Steven Christopher “Stevie” Gilliland, age 56, of Excelsior Springs, MO, formerly of Atchison, KS, died January 2, 2023, at his home.

Stevie was born on December 14, 1966, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Jack Gilliland and Carole Tilton. He attended schools in Atchison, including trade school classes at Northeast Kansas Technical College.

He spent nineteen years as an over the road truck driver where he hauled anything and everything you can think of. He was always a handy man and spent many years in the construction industry for both himself and some local contractors. He was an avid biker and participated in countless rides for charity. In his teens, he was a master pool player continuing this skill for many years. He always enjoyed playing the guitar and drums, throwing darts and horseshoes and loved tinkering and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Renee Titus-Gilliland, who he married on August 31, 2007; three sons, Matthew B. Andrews, Mitchell Earlywine, Steven Gilliland; three daughters, Lara Andrews Kutz, Heather Fogle, Jessica Gilliland; two brothers, Jamie Gilliland, John Gilliland; three sisters, Sheryl Fritz, Julie Gilliland, Beth Gilliland-Charnick; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James David Horton.

Cremation care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.

Janice Kay Stephenson, 73, Atchison, Kansas, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Kay was born August 5, 1949, in Girard, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Aileen (Zimmerman) McCullough. She was raised in Arma, Kansas, where she attended school.

Kay worked in accounting throughout her career, serving as a bookkeeper for McCormick’s in Weston and in the student loan office at the Northeast Kansas Technical College in Atchison.

She loved sewing and quilt making. She was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed genealogy and working on family trees. Kay had a love of the outdoors as she and Gary traveled extensively and went on many camping adventures. She was extremely knowledgeable about many topics including birds. She was the “family planner” if there was a family get together or event, she probably planned it. She loved her family and the time she spent with them; her motto was “it takes a village.”

She and Gary Stephenson were united in marriage on October 1, 1969, at the family home in Arma; he survives of the home. Additional family members include a son, Mark (Kathy) Stephenson, Atchison, KS, a daughter, Melissa Stephenson, Atchison, KS, a brother, Jess (Patty) McCullough, Wichita, KS, a sister, Patricia (Joe) McWilliam, Paris, TX, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Michael Stephenson, three brothers, Donald McCullough, Robert McCullough, Anthony McCullough; two sisters, Dana Blessent and Irma McCullough.

he graduated from Benton High School, class of 1962. She worked at Sherwood Medical, and was a longtime Homemaker. Judy was a member of St. James Catholic Church. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Paula Armstrong, 74, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away on January 1, 2023.&nbsp; Paula was born January 17, 1948 in St. Joseph to Kenneth and Dolores McGauhey (Lopez) Douglas.

She was a 1967 graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School.&nbsp; She married Wally Armstrong at ST. Mary's Catholic Church on November 10, 1968.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on December 7, 2010.

She was also preceded in by her parents, brother Bill McGauhey; and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparent; a well loved dog, Foxy.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and devoted member of St. Anne's Altar Society.

Paula showed her love by making delicious meals for family and friends; she loved traveling to visit family; some of her favorite interests were spending time with her beloved friends, going to lunch, and finding things that helped make her loved ones lives easier; it gave her great joy to always take care of someone or something.&nbsp; She loved making treats for the church bake sale.&nbsp; She was a dedicated member of the St. Anne's Altar Society and found great meaning in making meals for fellow parishioner's funerals; most of all she had an incredible love of Christmas, making her home jolly for the season, and hosting Christmas festivities each year.

Louis &nbsp;Coyle, 84, of Lehigh,&nbsp;Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, near York, Nebraska.

Louis was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on February 8, 1938, to James and Lola Coyle. Louis was the third of four children.

Louis grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, and joined the United States Air Force in 1957 and served for four years, until 1961.

Louis met Ruth (Amdahl) Coyle in 1981; they expanded and joined their families. They enjoyed raising their children in Loveland, Colorado and later, raising their grandchildren, Caleb and Shian Halsted, in Lindsborg and Lehigh, Kansas.

