Richard “Dick” K. Kuntz, 89, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.
Dick was born in Madison, Wisconsin on Feb. 9, 1936, to Louis & Pauline Kuntz. He graduated from Madison East High School.
Dick was preceded in death by the love of his life of almost 46 years, Nancy (Shriver) Kuntz. Brothers Paul, Raymond, Lawrence, and sister Magdelen (Phillips) Kuntz.
He was employed by American Family Insurance Company for 44 years.
Survived by his loving stepchildren, Susan Krofft, Chris Maris (Talisa), Barbara Stratton (Steve), grandchildren, Tyler Krofft, Cara McDowell, Caleb Maris (Angelique), Hannah Maris, and great grandchildren, June, Nolan, Jack, and Josie. Bonus family members are Chris Stratton (Chrissy), Kelli Coady (Pat), Seth (Tori), Sage, Skye, and Amelia.
In his younger days, Dick was an avid bowler, softball player, and golfer at the Moila Country Club.
He was a longtime member of the Moila Shrine where he was the 100th Past Potentate in 1995. He was a member of the Masonic Masons, Scottish Rite and York Rite bodies. Past Member of Moila Wrecking Crew, Moila Diplomats & Moila Goldwings. Member of the Masonic Hi-12 & Moila’s Big M Club.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will gather with friends from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday.
