LaDica Charlene Perks, 82, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at a local health care facility.
She was born June 3, 1943 in Sparks, KS, daughter of Gertrude and Charles Stowell. On September 12, 1959, she married John Perks in St. Joseph. Charlene retired from the Elwood Schools (Riverside) as a Cook. She enjoyed reading, playing video games, and bingo. LaDica was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Perks, children, Johnny Perks, Rodney Perks, Candi Parsley, sisters, Carolyn Reed, Marolyn Kessler, Betty Bishop, grandsons, Jason Musser and Kodi Parsley, and great-granddaughter, Charlene Musser.
Survivors include: children, Teresa (Johnny) Plymell of St Joseph, Leona (Matt) Nickel of Easton, KS, Randy (Melissa) Perks of Stewartsville, MO, and Teddy (Barb) Perks of St Joseph, daughter-in-law, Darlene Perks of Excelsior Springs, MO, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025 at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment to follow services at the Bethel Cemetery, DeKalb, MO. Memorials are requested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