Louis and Ruth's children are Cynthia Coyle of Canton, Kansas, Jay (Tammy) Halsted of Greeley, Colorado, Mark (Sarah) Coyle of Fort Collins, Colorado, Shawn Halsted of Hildreth, Nebraska, and Adam Halsted of Grand Junction, Colorado. Louis has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews throughout Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Florida, Georgia and beyond.

Louis loved fishing, camping, hunting and being outdoors in general. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and 4-wheeling in the mountains. He enjoyed reminiscing and describing his adventures to anyone that would listen, (“if you don’t believe me, ask me.”) He was a skilled horseman from his teenage years and continued to keep and work with horses until he was nearly forty. He liked to work with his hands and enjoyed making beautiful wood pieces with his scroll saw in his free time. He was a life-long student and believed you could (and should) learn something new every day. He loved studying history and was a Civil War History buff. He was a true Denver Broncos fan (just short of the tattoo), through good and bad, and tried not to hold it against you if you weren’t.

He often told stories about his military service, especially about kicking the screaming chickens out of the plane. He always had a wonderful sense of humor. You weren’t a stranger for very long after meeting Louis, you became friends. He was willing to help anyone out in any way he could. Louis was a wonderful man and even better father.

Louis was an excellent career aviation machinist and worked in the industry for over 40 years, which included Boeing, Beech Aircraft, Continental and Lockheed Martin. He was involved with many interesting projects, including Apollo, space shuttle and Titan missile. Within his careers, he also was a caregiver for multiple disabled adults, was the fire chief for his local volunteer fire department, a crosswalk guard at the neighborhood bus stop, and most recently a mold production worker at Central Plastics, for the past seven years. He continued to work up to his last day and wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Louis is preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Richard and sister Anne, half-siblings Billy, Milton and Mildred, wife Ruth, daughter-in-law Michelle Halsted and grandson Peyton Halsted.

Funeral services will be held at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson, Kansas, on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the McPherson Community Center. &nbsp;

Louis J. Coyle

Patrick Stephen Cassity, 78, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 1, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 6, 1944 in St. Joseph, MO to the late Jewell and Nina (Linville) Cassity.

 He was a proud member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1962. He also attended Kirksville State University. He was known for his athletic ability in football and basketball throughout high school and college.

Pat retired from Sara Lee, after a long, successful career in the meat processing industry. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed several fishing trips to Canada with his son, nephew, and good friends.

Proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Lonnie (Fayetta) Cassity, and daughter, Cara Cassity-Peterson. 

Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Susan (Quinlan) Cassity; son, Steve (Yolanda) Cassity; stepdaughter, Nicole Vidal; son-in-law, Leif Peterson; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Paul) Duch, Lucy (Sam) Koutsavlis; brother-in-law, Ed (Jamie) Quinlan; cousin, Shirley Boyle; nephew and nieces, Mike, Melody and Kelley; and grandchildren, Erica, Zoe, and Aidan. Pat was a man of faith who loved God and his family.

Celebration of Life will be held at Ashland United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. Public Livestream will be available at aumcfamily.org/livestream. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.

Patrick Stephen Cassity, 78, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 1, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 6, 1944 in St. Joseph, MO to the late Jewell and Nina (Linville) Cassity. He was a proud member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1962. He also attended Kirksville State University. He was known for his athletic ability in football and basketball throughout high school and college.Pat retired from Sara Lee, after a long, successful career in the meat processing industry. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed several fishing trips to Canada with his son, nephew, and good friends.Proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Lonnie (Fayetta) Cassity, and daughter, Cara Cassity-Peterson. Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Susan (Quinlan) Cassity; son, Steve (Yolanda) Cassity; stepdaughter, Nicole Vidal; son-in-law, Leif Peterson; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Paul) Duch, Lucy (Sam) Koutsavlis; brother-in-law, Ed (Jamie) Quinlan; cousin, Shirley Boyle; nephew and nieces, Mike, Melody and Kelley; and grandchildren, Erica, Zoe, and Aidan. Pat was a man of faith who loved God and his family.Celebration of Life will be held at Ashland United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. Gary Wilfred Pfeil, son of Herbert Lee and Mildred Muriel (Brindle) Pfeil, was born February 10, 1942 in Hamburg, Iowa.

He graduated from Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Mo. in 1960. After graduating he attended school in Kansas City, Mo. to be an auto mechanic.

