survived by Jeff, her husband of 26 years, two sons, Branson and Brayden of Lancaster, Kansas, her mother Deann Wehking, Valley Falls, Kansas, her mother-in-law, Marilyn Brull, Atchison, Kansas, two sisters, Carla (Dave) Howe, Holton, Kansas, and Angela (Kelly) Gatzemeyer, Valley Falls, two brothers-in-law, Mark (Brenda) Brull, Atchison, Kansas, and Brian (Christie) Brull, Effingham, Kansas, two nieces, four nephews, two great-nephews and more family and friends than you can count. Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Wehking, her father-in-law, Jim Brull, and an infant brother, Monte Wehking.&nbsp;

Virginia was born January 12, 1925, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Frank and Audrea (Overstreet) Neely. Virginia and her family moved to the Atchison area while she was in grade school. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1943. Virginia was an assistant cook in the dietary department at the Atchison Hospital. She was a member of the Riverbend Bible Church and helped at the Shepherd Center. Throughout the years Virginia has collected butterfly trinkets, and music boxes but her most treasured collection was her dolls. She enjoyed traveling, dancing with her husband to a live band, and the occasional margarita. Virginia also adored spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

&nbsp;Virginia first married John Willmeth, he preceded her in October of 1966. She then married Leo F. King on February 20, 1969; he preceded on January 6, 2016. She is survived by five daughters, Barbara Wood, Atchison, KS, Linda (Mike) Piper, Atchison, KS, Mary Merrill, Atchison, KS, Shirley (Bill) Wyland, Atchison, KS, Frances (Gary) Mason, Atchison, KS, one son, Larry King, Lexington, MO, a daughter-in-law Dee King, Portsmouth, VA, eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and an abundant number of great-great grandchildren.&nbsp;

Cecil Harold Thornton Jr. 91, of Savannah, MO, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 in a St. Joseph, MO health care center. He was born July 30, 1932 in Doniphan County, Kansas, son of the late Helen &amp; Cecil Thornton Sr.

Carlene Claire Moran, 72, of St. Joseph, passed away February 10, 2024. &nbsp;Carlene was born August 1, 1951, in St. Joseph, to Mathias Lloyd and Maude Esther (Inscho) Marx.

She attended St. Mary's Grade School and was a graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School.

She had worked for Dr. Childress' office and Billies Unique Boutique.

Carlene married William Moran in April of 1978 and he survives. &nbsp;Also surviving are a son Lee Nathan Moran; daughter Michelle Moran; granddaughters, Whitney Moran, Madison Moran; two great-granddaughters Bella, Lucille; sisters Deanna Marx, Carol Marx-Ruth (Rich Ruth); and nieces, Emily and Rosalind Ruth.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers and interior decorating.

Carlene Claire Moran 1951 - 2024

Clarence B. Miller, a cherished member of the St. Joseph, MO, community, passed away peacefully February 8, 2024 at Mosaic Life Care.

He was born August 24, 1928 to John and Katherine Miller in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Clarence was a master glass blower at Roderick signs and 75 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Family was of utmost importance to Clarence. &nbsp;He shared a deep and loving partnership with his late wife Bessie Miller, from 1947 until her passing in 2010. &nbsp;The couple brought three wonderful children into the world, Ronald Miller, Kevin Miller and Lisa Miller. &nbsp;Clarence was also blessed with seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

His unending kindness, unwavering integrity, and deep love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Rest in peace Clarence. &nbsp;Your light continues to shine brightly, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing you. &nbsp;

Your legacy lives on in the countless lives you've touched with your love and kindness.

Services will be Friday, February 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. &nbsp;Burial will follow in the Helena Cemetery. &nbsp;Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12:00 Friday at the funeral home.

