Holly Michelle Dewar, 44, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at her home following a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born January 29, 1980 in St. Joseph, daughter of Susan (Robbins) and Leslie Kunzler. 

She graduated from Benton High School, class of 1998. On September 15, 2001, she married Jeffery Dewar in St. Joseph . Holly began her career in Insurance at American Family Insurance. She later joined Philadelphia Insurance Companies, where she was working up until her illness. Holly loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed going on float trips and shopping. 

Holly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Wilma Robbins and paternal grandfather, Dee Kunzler.

 Survivors include husband, Jeff Dewar and their daughter, Kailyn Dewar of the home, mother, Susan Robbins of St. Joseph, father, Leslie (Chris) Kunzler of Cameron, MO, brother, Blaine Kunzler of St. Joseph, paternal grandmother, Juanita Kunzler of St. Joseph, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday December 12, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mrs. Dewar will be cremated following services.

Diane Lynn Hunt 59, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 in a St. Joseph, MO hospital. She was born on October 12, 1965, in Atchison, KS to the late Marcella and Albert Stolp. Laura Marie (Smith) Poet, 57, of St. Joseph, Missouri, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, nana, and friend, went to be with Jesus on December 5, 2024 after a long battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Diagnosed originally with what was thought to be breast cancer in 2011, family and friends are encouraged to think of the last thirteen years as “bonus” years.

Laura was born February 9, 1967, in Joplin, Missouri, to Robert Eugene and Myra Lou (Balding) Smith and spent her childhood and youth in Salina and Hays, KS, and Loveland and Longmont, CO. She attended Hays High School and graduated from Skyline High School in Longmont in 1985. She attended Colorado State University and Ottawa University (KS) before marrying her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey Lawrence Poet, on July 5, 1987, on his parents’ farm outside of Longmont, devoting the rest of her life to being a wife and mother.

Laura is preceded in death by her father Robert, her maternal grandparents Edgar and Mildred (Wright) Balding of Arvada, CO, and her paternal grandparents Harold and Helen (Erwin) Smith of Newcastle, IN. She is survived by her husband, Jeff, of the home, and her eight children and eight grandchildren: Jessica Poet and Luka of St. Joseph; Liesl (Orion) Diehl and Savannah, Ophelia, and Gwenivere of Panama City Beach, FL; Andrew (Caitlyn) Poet and Elizabeth and Leo of Boonville, MO; Moriah (Noah) Gibler and Adelyn and Eleanor of Kaycee, WY; Sara (Connor) Stewart of Dearborn, MO; Micah (Libby) Poet of St. Joseph; Jacob Poet and Shiloh Poet, of the home. She is also survived by her mother Myra Smith of St. Joseph, her sister Lanna (Mark) Trembath of Troy, KS, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Laura invested her time and energy into her relationships with her family and friends. She homeschooled all eight of her kids over a continuous span of more than 30 years. She was active in Sunday School and church at several churches over the course of her life and studied the Bible on her own each morning and with groups of friends. She loved her Lord Jesus and deeply desired for others, especially her children and grandchildren, to know and trust Him as well.

Over the years, Laura sewed many outfits for kids and grandkids and made many quilts, including quilts for special events like weddings and births. Each quilt was tailored to the would-be recipient, reflecting the care and love that Laura had for the person. Other hobbies and pastimes included reading, playing games with family, watching Jeopardy, photography and scrapbooking, running, disc golf (begun during the pandemic), and traveling. She traveled to Europe on three occasions, visited 45 of the 48 contiguous United States, enjoyed a multi-generational trip to Hawaii, and took a cruise to the Bahamas with Jeff for their 30th anniversary.

Laura’s spirit is now with Jesus in Heaven. Her body will be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph, MO, on Monday, December 9 at 2:00 with a visitation/reception time with family to immediately follow. Attendees are asked to bring items made for them by Laura (quilts, zipper bags, pajamas, dance/play costumes, homemade cards, etc.) for display at during the reception.

