Marjorie Mae Catron, 97, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024.&nbsp;

She was born October 23, 1926 in Bethany, Missouri to Otis and Effie (Myers) Hazzard.

Marjorie’s world revolved around sewing and crafting. An artistic, creative soul, she used her visionary talent to create one-of-a-kind keepsake designs, including wedding and ball gowns for her vast Barbie doll collection that were based on those worn by celebrities. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting.&nbsp;

She loved the Chiefs, Royals and politics, and at age 97 could still converse about all three topics. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, including a national softball championship.

Marjorie’s cooking skills were on display at family get-togethers, where she and her sisters would compete for the crown of “best homemade egg noodles.”

She was an inspiration to her family, who will carry precious memories of her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary E. Woolard; two grandsons, Tyler Woolard and Brian Sharpe; and eight siblings.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Woolard (Patricia), Marilyn M. Sharpe, and Donald Catron (Kimberle); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Joanne Jennings.

Margaret Naomi Jimeson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 surrounded by family at her daughter's home in Hastings, Nebraska.

Naomi was born to Grace (Boots) and Lawson C. Briggs, Sr. near Colony, Kansas on January 5, 1930.

After graduating from Colony High School, she went to Cosmetology School in Topeka, Kansas.

After completion of school, she found employment in Hiawatha, Kansas. This is where she met her future husband, Dick Jimeson. They were married on December 23, 1951, and were together for almost 71 years. Naomi and Dick were blessed with two children, daughter Diana, and son Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Her brother Lawson Briggs, Jr. and an infant sister, Mildred LaVern. Her husband, Dick passed on July 17, 2022.

Naomi is survived by her children, Diana (Eric) Beisner of Hastings, NE. Dennis (Jan) Jimeson of Oklahoma City, OK. Her sister, Iris Parker, of Orting, Washington. Brother-in-law, Art (Linda) Jimeson of Hiawatha, Kansas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

It was Naomi's wish to be cremated. DeWitt Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Services Hastings is serving the family.

A private family graveside service will be held later at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hiawatha, Kansas with the help of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home.

Ilene was born March 14, 1926 in Humboldt, NE to John and Daisy (Anderson) Dennis. She graduated from Fall City High School in 1944. Ilene married Harold Dean Davis December 15, 1947 in St. Joseph, MO. Ilene lived in Savannah, MO from 1967-2020 when she was placed in a Skilled Nursing facility in St. Joseph. Carol was born August 15, 1953, to Jesse and Mildred (Busch) Smith Sr. in Atchison, KS. Carol was a graduate from the Job Corp. earning a trade certificate and GED. By her fourth child, Carol decided to be a stay-at-home mom, raising the children, and taking care of the household. Carol enjoyed teaching her children different crafts from how to catch a ball to baiting a hook to catch a fish. She also enjoyed taking walks around the neighborhood, picking up cans she found along the way, planting flowers, painting, putting together a puzzle, sitting down with her crossword, watching NASCAR races, and wrestling matches, and collecting anything wolf related. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Carol is survived by her four children, Lamar (Carla) Henderson, Atchison, KS, Theresa (Erick) Martinez, Atchison, KS, Diane (Chris) Higginbotham, Atchison, KS, and Bobbie (Jason) Evans, Portageville, MO, brothers, Jesse (Kim) Smith Jr, Earl Smith, Michael Smith, Tim Smith, sisters Linda Cross, Joan Schumaker, and Mary Frisbie, seventeen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1968 and attended Northeast Kansas Area Vo-technical School and earned a Certified Welders Certificate. Leroy worked as a certified welder for WE-MAC Mfg. Atchison, KS from 1971-2019. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Atchison, KS, the Missouri Mule Club, and enjoyed going on mule rides, coon hunting and fishing.&nbsp;

He was married to Peggy Lewman on December 19, 1969. She survives of the home in Troy, KS. Additional survivors include a son Michael (Sandy) Engeman, Spring Hill, KS, three grandchildren Caleb (Miranda) Engeman, Rachel and Lily Engeman. His parents, and brother Ferol Engeman preceded him in death.