Miller, a cherished member of the St. Joseph, MO, community, passed away peacefully February 8, 2024 at Mosaic Life Care.He was born August 24, 1928 to John and Katherine Miller in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.Clarence was a master glass blower at Roderick signs and 75 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.Family was of utmost importance to Clarence. &nbsp;He shared a deep and loving partnership with his late wife Bessie Miller, from 1947 until her passing in 2010. &nbsp;The couple brought three wonderful children into the world, Ronald Miller, Kevin Miller and Lisa Miller. &nbsp;Clarence was also blessed with seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.His unending kindness, unwavering integrity, and deep love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.Rest in peace Clarence. &nbsp;Your light continues to shine brightly, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing you. &nbsp;Your legacy lives on in the countless lives you've touched with your love and kindness.Services will be Friday, February 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. &nbsp;Burial will follow in the Helena Cemetery. &nbsp;Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12:00 Friday at the funeral home.<figure>

Following this she spent the remainder of her life in the Union Star and King City, MO areas where they raised their family. During this time, she was a member of Orchid Christian Church and later moved her membership to the King City Christian Church.&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Some of Jean’s interests through the years were helping with 4-H as a project leader, book club, painting and drawing, singing, and doing posters for the community theatre. She worked several jobs through the years with flower designing and then as a paraprofessional with the King City School District before retiring.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, Clyde and Buena; brothers, Jerry, Karan, and Keith Hill; son, Michael; granddaughter, Alaina Bashor Higgins, and great grandson, Bryan Templeman.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rhonda Jo Felt 59, of Agency, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024. She was born November 4, 1964 in St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter of the late Beverly &amp; Eugene Swoboda. She graduated from Wathena High School, worked at E-Z Money Loan as a cashier. She enjoyed knitting, reading, playing games, and crossword puzzles. She was a Catholic. 

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Scott and Mark Swoboda, nephews, Kyle Juhl and Kent Sherlock, mother in law, Elsie "Nanny" Felt, and brother in law, Kenny Sherlock. She is survived by sons, Trevis and Matthew Felt of St. Joseph, MO, former husband, Bruce  Felt of Saint Joseph, MO, sister, Jeanan Sherlock of Dearborn, MO, brother, Curt (Tammy) Swoboda, Wathena, KS,  nieces, Tricia Sherlock-Dunham, Nancy Simmons, and Samantha Sherlock, beloved nanny for years and great aunt to Karahlynn &amp; Payton, other great nieces and nephews, Skylar, Addyson, Kayla &amp; Kinzie, her companion, Patrick Dreier, as well as numerous friends.

Donna enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, working in the yard, and camping.&nbsp;

Survivors include one son Keith (Laurie) Hoover, Dekalb, MO, one daughter Amy (Steve) Enyart, Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren, Nathan Hoover, Erin Frakes, Cory Peck, and Austin Peck, and seven great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Delaney, Calvin Levi, Liam, Eliza, Sawyer, and Ayden and one sister Patty Hardesty, Omaha, NE. Virginia Lea (Bomar) Conner, 79, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2024 at a care facility in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

Born June 16, 1944, she was the daughter of Burrell Bomar and Mildred Bomar née Rauch of Bigelow.&nbsp;

Virginia was preceded by her husband, Jerry Lee Conner; brother, Frederick Bomar; sister, Lavella Grimm; and son, Clark Brownlee.

Virginia is survived by three children, Stephen (Karen) Brownlee of Portland, MO, Blake (Kimberly) Brownlee of Richmond, MO, and Stephenie (Chris) Price of Okatie, SC; grandchildren, Kyle Brownlee, Cole Brownlee, Colton (Bailey) Brownlee, Jase Price, Quinn Price, Jonathan Thompson and Joseph Abarr; and great grandson, August Price. She enjoyed a large family of many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ken Beck, 87, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.&nbsp;

He was born September 30, 1936 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Lock Haven, then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, based in Tokyo, Japan.

Between being in the military and attending the Milwaukee School of Broadcasting, Ken liked to say that he graduated from the “school of hard knocks.” A voracious reader, he was self-taught on many subjects and was a “news hawk.”

Ken married Ruth Kornblum on December 10, 1960. To this union three children were born. Ruth and Ken later divorced. On February 14, 1980, Ken married Angela Ward, and two more children completed his family. Angie survives of the home.

Ken’s career started out in Mexico, Missouri at KXEO Radio, then the family moved to Maryville, Missouri, where he worked at KNIM. When KFEQ-TV hired Ken in advertising sales, the family moved to St. Joseph, where he spent the rest of his life.

