Betty Carol (Endsley) Jacobs, 90, of St. Joseph, Missouri; went home to be with her Lord on January 31st, 2025.
Betty was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on January 26th, 1935 to Charles E. and Gladys D. (Daughtery) Endsley. She was a member of St. Patrick's and Our Lady of Guadeloupe Catholic churches. She attended Lafayette High School and worked at the old Sister's Hospital and Heartland Hospital over her healthcare career.
She was married to Ed Merritt, Sr. (75), James F. Kilkenny (59), and Delmar "Boogie" Jacobs (78), who passed in 1999, 1986, and 2016, respectively.
She is survived by 4 sons: Ed Merritt Jr. (Karen), Steve Merritt (Mary), Jim Kilkenny (Tami), and Mike Kilkenny. She is also had 9 grandchildren; David, Amanda, Resse, Mason, Gabriel, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Michael, and Michaela, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Roger Merritt (61), Dennis Merritt (16), and Patrick Kilkenny (45), and her only daughter, Lana Kay Mars (31).
A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 followed by a prayer service, officiated by Deacon John Nash at 3:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel at 3609 Frederick Blvd. St. Joseph, Missouri 64506.