Daniel R. Floyd, 81, of Fillmore, MO passed away Monday March 25, 2024 at a local hospital in St. Joseph, MO. &nbsp;He was born January 4, 1943 in Fillmore to Elmer &amp; Myrtle (House) Floyd. &nbsp;He married Joyce Grishow on April 17, 1971 in Rosendale, MO. &nbsp;Danny and Joyce enjoyed 52 years of marriage and she survives of the home.

Daniel was born and raised on the farm in Fillmore. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Thailand. After he was discharged from the Air Force he worked in construction, and he started farming in 1972. He loved to hunt, tell stories, go metal detecting, arrowhead hunting, camping, black powder shooting, panning for gold, and was a local historian. He was a talented blacksmith and loved to show and talk about all his artwork from blacksmithing. Danny had served on the Fillmore Town Council and had served as mayor of Fillmore Missouri.

Danny is survived by his wife; sons, Jeffrey Floyd of Fillmore and Bobby Dean Floyd of Portland, OR; granddaughter, Fiona Belle Floyd; sister, Sharon (David) Logan of Fillmore, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and to many friends to count.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM at Fillmore Cemetery on Friday March 29, 2024. Interment will be in Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, MO. &nbsp;In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mosaic Hospice or the Fillmore Cemetery.

Heather Lea Bolonyi Holt 39, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, was born August 16, 1984 in Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2024 at 14:28 pm (2:28 pm) officially declared brain dead after a horrendous car accident. She was kept on life support due to her being an organ donor, she was really proud when she made the decision to be a donor.  She left behind wife, Jenny L. Holt (Jen), daughter, Evangeline T. Bolonyi, son, Adam G. Bolonyi Jr., step daughter, Mariah L. Holt, mom and dad, Chris &amp; Crickett Cash, and her former husband, Adam G. Bolonyi Sr- and father her children.  A special thank you for people who gave help and moral support for the family, and were by her side and said their final goodbyes.  Heather was such a loving woman she had a big heart for all her friends and family, she was one special person who could never be forgotten. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Heather Bolonyi Holt Memorial Fund in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.&nbsp;

Heather Lea Bolonyi Holt 1984 - 2024

Naomi Ernestine (Arn) Lindstrom of Country Club Village and Formally of the French Bottoms, passed away peacefully on March 25th at her home surrounded by her family from a strong and courageous battle with cancer. Naomi was born on August 25th 1939 to Nora and Ernest Arn of Saint Joseph, MO.&nbsp;Naomi graduated from Lafayette High School in Saint Joseph, Missouri, Class of 1957, where is was a member of the Glee Club, FHA , Junior/Senior Committee, and the Business Women of America Association.

On May 13th 1972, she married the love of her life Charles (C.B.) Lindstrom, and had a loving married life that lasted 47 years. C.B. preceded her in death in 2019, but in those 47 years they raised two sons, Chet (Katrina “Kit”) Lindstrom of Saint Joseph, Missouri and Kirt (Cindy) Lindstrom of Raleigh, North Carolina. They traveled throughout the country, Naomi managing to make it to all 50 states in her lifetime. When asked which was her favorite places to go, she would always respond with, my trip to Catalina island with my parents, to Hawaii with my oldest son, and to North Carolina to visit my youngest son. Family meant the world to her.

Naomi worked for the Regal Theater, National Finance, and Car City Chrysler, which her business sense came in handy when having to keep up with all of her husband's adventures in dealing with John Deere tractor parts and hosting the John Deere tractor Club Meetings. She was also a member of Wyatt Park Christian Church.

Proceeding her in death were her parents, and brother’s in law, George DuCoing and Gary Wright.

