Iva Jean (Kessler) Rittmann, 93, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023.

She was born Feb. 15, 1930 in Easton, MO to Charles and Blanche (Livingston) Kessler.

She graduated in 1947 from Easton High School and continued her education at Gards Business University graduating 1949.

She married Richard C. Rittmann on Feb. 3, 1954.

Iva was a bookkeeper/secretary for Bushman Construction Co and retired from Welsh Plumbing in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Richard.

Survivors include her 4 children and spouses. Angela (John) Klein, Eric (Judith) Rittmann, Sally (Robert) Ballard, and William (Krista) Rittmann, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

CW4 (Ret.) Donald Earl Bohnsack, Leavenworth, quietly passed into the arms of the Lord Jesus on Wednesday evening, April 12, 2023.&nbsp;

He was born on February 20, 1940 in San Diego, CA to Earl and Lucille (Dick) Bohnsack. The family soon moved back to the Eudora, Kansas area where they farmed. Donald joined the Army upon graduation from high school in 1958, serving at many posts both in the U.S. and abroad. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam receiving injuries to his back and knees.

On August 26, 1961, Donald married Madelyn Ann Mace in Brookfield Missouri. They had four children, Michael (Candice) Bohnsack of Lansing, Donna (Douglas) Gentle of Waynesville, MO, Michelle (stillborn), and Jeffery (Heather) Bohnsack of Leavenworth. Madelyn faithfully traveled with him wherever he was stationed until he retired from the Army in 1980 having served for a total of 22 years. They made their home in Leavenworth and Donald worked at Fort Leavenworth in AG and Housing until retiring on January 3, 2003. During that time Donald cared for Madelyn after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis until she passed in January 1998. On October 27, 2001, Donald was united in marriage to Linda D. Zacher and gained three step-children: Susan (Charlie) Hogshooter of Eldon, MO; Samuel ‘Brad’ Zacher of Lawrence; and Amanda (David) Smith of Independence, MO.&nbsp;

Don and Madelyn—and later Linda--served as the leaders for the MS support group in the Leavenworth area.&nbsp; Donald also volunteered with several other groups—American Red Cross, Leavenworth Hospice, as well as the Retiree Committee, the Commissary Committee and various others on Fort Leavenworth and at the VA. Donald was a long-time member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, serving the church in many capacities. He also served on the Board of the Frontier Community Credit Union for many years.&nbsp;

Donald is survived by his wife Linda of the home, daughter Donna, son Jeffrey, step-daughters Susan and Amanda and step-son Brad, six grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren and his cat Buttons—who misses him dearly.&nbsp;

A funeral service will be held in his honor at 11:00 am on Friday, April 28, 2023 at First Christian Church, 6th&nbsp;and Seneca in Leavenworth.&nbsp; Condolence calls for the family will be held from 9:00-10:45 am prior to the service and burial will take place immediately following at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Rodney Leroy Stockstill, Sr., 61, of Elwood, KS, passed away April 17, 2023 in Edwardsville, KS, after a lengthy illness. Rodney was born May 10, 1961, in St. Joseph to Allen and Mary (Dawson) Stockstill.

He was a over the road truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed playing pool and going to concerts.

She was born on September 21, 1928, in Eagleville, Missouri the daughter of Leonard and Mabel (Ballew) Hale.

On June 21, 1953, she married Robert Donley Jones. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2018.

Marilyn was a schoolteacher and a member of the Missouri State Teacher’s Association, Eagleville Christian Church, past member of the Order of Eastern Star, and belonged to an Eagleville Sorority.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Roger Kent Jones.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Jana (Bob) Price, Bethany, MO; grandchildren, Kristen Oesch (fiancé, Allan Cook) and Brennen (Leslie) Price; great grandchildren, Riley, Macey, Mason, Chase, and Ava and a brother, Robert Eugene Hale.

Patrick L. Domann, age 73, of Nortonville, Kansas, died Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Church in Nortonville with Fr. Lazar Carasala as celebrant. Interment will be at later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A parish rosary will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church with visitation immediately following before mass. Patrick was born on January 4, 1950, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Leo and Dorothy (Weishaar) Domann. He attended school in Nortonville and graduated from Nortonville High School.