He was passionate about serving his community. He held membership and leadership positions in many organizations: the Lions Club for 56 years; Missouri Lions Leadership Committee; Toastmasters International, Advanced Toastmaster Accomplished-Bronze; Northwest Missouri Republican Club; Missouri Air Commission; Buchanan County Extension Service; St. Joseph Advertising Foundation; St. Joseph Traffic Commission; St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce; St. Joseph Public Library Board; Board of Trustees for River Bluffs Regional Library; 12th Ward Committeeman; Smart Growth Committee; City of St. Jospeh Planning &amp; Zoning Adjustment Board; City of St. Joseph Planning &amp; Zoning Board; St. Joseph Regional Port Authority Board; and the Travel &amp; Tourism Board. He also was a member of the St. Joseph City Council from 2013-2017.

Ken’s faith in God was central to his life. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

He also cherished his family, and had coached his children’s baseball and T-Ball teams.

He was a plain-spoken, honest man who had tremendous integrity. As his family and friends at the King’s Table at Smooth Endings can attest, Ken told it like it was. If you asked for his opinion, he gladly gave it to you.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Beck; and siblings, John Gugliocciello, Phyllis Weber, and Eugene Gugliocciello.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 44 years, Angie; his children, Julie Burke (Brad), Robert Beck (Stacie), Timothy Beck (Denise), Krista Bodinson, and Gwen Neidel; grandchildren, Jesse, Emily, Katie, Ryan, Andrew, Ethan, Sara, Trevor, Breanna, Jackson, Carson, Seth and Scott; great-grandchildren, Elliana, Kyson and Martin; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Gugliocciello; and brother-in-law, Dennis Weber.

Hazel was born in Easton, Missouri on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1918.&nbsp; She had a twin brother Harold (Bob) Ruoff.

She was a member of the Wyatt Park Christian Church.&nbsp; She was a member of CWF.

Hazel is survived by 3 daughters, Carol Cowan of Gallatin, Missouri, Kathleen (Larry) High of Effingham, Kansas and Dixie McQuate of Stewartsville, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Anderson, her parents, 5 brothers and sisters.

Hazel Anderson 1918 - 2024

Todd Frederick Derks, &nbsp;61, of St. Joseph, passed away February 6, 2024. &nbsp;Todd was born February 12, 1962 in St. Joseph to Robert F. and Elaine Derks.

Todd had worked for a number of years at Specialty Industries. &nbsp;He was a social butterfly. &nbsp;He loved to dance, joke around, had a great sense of humor, loved animals, and especially loved 80's rock and roll music.

Survivors include a brother, Brad Derks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, February 16, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.

Todd Frederick Derks, &nbsp;61, of St. Joseph, passed away February 6, 2024. &nbsp;Todd was born February 12, 1962 in St. Joseph to Robert F. and Elaine Derks.Todd had worked for a number of years at Specialty Industries. &nbsp;He was a social butterfly. &nbsp;He loved to dance, joke around, had a great sense of humor, loved animals, and especially loved 80's rock and roll music.Survivors include a brother, Brad Derks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be Friday, February 16, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.<figure>

William Roy Weese, 72, of St. Joseph, MO, sadly passed away on February 5, 2024.

He was born on January 30, 1952, to William H. and Lois Jean (Stewart) Weese in Gentry County, MO.

William lived on his family farm a good portion of his life before moving to St. Joseph. &nbsp;He attended the Gentryville Church. &nbsp;He spent a lifetime enjoying the outdoors, &nbsp;hunting, fishing, and spending time of the farm.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Virgil (Pete) Stewart and a brother-in-law Jim Hays.

Survivors include his stepfather Virgil Stewart of Atchison, KS; sister Vivian Hays of St. Joseph; brothers Randy Stewart of St. Joseph, Kenneth Stewart of&nbsp; Atchison, KS; nephews James Hays, Jr. and Jeremy Hays (Holly) of St. Joseph; great-nephew and niece Dalton and Nevaeh; as well as other nieces and nephews.

William was a friend to everyone he met. &nbsp;He dearly loved his family. &nbsp;He loved to help others and will be dearly missed by so many.