On April 14, 1962 Gary was united in marriage to Barbara A. Walker at the First Lutheran Church in Rock Port. They made their home in Rock Port until 1981 when they moved to a home outside of Langdon, Mo.

Besides enjoying raising his three children and being a mechanic, Gary enjoyed his home on the bottom, along with fishing, hunting, and all of his black labs named "Lucky."

Gary passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the age of 80.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra J. Pfeil, Lincoln, Neb, and son, Gary O. Pfeil, Rock Port, Mo; and two grandchildren, Zachary Miller and Jaiden Thompson.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, along with his wife, Barbara A. Pfeil in 2018; his sister, Charlotte Pfeil in 2015; brother, Carroll Pfeil in 2019; and his daughter, Deborah K. Miller in 2022.

A private inurnment will be held at Hunter Cemetery in Rock Port.

Ruth Alice Myers, 87, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away December 30, 2022, at McCrite Plaza where she resided for the last 2.5 years. Ruth was born outside Gadsden, Alabama on February 19, 1935, to Benjamin Houston Wood and Clara (Battles) Wood. 

She was the third of four children. After graduating from Emma Samson High School, Gadsden, AL, she moved to Kansas City to attend Weaver Airline Personnel School at 2020 Grand. During that time, she worked at Sears Retail Store on Cleveland Avenue. 

After Airline School, she began working at TWA in the late 50s where she met her future husband, Harold Paul Myers. They married in Miami, Oklahoma July 9, 1965, and moved to a 70-acre farm in Smithville, Missouri. She stayed home to raise her two children, Benton and Cynthia Myers, then began working at the Smithville Post Office as a Rural Letter Carrier on Dec 13, 1980.She retired from the Post Office in December of 2001. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching and was a member of the Smithville Garden Club and Audubon Society. She also enjoyed traveling abroad with her husband and children. 

She is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Wood and sister, Mamie Grubb. She is survived by her brother Ronnie Wood and children, Benton Ashford and Cynthia Dale Myers. 

Visitation will be at Rollins Funeral Home Friday, January 6 at 6 pm.

In his career, Robert worked for Ford but retired after many years with Canteen Vending.&nbsp; He was known as: “The hardest working man in the world.” Robert truly was a self-made man, a perfect example of what a good man, a family man and a hard worker looked like. His loves included, coon hunting and fishing, but above all else, he adored his wife and family. Robert was a Christian.

He is survived by his wife, Linnie (Knox) Candler, of the home, grandchildren Nichole (Jody) Custer, Nicholas (Jada) Candler Chelsea (Alex) Carillo, great grandchildren, Breanna, Kaydence, Paxton, Madlynn, Brynlee, Laydon, Meah, Elliote, Bella, and many other friends and family.

Maysville, Missouri…Willem Kwappenberg, 76, of Maysville, Missouri, passed away on December 30, 2022 in Cameron, Missouri. A Celebration of Willem’s life will be held at a later date.

Willem was born in The Netherlands on June 10, 1946.&nbsp; After graduating High School, he served his native land in The Royal Netherlands Navy during Vietnam, and was a boiler operator and shipman. His civilian career was working for many years in the government of The Kingdom of the Netherlands in transportation and as a dispatcher.

Willem was liked by all, and was a good husband and friend. He especially liked the ocean, going to the shore, and viewing the ships.&nbsp; Willem loved his entire family, his beloved wife, and the grand kids and great grand kids.

He is survived by his wife, Althea (Hokenson) Kwappenberg and one sister, Willeke Kwappenberg, 2 sons Arijan and Gerald Kwappenberg, 3 grandsons-Daniel Hoogendijk, Michael Kwappenberg and Levi Kwappenberg , 3 nephews-Carlos (Nadia) De Weever, Michael (Sha) De Weever and Alexander De Weever, 4 great nieces and one great nephew-all of the Netherlands. Step children- Patrick Burns, Michele Leis, Sara Lambert and Mary (Rob) Patton. 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mary was born July 5, 1936, in Fanning, Kansas, the daughter of Howard and Katherine (Abbott) Mason.&nbsp; She attended elementary school in Highland, Kansas, graduating from Highland High School. She continued her education at Highland Community Junior College.