He began working for Dick Arensberg at the grocery store in the produce department and he continued in this line of work until his retirement in just the last few years.&nbsp;

Patrick was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Nortonville. He truly enjoyed gardening and every year he and his brother would grow and maintain a large garden together.&nbsp;

Survivors include his brother, Larry Domann, Nortonville, KS; two nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Anthony Eugene Hart, a man who embraced life and lived it to the fullest passed to join his heavenly family April 14, 2023. Born on October 2, 1932, in St. Joseph, Missouri, he was a man of many talents, interests, and above all, a loving and selfless individual. Some knew him as Gene and others as Tony either way he spent his career as the friendly pharmacist.

He was the son of the late Mack E. and Gertrude F. (Chylinski) Hart, who, we can only assume, were incredibly proud of the man he became. He was also the loving husband of the late Patricia M. Hart who is definitely waiting and ready to tell him how long it took for his arrival at the pearly gates. Gene was the last of his six siblings. They are all missed but we're sure they're all gathered now for a grand reunion.

As a father, his life was filled with love and laughter, thanks to his children, Stacie Short and Matthew Hart (Robyn), who inherited their father's sense of humor and selflessness. He was also a proud grandfather to Lucas (Alaina), Josh, Mason, and Colton (Leah) Hart, who will undoubtedly carry on his legacy of integrity, laughter and love. Gene was all in with daughter-at-heart, Linda (Elias) Bolas and her children who will carry on his life lessons and spirit.

Gene was a state champion and record holder in the Pole Vault at Christian Brothers College High School where he graduated in 1948. At 17 his parents reluctantly signed approval for Gene to serve his country in the United States Navy. After discharge, he married the love of his life, Patty Wallace and moved to Kansas City where he embarked on his schooling and career as a pharmacist.

Gene’s interests were as diverse as his sense of humor. He was a Track &amp; Field Master Official, BSA assistant scoutmaster and an Auto Racing Crew Chief supporting his son and grandson in their racing endeavors.

In true Gene fashion he made it clear that he did not want anyone to send flowers to his funeral. Instead, he requests that you remember to send flowers to your loved ones in this life.

Betty was born on August 17, 1939, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Floyd McGrew and Emma (Kastens) McGrew. She attended Washington Grade School and graduated from Atchison High School in 1957. Following school, she began her employment career with John Buehler Law Office. She also worked for the Atchison County Welfare Office, Rockwell International and was the legal secretary on all of the Atchison County Sales Tax for over thirty years. In 1981, she began as a legal assistant for Leonard Buddenbohm Law and continued until her health began to fail over the last couple of years; she truly enjoyed her time spent working with Leonard over the nearly forty years she was there.

Betty married Henry Richard Smith on September 27, 1959, in Atchison, Kansas, at the First Christian Church. Betty enjoyed helping him feed cattle and doing chores on the farm. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2010.

Betty loved spending time with and seeing her great nieces and great nephews; she would talk about them all the time. She looked forward to her weekly Sunday adventures with her good friend Maggie Kane; they would go to lunch, ride through the countryside and sometimes even make a stop at a casino.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband; a sister, Donna Lea Green and a great nephew, Colby Smith. Survivors include her sister, Rosemary Wilson; nieces and nephews: Duane Wilson, Tina Byard, Greg Smith, Tammy Bean, Vince Martinez and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Betty Ann Smith 1939 - 2023

Robert J. Ziolkowski, 80, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He was born July 5, 1942 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Edna and Andrew Ziolkowski. 

He attended Benton High School. Bob married Janice Blanchard on November 9, 1961 in St. Joseph. Bob worked many years as a Butcher for Dugdale's and other local custom meat shops. He will most be remembered as longtime owner of Bob's Bait. Bob's hobbies included hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert J. Ziolkowski, 80, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He was born July 5, 1942 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Edna and Andrew Ziolkowski. He attended Benton High School. Bob married Janice Blanchard on November 9, 1961 in St. Joseph. Bob worked many years as a Butcher for Dugdale's and other local custom meat shops. He will most be remembered as longtime owner of Bob's Bait. Bob's hobbies included hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Bob Gillenwater, 66, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023.

