Susan Gayle Jordan, 86, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away March 27, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born November 23, 1938 to Lester “Red” and Naomi “Dee” (Schwope) Herbert in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Susan married Donald Eugene Jordan on January 18, 1962. He passed away on March 22, 2004.
Susan dedicated 22 years of her life to Boehringer Ingelheim as a lab technician. Her varied interests included cross stitching, quilting, gardening, canning, and tole painting. Susan's creative talents and green thumb brought beauty to her home and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; son, David Jordan; siblings, David Herbert, Danny Herbert, Twila Seek, Bernie Gallagher, Geneva O’Callaghan, George and Dick Herbert.
Survivors include her children, Randy Jordan, Mindy Jordan (John Schafer), Tim Jordan (Gigi Livingston), and Amy Ryan (Tim); grandchildren, Abby Schafer, Emilee Hancock, Elizabeth Jordan, Hannah Ryan, Nicholas Ryan, and Samuel Ryan; great-grandchildren, Emmalyn, Greyson, Brayden, Olivia, and Samantha; brothers, Ed and Terry Herbert.
The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
