Judith Ann (Judy) Morgan, 84, of Saint Joseph, MO, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2024, after battling a lengthy Illness.

Born October 31, 1941, in Saint Joseph, MO, to Dallas Monroe and Helen Mae (Brown) Hatton, Judy was second of four girls. Lifelong friends, Judy was in constant contact with her sisters Sonja (Sonie) Morgan, St. Joseph, MO, Donna DeVore-Salazar, San Francisco, CA and Janice Hinkle, St. Joseph, MO.

Judy was married to her beloved Jackie Lynn (Jack) Morgan in May 1969 and together they raised their 5 sons, Daniel J. Oliver, St. Joseph, MO, A. Blane Morgan, Kansas City, KS, Jackie Lynn Morgan, Jr. (Mary), Las Vegas, NV,  Darrin R. Oliver, St. Joseph, MO, and Jeff J. Morgan, St. Joseph, MO. Judy loved to be surrounded by family including her many grandchildren, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Judy worked as rural postal carrier for The United States Postal Service in the St. Joseph, MO area. Judy was a member of the Faith United Church, St. Joseph, MO. Judy was also a life-long lover of animals and never met a furry, four-legged friend she did not make friends or family with, many times bringing them home. Judy was perhaps happiest in her garden, tending to her chickens, or tromping with her yellow Lab companion Chloe.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack L. Morgan, 2003, sisters Sonja Morgan (Charles), 2025, Donna DeVore-Salazar (Lucas), 2020, and Janice Hinkle (Charles), 2024.

As Judy wished, she will be interned at the Mount Auburn Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO beside her husband Jack L. Morgan’s final resting place. Family is planning immediate burial to be followed by an informal celebration of life to be held at a later date. Details will follow.