He was born on January 30, 1957, to Harold and Sylvia (Herring) Gillenwater in Fairfax, Missouri.

Mildred (Millie) Eileen Nuzum,&nbsp;93, White Cloud, KS peacefully passed away Saturday April 15, 2023, at home with family at her side.

She was born May 10, 1929, to Boyd and Sylvia (née Adams) Lock in Rulo, Nebraska.

Her father owned and operated a sawmill in Rulo, and she would reminisce about “Shagging pilings” on the Missouri River as a child, which involved locating large wooden poles cabled together used to prevent the river from changing its course. When they washed away and were floating down the river, they would try to pull them ashore with a boat and use their draft horses to drag them to the sawmill.

Also visiting her grandmother Molly Harris who lived on a Missouri river island south of Rulo. She loved the sound of freight trains as it reminded her of her childhood in Rulo and all the troop-trains going by during WW II.

Millie enjoyed farming, ranching, gardening, canning, quilting, and traveling to local and state fairs to watch her grandchildren participate in 4-H events. She loved being a waitress at Casino White Cloud for 22 years, which allowed her to make so many new friends. Yet her preferred pastime would be to hunt for the elusive morel mushroom.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Howard, and Virgil (Dutch), and sisters Opal, Mary, and infant sister Jennie May.&nbsp;Husbands Charles Butrick, Kenneth Nuzum, and Elmer Barker. Sons David James, Boyd Charles (BC), Dennis Delynn (Bud), Butrick-Nuzum; George Curtis, Randy Kevin Nuzum. Grandson Kristian Curtis Nuzum, and granddaughters Wendy Nuzum, Andrea Noel Nuzum.

She is survived by her sons Kenny Nuzum Jr., Hiawatha, KS, Tim (Connie) Nuzum White Cloud, KS grandsons Kyle Nuzum, SD; Evan and Ian Nuzum, White Cloud, KS; Ehren (Miranda) Nuzum, Falls City, NE; Ethan Nuzum, Highland, KS; Jason Tilton, Brandon &amp; Tanya Waggoner. Many nieces and nephews.

Rhonda L. Stithem, 59, of Jetmore, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

She was born February 20, 1964 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Ronald and Stella Daigrepont Yaussi. She graduated from Horton High School in 1982.

Rhonda was a member of the Jetmore Presbyterian Church and a board member of the Hodgeman County Farm Bureau. She was very involved with the county 4-H Foundation, and many other volunteer groups of which she wasn’t a member.

She worked with Kansas State Research and Extension Service for twenty-seven years. After that she had worked in the Hodgeman County Register of Deeds office for the past year.

She married Jerry D. Stithem on March 10, 1984 at Hoyt. He survives, of the home.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Clay Yaussi.

Other survivors include her mother, Stella Yaussi, Ft. Worth area, two sons, Jason Andrew Stithem (Renay), Overbrook and Justin Stithem (Kimberly), Fredonia; a sister, Charity Martin (Steve), Ft. Worth area; a brother, Mark Yaussi (Anita), Austin, TX; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20th&nbsp;at the First Baptist Church in Hoyt. Burial will follow in the Hoyt Cemetery. Rhonda will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt where family and friends will meet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.&nbsp; A Memorial Service in Jetmore will be scheduled for a later date.

Marian Frances Risker, 90, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Wexford Place care facility in Kansas City, MO. She was born November 1, 1932 in Tracy, MO to William Edgar and Martha Frances (Dennie) Trumble. 

Marian was a 1950 graduate of the Platte County R-III High School in Platte City. She married Arthur Rudolph Risker on July 21, 1950, in Weston, MO. Marian worked for the Platte County Courthouse, and the Chicago Title Company in Platte City; later working at Fort Leavenworth, and as a bank manager for Liberty Savings. She loved refinishing antique furniture, and operated the Wagon Seat Antiques shop in Platte City. Marian was a licensed real estate broker, and along with her husband, operated Risker Real Estate in Tracy. She was a member of the Tracy Baptist Church. Marian was a talented singer, drummer, and pianist who, along with her sister, recorded and copyrighted several songs in the 50’s. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son Loren Ray Risker; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters. 