Naomi is survived by a sister-in-law Donna Wright, and her sister, Alyce DuCoing of Saint Joseph, which she shared the love of Nascar racing. You would see both sisters planted in front of the TV rooting for their favorite drivers and teams on any given race day and/or putting together puzzles with her sister or with her dear friend Charlene Stagg.&nbsp;Grandma Naomi was a title she loved, and she is survived by her grandchildren; Jake (Bobbie Jo) Mazurkewycz, Cade (Ashlyn) Pointer, Caitlyn (Justin) Hall, Andrew Lindstrom and his fiancée RaeLynn Hanna, Nora, Brea, and Lyla Lindstrom. Nine great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

They traveled throughout the country, Naomi managing to make it to all 50 states in her lifetime. When asked which was her favorite places to go, she would always respond with, my trip to Catalina island with my parents, to Hawaii with my oldest son, and to North Carolina to visit my youngest son. Family meant the world to her.Naomi worked for the Regal Theater, National Finance, and Car City Chrysler, which her business sense came in handy when having to keep up with all of her husband's adventures in dealing with John Deere tractor parts and hosting the John Deere tractor Club Meetings. She was also a member of Wyatt Park Christian Church.Proceeding her in death were her parents, and brother’s in law, George DuCoing and Gary Wright.Naomi is survived by a sister-in-law Donna Wright, and her sister, Alyce DuCoing of Saint Joseph, which she shared the love of Nascar racing. You would see both sisters planted in front of the TV rooting for their favorite drivers and teams on any given race day and/or putting together puzzles with her sister or with her dear friend Charlene Stagg.&nbsp;Grandma Naomi was a title she loved, and she is survived by her grandchildren; Jake (Bobbie Jo) Mazurkewycz, Cade (Ashlyn) Pointer, Caitlyn (Justin) Hall, Andrew Lindstrom and his fiancée RaeLynn Hanna, Nora, Brea, and Lyla Lindstrom. William "Bill" Davis Bailey 66, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday March 19, 2024 in a St. Joseph, MO., hospital. He was born September 3, 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill served in the United States Marine Corp at an early age, then worked at Crete Trucking as a Truck Driver. Andrew "Andy" Davis, 76, Belton, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away, March 28, 2024. &nbsp;

He was born December 27, 1947, in Mound City, MO to Eldon and Wilma Jean &nbsp;(McDonald) Davis. &nbsp;He was raised in Mound &nbsp;City and graduated from Mound City High School in 1965. &nbsp;He then joined the U.S. Air Force; receiving an honorable discharge.

He then returned to Mound City and worked for Travel &amp; Transport in St. Joseph, where he met his former wife Sherry Binder. &nbsp;They married in 1973, and their son Sean was born in 1974. &nbsp;

He was a former member and Deacon of Brookdale Presbyterian Church. &nbsp;

He then worked for Memorial Park Cemetery and for Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel for 15 years, and retiring Triumph Foods in 2010.

Andy was a Cub Scout leader for Webeloes. &nbsp;He loved to bowl and dance. &nbsp;He was nicknamed "Crazy Legs Andy".

Survivors include his son Sean Davis (Tina) of Raymore, MO; grandchildren Chase and Kennedy Davis; two brothers Lloyd Davis, Glen Davis; a sister Patty Judy; sister-in-law Sheila Murray; &nbsp;numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Sherry, and a sister Peggy Horseman.

Andy was an avid Royals, Chiefs, and Missouri Tiger fan. &nbsp;He also thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo with his friends in the nursing home, and driving his motorized wheelchair. &nbsp;He was a hot rod with his wheelchair.&nbsp;

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Gary E. Moss I, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024.

He was born on November 6, 1948, to Elmer and Lula Moss in Elwood, Kansas.

After graduating high school, Gary joined the United States Army. He bravely served during the Vietnam War. His time in the service was a major part of his life, and something he was very proud of.