Luellyn M. Kinney 1929-2024

Dorothy Wilmina (Agnor) Kurtz was born on October 24, 1926 in Xenia, Ohio. She was one of four children of Herman and Alma (Carman) Agnor. &nbsp;Dorothy graduated from Central High School, Xenia, Ohio and attended Ozark Bible College for two years.

On August 22, 1952 she married Herbert Kurtz in Xenia. They celebrated over 54 years of marriage before his death on March 15, 2007.&nbsp;

Dorothy was a typical farm wife of her generation, and served as the pianist at New Point Christian Church for many years. She also taught Sunday school and Bible school classes there. &nbsp;She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren, and served as “Prayer Warrior” for her entire family.

After Herbert’s death she sold the farm and moved to Oregon. Dorothy volunteered at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Missouri, the Oregon Care Center, and Hope House in Forest City.&nbsp;

Dorothy passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at a Mound City, Missouri care center.&nbsp;

She was also preceded in death by two children, Eva Lynn Kurtz and Lyle Thomas “Tom” Kurtz; brothers-in-law, Willard Delaney, Bill Duncan, Emmett and Ivan Kurtz, and George Mohler; and sisters-in-law, Maxine Kurtz,&nbsp;Emma Lou Kurtz, and Verlene Mohler.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Ron) Riggsby, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Suzanne Catterson (Mike Hoeper) Oregon, Missouri; sisters, Evelyn Delaney, Bucyrus, Ohio, and Rita Duncan, Xenia, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Omalee Agnor, Xenia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Andrea LeBakken, Preston Catterson, Kaitlin Bradley, Jennifer Riggsby, Stephanie Riggsby, and Trevor Riggsby; seven great grandchildren, Laini Sisk, Lukas Lebakken, Jaidan, Kennedy and Beau Catterson, Jayden and Tristan Riggsby, and Bristol Bradley; and nieces and nephews.

Kerry Sue Pilgram Erickson, age 78, was born September 9, 1946 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of MK (Tommy) and Betty June (Bush) Pilgram and passed away December 3, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer, her daughters at her side.

Kerry graduated from Benton High School Class of 1964 and kept in close contact with her classmates and friends.&nbsp; Kerry married Richard Clampitt in 1965 and to this union two daughters were born. She was an animal lover, she rescued and cared for many dogs and cats over the years.&nbsp; Kerry was Postmaster at Amity, Missouri Post Office and retired with over 20 years of service.&nbsp; She had a “Green Thumb” and could grow the most beautiful flowers and was even featured in&nbsp;St Joseph NewsPress&nbsp;with her flower garden on&nbsp;11th Street.&nbsp; In 1986 she married LaVerne Berry until his passing in 2014 and later her High School sweetheart Robert Michael (Mike) Erickson in 2016.&nbsp;She enjoyed living on the farm in Amity and was a member of Amity United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Clampitt, LaVerne Berry (2014), and Mike Erickson (2020); and brother, Larry Lynn Pilgram.

Kerry Pilgram Erickson 1946-2024

Larry Dale Hohimer, of Ferrelview, MO passed away December 5, 2024.

He was born on July 24, 1943, to Glenn and Nina M. (Wright) Hohimer in Cloma, MO. Larry graduated from Park Hill High School in 1961.

On October 19, 1963, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Von dem Fange. After their marriage they made their home in Ferrelview.

Larry retired from GM Motors in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Larry enjoyed tinkering with old cars and lawnmowers, reading, watching old western movies and was an avid NASCAR fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Nina Hohimer and an infant sister.