Marian is survived by her daughter Marian Gayle (Lawrence) Hayes; her son Stephen (Jane) Risker; and 9 grandchildren.

Yancy Shepard, 52, of Edgerton, MO passed away, April 12, 2023.

He was born on October 22, 1970 in Kansas City, Kansas. Yancy grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1989. He always had a passion for racing, animals and his family.

On June 8, 1996 he was united in marriage to Kandis Cox. After their marriage they lived in Gladstone where he owned and operated Yancy’s Automotive. Yancy moved his shop to Smithville in 2002 and in 2004 they moved to Edgerton.

He is survived by his wife, Kandis; children, Dylan Shepard, Keeley (Tyler) Collins, and Wyatt Shepard (Savannah); grandchildren, Ashtyn and Saylor; father, Rickie Shepard; mother, Judy Shepard; sister, Rachael Shepard; brothers, Rickie Shepard, Jr and Johnie Shepard; aunt, Sue Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mikel and Judith Cox; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Derek and Jen Cox, Jason and Angie Cox, and Charles and Alicia Lee; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Donald Swanstone, Jr., 68, of Dearborn, MO passed away April 15, 2023, after a yearlong battle with cancer at home surrounded by his family. &nbsp;

He was born on June 17, 1954, to Donald Swanstone, Sr. and Charlotte Maxine (Roberts) Swanstone in Dearborn, MO and in 1973 he graduated from North Platte High School. &nbsp;

On July 18, 2020, he was united in marriage to Betty Summitt. They made their home in Dearborn. &nbsp;

Donald retired from Ford in 2009 after 34 years of service. He coached the basketball teams of his sons and granddaughter Ava. Donald started and organized the North Platte Alumni Basketball Association for over 20 years. He also served on the Dearborn City Council as an alderman for 24 years. Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his sons. He loved tractor pulling and spent every summer going to tractor pulls all over Northwest Missouri. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. &nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents. &nbsp;

Donald Swanstone, Jr. 1954 - 2023

St. Joseph, Missouri - Wallace “Wally” Nelson Prawl, 86, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Field Point Assisted Living Center in St. Joseph, Missouri.

How can one put into a few words the incredible life of Wally Prawl? Impossible actually. Generosity is the first word that comes to mind. From giving away time and money, to serving food, to helping with home projects (even the projects you didn't know you had), he was always willing to help.&nbsp; Wally could write the playbook on how a husband should love his wife. His devotion was beyond reason. He was the greatest father and grandfather. Integrity and compassion were lessons taught to many by his example. His body gave out, but his spirit lives on. We will all be together again in our true home with Christ.

Wally was born June 27th, 1936, on the farm north of Wathena, Kansas where he learned a tremendous work ethic.&nbsp; An educator, Wally earned his Bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State and his Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Kansas.&nbsp; He mentored, served, and touched the lives of countless teachers, administrators, and students during his lengthy tenure at Lafayette High School where he ultimately retired as the principal. He was a member of the U.S. Navy, Wathena Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Moila Shrine and the American Legion of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Wallace married Nancy Absher on November 14, 1959, in Wathena, Kansas.