Esther Ellen Teaney, 100, of DeKalb, MO passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 in a Kansas City, KS. assisted living facility. She was born June 27, 1923 in DeKalb, MO, daughter of the late Annie (Hiatt) and Frank Downing. She graduated from DeKalb High School class of 1941 and married Paris "Jack" Teaney Jr. on May 8, 1944 in Atchison, KS. She retired from Geeco Sign Company and was a homemaker. 

Esther enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, she loved to sew and was very talented at knitting, crochet, and quilting. She also loved watching sports, especially baseball, basketball and football.

 Esther was preceded in death by husband, Paris "Jack" Teaney Jr., her parents, sister, Betty Spillman, brothers, Everett and Russell Downing.

On Sunday, February 2, 2024, Jean Ann Arn, 78, of Savannah, MO, peacefully passed from this world and entered her Heavenly home.

Jean was a Godly woman who deeply loved the Lord, her family and her many friends. She enjoyed quilting, gospel music, Cherry Mash candy bars, gardening and Bible study. &nbsp;An avid Scrabble player, Jean played anyone at any time!

Jean was born on December 3, 1945 (12345- which thrilled her to no end), to the late Walter A. and Rosella Ann Anderson. Her twin sister, Jane Suedemeyer, and brother Walter, Jr. proceeded her in death as did her son, Officer Bradley T. Arn.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald Arn of Savannah; daughter, Michelle (Brian) Poelma of Columbia, MO and daughter-in-law, Andrea Arn of Savannah. She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren: Molleigh (Dalton) Haenni, Layla and Scout: Malloree (Calvin) Froehlich, Evelyn and Tatem and Sadie Poelma.

Jeans family will receive friends and family on Thursday, February 8th from 6-8 PM at Breit and Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. A celebration of a life well lived will be held on Friday, February 9th at 10 AM at the same location. Internment to occur at Memorial Park, St. Joseph.

Sharon Kay Raines, 83, of Cosby, MO went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 3, 2024 at a local nursing facility in Savannah. &nbsp;She was born July 25, 1940 to John Gilbert and Agnes Irene (Meers) Elliott. She married her soulmate Herman Duane Raines on September 9, 1960 in Savannah, MO and he survives of the home.

Sharon was active with her church and loved being outside. &nbsp;She was a 1958 graduate of Savannah High School. &nbsp;Sharon worked at Noma Lites before starting a career in the income tax field. She enjoyed going to all of her nieces and nephews ball games, birthday parties, and any other activities they were involved in. &nbsp;Sharon will be greatly missed.&nbsp;

The family would like to thank the nurses at Mosaic, Shady Lawn, and ASERA Hospice for the tender care they gave her.

Survivors include her husband; children, Randy D. Carol Whetstine, 85, formerly of Highland, Kansas passed away February 6, 2024, at her home in Troy, Kansas surrounded by family.

Carol was born on June 27, 1938, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Asa and Wilma (Blakley) Mace.

Carol married Ray Lee Whetstine on June 26, 1954, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas.

In addition to Carol’s dedication to family and friends, she had many passions. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting and painting.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billie Mace, sister, Jackie Saville, granddaughter, Robin (Rodgers) Lowe, great-granddaughter, Addison Lowe, sons-in-law, Gary Kafer and Ronny Rodgers.

Survivors include her children, Darlene McNemee (Bill), Darla Hedrick (Guy), Glenda Rodgers and Daniel Whetstine (Sheri). 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Lou Bechtold. Brother, Leon Mace. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol’s wishes were to be cremated under the direction of the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home.

Brandon “B-Poz” Polsgrove, 49, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024.&nbsp;

He was born July 6, 1974 in St. Joseph to Gregory and Linda (Campbell) Polsgrove.

He was a firefighter for the St. Joseph Fire Department for 11 years. He was given the nickname “B-Poz” because his dad, who also worked for the department, already had the nickname “Poz.”

Brandon loved fishing, mushroom hunting, and taking care of his house and yard.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Erma Campbell and Jessie Leon Campbell; and paternal grandmother, Opal M. Polsgrove.