Larry is survived by his wife Mary Hohimer; daughters Sheryl Relyea and husband Denny and Shawn Roetman and husband Tony; grandchildren Tyler (Beth), Aaron, Scott and Emily (Arin); great-grandchildren Kian and Evelyn; brothers Gary (Jean) Hohimer and Ronnie (Syndi) Hohimer; sisters Glenda Mynatt, Diann (Steve) Harralson, Connie Laterra and Rita Benskin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Larry Dale Hohimer, of Ferrelview, MO passed away December 5, 2024.He was born on July 24, 1943, to Glenn and Nina M. (Wright) Hohimer in Cloma, MO. Larry graduated from Park Hill High School in 1961.On October 19, 1963, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Von dem Fange. After their marriage they made their home in Ferrelview.Larry retired from GM Motors in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Larry enjoyed tinkering with old cars and lawnmowers, reading, watching old western movies and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was born on July 27, 1971, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to David Mitchell and Judy Lynn (Tapee) Geiler.

He was proud of having attended Lafayette High School in St. Joseph.

David was a devoted member of the Methodist faith, gleaning strength and solace from his beliefs. His passion for music, fondness for fishing, and cherished moments spent with loved ones were the cornerstones of his recreation. These simple joys were reflections of a life richly lived.

He is survived by his mother, Judy (Jerry) Geiler; his son, David Coburn, Jr.; sisters Joyce Coburn and Jennifer Geiler; as well as some nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and several friends. Sherwin “Jet” Goo, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024.

He was born July 21, 1940 in China to Norman and Gwen Goo.

Sherwin married Annie Wong Leong on November 20, 1965. She survives of the home.

He was a glazier by trade and worked on many skyscrapers in Hawaii before moving stateside.

In his younger years, Sherwin enjoyed boating, then later traveling through the United States in his RV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gordon Goo.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Goo; daughter, Shareann Hendrix (Scott) of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Calvin, Celeste, Charlie and Amanda Hendrix; siblings, Paul Goo of Cerritas, California, Charlotte Cordes of Kailua, Hawaii, Melvin Goo of Aiea, Hawaii, Hilton Goo and Jerry Goo, both of Lakewood, California.

Debbie Nelson (Mathers), 69, Clinton Township, Michigan, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024.

She was born January 6, 1955 in Salina, Kansas at the Smoky Hill Air Force Base to Bobby and Betty (Hixson) Nelson.

Debbie loved the Lord and was on numerous prayer chains.

Music was her soul, which she expressed when she and her first husband Bruce performed with Daddy and the Warbucks.

Debbie was a beautician with licenses in both Missouri and Michigan and was owner/operator of her own shop in Warren, Michigan.

After returning to St. Joseph, Debbie was owner/operator of Yellow Cab Co. and a limo service. She later relocated to Michigan with her limo service, then worked for pharmaceutical company before retiring.

In retirement, Debbie’s true spirit came alive as she traveled extensively across the country.

An outgoing person who knew no strangers, Debbie’s heart, generosity and caring were well known. She would be there for anyone in need and also was a foster parent to many kids in Michigan. This caring extended to the four-legged companions in her life, especially her beloved dog, Fatima, whom she adored.

Most of all, Debbie was a loyal, loving sister to Tanya, who considered Debbie her “2nd mother.”

She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Ronnie Polkingharn and Todd Nelson, Sr.; nephew, Todd Nelson, Jr.; and grandmother, Betty “Nan” Whitaker.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Hillson (Dave); her sons, Marshall Mathers III, and Nathan K. She was born September 26, 1961 to Alfred E. Sr. and Betty N. (Armstrong) Cummings in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Alberta dedicated 35 years of service to Specialty Industries. She was never one to sit still, exhibiting a love for life through her participation in the Special Olympics as an avid bowler and other activities. Her passion also extended to vacations and cheering for the Chiefs Football team.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alfred Cummings, Jr.; sister, Nancy Cummings; half-siblings, Nolan Didlo, Betty June Fitzpatrick, and Billy Cummings.

Survivors include her siblings, Leveda White (Richard), Mary Ramos, Lisa Cummings, and Robert Cummings, as well as her half-siblings Connie White (Ron), Ernest Didlo (Janet), and Homer Didlo.

