Jerome R. “Jerry” Seeger, age 89, of Independence, MO, passed peacefully on August 13, 2024.&nbsp;

Jerry’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, August 22, 2024. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 801 Spring Garden, Atchison, KS. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A lunch will be provided following burial at St. Joseph Church. Funeral care entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Memorials may be left to the National Kidney Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association or American Association for Cancer Research.&nbsp;

Jerome was born on April 14, 1935, in Atchison, KS, the son of Gerard Benedict Seeger and Genevieve Eleanor (Kane) Seeger. He attended catholic schools in Atchison for his entire education; beginning at St. Joseph Grade School, was a graduate of the 1953 class of Maur Hill Prep and finished at St. Benedict’s College.&nbsp;

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, Anti-Aircraft Division, from 1 MAR 1955 until his honorable discharge on 30 JAN 1962. He was a member of St. Mark’s Church in Independence and also enjoyed mass at St. Robert Bellarmine in Blue Springs. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion in Independence, MO.

Jerry had a rewarding and prosperous career. He began working with Montgomery Ward in Atchison, and later moved on to Gehring Construction and then LFM Rockwell Manufacturing. In 1959, he relocated to Independence, MO, and started as a salesman for West Chemical in Kansas City, MO, and continued in the sales industry at DuBois Chemical and S.C. Johnson until his retirement. Jerry never met a stranger and was known for being the first one to the party and last to leave. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.&nbsp;

He married Gloria Bluma on January 25, 1958, at St. Joseph’s Church in Atchison and they shared over fifty years of marriage before her passing on August 29, 2013. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard, Larry and Elmer “Bud”; sister, Eleanor Keith; infant twin sisters and a son-in-law, Kevin Taylor.&nbsp;

Survivors include his children, Sherra Taylor; Kevin (Sharon) Seeger; Kirk (Kathy) Seeger; Kelly (Robert) Ball. He was Papa J to his eight grandchildren, Sean (Fiancé Cassie VanHorn) and Matthew Taylor; Jessica Seeger; Lauren, Allison Seeger (Tyler Burr) and Collin Seeger; and Joseph and Madeline Ball; and was Gpa to his great granddaughter, Blakely Delay-Seeger.&nbsp;

Jacob Michael Fleming 31, of St Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 in St. Joseph. He was born March 28, 1993 in St. Joseph, son of Susan (Montgomery) and Ronald Fleming. 

Jacob attended Benton High School. On January 17, 2020, he married Tracy (Ledford) Ellington in St. Joseph. Jacob worked as a Truck Driver, which he loved doing. He also enjoyed working with his hands, especially on cars and around the house. He was proud of his cooking abilities. Some of his best times were spent riding 4-wheelers with his kids, shooting guns, blowing stuff up, and he always looking for a good deal. 

Jacob was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ron D. Fleming. 

Survivors include: wife, Tracy Ellington-Fleming of St. Joseph, his parents, step-daughters, Tamera and Emma Ellington, son, Jacob Fleming II, daughter, Azalea Fleming, siblings, Jason (Laura) Johnson, Crystal O'Dell, Ronnie (Amber) Fleming, Emmaleigh Fleming, and Katelynn Fleming, all of St. Joseph, paternal grandparents, Edie &amp; Bob Lowry of Kansas City, MO, mother &amp; father in-law, Janice &amp; Tom Ledford of Excelsior Springs, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fleming has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Adriana Hylton, formerly of Maple Winds Apartments of Hiawatha, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Maple Heights Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Hiawatha where she was readmitted as a resident in June 2022. She was 85.

Adriana was an Italian through and through….born in Este, Italy, September 7, 1938 into a large family of Pistore and Rita Fenza Enrico. She grew up in Este where she attended schools, and graduated high school with the class of 1956. &nbsp;

She married Harold Hylton at Stuttgart, Germany, September 8, 1959. &nbsp;They had made their home in the States’ for many years where she worked for nursing homes.

Survivors include two children Maurice Hylton and Gloria Hylton, and a number of siblings.

Adriana was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, and several brothers and sisters.

Her wish was to be cremated and buried on the Hylton lot at Bern Cemetery.