She and Gerard “Cheat” Ramirez were united in marriage in 1955, in Atchison and later divorced.&nbsp; She married Ronald Hatfield in the early 1990’s; he preceded her in death in 2009.

She was employed at Page Airways from 1955 until 1979 before joining Dr. Fields and Associates until her retirement. Following retirement, she worked part time for Simpson Grocery Store in Wathena, Kansas until 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Liz (Karl) Verbenec, Kansas City, MO.; a brother, William Mason, Los Angeles, CA.; and one granddaughter, Tara Ketchum, Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Mason, Larry Mason; and two sisters, Barbara Hartley and Carol Kieffer.

Patricia "Patty" Sue Gwinn 62, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday December 31, 2022 in a St. Joseph, MO hospital. She was born May 18, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of the late Beverly and Richard Dillon. 

She married David Gwinn on November 21, 1984 and he survives of the home. Patty graduated from East Buchanan High School, and worked at Mosaic Life Care Hospital as a Patient Financial services clerk. She loved animals especially her cats, she also enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dixie Lynn Smith, and brother, Roger Dillon. 

Survivors include: husband, David Gwinn of the home, daughter, Tara Gwinn, Oregon, MO., sons, Derick (Michelle) and Jayson Gwinn, St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren: Caroline McDowell, Ethan, Trenton, Annistyn, Dayton, Dalton, Devan, and Drennan Gwinn, sisters, Brenda White, Gloria Stout, and Debby (Jim) Sterzinger, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ruth Elaine Schellhorn, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at her home. She was born February 25, 1947 in St. Joseph, daughter of Velma and John Duke. 

Ruth graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1965 and IBM College, class of 1966. Ruth spent many years as a Homemaker and also enjoyed her job with American Van Lines, where she worked as a Packer. She loved to sew, crocheting, working puzzles and playing bingo. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a great Momma and will be deeply missed. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tammy Rich, brother, John Duke Jr., sister, Patricia Negozio and former husband, Edward Schellhorn. 

Survivors include, children, John (Shirley) Schellhorn of St. Joseph, Kim (Keith) Fowler of St. Joseph, Jerome (Julie) Schellhorn of Stewartsville, MO, Dennis (Kathy) Schellhorn of Stewartsville, MO, Samuel Schellhorn of St. Joseph, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Minnie Beemer went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 31, 2022.&nbsp; Minnie was born on October 28, 1931, to Ferdinand and Emma Rose Walter in Centertown, MO.

In 1950 Minnie married Donald Eugene Beemer in Sedalia, MO.&nbsp; They went on to have three children, Judy Beemer, Jeffery Beemer, and Jerry Beemer.

Minnie enjoyed canning garden produce, cooking, and planting flowers buy most of all she loved serving the Lord.&nbsp; She was a devout Christian, she read her Bible and prayed for others everyday.&nbsp; You could often times find Minnie cleaning and cooking while singing her favorite hymns or reading Bible stories to her grandchildren.

Her memory lives on with her three children Judy Beemer of Osborn, MO, Jeffery Beemer of St. Joseph, MO, and Jerry Beemer of St. Joseph, MO; four grandchildren, Nickolaus (Victoria) Beemer of St. Joseph, Christopher (Jordan) Beemer of Olathe, KS, Erica (Tyler) Thomas of Troy, KS, and Casandra (Corbett) Jimenez of Troy, KS; and 10 great-grandchildren, Colton Beemer, Lillie Beemer, Henley Beemer, Laikyn Beemer, Brayden (Aspen) Wiedmer, Mackenna Thomas, Liv Thomas, Tennasen Thomas, Timber Moenkhoff, Oakley Moenkhoff, and Koa Jimenez.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Donald Eugene Beemer, her brothers Emmit Walter, Roy Walter, Paul Walter, Raymond Walter, Lloyd Walter, Norman Walter, Lawrence "Pinky" Walter, Alfred Walter, and Oscar Walter; her sisters Lavene "Judy" Henley, Gladys "Tootie" Palmer, and Irene Walter; and her parents Ferdinand and Emma Rose Walter.

Richard "Rick" Blanchard, 67, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022.