Jim worked for All Parts Auto Salvage, Wichita, KS. He enjoyed working on cars, playing pool, four-wheeling, fishing, watching MacGyver and spending time with family friends and pets. Jim was always smiling and having fun.

Betty Jean Duncan 92, of Agency, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at a St. Joseph health care facility. She was born September 27, 1932 in Gentry County, MO, daughter of Martha Cecil and Edgar Gillpatrick. 

She attended Albany Schools. &nbsp;In 1962, she married George "Bill" Duncan. Betty worked many jobs, including Chase Candy Co, Westab, and Mead Products. She was an avid Bowler, and enjoyed playing softball. Betty kept a beautiful home, and often stayed busy with sewing, cooking, doing crafts and ceramics. She also enjoyed traveling alongside her husband Bill on their motorcycle with the Shriner's. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, and served as Past President and The Order of The Eastern Star. 

Betty was preceded in death by husband, George "Bill" William Duncan, her parents, 3 sons, David, Roger, and Jim, her siblings, Leola, Lloyd, Kenneth, Ginny, A.C., Gerald, and Larry. 

Survivors include: children, Pamela (Ronald) Hitchings of Agency, MO, Max Kendall of St. Joseph, Dan (Jacky) Stewart of St. Joseph, brother, Bob (Sandy) Gillpatrick of Overland Park, KS, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty Jean Duncan 1932 - 2024

William Henry "Bill" Jones passed away at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville, MO on November 26, 2024 with his sister Ruth Ann Jones and niece Tracy &nbsp;L. Jones at his bedside.

William Henry was born November 27, 1940 in Fayette, MO to Henry and Nora (Bush) Jones. &nbsp;He graduated from Fayette High School in 1958. William Henry Joined the U.S. Navy in 1958. During his military service, he was a Medic, and he was honorably discharged in 1962.

&nbsp;In 1966 William Henry married Fay Green, and they had one son, William Scott Jones.&nbsp;

William Henry was employed at St Joseph Psychiatric Hospital. On February 2, 1970, he was hired as a Corrections Officer at Leavenworth Federal Prison, was promoted several times throughout his career, and retired September 30, 1990 as a Senior Officer Specialist. William Henry also received many Awards and Commendations during his employment at Leavenworth Federal Prison. After retirement he was employed part time at the Kansas City International Airport. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. &nbsp;He also enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. &nbsp;

Those left to mourn his passing include: step- daughters, Vivian Green and Linda Green both of Kansas, City, MO, sisters, Nancy Jones and husband Donald of Fayette, MO and Ruth Ann Jones of Columbia, MO, nephews William Jones of Boonville, MO, Donald Jones of Moberly, MO, niece Tracy L. Jones of Columbia, MO, Long-time Special Friends, Sandra King, Kevin King, Chave' May, and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.&nbsp;

Preceding William Henry in death were his parents, his wife, his son, sister, Betty Lou Jones, nephew, Chief Petty Officer Robert James Jones Sr, great-nephew, Aaron Wayne Jones, and several aunts and uncles.

During his military service, he was a Medic, and he was honorably discharged in 1962.&nbsp;In 1966 William Henry married Fay Green, and they had one son, William Scott Jones.&nbsp;William Henry was employed at St Joseph Psychiatric Hospital. On February 2, 1970, he was hired as a Corrections Officer at Leavenworth Federal Prison, was promoted several times throughout his career, and retired September 30, 1990 as a Senior Officer Specialist. William Henry also received many Awards and Commendations during his employment at Leavenworth Federal Prison. After retirement he was employed part time at the Kansas City International Airport. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. &nbsp;He also enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. &nbsp;Those left to mourn his passing include: step- daughters, Vivian Green and Linda Green both of Kansas, City, MO, sisters, Nancy Jones and husband Donald of Fayette, MO and Ruth Ann Jones of Columbia, MO, nephews William Jones of Boonville, MO, Donald Jones of Moberly, MO, niece Tracy L. Roberta Claudene Lancaster, 86, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, December, 1st 2024.