Myrna C. Hanson, 95, of Weston, MO passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at her home in Weston. Myrna was born July 13, 1929, at her home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Adolph and Ethel (Fuder) Haggstrom.

Myrna attended country school 251 through eighth grade then attended and graduated from Fergus Fall High School in Fergus Fall, Minnesota. She married Arden (Bud) Hanson on September 6, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church in Amor, Minnesota.

Nothing was more important to Myrna than family. She always said her biggest accomplishment was raising their five children. Myrna was a member of various church groups, taught Sunday School for many years, and was a Campfire Girls Leader. She also was involved in school activities. Myrna was always proud of her work and employment at EROS, Federal Earth Resources Observation and Science Center as an armed guard in the security division. She also worked in security at Iatan Power Plant as it was being constructed.

Myrna and Bud loved to travel and often included all the family or grandchildren, leading to many wonderful memories and adventures. Myrna was a wonderful cook which many friends in numerous locations were able to enjoy, especially her hot dishes.

Preceding Myrna in death was husband Arden L. Hanson, and daughter Linda M. Moore. 

She’s survived by son Bruce (Reeze) Hanson, Ottawa, KS; daughters Laurie (Keith) Hoover, DeKalb, MO; Lynette (Kip) McGrath, Weston, MO; son Brad Hanson, Weston, MO; 7 grandchildren Shelly, Chris, Brian, Eric, Nathan, Erin, and Bridget; 12 great grandchildren Matthew, Lindsey, Christopher, Lilly, Destin, Bryce, Brooke, Bree, Brooklyn, Delaney, Calvin Levi, and Molly; and 6 great, great grandchildren Laurel, Brenan, Raelyn, Steele, Ellie, and Trig.

Services will be August 24, 2024, at Sugar Creek Christian Church in Rushville, MO with visitation at 11:30 and memorial service at noon with burial following. Phillip B Wilson, 85, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, August 16, at the First Christian Church in Atchison, Kansas with Dr. David May officiating. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am prior to the service. Interment will be at Mt. Bethal Cemetery, Weston, MO, at a later date with a private family graveside service. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Phillip was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Edward Byron and Eula Gladys Fulk Wilson on September 30, 1938. He was a graduate of West Platte High, Weston, Missouri. Phillip served in the Air National Guard. He worked as a Stores Clerk for TWA in Kansas City as well as raised tobacco. He retired from TWA in 2000. After retiring from TWA, he worked part time at Tate Plumbing.

Phillip married Anna Christine “Chris” Sigrist on December 22, 1957 at his parents home with their lifelong friends, Orville (Buster) and Shirley Blakely, as their attendants. Phillip loved music, both playing the guitar with his family and singing country songs. He loved traveling with his wife overseas and later when he retired, by motor home through the states. Phillip was a people-person making lifelong friendships with almost everyone he came into contact with. He loved to tell stories about the places he and Chris visited, the friends they made and the things they did along the way.

Phillip was a member of the First Christian Church. He enjoyed watching KU basketball, the Chiefs and the Olympics.

His family knew if they needed anything he was always available to help them out, even if they only needed him to listen. His wife was his heart. He loved his children and their spouses, he doted on his grandchildren and their spouses, and to hear him tell it, his great-grandchildren were perfect. He also loved visits from his great-great grandson!

Phillip is survived by his wife, Chris, two sons, Mark (and Beth) Wilson, Nortonville, KS and Thomas (and Julie) Wilson, Atchison, KS, three daughters, Vicki (and Steven) Tate, Atchison, KS, Phyllis Susan (and Ricardo) Robles, Wichita, KS and Brenda Callahan, Atchison, KS, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

His parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Alvin Raymond Mullins 76, of Savannah, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in a Savannah, MO. health care center. He was born December 14, 1947 in Oregon, MO, son of the late Alvin and Shirley Jean (Dahlmann) Mullins. 

He graduated from Oregon High School class of 1965. He married Phyllis Ann McQueen on April 11th, 1966, who preceded him in death in 2009. He worked at Quaker Oats as a machinist retiring after 32 years of service. Alvin enjoyed working on old tractors particularly John Deere, tractor pulls, camping and canoeing, gardening, spending time with his family. He belonged to the greater Kansas City Two-cycle Engine Tractor Club and participated in many tractor cruises and other fundraising activities in North West Missouri and surrounding areas. 

