Maurice "Moe" George Beaulieu, 91, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away on August 14, 2023. Born on April 19, 1932, in Willimantic, CT, Moe was a fun-loving person who enjoyed dancing, working with his hands, and spending time with his family and friends.
Moe is survived by a son; Ronald M Beaulieu of Phoenix AZ., daughters; Diane Peterson and her husband Daniel, and Tina Beaulieu, all of St. Joseph, MO. Moe also leaves behind several grandchildren; He was also blessed with many great-grandchildren All of whom he enjoyed and loved dearly. He also left behind a very dear longtime companion, Louise Dorpinghaus of Gladstone MO.
Moe was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Rita Dupont, as well as his parents and his four brothers.
Before his retirement, Moe worked as an assistant manager at Barker's department store in Willimantic. He also worked as a driver for Dial a Ride for many years before relocating to Missouri in 2005.He was an active member of Elks Club in Willimantic, CT, as well as in Gladstone, MO.
Mr. Beaulieu has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
A private service will be held for our dad, and he will be laid to rest next to his wife Rita in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Willimantic CT at the family's convenience.
Moe will be remembered for his lively spirit, love for his family, and his dedication to his work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A special thanks to Mosaic hospice staff for their wonderful care and compassion during our time of need.
