Rose Mazvinsky, 103, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
She was born March 22, 1921 to Joseph and Frieda (Sawicki) Berman in Szczuczyn, Poland.
She found her first love in Harry Geller, marrying him on December 10, 1944. Together they faced life’s complexities until Harry's untimely passing in 1958. She later married William "Bill" Mazvinsky, on June 10, 1962. Their partnership lasted until his passing in September 2005. Rose was also preceded in death by her son, James Geller, and her brothers, Morris and Sidney Berman.
Rose co-owned Midland Building Specialties Co. and worked as a bookkeeper.
Beyond her work, Rose was truly a social and charitable force. Her service included roles like President and Treasurer of B'nai Sholem Sisterhood, Temple B'nai Sholem Board of Directors involvement, and membership in Hadassah, Runcie Club, and the Women's Chamber of Commerce. Her love for Bridge and Mahjong resonated through the community, being an avid player and enthusiast.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Geller; and grandson, Brandon Geller (Charly Viola).
Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 10:00 A.M. Friday, Shaare Sholem Cemetery.
