On April 13, 2023, heaven welcomed a new caretaker. William "Bill" R.
 Collins Sr. left this earth with a legacy of public service, colorful 
(and sometimes true) stories, and a spirit of incredible generosity.

Bill was born June 24, 1945, to Wayne Collins and Margaret (Grace) 
King Collins in Sparks, Kansas. Growing up with 16 siblings, Bill 
learned the value of relationship, hard work, perseverance, and 
commitment.&nbsp; He attended schools in Sparks, and later a drafting trade 
program. Losing a limb at age 14 would make many bitter, but Bill made 
the most of this challenge and any he encountered in life. He pursued 
and attained many of his goals in life, with little more than shear 
determination and hard work.

Bill married his wife of 47 years, Mary Thompson Collins on February 
11, 1967, in St. Joseph, MO. Together, they welcomed three daughters and
 a son, raising their family in Hiawatha. Their home welcomed all, and 
was filled with friends, family, dancing, cards, laughter, and many 
memories.

Although not a particularly tall man, Bill enjoyed going “big” in all
 aspects of his life. He planted and harvested a huge vegetable garden 
every season, taking some for his family, and sharing most with others. 
He hosted over-the-top outdoor Christmas and Halloween displays, 
complete with animatronics, lights, sounds and music for the community’s
 enjoyment. And when he told a tall tale…well, it was usually quite a 
doozy.

Bill was a dedicated public servant, serving the city of Hiawatha for
 nearly 30 years as a city commissioner, and retiring as Mayor in 2023. 
Bill believed that serving the community involved being available, 
accountable, and seen. His red pickup was a common site each morning as 
he cruised the city, checking on the progress of projects, visiting with
 residents, and looking for opportunities for improvement. He believed 
Hiawatha was a great place to live and worked tirelessly to make it even
 better.&nbsp;

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, siblings; 
Barbara Edie, Jan Stonebarger, Sue Hall, David Collins, Butch Collins, 
Leonard Collins, and Denny Collins.

Survivors include his special friend Glenda Rieger; daughters Stacey 
(Eric) Wilhelm, Shelly (Dan) Haverkamp, Tammy (Steve) Thompson, son Bill
 (Dia) Collins, Jr.; siblings, Pat Pfaffly, Margaret Brassfield, Kathy 
Campbell, Anita Rounds, Dan Collins, Edward Collins, Rick Collins, Randy
 Collins and Tim Collins, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Bill’s life is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 
19, 2023, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha.&nbsp; Shane Spangler will 
officiate.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon Tuesday where the family will meet from 6 until 8 that evening.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent in care of the funeral home to be designated later.

John W. Hutchcraft Jr., age 81, 
was born December 18, 1941, in Union Star, Missouri, the son of John Sr. 
and Imogene (Jackson) Hutchcraft and passed away April 10, 2023, at his 
home surrounded by his family. 

John graduated from Union Star High School in 1960. He married Rose Marie Montgomery on May 7, 1982.

He retired from SWBell/AT&amp;T. He was a member of PCG, NW Missouri Genealogy Society, and Dekalb County Historical Society. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, John Marshall Hutchcraft and sister, Carol Eddleman. 

He is survived by his loving wife
 of 40 years, Rose of the home; daughters, Robyn (Michael) Ceglenski of 
Union Star, and Valerie Hutchcraft of Union Star; stepson, Joshua Rucker

Ruth
 C. Kneib passed away April 13, 2023.&nbsp; She was born October 5, 1922 to 
the late Daniel C. and Elva Kessler Reardon on the family farm west of 
Clarksdale, MO.&nbsp;

She
 was the third child of eight.&nbsp; She attended the Thornton Grade School 
and graduated from Maysville High School.&nbsp; She married Earl Kneib 
(deceased) on June 19, 1943 at Fort Benning, GA where he was stationed 
during WWII; shortly thereafter she traveled with him to Santa Anna Army
 Airbase in California where he was trained as a pilot in the Army Air 
Corp.&nbsp;

They celebrated 74 years together before his passing in 2017.

After
 the war they returned to farm and they developed and ran the family 
business of Kneib Pop-Up bale loaders with his brothers while she was 
the first cook at the then new Platte Valley School.&nbsp; Ruth was a 
homemaker and active in the Platte Valley Extension Club for many 
years.&nbsp;

They had two children, James M. Kneib (deceased) and Susan Kneib of Kansas City.&nbsp;

She
 and Earl enjoyed traveling, fishing, bowling and dancing.&nbsp; She was a 
member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Altar Society.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; except for a brother, Wayne Reardon and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

The family wishes to express thanks to Field Pointe Care Center and AseraCare hospice for their terrific staff and care.