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, and wife. 

They had 5 children, survivors include daughters, Janice Cogdill, Kansas City, MO, Renea (Devon) Patchin, Excelsior Springs, MO, Jackie (Josh) Hannah, Bolckow, MO, and Brenda (Caleb) Cook, Norwood, NC, son, Jeff &nbsp;(Erica) Mullins, Savannah, MO, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a brother, Harry (Delia) Mullins, sisters, Peggy Mullins, and Carol Snodgrass.&nbsp;

Alvin Raymond Mullins 1947 - 2024

Leo V. Stock, 94, Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024.

He was born on December 6, 1929, in Saint Joseph, Missouri, to Leo and Helen (Bauman) Stock.

Leo was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 571, St. Joseph General Assembly 569, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and Christian Brothers Alumni Association. He was also a faithful parishioner at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.

He was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers High School; Class of 1947. Leo continued his education at St. Joseph Junior College where he studied business. His career was dedicated to serving others, starting his career with Bartlett Mortgage Company and retired from American Family Insurance Company after 37 years.

Leo will be remembered for his deep commitment to his faith, his community, and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis Stock, Thomas Stock, and Virgil Stock; and his stepson, Daniel Dzubay.

Survivors include his wife, Lee Stock; son, Steven Stock (Becky); daughter, Stacy Smith (Brian); stepson, James Dzubay; grandchildren, Ashley Schwind (Stephen), Andrew Smith (Kelly), Courtney Mitchell (Nick); step grandchildren, Daniel Dzubay and Serenity Dzubay; great grandchildren, Dalton Schwind, Benjamin Smith and Katherine Smith; brother, Francis Stock (Dorothy), sister-in-Law, Marge Stock; brother-in-law, John Gierach.

Leo continued his education at St. Joseph Junior College where he studied business. Bob Courtney passed away on August 10, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 90.

He was born on October 26, 1933, to Robert and Mary (Powell) Courtney, in Saint Joseph, Missouri and graduated from Lafayette High School.

Bob was a dedicated professional and loving family man, who passed away, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and devotion. He began his career at St. Joseph Light and Power before becoming the owner and operator of Industrial Electric Heating Company, where his expertise and leadership were well respected.

Bob was married to Marylon Ward, with whom he shared a life filled with love, joy and partnership. Together, they raised two sons, Robert Mark Courtney and Bill Courtney. He was a beloved member of Northland Cathedral Church. As a proud veteran, Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, exemplifying his commitment to his country. Bob had a deep love for the ocean and the skies, often finding peace in both flying and spending time by the water. He enjoyed hanging out at the Coves pool and playing tennis/racquetball with his friends. Bob was known for his energetic spirit, sense of humor, and passion for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy Courtney; and sister, Eleanor Reece.

Survivors include his wife, Marylon (Ward) Courtney; his two children, Robert Mark Courtney (Sandi), and Bill Courtney (Kristine); grandchildren, Matthew Courtney, Michael Courtney, Christa Bergerhofer, Brandon Courtney and Anna Courtney; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Flo Ann Brown and Mary Kay Halloran.

William Robert "Bob" Courtney 1933 - 2024

Sharon Theresa Stephens, 69, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Monday morning, August 12, 2024, at the South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City. Born September 5, 1954, in Big Spring, Texas, she was the daughter of Jerome and Darlene (Lutz) Berning. 

As the daughter of an airman, Sharon moved several times during her childhood. When she was three years old, her father died. Sharon’s mother eventually married William “Willie” Gerety, who helped raise Sharon. In 1972, she graduated from Jefferson County North High School. Following high school, Sharon attended Kansas State University.

Sharon was united in marriage to Larry Stephens. The couple made their home in Valley Falls. They had two children, Marshall and Brandy, and later divorced. Sharon started work in Nortonville as a CNA at a nursing home. She became a home health aide for Jefferson County for a time before working in their bookkeeping. Sharon also volunteered with the Jefferson County Hospice, sitting with patients and even being requested by others. Around 2010, Sharon moved to Winfield to be near her daughter.

