Myrtle M. Wright-Dynes 100, of St. Joseph, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at a local hospital.
Myrtle worked many years in nursing. She was an administrator, owner, operator of nursing homes in Kansas and St. Joseph, MO which were Wright Rest Manor and Citadel Healthcare. She loved playing music with Bobby George and Joe Husky in South Missouri. She loved spending time with family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, first husband James Wright, son Jim Wright, and daughters Sheila Dempsey, Bonnie Tumlinson-Oliva, and Stella Wright.
Survived by, husband Robert Dynes, daughter Deanna (Jack) Hunt, sons, Alvin Wright and Jerry (Carolyn) Smith, step children Bob Dynes and Brenda Dynes-Shanks, 10 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Funeral service 2:00 PM Friday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
