Dr. Elizabeth (Beth) Potts Fitz Gibbon, 78, of Easton, Kansas, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. A woman of intelligence, grace, and boundless curiosity, Beth was a lifelong learner whose adventurous spirit and deep compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Born with a love of knowledge that shaped every chapter of her life, Beth earned her Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Her academic achievements reflected her dedication to understanding the world and the people within it. Professionally, she enjoyed a distinguished career as a business executive, working with a variety of companies across the country — most notably in New York, Atlanta and Portland. Her leadership and vision inspired colleagues and helped shape the organizations she guided.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Beth found joy and meaning in community and faith. She was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where she shared her time, talents, and generosity for many years. Her steady presence and thoughtful contributions enriched the life of the parish, and her kindness touched countless hearts within the congregation.

Beth’s sense of adventure extended beyond her work and studies to her love of animals and the outdoors. She was devoted to her horse, Ari, and to her faithful canine companion, Cala.

She is survived by her children Eric, Morgan, and Ryan; her beloved grandchildren Elizabeth, Persephone, Jacob, and Chloe; and her sisters Kathy, Mary Lou, Joyce, and Donna. Her family will remember her as a source of wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Paul’s Organ Fund, honoring Beth’s lifelong appreciation for music, community, and faith.