She was born July, 11th 1938 in Arkansas. She grew up in Texas, where she graduated at the top of her class from the Pine Tree High School in Longview, Texas. Over the years she would reside in Vermont, and upstate New York before moving to the St. Joseph, Missouri area in 1973.

Roberta was a loving mother and raised 6 children: Richard Wallace, Susan (Wallace) Steidel, Robert, William, Bryan and Randy Eldridge.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, and playing the piano.

Over the years she worked at the St. Joseph State Hospital and was nurse at the Topeka and Leavenworth VA Hospitals.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband Len Lancaster, sister Connie Morgan, and brother John Taylor.

Roberta has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Her wishes were to be scattered around her blooming lilac bushes in the spring, joining her late husband Len. The family will host a celebration of life service in the spring. Per her wishes, she also requested "Put the lime in the coconut" to be played at her celebration of life.

The date for the celebration of life will be set at a later date.

Jason Goldesberry, 41, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024.

He was born May 13, 1983 to Alan D. Cannon and Karen M. Goldesberry in St. Joseph, Missouri.

He worked various construction jobs including concrete and roofing.

Jason loved his children and his dogs and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed working in construction.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen; uncles, Rick Goldesberry and David Goldesberry; aunt, Donna Jameson; cousin, C.J. Thompson.

Jason Goldesberry 1983 - 2024

Bethany, MO: Doris Irene (Meservey) Harryman passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home holding the hand of the love of her life on&nbsp;December 2, 2024.

     Doris was born&nbsp;September 7, 1939, at her parents home on the Penney (Meservey) Farm in Chula, Missouri to Marshall and Alpha (St John) Meservey. Her “twin cousin” Velma was delivered 30 minutes earlier by the same doctor, but in different houses.

     She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1957 and then graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1961.

     She met Robert Lee Harryman at Wesley Foundation at the University of Missouri - Columbia. They were united in marriage on&nbsp;June 16, 1962, at the Chula&nbsp;Presbyterian Church in Chula, MO. Mr. J.C. (James Cash) Penney was in attendance. Bob and Doris have been married for 62 years.

     Together they moved nine times in nine years for Bob’s work. They lived in Fulton for 9 months, Lamar for one year, Mt Vernon for 15 months, Greenfield for one year, Crane for one year, Carthage for five years, Bethany for 53 years.

     Doris worked at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Barton County Hospital, taught at Missouri Southern University School of Nursing, Crestview Nursing Home, and the Harrison County Health Department for 23 ½ years as a part of the WIC program. She loved certifying babies and discussing the benefits of breastfeeding to new mothers. Many times, mothers would call during supper time for help feeding their babies as our family was sitting down for supper, which we found to be humorous as she was dedicated to her job. Doris gave breastfeeding lectures at the state WIC conventions.

     Doris was a member of the Nursing Honor Society at the University of Missouri - Columbia, Chapter BV of P.E.O. Sisterhood, United Methodist Women, Prayer Shawl Group, Bell Choir all of the Bethany First United Methodist Church, and a 53 year member of the Bethany First United Methodist Church.

     Doris is survived by her husband Bob of 62 years. Daughter Tamara May “Tammy” (Tom) Pettijohn of Bethany, MO, Marsha Lee (Russ) Casebeer of Collinsville, OK, and Robert Warren “Rob” (Melanie) Harryman of Grimes, IA. Grandchildren Tommy (Caroline) Pettijohn of Kearney, MO, Tiara (Caleb) Brening of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Makenzi Casebeer of Kansas City, MO, Grant Casebeer of Collinsville, OK, Katie Harryman of Grimes, IA. Great-Grandchildren Claire and Nora Pettijohn of Kearney, MO. Doris is survived by her older brother Ralph (Sarah) Meservey of Chula, her “Irish” twin younger brother Jim (Ann) Meservey of Chula. She is survived by nieces and nephews Jocelyn, Jimmy, Gwendolyn, Steve, Bryan, Jerilyn, Joe, Crystalyn, Chris, Cathy and a multitude of great-nieces and nephews.