In 1976, Gary started a career as a towboat captain that spanned more than 45 years. He eventually retired and had a vessel named in his honor.

On April 27, 1992, he married Judith Ann Deford. They shared 29 years together before she passed away in 2021.

Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and riding his motorcycle. He was a lifelong and active member of the VFW, and also a member of the American Legion and Freedom Riders.

He loved his beloved dog, Dolly, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gary leaves behind a legacy of bravery and compassion, and he will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Moss; and siblings, Nona, Raedean, Janie, Charles, Jimmy, Danny, Ray, Elton, Carol, Susan, Emma, Donna, Dixie and Jerry.

Survivors include his brother, Dennis Moss; children, Janie Lucas (Odes), Gary Moss II (Maggie), Shaun Shepard (Michelle), and Niki Paillilo (Andrew); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Clifford L. “Cliff” McFadden Jr., 84, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his home.&nbsp;

He was born on February 5, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri to Clifford Lee Sr. and Flavis Maxine (Taylor) McFadden.

On January 28, 1960, Cliff married Donna J. Brace. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2023. Cliff was very proud of their 63 years of marriage together and has now been reunited with the love of his life in Heaven.

He and Donna spent their lives serving in ministry to their community. He was a longtime member of Word of Life Church. Cliff also was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church.

Cliff cherished the time he spent working alongside his sons and grandsons in their family business. Cliff loved being able to pass down his knowledge and expertise to the next generations. Outside of work, the family bonded over their shared love of sports.&nbsp;

Their faith also played a significant role in their lives where they attended church services together as a family. Cliff’s legacy is a testament to the power of compassion and empathy.

Those who were fortunate enough to know him will never forget the impact he left on their hearts.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother whose legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife, Donna.

Clifford L. “Cliff” McFadden Jr. 1940 - 2024

Minnie Ellen (Graham) Zachary was born in Oregon, Missouri on November 7, 1926 to Eva (Dinwiddie) and Ernest Floyd “Jack” Graham. Minnie grew up in Oregon and graduated from Oregon High School in 1944, where she was in volleyball and a drum major for the band. She was also a finalist in the Apple Blossom Queen contest.

After graduation she worked for the Division of Family Services in Mound City, Mo. One day near the end of June 1945 she was looking out her office window and saw a good-looking young man with a white cowboy hat. She then turned to her boss and asked who that young man was and if he was single. Her boss, Eva Zachary, told her he was her son Max, and yes, he was single. Three weeks later, on July 22, 1945 Minnie and Max were married.

Max and Minnie were married for 11 years and had given up hope of having children when they finally had a daughter, Stephanie Eva Zachary.

After a few years at home with their daughter Steph, Minnie became the secretary to the superintendent of Holt County R-II School. She would enjoy this job for 28 years until her retirement.&nbsp;

She loved her grandsons, Keith Zachary Miller and Kurt Phillip Miller, and would always make their birthday cakes. Later she enjoyed her six great grandchildren.

Minnie attended high school football and basketball games whenever she could. She enjoyed golf, bowling, and Eastern Star. Minnie loved life, dancing, family, friends, Big Lake, a glass of wine on the pontoon boat, and an occasional trip to the casino.&nbsp;

For her 80th birthday Minnie bought her first car, a Grabber Orange Mustang convertible. She was seen several times going down the interstate full blast with the top down.&nbsp;

Minnie passed away on March 23, 2024 at Tiffany Care in Mound City. She was preceded in death by her husband Max, who died June 24, 1996, one month shy of their 51st anniversary; grandson, Clint Wilmes; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Helen and Wayne Atkins; and Max’s sister, Ellen Chitwood.&nbsp;

Survivors include her daughter, Steph Miller-McCann and son-in-law, Rich McCann; grandsons, Keith (Jennifer) Miller and Kurt (Tammy) Miller; great grandchildren, Kailey, Ty, Levi, Leah, and Lily Miller; two step grandchidren, Chris (Nick) Eickhoff and Scott (Ryonne) McCann; six step great grandchildren; nine step great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and friends.