A
 parish rosary will be recited at 5:30 PM, Monday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith
 &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. Following the rosary,&nbsp; the family will receive
 friends until 8:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM, Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.&nbsp; Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.

William R. "Bill" Collins 1945 - 2023

Billee Ann (Karguth) Herring, 66, died Wednesday April 12, 2023, at St. 
Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born October 23, 1956,&nbsp; in Orlando, Florida. The daughter of Willard “Bill” Karguth and Audrey 
(Wolverton) Karguth. 
Billee was a long time resident of St. Joseph, MO. She was a graduate of
 Lafayette High School, Class of 1975. Billee was a hospital corpsman in
 the US Navy from 1975-1979 and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Academy
 in Annapolis and in Morocco. Billee earned her RN from Methodist 
Medical Center School of Nursing following her service in the US Navy. 
Billee used her nursing experience to provide long term in-home care for
 her parents. 
Billee and her husband Frank were in love for over 40 years, meeting in 
St. Joseph in 1981. They were married August 19, 1983. The family moved 
to Garden City, KS in 2012 to join daughter Angela and her family. 
Billee enjoyed sewing and crocheting, she was the family seamstress and 
often made their clothing. When her children were younger she was always
 involved in their activities often times volunteering her time with Boy
 Scouts, Girl Scouts, and any Booster Club she could. She was warm and 
welcoming, referred to as “Mom” by many children other than her own. She
 adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them in whatever 
they were doing. 
Survivors include her Husband- Frank Herring, Son- Andrew and his wife 
Alisha Herring, Daughter- Angela and her husband Anthony Herman, 8 
Grandchildren, 2 Brothers- Alan Karguth and Joe Karguth, as well as many
 nieces and nephews. 
She is preceded in death by her Parents and Grandparents. 
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 on Friday, May 5, at Krug Park
 in St. Joseph, MO.

Billee Herring 1956 - 2023

Joseph Black, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Born on November 10, 1950, in Elwood, Kansas, he was the son of the late William L. and Sylvia M. (Taylor) Black.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Denise L. (Edwards) Black, whom he married on December 27, 1976. He is also survived by his son, Steve Edwards (Christina); his grandchildren, Cameron Edwards and Anthony Edwards (Laura); his great-grandchildren, Bella and A.J. Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his sisters, Janice Dilley and Charlotte Walker, and his brothers, Billy and Lloyd Black.

Joseph proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for almost 30 years, a testament to his unwavering dedication and love for his country. His courageous spirit and die-hard Marine attitude were evident throughout his life, both in his service and in his personal interests.

An avid motorcycle rider, Joseph enjoyed the freedom and adventure that came with exploring the open road. He also found solace in fishing, appreciating the tranquility and patience it required. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

She married Artie “Butch” Watts on July 4, 1994.

Denna enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her friends. She loved her dog Bud who will miss her terribly.

Ronald L. Goff, 90, Brookline, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

He was born July 18, 1932 to Wade and Opal (Tunnel) Goff in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Ronald married Jessie Maxine DeShon on September 12, 1953.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Opal Goff; brother, Bill Goff.

Francis D. Smith, Savannah, Missouri; passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023 in St. Joseph.

Francis was born on April 6, 1936 to the late Paul and Margaret (Ditto) Smith in Maryville, Missouri. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in Maryville in 1954. &nbsp;

Francis married Phyllis Fastenau on June 28, 1964 at Hope Lutheran Church in Maryville, Missouri. They spent many years of their lives in Maryville before moving to Savannah, Missouri in 1994.

Mr. Smith worked at several job before retiring from the Missouri Department of Revenue in 2002. He loved motorcycling, bowling, hunting and real and model trains.

Mr. Smith&nbsp;has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, April 17. Private Family Inurnment Nodaway Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date.

They spent many years of their lives in Maryville before moving to Savannah, Missouri in 1994.Mr. Smith worked at several job before retiring from the Missouri Department of Revenue in 2002. Kenneth Palmer Glasspoole, 79, Springfield, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his daughter’s home in St. Joseph, Missouri.

He was born May 11, 1943, in River Falls, Wisconsin to Oliver and Junice (Johnson) Glasspoole.

He married Marilyn Lea Mann on June 20, 1964. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2020.

Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Navy, then went on to work for Texaco, Arctic Air, and Rubicon Investments. He was always a handyman in addition to his other jobs.

He loved to read and play with his grandson and great-grandchildren. He was always tinkering with cars and could fix just about any sort of vehicle with a motor. He also could fix anything from household appliances, air conditioners, central heat and air to even on one (or more) occasion, a hot tub. Kenneth also was known for his chili and spaghetti sauce made from scratch.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his parents; and brother, Larry G. Glasspoole.