Barbara Ann Banning, 78, Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024.

She was born October 5, 1945 in Blue Eye, Missouri to Charles and Bessie (Donaldson) Bonham.

Barbara loved being outdoors in nature and spending time with her family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and 8 siblings, Charles, Willard, Dillard, Billy, Donald, Bobbie, Gerald and Nadine.

She is survived by 4 children, Jacque, Marcie, Mike, Stephanie; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Linda Kay Stull, 73, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, February 5, 2024, at her home in Elwood, Kansas.

Linda was born on February 17, 1950, in Elwood, Kansas to Edward and Ester “Sissy” (Harris) Morris.

She worked for the Elwood Schools as a cook for many years, and the local Conoco and Trex Mart.

Linda married Tom Stull on July 27, 1979, in Elwood, Kansas. He survives of the home.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Additional survivors: her children, Jeff Stull (Lisa). Tina Silbowski (Jeff), TJ Stull (Zach Harris), and Lacey Gabler (Mike).

Grandchildren, Kalyn Blanton, Dade Stull, Linzi Angsten and Lexi Light.

Great-grandchildren, Oaklee, Huxley and Emmie.

Linda Kay Stull 1950 - 2024

Sara Ann (Yost) Page, only child to Ernest “Mike” and Louesa (Anderson) Yost, passed away on February 3, 2024 at Two Timbers Alternative Living in Highland, Kansas. She was 85 years old. She was born on August 1, 1938 in Atchison Kansas. Sara had many jobs that she enjoyed. She worked for her dad, Mike, as his bookkeeper at Yost Motor Company. She was a substitute para for Doniphan County Education Co-Op. You could find her on Saturdays helping out at the Weiland grocery store in Bendena. But mostly she was a homemaker, which was her greatest joy, taking care of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Sara married her high school sweetheart Jack Page on May 12, 1957, in Atchison, Kansas. They started dating when he was a senior and she was a junior, at Atchison High School. They said they were going to a football game on their first date, but went to the movies. They were married 64 years before his death in 2021. They were both long term residents of Bendena Kansas.

Sara was a member of her local quilters guild and an avid seamstress. A lot of times you could find her sitting at her machine working on different projects for her grandkids and great grandkids. She was always up for any sewing challenge, whether it was sewing 35 lemur tails or making a quick-change Elsa dress for her granddaughter’s theater group. Sara was also a member of the Bendena Homemaker’s Club for many years. She enjoyed reading and crafts such as knitting, crocheting, quilting, and embroidery.

Sara was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the matriarch of her family and the center of every family gathering She was a strong mother and grandmother who loved fiercely and gave of her time to her family and friends free and unconditionally. Sara enjoyed spending time in her garden and surrounded by her children and grandchildren. A lot of her time was spent with her family around the kitchen table talking while she sewed, shelled peas, or working on some other great idea her grandkids talked her into such as a tik tok dance or taking pictures with snap chat filters. Her hands were so tough from wear, yet so gentle with kindness and love. Sara also enjoyed cooking and a lot of times she would say she was a short order cook as she would cook up her families favorite meals that she had named after them such as Becky and Chrissy donuts.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant twin sons Curtis and Richard and an infant great-nephew, Ted Trainer. Survivors include her 2 daughters: Rosann (David) Mattox of Wathena, and Jennifer (Terry) Fuhrman of Hiawatha, Kansas; 1 son Kevin (Susan) Page of Atchison, Kansas; and 1 niece that she helped raise, Dawn (Jeff) Moore of Beloit, WI. Additional survivors include 8 grandchildren: Brian (Tracy) McNett, Jeremy McNett, Christina (Johnathon) Smith, Rebecca (Nathaniel) Anderson, Ryan Page, Matthew Page, Kimble Trainer, and Anna Fuhrman; 8 great grandchildren: Brianca and Delanie McNett; Kiersten, Taaron, and Jaivaren Smith; Madison, Hunter, and Hannah Anderson; and 1 great-great-grandchild, Damon Corpus.

FUNERAL: Thursday, February 8, 2024 – 11:00 am.

At: Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas

Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery in Troy, Kansas