Gary E. Bowland, 69. of Savannah, MO passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City with the love of his family surrounding him. &nbsp;He was born in St. Joseph, MO on January 28, 1955, to Lowell &amp; Betty (Albertson) Bowland. &nbsp;He married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Johnson, on August 17, 1973, in St. Joseph, MO and she survives of the home. &nbsp;

Gary always looked forward to going hunting with his wife, brother, friends, grandkids, and his best friend Leonard who are now telling deer camp stories together again. Gary enjoyed being outside and tinkering in the garage, always making and fixing things. He was always willing to do anything for anyone and was our go to person for everything the family needed. Over the years, he spent a lot of time working on cars and loved restoring tractors. &nbsp;One of his favorite past times was to go camping with his family. He loved watching and supporting his grandkids in their activities and sports as they grew up. &nbsp;Since retiring, he enjoyed relaxing in his chair and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Gary will be remembered for his love, orneriness, and giving the best hugs.

Haiden was born on March 19, 2024 to Shelby and Danielle (Pflugradt) Waitkoss. Though his time on earth was short his memory will live on.

Prior to retirement she served as an office manager for a network of automotive dealerships. &nbsp;As a hobby, she also owned and operated her own seamstress shop.

Survivors include her husband Robert McClellan of the home, two sons, Joseph Patrick Mallen (Julie), Brad Thomas Mallen (Angel); grandchildren Kylynn, Kobyn, Emma, Alana, and Drake; sister Jeanette Brown (David); brothers Ken Buhman, Larry Buhman (Marcia), Gayle Buhman (Michele), Chris Buhman (Charlotte) nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margaret had been a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Hurlingen, MO. &nbsp;She loved playing cards with her friends, and especially enjoyed the University of Missouri sporting events (MIZ-ZOU).

Eugene Gerald Lawhon, a beloved father, devoted husband and a friend with open arms to all, was welcomed into the Lord’s warm embrace in the comfort of his home in Overland Park, Kansas, on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was 65.

Gene was born Dec. 2, 1958, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier grade school, the 1977 class of Bishop LeBlond Memorial High School in St. Joseph, and, in 1982, of Creighton University’s pharmacy program. He spent his 40-plus working years in the pharmacy system of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Heartland Regional Medical Center and Mosaic Life Care. He was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in St. Joseph.

Gene married Jean Marie (Thedinga) Lawhon on April 26, 1985. They enjoyed nearly four decades of happiness, even as Gene’s health deteriorated over a decade-long fight against metastatic prostate cancer. Their companionship was evident in all they chose to take on together — the blissful chaos of children, the simple delights of wine and home cooking, the emotional roller coaster of a Mizzou, Creighton, Chiefs or Royals sporting event, or the contentment of a sunset and a Bruce Springsteen song on the backyard deck.

His work career provided security for himself and his family, but Gene found his greatest fulfillment when connected with nature. He loved tending to his garden. He adored walks with the family golden retriever. A good sweat from mowing the yard and a crisp lager afterward meant an afternoon well-spent. Gene found awe in viewing the tallest mountain peaks and soaking in the vast expanse and sound of ocean waves.

Most important of all, Gene was dedicated to his family in the face of adversity. When his father passed away during Gene’s teenage years, Gene made an unwavering pledge to care for his mother for the rest of his days. Despite his own condition worsening, he found the energy to be a bright light for his three young grandchildren in their innocent presence. He maintained a quick wit and goofy sense of humor during appropriate and unexpected circumstances. His infinite support of and pride in his sons was reflected by their admiration of all he tenaciously endured.

Everyone who encountered Gene found a steady hand and an invitation that they could be at home. It is a testament to the community he cultivated that the sadness of his passing will not weaken the bond forged among those touched by his understated kindness.