Survivors include his daughter, Julie (Joe) Schock; grandson, Christopher J. Gordon worked as a crane operator for over Forty-Five years, starting with LFM Foundry, Rockwell International, and Atchison Casting. He retired in 2007. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, where he helped by serving as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader for Pack 94 and Troop 94. Gordon was an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, the honor camping society of Camp Geiger, St. Joseph, MO. His tribal name was Steel Arm. Gordon was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, the highest honor that the Pony Express Council BSA can award. He was also a recipient of the George F. Meany Award and was Wood Badge Leader trained. He enjoyed reading, camping, hiking including at Philmont Scout Ranch, in Cimarron, New Mexico. He was married to Adena Earp on May 17, 1974, at the United Methodist Church, Atchison, KS. Adena survives at home. They have two children, Derek Toms, Liberty, MO and Nicole Toms (Sean Winrow), Atchison, KS, a sister Dixie A. Gilmore, Springfield MO, and five grandchildren Brady, Charlotte, Rowan, Caitlyn, and A’Ja and his constant companion his dog “BO”. His parents preceded him in death.

Richard (Rick) L. Loft, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

He was born February 20, 1947, in Quincy, Illinois to Harold and Ruth (Barkley) Loft.

He graduated from Cameron High School and Central Missouri State University. He later obtained his master’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University. Rick worked for Silgan Containers for over 30 years. He also served as Associate Pastor at Green Valley Baptist Church for 5 years, and on staff at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church after retirement.

On May 17, 1969, he married Suzanne Hardin. She survives of the home.

Rick was a member of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church where he had served as an elder for many years. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and he loved taking part in all their activities and just spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Loft; daughter, Julie Korell (Mark); brother, Robert Loft (Patty); sister, Rebecca Kester; grandchildren, Morgan Galvin (Alex), Jake Korell and Kolby Korell; great-grandchild, Jack Galvin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

MAYETTA – Corey Scott Smith, 17, of Mayetta, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home.&nbsp;

He was born July 6, 2005 in Topeka. His parents are Robert V. Smith and Elizabeth L. Long. Corey was a graduate of Royal Valley High School in Hoyt.&nbsp;

He was a member of the Mayetta United Methodist Church and played in the Drum Line at Royal Valley. He loved producing beats with his friends. He had also participated in the Cub Scouts and the Hoyt Livewires 4-H Club.

Corey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Martin Long and a cousin, Mhari Rowell.

Survivors include his parents, Robert Smith and Liz Long, of the home, his brother, Cody M. Smith, Nebraska City, NE, grandparents, Joanna Long, Lecompton and Bob and Jean Smith, Garden City, aunts and uncles, Milissa and Gareth Rowell, Clever, MO, Nick and Rowena Smith, Garden City, Nathan and Sherri Smith, Denver, CO and Jeny and Steven Bellavia, Lawrence, and eight cousins.

 He was born March 3, 2023 in St. Joseph, and is survived by his parents, brother Creedence, and sister Journey, paternal grandparents, Dane (Melanie) Osteen, Sedalia, MO, maternal grandparents, Angela (Terry) Church, Amazonia, MO, maternal grandfather, John Long, Rosendale, aunts, Cheyenne Long, and Melenna (Andy) Gardner, Kelsey Church, uncle, Blake Osteen, cousins, Emery, Avery, &amp; Archer, several, great aunts, uncles, and great grandparents. 

He was preceded in death by his aunt Sierra Church. He was the most precious baby boy. 

 was a mamas boy and his daddy’s best buddy. Snuggles were his favorite, especially in his rocking chair with mommy. He loved taking baths because mommy and daddy would give him a little mohawk every single time. He loved music, eating and tummy time. 

His brother and sister were crazy about him. They loved to hold his hands and read him books. He was so loved and he will be missed dearly.

Ruth C. Kneib passed away April 13, 2023. She was born October 5, 1922 to the late Daniel C. and Elva Kessler Reardon on the family farm west of Clarksdale, MO.&nbsp;

She was the third child of eight. She attended the Thornton Grade School and graduated from Maysville High School. She married Earl Kneib (deceased) on June 19, 1943 at Fort Benning, GA where he was stationed during WWII; shortly thereafter she traveled with him to Santa Anna Army Airbase in California where he was trained as a pilot in the Army Air Corp.&nbsp;

After the war they returned to farm and they developed and ran the family business of Kneib Pop-Up bale loaders with his brothers while she was the first cook at the then new Platte Valley School.&nbsp; Ruth was a homemaker and active in the Platte Valley Extension Club for many years.&nbsp;

She and Earl enjoyed traveling, fishing, bowling and dancing. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Altar Society.&nbsp;

A parish rosary will be recited at 5:30 PM, Monday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. Following the rosary, the family will receive friends until 8:00 PM.