Wallace Prawl was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, son Thomas and brother, Stacy. He is survived by 2 children Dr. Timothy Prawl (Angela) of St. Joseph, MO and Tamara Prawl Heidel (Craig) of Las Vegas, NV; 5 grandchildren, Dr. Kaitlyn Heidel Walters (Joshua), Reid Heidel (Morgan), Lance Prawl (Cindy), Drew Prawl, and Makenzie Prawl Dahlgren (Matthew); 6 great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Madelyn, and Parker Walters, Raelyn Prawl, Eli and Hailey Dahlgren. St. Joseph, Missouri - Wallace “Wally” Nelson Prawl, 86, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Field Point Assisted Living Center in St. Joseph, Missouri.How can one put into a few words the incredible life of Wally Prawl? Impossible actually. Generosity is the first word that comes to mind. From giving away time and money, to serving food, to helping with home projects (even the projects you didn't know you had), he was always willing to help.&nbsp; Wally could write the playbook on how a husband should love his wife. His devotion was beyond reason. He was the greatest father and grandfather. Integrity and compassion were lessons taught to many by his example. His body gave out, but his spirit lives on. We will all be together again in our true home with Christ.Wally was born June 27th, 1936, on the farm north of Wathena, Kansas where he learned a tremendous work ethic.&nbsp; An educator, Wally earned his Bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State and his Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Kansas.&nbsp; He mentored, served, and touched the lives of countless teachers, administrators, and students during his lengthy tenure at Lafayette High School where he ultimately retired as the principal. He was a member of the U.S. Navy, Wathena Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Moila Shrine and the American Legion of St. Joseph, Missouri.Wallace married Nancy Absher on November 14, 1959, in Wathena, Kansas.Wallace Prawl was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, son Thomas and brother, Stacy. Wathena, Kansas&nbsp; Greg Boos, 67, of Wathena, Kansas left for his heavenly home on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for two years.&nbsp;

Greg was born on September 25, 1955 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Eugene and Wavah Jean (Blevins) Boos.&nbsp; Greg married Debbie Simpson on January 6, 1979 at Green Valley Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. Greg was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Dale Miller.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Immediately following graduation Greg joined the United States Marine Corps.&nbsp; He served from 1973 to 1977.&nbsp; Greg along with his wife Debbie operated Boos Auction &amp; Realty throughout the area for 30 plus years.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Greg also auctioned at the St. Joseph Stockyards for over 30 years until its final drive in 2021.&nbsp; During the past 6 years of his life he, along with son Matt, owned and operated Boos Trucking hauling cattle across different states.

Greg was a lifelong fisherman and enjoyed going with his children and grandchildren out to fish.&nbsp; Anyone that knew him knew he fried the best carp and catfish you would ever eat. He loved to dance with his wife and enjoyed nights out to eat crab legs. He enjoyed planting a garden each year, mushroom hunting, working outside, piddling on his tractor, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.&nbsp; He loved to play cards and was quite good at pretending like he didn’t know how to play new games-winning every single time.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Greg leaves behind his wife Debbie Boos and their three children: Jennifer Boos, Matt Boos, and Bobbi Jo Boos all of Wathena, Nephew Chris Waggoner (Christi) of Highland, KS,&nbsp;three grandchildren: Gunner, Hadley, Beckett and two great-grandchildren: Cutter and Cartyr.

John Byron Carter, 75 of Savannah,&nbsp;passed away Sunday,&nbsp;April 9th, 2023,&nbsp;at his home in Savannah. He was born May 19th, 1947,&nbsp;to Lloyd&nbsp;Velmont&nbsp;Carter and Edith Ruth&nbsp;(Schaeffer)Carter.&nbsp;John&nbsp;married Diann&nbsp;Lynn&nbsp;(Rainez)&nbsp;Carter&nbsp;in St. Joseph, MO on&nbsp;August 23, 1969. John and Diann&nbsp;were married for 41 years at the time of her death in 2010.

John&nbsp;grew up in&nbsp;Rosendale, MO&nbsp;on his family’s farm and was the&nbsp;second to the&nbsp;youngest of 9 children. He had 1 sister and 8 brothers. John was drafted to the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was in the 1st&nbsp;Armored Division “Old Ironsides.” He was a tank commander and then became a tank instructor. After completing his obligation to the Army, he married Diann, and they moved to Southern California, following several of his brothers who had already moved to California. John spent most of his working career in the sandblasting business. There were periods when&nbsp;John was in business with his brothers, but also times as an independent contractor. In the mid-1980s, John interrupted his sandblasting work and gave a go at owning and running a bar. He moved back to Missouri with his wife and son and took over the Desiree Lounge in St. Joseph, Missouri. After a few years and a few too many struggles, California and sandblasting called him back. The family moved back to California where John lived for another 25 years. After Diann’s death and John’s retirement, John moved one last time back to Savannah, Missouri.