Gene is survived by his wife; three sons: Daniel, of West Des Moines, Iowa, Mark (Jennifer), of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Patrick (Megan), of Overland Park; his brother, Joe (LuAnn); his mother, Mary Ann (Morlock) Lawhon; three grandchildren: Peyton and Leah Lawhon, and Cayden Lawhon; and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his father, Lee Lawhon; and his father- and mother-in-law, Bill and Virginia Thedinga. &nbsp;

Harry Fabian Calvert, 94, of St. Joseph, passed away March 22, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born April 19, 1929 in Andrew County, MO to James Perry and Elsie Fern (Wilson)Calvert.

He worked 35 years as a forklift driver for Affiliated Food from 1954 to 1989. He married LoisMae Hudson on August 21, 1948. They were married for 44 years before her death.

Also preceding him in death were his children, Larry, Judy, Richard, Terry; grandson Brian;siblings Forrest, Herbert, James, Esther, Vanita, Joseph, Evelyne, Mary, and Wanda.

Survivors include Daughters-in-law Janet and Loretta Calvert; son-in-law Thomas McMillian;grandchildren, Larry, Jr., Aaron, Jannel, Tommie, Mindy, Brandy, Ashley, Satoya, Richard Jr.; 14great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Martha “Joyce" Rangel, born August 29, 1943, peacefully passed away March 21, 2024, while in the presence of loved ones. She was born and raised in Gower, MO where she was crowned homecoming queen and graduated as Salutatorian of her class. Joyce started a career at the U.S. Postal Service, working her way from mail carrier to Postmaster, retiring as the Postmaster of the Dewar, OK post office. It was during this time that Joyce met Joe Rangel, while carpooling daily for work from Henryetta, OK to Tulsa, OK. They fell in love and were married on August 23, 1987.

Joyce raised two daughters, Ronajo “Jo” and Audrey, always working hard and providing a good, fun-loving home. Joyce also found time to travel the world with her best friend, Patty McGuire. Their friendship spanned almost 60 years and created many treasured memories. Joyce loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished making life-long memories with them.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Helen Everett of Smithville, MO, and her sister Sandra Miller (John) of Trimble, MO. She is survived by her husband Joe P. Rangel from Henryetta, OK, daughters Ronajo Townsend (Mark) of St. Joseph and Audrey Starkey of Tulsa, OK. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren (Mallory Fletchall, Emily Starkey, Mason Starkey (Lauren), and Ellie Starkey) and 2 great-grandchildren (Paxton Fletchall and Preston Fletchall).

She will always be remembered for her uncanny ability to find four-leaf clovers and her sharp wit. Joyce loved flower gardening, fishing, and watching NASCAR and the Kansas City Royals.

He was born in Colorado on May 25, 1967, to Bill and Sue Gentry. The family settled in the St. Joseph area when he was a toddler. He was a proud Mark Twain Elementary, Truman Middle School and Central High School student who kept in close contact with his classmates over the years. He graduated from Central in 1985 and went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City. There he excelled in speech and debate and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. &nbsp;

His love of debating led him to the University of Kansas, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1993. &nbsp;He practiced law in the Kansas City and St. Joseph area for many years. &nbsp;

In 1995, Mike married Susan (Barr), and although they recently divorced after 28 years of marriage, they remained close. They had three children together: William, Collin, and Allison. They were his greatest pride, and he loved to brag about them every chance he got. &nbsp;

Mike loved listening to and playing music, including writing many of his own songs. He spent countless hours with friends playing tunes or going to live shows. &nbsp;He also loved fishing and, in later years, photography. He took amazing pictures of nature and St. Joseph landmarks and shared them with friends on social media. &nbsp;He had a contagious smile and was always making people laugh. &nbsp;

Mike never met a person he couldn’t talk to for hours and was always ready to help a friend. He was loved by so many but struggled privately to understand how much he meant to everyone. &nbsp;

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sue Gentry. &nbsp;

Mike is survived by his children, William, Collin and Allison, siblings Shane (Cindy) Gentry and CeCe (Chris) Gannon, niece Kristy (Jacob) Martin, nephew Ryan Gentry, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as Susan Gentry and many loved ones from the Barr family. &nbsp;

William “Mike” Gentry 1967 - 2024

Tony Hastings, 46, St. Joseph Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024.