Doug Thee, 77, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

He was born September 18, 1945, to Paul and Yetta (Willer) Thee in Chamois, Missouri. He graduated from Chamois High School and went on to earn his associate degree in bookkeeping.

He was a member of the United States Air Force for ten years, serving as an electrical technician. While stationed in Alaska, he met the love of his life, Diane Knutson. They were married on December 27, 1966. After spending years out in California, where he worked as a bookkeeper, Doug decided to move his family to Missouri where he and Diane raised their children.

Doug was a devoted member of the Community of Grace Assembly of God Church in Elwood, Kansas, where he worked as both secretary and bookkeeper. He was also in charge of the sound booth and theatrical lighting for church events at Caring First Assembly of God from 1980 to 2000 in St. Joseph.

He spent many years working for Gray Automotive as a telemarketing manager, before pursuing a career in truck driving. He received a certificate for a 17-year safe driving record.

Doug loved photography, guns, and southern gospel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Yetta; and brothers, Lavon Thee and Francis Thee (Mary).

Survivors include his wife, Diane; brother, Kenneth Thee; son, Jon Thee (Stephee); daughter, Melissa Thee; grandchildren, Diana Clark (Aaron Gastineau), Brent Thee (Karissa Brown), and Austin Clark; great-grandchild, Oliver Gastineau; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He graduated from Chamois High School and went on to earn his associate degree in bookkeeping.He was a member of the United States Air Force for ten years, serving as an electrical technician. While stationed in Alaska, he met the love of his life, Diane Knutson. They were married on December 27, 1966. After spending years out in California, where he worked as a bookkeeper, Doug decided to move his family to Missouri where he and Diane raised their children.Doug was a devoted member of the Community of Grace Assembly of God Church in Elwood, Kansas, where he worked as both secretary and bookkeeper. He was also in charge of the sound booth and theatrical lighting for church events at Caring First Assembly of God from 1980 to 2000 in St. Joseph.He spent many years working for Gray Automotive as a telemarketing manager, before pursuing a career in truck driving. He received a certificate for a 17-year safe driving record.Doug loved photography, guns, and southern gospel.He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Yetta; and brothers, Lavon Thee and Francis Thee (Mary).Survivors include his wife, Diane; brother, Kenneth Thee; son, Jon Thee (Stephee); daughter, Melissa Thee; grandchildren, Diana Clark (Aaron Gastineau), Brent Thee (Karissa Brown), and Austin Clark; great-grandchild, Oliver Gastineau; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Doug Thee 1945 - 2023

Sharon Fay Thomas, passed away on April 10, 2023, at Menorah Medical Center. Born on March 3, 1961, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Sharon was the daughter of the late Donald and Shirley Nigh.

Sharon completed her high school education and went on to serve as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Her dedication to her work and the care she provided to her patients were a testament to her kind and compassionate nature.

Throughout her life, Sharon enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting, always living life to the fullest. She cherished the time spent with her daughter, Danielle, who fondly remembers her mother as the best mother anyone could have. Sharon's love for God was evident in her actions and the way she treated others.

Sharon is survived by her significant other, Ernest J. Thomas, and her daughter, Danielle Thomas Payton. She was a beloved sister to Cheryl George, Tammy Huffman, Annie Nigh, Debbie Eldridge, and Brian Nigh. Sharon was predeceased by her parents and brother, Rick Nigh. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.

Sharon will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her daughter, Danielle, says, "I miss you, mommy." Sharon's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Allen Trinkle Jr. on April 7, 2023 at the age of 60 in Lansing, Kansas. David was born on June 13, 1962 to David Trinkle Sr. (deceased) and Margaret (Koker) Trinkle. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Donna Marie (Timon) Trinkle. 

David’s family includes his mother Margaret Trinkle, son Thomas Trinkle, daughter-in-law Jennifer Medrano, sister Shelley Mohan, brother-in-law Ralph Mohan, sister-in-law Esther Jones, sister-in-law Gina Owens, brother-in-law David Owens, brother-in-law Donald Timon (deceased), nephews Brandon (Mindy) Mohan, Kristopher Mohan, Steven (Taneaha) Kasper, Donald (Mandy) Timon, nieces Christine (Scott) Reusch, Ashley (Marc) Kappeas, Julie (Robbie) Boatright. 