In his younger years, you might have heard John described as someone who could be serious and stubborn, but at his core,&nbsp;he was a sweetheart. John loved his family and friends, and he would help others whenever he could. Family meant everything to him. The quickest way to his softer side was his grandchildren,&nbsp;Ashley&nbsp;and John. John enjoyed social gatherings with family and friends,&nbsp;and also&nbsp;the comradery and companionship at the VFW Post in Amazonia, Missouri.

Survivors include his son John&nbsp;(Heidi) B. Carter II of&nbsp;Marysville WA;&nbsp;Two grandchildren, Ashley&nbsp;Carter&nbsp;and John R Carter; his girlfriend Wanda Justus, and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. In addition to his beloved wife Diann, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Brianna Lynn Carter, parents Lloyd and Edith Carter, sister Alice&nbsp;Heavilin, and his eight brothers Jack Carter, William Carter, Silas Carter, George Carter, Frank Carter, Patrick Carter, Mack Carter, and Fay Reno Carter.

She married Scott Stefankiewicz on June 7, 2017. She graduated from Central High School, and was the Owner Operator of Haps Place for over 50 years. 

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Trant and Lawrence VanSickle, husband, Pete Wertin, her daughter, Jackie Parker, and.  son, Tracy Allen Wilcox. 

Survivors include: husband, Scott Stefankiewicz, a son, Mike E. (Angie) Wilcox, of Washington state, and a daughter, Terri Jenkins, Dallas, TX. 

She will be cremated under the care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

Bryson Joseph Kneib, 26, of St. Joseph, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Kansas University Hospital.

Bryson was born on January 2, 1997, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Michael J. and Belinda S. Kneib. He graduated from Bishop LeBlond High School and Washburn Tech University.

Bryson was employed at Buildex Corporation as a heavy equipment operator with The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 101.

Bryson dearly loved outdoor sports including hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding and target shooting. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and St. Francis Boy Scout Troop 31, having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Additionally he was a member of Camp Gieger Scout Staff and obtained the rank of Fire Builder in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.&nbsp;

One of his passions was fishing the Spring River in Oklahoma during the White Bass Run. He was also known by friends and family for his skill in smoking various meats including venison summer sausage and jerky.

Bryson's last act of selflessness was donating his organs through Midwest Transplant Network/ KU Medical Center.

Bryson was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Jean Hannah, and niece, Khloe Bassett.

Surviving family members include his parents; sister, Bethanie Bassett (Daniel); brother, Callan Kneib (Katie); nephew, Dylan Bassett; niece, Maddelyn Kneib; grandparents, Elden Kneib, Macrina Schecher, and Frederick Hannah (Ann), and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ft. Calhoun, NE: Mary Lynne Redman, 87, Ft. Calhoun, NE passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at a Fremont, NE nursing home.

She was born on January 28, 1936, in rural Gentry County, Missouri the daughter of Noah and Mable (Shoemaker) Hise.

On December 5, 1964, she married Roy Redman, Jr (Gray Beard). He preceded her in death in 1993.

Mary Lynne worked at Stetson Hat until she retired. She then went to work part time at Donna's Drapery Shop. She was an avid quilter. She loved making quilts and crocheting for all her children, especially her grandchildren! She even entered and won a few contests with her quilts. She would also donate her quilts to Living History Days to raffle off. She loved making candy at Christmas time. She also liked to be in her garden, canning, tending her flowers, bird watching, and feeding the squirrels. She was a BIG Chiefs and Royals fan. She was a Husker fan later, but she really loved the Chiefs! Mary Lynne volunteered at and was a lifetime member at the Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church in King City. Mary Lynne also volunteered at the Thrift Store in King City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Iris Dene and Dora Lee and stillborn twin brothers.

Mary Lynne is survived by her daughters; Nancy (Tony) Stasiak, Kansas City, MO, Nova (Larry) Cottle, Ft. Calhoun, NE, niece; Valarie (Wayne) Rees, Auburn, KS, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren with two on the way.