He was born on March 13, 1978, in St. Joseph Missouri to Marion Hastings and Dawn Miller.

Tony was a great friend and a wonderful story teller. His heart belonged to his family and his children.

He was non-judgmental no matter who he met and was able to talk to anyone and everyone dealing with the toughest situations. He was able to make the loneliest people feel like family. He used humor to survive the roughest of times and was able to make even the saddest of people find hope through their tears. Tony was amazing at making sure that no one around him felt alone. He was very loyal to his faith and everyone around him knew that he loved God no matter what storm crossed his path, he also taught so many others that God loved them and to see themselves through Gods eyes.

Tony will be forever missed by everyone that truly knew him.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Marion Hastings.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He was born on August 9, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas the son of Jerry Robert Mercer Sr. and Linda Darlene Kiolbassa.&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On May 19, 2000 he was married to Becky Walters in Albany, MO.&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He was a Paramedic for the Nodaway County Ambulance District where he was a mentor to EMT’s and cared deeply for patients. He was also a Volunteer Firefighter at the King City Fire Department. He founded the Missouri Whitetail Deer Hunters Facebook Page.&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Michael loved fishing, hunting, and dearly loved his family and friends.&nbsp;

Clarksdale, Missouri…Jonathan Lee Bunse, 48, of Clarksdale, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024.&nbsp;He was born April 18th, 1975 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Tom and Joyce (Lawson) Bunse. Jon married April (Overturf) Bunse in 1996, and became the father of Breanna and Emma Bunse. September 10, 2019, he was blessed with his third daughter, Adria Bunse. January 3, 2023, was married to Moureen Ann (Kajumba) Bunse.

Jon was a 1993 graduate of Maysville High School. He later went on to become a talented, self-employed craftsman for Custom Crafters Cabinets.

Jon was a dedicated, strong and resilient father who made sure his kids obtained those same attributes.&nbsp; While we lost our most beloved Jon, many have lost a friend. There was so much more to Jon than just a dad or husband, though to us, that was his greatest role. He was also a friend, a coworker, colleague, cousin, brother, stand-in paternal figure to the fatherless, and the list goes on.&nbsp; His love and strength will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, Moureen Ann (Kajumba) Bunse and his three daughters: Breanna, Emma, and Adria Bunse.

A visitation only will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville.

&nbsp;David Lyle Bloss, 82 of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away March 22, 2024.

&nbsp;David Lyle Bloss, 82 of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away March 22, 2024.Born March 3,1942 in Kidder, Missouri, David was the son of Robert and Dorothy (Puterbaugh) Bloss. David married his wife Linda Lanham in 1990. He started his working career as a computer operator for the Union Pacific Railroad and then spent many years working for Bestgen Construction before retiring.He loved all sports, enjoyed a good game of cards, and never missed a good horse race. He kept active; even after retirement you could often find him working on his son’s farm and he was instrumental in transforming the grounds from a tangled mess into a park-like setting. His routine most days included visits to the VFW where he met up with friends, shared a few beers, and lots of stories.Throughout his life, David maintained an open generous heart, a patient and gentle spirit, and a great sense of humor. Compassionate and thoughtful, he treasured his time with his wife and kids, a driving force in his life.David endured multiple surgeries and therapies in pursuit of his health after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2022. Despite the wearying regimens and setbacks, he continued meeting with his friends most Thursday afternoons until no longer able. He kept a quiet inner strength, a loving kindness and faithful optimism, rallying time and time again against the odds.