Sharon was a club leader for over 10 years for Jefferson County 4-H. She enjoyed puzzles, knitting, crocheting, crafting, making jewelry, traveling, playing games and nature. Sharon especially enjoyed announcing at the NEKSAG horse shows. She had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly her siblings’ and kids’ animals. Sharon loved her grandchildren and treasured spending time with her family.

Sharon’s family includes her children, Marshall Stephens (Amanda) of Holton; Brandy Long (Chad) of Winfield; her grandchildren, Ty Stephens, Isabelle Stephens, Cally Stephens, Ashton Wood; and her siblings, Lynn Ledbetter (Wayne) of Perry; Sandy Linderman of Manhattan; Mike Gerety (Sara) of Effingham; Joe Gerety of Nortonville; Debbie Briar (late Randy) of Emporia; Karen Gerety (Jessie) of South Dakota; and Lisa Gerety of South Dakota.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Darlene, and her step-dad William Gerety.

Ruth Colleen Barbee, 87 years, 6 months, and 1 day, departed this life on August 12th, 2024. Ruth was born February 11, 1937 on a farm in Platte County, MO. She was the daughter of Wm E. and Lucile V. (West) Barbee. She graduated from Pickett High School in 1954 and attended Gards Business University, St. Joseph, MO.

She retired from Mercantile Bank (now U.S. Bank) December 1998. Ruth was a member of Frederick Blvd. Baptist Church. She loved gardening, yard work, volunteering at Mosaic Hospital, and helping the elderly or anyone who needed help. She was just a plain ole country gal who loved her Lord, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Owen A. Barbee. Survivors include Nieces, Beverly (David deceased) Stouffer-Marshall (Bill), Alice Faye (Steve) Thomas, Donna (Richard) VanCleave, Dixie Barbee and Janice Barbee, Nephew Mike (Emily) Barbee, several Great Nieces and Nephews and Great Great Nieces and Nephews, and many friends.

Dianne Satterlee, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Palmdale, California, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024.

She was born May 25, 1951 in Bakersfield, California, to Paul and Pauline Satterlee.

Dianne loved camping at Emma Wood State Beach. She also had a passion for cooking, especially her homemade pasta. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was open-minded and always willing to try something new.

Dianne was a practitioner at the North Hollywood Church of Religious Science.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dick Satterlee; and her sister, Kathy.

Phyllis D. Monahan, 86, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 11, 2024, at her home.

Phyllis was born December 5, 1937 in DeKalb, Missouri.

Phyllis was a bookkeeper for many years, working at Cargill and Crouse Motors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Monahan; father, Thomas E. Reagan; mother, Olive E. (Lamanski) Ramsel; son-in-law, Roger L. Brock; sisters, Betty Rhoades and Mary Fulton; and grandson, John W. Stanton.

Monahan, 86, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 11, 2024, at her home.Phyllis was born December 5, 1937 in DeKalb, Missouri.Phyllis was a bookkeeper for many years, working at Cargill and Crouse Motors.She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Monahan; father, Thomas E. Reagan; mother, Olive E. (Lamanski) Ramsel; son-in-law, Roger L. Brock; sisters, Betty Rhoades and Mary Fulton; and grandson, John W. Stanton.Survivors include son, Stephen Monahan of St. Joseph; two daughters, Katherine T. Stanton and husband Paul of Lowell, Arkansas, and Kelly A. Raymond Joseph “Joe” Edwards, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Aug 8 in Gulf Shores, Alabama after his big heart finally gave up. He was born Nov 20, 1943 in San Diego, CA to Ira Calvin Edwards and Meta Elizabeth (Welty) Edwards, both formerly of St. Joseph. Ira was in the Navy at the time stationed in San Diego, thus making Joe a “Navy brat”, and destined to move every few years, a trait he kept for the rest of his life.

Joe had many careers and many businesses, and lived in many places during his active life. While in high school he was one of the founders of the Crusaders Car Club, and remained a member throughout adulthood. He joined the Marine Corps shortly after graduating from Central High, and during his enlistment he married and had his first child. After his discharge from active duty, his new family moved to Napa, CA where his parents were now residing. A phone company career began shortly afterward, and he remained involved in the telecommunications and computer world for the rest of his working life.