Rick was born March 18, 1955 to Bill and Roseanne Blanchard in Los Angeles, California. The family moved to St. Joseph and Rick was a graduate of Central High School. He married Fern Miller on September 20, 1994. She survives of the home. Rick was employed by Wire Rope and retired from there after 20 plus years of service.

On the morning of December 31st, 2022 Bonnie B. Hall of St. Joseph MO. passed away&nbsp;at the age of 97. Bonnie was born to George and Viola Hoyt Raines on December 30th, 1925. She married Onsby (Bud) Hall on October 18, 1944. Together, they raised two children, daughter, Janice and son George.

Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School class of St. Joseph MO. She was a large supporter of SBU Redford School of Theology and had a plaque dedicated to her. She supported the mission of the God's Mountain Ministries by volunteering her time in the summer. She provided childcare for several families when she lived in Savannah, creating lifelong, cherished relationships. She and Bud remembered all of them at Christmas with handmade gifts or Christmas ornaments.

She enjoyed cross stitch embroidery, decorating cakes, card games and she was the Vice President of the Green Dragon Mahjong Club.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Bud, daughter Janice and son George. Brothers, Leroy, Frank, Oral, Glenn, Ralph, George Jr., and Charles. Sisters, Bertha, Lottie, and Dorothy.

She is survived by sister Ethel Boyles, honorary grandson Jeremy Howe, several nieces and nephews, and a host of devoted and loving friends. Funeral service; 10 AM, Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Interment; Savannah Cemetery. Bonnie Belle Hall 1925 - 2022

Helen Beahler passed away December 29, 2022.

She was born June 24, 1932 to the late Louis Herman Beahler and Sylvia Ruth (Moschberger) Beahler.

Helen was a farm gal and lived with her patents. She loved all kinds of animals. Her mother died in 1970. Her father died in 1981. After father died her Uncle Harold Moschberger lived with her until his death in 1982. After his passing Helen continued to raise cattle and had her cousin farm the crop ground. Helen had a baby brother who died at birth in 1930.

Helen ran her cow\calf operation until 2002. Then all she had was her cats and a dog. Her cousin Rosie came to live with them when Helen was 4 and Rosie was 7. She lived with them until she was 21. Rosie married Gene Chittim and left home then.

In 1947 Helen accept the Lord as her personnel savior, and was baptized into the Woodbine Baptist Church. In 1970 they built a new building and renamed it Fredrick Boulavard Baptist Church. She was still an activity member when they built the new building at Riverside and Fredrick. She was one of the oldest members still from Woodbine. In 2004 she moved to East Ridge Manor.

She took her vat Brokie with her. She died December 12, 2020 at 18 years old. In 2011 William Whilhite (Bill) moved into Eastridge Manor and he and Helen became good friends and had many adventures together. He passed away October 19, 2020.

Memorials may go to Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church.

Survived by cousins and many friends. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses who cared for her during her surgery and rehab. Special thanks to the staff at Living Community and Gower Convalescent Center, and Mosaic Hospice for their wonderful care.

Michael A. Comella, 81, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022.

He was born October 11, 1941 in St. Joseph to John and Mary (Cunningham) Comella. Michael graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1959.

Michael married Jacqueline Sue Jones on April 20, 1963. She survives of the home.

He retired from Wire Rope after 39 years and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved to watch “Jeopardy.”

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Phillip Comella, Judith Comella, Marguerite Conley and Joseph Comella.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jackie; children, Susan Welch (Paul) and Tony Comella (Mary Beth); five grandchildren, Elizabeth Comella, Emily Welch, Abigail Welch, Alex Welch, and Michael Comella; sisters, Mary Ellen Mears and Kathy Comella; brothers, John and Steve Comella; and his beloved dog, Sophie.

Michael A. Comella 1941 - 2022

Earl Eugene Bryant, 79, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Hamilton and Cameron, Missouri, died Friday, December 30, 2022 at a Kansas City health care facility.

He was born June 19, 1943 in Nettleton, Missouri to Huston Earl and Betty Maxine (Haggard) Bryant. He graduated from Penny High School Class of 1961 in Hamilton, Missouri.

He served in the United States Navy from 1962 until 1964.