David Trinkle was a pillar of the Lansing community. He was a professional auto mechanic for more than 30 years, including providing maintenance for city ambulances. David served as Lansing City Councilman from 2000-2023 and as a volunteer fire fighter and storm spotter for 15 years. He also founded the Lansing Fishing Derby. David and his wife Donna opened their home as foster parents for many years. David Trinkle has touched many hearts and made an impact on many lives. 

He will be missed dearly. Celebration of Life services will be Monday, April 17th at the Lansing Community Center from 6pm to 8pm.

Joseph "Scott" Herrington Sr. 42, of died Sunday, April 9, 2023 in Kansas City, KS. He was born July 8, 1980 in Kansas City, KS, son of the late Connie and Patrick Herrington. 

He attended Trenton High School, and worked as a car detailer. He loved making everyone smile, loved his rock music and was a proud dad of his kids. 

Survivors include children: Nicole Herrington, Kasey (James) Herrington, Joseph "Scottie" Herrington Jr., and Logan Judd, brothers, Travis (Kelli) Herrington, and Christopher (Cheri) Herrington. 

He will be cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home, no services scheduled at this time.

Shirley Gossett, a spirited, loving, and thoughtful woman, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023, in St. Joseph, Missouri, just three days shy of her 90th birthday. Born on April 14, 1933, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Delmar and Helen Lance, Shirley lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories with her family and friends.

Shirley graduated from Westport High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Donald William Gossett, in 1953. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising their son, Don Gossett, who survives her. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Donald, and her parents, Delmar and Helen Lance.

Shirley is survived by her son, Don Gossett (Sheryl); her sister, Joyce Keys; her grandchildren, Dustin and Lauren; and her four great-grandchildren, Grayson, Parker, Landon, and Crosby. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Throughout her life, Shirley was an active and enthusiastic participant in a variety of sports and hobbies. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and bowling, and she was an avid reader.

Lois Maxine Deatherage was born in Agency, MO on October 31 1922 to Robert and Idona Deatherage. Maxine attended Lafayette High School St. Joseph MO and Lake Worth Junior College in Lake Worth Florida. She met and married a pro-baseball player Charles ‘Babe’ Glunt. He was playing AAA ball at Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joseph, where Maxine had a job at the concession stand.&nbsp; They married and traveled following his career and ultimately settled in Lake Worth Florida. Throughout those years they had six children.

Maxine was an entrepreneur at heart, she started an upholstery business in her garage (with the exceptional help of her kids, who got to keep every coin they found), and later transitioned to making drapes. She was self-taught and was very successful at it. In addition, she opened an antique store and later a gift shop in Lake Worth FL, The Blue Heron Gift Shop.

Maxine loved to travel. &nbsp;Her early experience following her husband as he moved from one baseball team to another gave birth to that love of travel. She traveled to nine European countries and enjoyed multiple cruises to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Alaska.

Maxine had a love for writing poetry and had one of her poems published of which she was very proud.

Maxine was a strong woman enduring many personal heartaches and loss, physical injuries, cancer, a heart attack and kidney failure. She endured these with grace, dignity, and class. She even delivered one of her own grandchildren who was named after her, Micki Taylor.

Maxine loved jewelry, classy dresses, shoes, flamingos and almost anything pink and of course she added her own signature flair.

She loved to dance, and dancing is where she met her last husband, David Hurst. David made her last seventeen years full of love and laughter. He proceeded her in death by five months.

Maxine’s faith was a big part of her life and many of her poems reflect that faith. She often wondered “Who will be the first loved one she will see in heaven?”.

She was, even at 100 years old, a force to be reckoned with, and she never lost her love of life and her love for family.

She passed quietly and peacefully at home with family.

Maxine had many names in this life, but the best was mother.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Idona (Beckner) Deatherage, Brothers, Oliver Deatherage, Robert Deatherage, Wayne Deatherage, and Bill Deatherage and a sister Betty Hawk. Three daughters, Joyce Lynn Glunt (died at three days old), Judith Ann Phillips, and Betty Renae Viatori. Husbands Charles ‘Babe’ Glunt, Eban Monroe and David Hurst.

She is survived by a sister Lorene Marshall St. Joseph MO, three sons, Kenneth Charles Glunt, of Norman OK. Clifford Jack Glunt of Tallahassee FL, Gary Wayne Glunt of St. Joseph MO. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and on and on. Along with many loving friends.

Visitation, 5:30 - 6:30 PM Wednesday evening at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM.

Mrs. Monroe will be cremated following the services. Inurnment at the Agency Cemetery at a later date.