     Doris was preceded in death by her younger brothers Marvin and Irvin, her parents Marshall and Alpha Meservey.

     After retiring from the Harrison County Health Department after her youngest grandchild was born, Doris’ focus was her family, traveling, serving others, playing bridge, reading, conversing with family and friends, Facebooking. Doris and Bob visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Haiti, went on 2 cruises with family, Mission Trip to Cat Island Bahamas, Heifer Project Mission Trip, Mission Trip to Philadelphia, Mississippi. 

     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, at First United Methodist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.

Doris Irene (Meservey) Harryman 1939 - 2024

Barbara went to her Heavenly Home on November 29, 2024. She was born in Saint Joseph, MO on August 27, 1935, to Claude and Merle Lee Stevenson.

She has been a member of Lake Avenue Missionary Baptist Church since 1959. The Church was founded by her grandfather, Clarence Stevenson, as a mission church in 1942.

Barbara attended Benton high school. She worked at Custom Cable for nineteen years until they closed. She then helped her husband with his delivery business. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved the Lord and never hesitated to invite people to church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband of sixty-two years Alva (Sonny) Angst and precious sister-in-law Sharon Stevenson.

She is survived by two children, daughter Deborah (Steve) Wilson and son Rick Angst. Four grandchildren Dana (Nick) Smith, Derek (Jennifer) Wilson, Ricky (Brenda) Angst, Ericka (Dustin) Frieden. Six Great Grandchildren, Chloe (Rob) Haynes, Maxwell Smith, Dreamer Stone, Ethan Angst, Chase and Cade Frieden, Two Great-Great Grandchildren, Lily and Severyn Haynes along with brother Ronnie (Marge) Stevenson and sister Linda Avery.

There will be a memorial service at Lake Avenue Baptist Church on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00, with Pastor Steve Stevenson officiating.

Vicki A. Fenner, 75, Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024.

She was born in Atchison, Kansas to Ruth Ann(Compton) and Frederick Walter Davis on October 6, 1949.

Vicki completed her formal education at Lafayette High School before embarking on a fulfilling career as the Plat Room Manager at Hall Abstract now known as First American Title Company, where she contributed her talents for 30 years.

A long-standing member of First Lutheran Church, Vicki invested her heart and soul in her faith and church family. The outdoors brought her immeasurable joy, and she spent countless hours in the haven of her pond-side home, where the beauty of nature inspired her artistic passions. Vicki's love for painting ceramic figures was matched only by her fondness for hosting family events—a testament to her incredible ability to nurture and celebrate the people she loved.

Among Vicki's many joys were arts and crafts, the tranquility of being outside, and her special affection for daisies—flowers that reflect her simple, pure approach to life. Her home was always open, a testament to her deep-rooted dedication to her family.

Survivors include her devoted husband, James Edward Fenner; children, Stacy (Dennis) Smith, Kalli (Caleb) Jones, and Jessica (Tim) Shellenberger; grandchildren, Skylar Smith, Courtney (Kelvin) Medina, Katherine Rock, Theo Jones, Hunter Robertson, Trent Shellenberger, Alyssa Shellenberger; and her great-grandchild, Kasiyah Buckner; brothers, Ted (Gwen) Davis and Bill (Judy) Davis

Kevin L. Swink, 73, Gladstone, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024.

He was born September 1, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri to James and Thelma (Wilson) Swink. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.

He was an agent for 25 years for Shelter Insurance in Gladstone, and a 23-year member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri.

Kevin loved to fish, often taking his bass boat out on Truman Lake or Smithville Lake. He also was an avid fan of the Chiefs and Royals.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy VanReenan; grandson, Tristan Hicks; granddaughter, Jayda Burkhart (Keenan); and two great-granddaughters, Aurora and Lyla.