On July 10, 1965, he married Judy Lou Lee in Nettleton, Missouri.

Mr. Bryant served as a fire fighter for the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant and then was a Teamster for over thirty years, retiring from Yellow Freight.

He was a member of the Methodist faith; Teamsters, American Truck Historical Society, OOIDA; American Legion #285; Hamilton, Missouri Lions Club and the National Street Rod Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Joe Bryant.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Judy L. Bryant of the home; two daughters, Becky Gall (Bill), St. Joseph, Missouri and Jill Meyer (Rick) St. Charles, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Sable Hanson (Scott), Alex Mallen (Erin), Chloe Chapman (Clyde), Collin Gall, Liam Gall (Molly), Danica Gall, Drake Meyer, Chanse Meyer (Adele) and Annika Meyer; and four great grandchildren, Seek and Story Hanson and Declan and Grayson Mallen.

Steven Todd Darby, 59, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2022. Steven Darby was born on July 28th, 1963, in Leavenworth, KS to Ronald and Darlene Darby. 

After Steven graduated from West Platte High School in 1981, he went on to study at Missouri Western State University. Steven was a hard worker and enjoyed all aspects of working. He and his father built over 200 houses together throughout his lifetime. Steven worked for the airlines for many years to include TWA and United Airlines. Steven was recently working for Evergy in the Fuel yard and enjoyed his time spent working with his coworkers. Steven was filled with happiness, joy, and love during his life. A few of his favorite hobbies he enjoyed was singing karaoke, listening and playing music, and visiting casinos. He was a die-hard Chief’s fan and never missed watching a game or rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. 

Steven was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Darby. 

Steven is survived by his wife Kristie Darby, Son Clayton (Amanda) Darby, Son Mark (Chadd) Zamora, Daughter Anna Darby, Son Stevie Darby, Parents Ron and Darleen Darby, Sister Angela (Mike) Barmann, and sister in law Pamela (Jack) Malecki along with many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Steven was a lover of all animals and a friend to all. 

A visitation will be held 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston, with Steve’s wife and family available throughout the afternoon. Corenne I. Crockett, 76 of Savannah, MO passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. She was born on March 30th, 1946 in Kansas City, KS to Royal &amp; Irene (Morgan) Mundis. She married Richard Dean Crockett on April 8, 1972 and he preceded her in death in 2013.&nbsp;

Corenne loved and cherished her family, and never knew a stranger.&nbsp; She enjoyed word search puzzles, and all animals but had a special place in her heart for dogs. She was a member for many years of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Felix) Kane of Harrisonville, MO &amp; Candance (Kirk) Ellison of Savannah, MO; grandchildren, Renee Lawrence, Kevin Gerstner, Christopher Kane, Patricia Ellison, six great-grandchildren, and her sister Linda (Steve) Crockett of Savannah, MO. She was a member for many years of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.Survivors include her children, Kathy (Felix) Kane of Harrisonville, MO &amp; Candance (Kirk) Ellison of Savannah, MO; grandchildren, Renee Lawrence, Kevin Gerstner, Christopher Kane, Patricia Ellison, six great-grandchildren, and her sister Linda (Steve) Crockett of Savannah, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother, parents, and husband.Visitation and family receiving hour will be 9:00am-10:00am Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah.&nbsp; Funeral services will be 10:00am Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Forrest "Rob" Robert Ramseier 53, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 in St. Joseph, MO. He was born May 14, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Trish &amp; Greg Ramseier. 

He graduated from Lafayette High School, and has worked at American Walnut for several years. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, taking care of the yard, and he liked to gamble. 

He is survived by former wife, Rona Miller, daughters, London Ramseier and Berlin Miller, his parents; Greg and Trish Ramseier, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his dog Bella. 

The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:00 pm with a Memorial Service following Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Rupp Funeral Home. He will be cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home.

He enjoyed the Green Bay Packers. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: brothers, Jim (Aneia), Greg (Gwinn Loveless) Doug, and Richie (Stephanie) Marriott, sisters, Brenda (Robert) Healey, and Jan (John) Schneider. of DeKalb, MO. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Thursday, with a Memorial Service following at 2:00 pm Thursday January 5, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