During retirement, Joe “wheeled and dealed” in the classic car world, and even bought and renewed a golf course. He could do and fix just about anything, and he was generous to a fault.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Joseph “Joey” Warren Edwards. He is survived by his partner of 35 years, Sharon Lee Brown of Gulf Shores,AL, his brother Calvin Edwards (Sue) of Kettle Falls, WA, his daughters Catherine “Lyn” Worrell (Chris) of Wichita, KS and Jennifer Mary Clark (J.R.Ward) of Windsor, CA, plus 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.

Graveside Farewell Service and Interment 3:00 P.M. Friday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home &amp; Crematory. Gary Winckler, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

He was born February 14, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Harold and Irene Winckler. He grew up in Chicago. Gary proudly served his country in the military.

Gary married Judith Shafer, who survives of the home.

He was a meat cutter at several grocery stores, including Green Hills in Savannah, the Trading Post, and Thomas Market.

Gary was a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Temple, now Riverside Baptist Church.

He loved hunting, fishing, and watching TV, especially political shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kristin Culver; and brother, Dale Winckler.

Survivors include his wife, Judith; children, Sheila Culver and Jeff Winckler; sister, Linda Ortiz; niece, Marrisa; and nephew, Johnathan.

Cynthia “Cyndi” Ann (Weaver) Reynolds (76) passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Cyndi was born on August 30, 1947 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Virginia Eileen (Kirkpatrick) and James Elbert Weaver.

After graduating from McClain Senior High School in Tulsa, OK in 1965, she entered into the United States Air Force. She was the first female to enlist in the Air Force in Oklahoma in 1966. While attending basic training in San Antonio, TX, she met her future husband, James “Jimmy” Donald Reynolds. They were married on November 19, 1966 at Randolph Air Force Base. They had two children, Sheila Marie and James Harold. Cyndi first moved to Hiawatha in 1967 before moving to Illinois and then returning to Hiawatha permanently in 1978.

Cyndi is most recognized in the community for her long career in law enforcement. She joined the Hiawatha Police Department Reserves in 1979 and became a full-time dispatcher for the P.D. in 1980. &nbsp;In 1981, she moved to a full-time patrol officer position. Keeping in the tradition of defying tradition, she was the first female police officer sworn in in Northeast Kansas. She served in that role until November 1987. &nbsp;From 1988-1990, she took a break from law enforcement and was employed at Tice Health Mart as a pharmacy tech. She decided that once she could decipher the doctor’s handwriting on prescriptions without any difficulty, it might be time to make a change. In May 1990, she began working at Brown County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher. While there, she served as the Communications Sergeant from 1992-2007. &nbsp;Much to many officers’ dismay, she finished out her career on midnight shift (it rarely seemed to be quiet when 735 was dispatching). She retired from Brown County S.O. on August 1, 2012. Following retirement, she worked at both the Kickapoo Tribe and Sabetha P.D. part time. Cyndi was also a member of the very first crew of Brown County Squad 48 as well as served as a first responder for Town and Country Ambulance.

She loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas State Wildcats, spending time with her great grand “babies” and visiting the farm to check on the goats. &nbsp;

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Sheila. 

She is survived by son James (Cindy) Reynolds of Falls City, NE; granddaughter Ashleigh (Adam) Eickhoff of Falls City, NE; granddaughter Samantha Reynolds of Falls City, NE; grandson David Reynolds of Falls City, NE; and great-grandchildren Hudson, Harlow, Malakai, Harrison, and Charlotte.

A celebration of Cyndi’s life is planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha. Shane Spangler will officiate. Private inurnment will be at Hiawatha Cemetery. Military honors a courtesy of the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday where the family will visit Tuesday evening from 5 until 7.

Thelma Marie Rich, 86, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at her home. Surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 7, 1938 in Andrew County, MO, daughter of Margaret and Uga Vessar. 

She graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1956. On March 23, 1958, she married Robert Rich in St. Joseph. Thelma worked as a Switchboard Operator, retiring from US Bank after 25 years. She was a member of the Abundant Faith Church of God. She was a wonderful wife of over 66 years. She was a Foster Mother over a period of 20 years to over 86 different children in the states of California, Massachusetts, and Virginia. Thelma was a community volunteer with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She also was honored with being picked Mother of the Year of San Diego, California in 1972. Thelma enjoyed gardening, houseplants, and cooking among many other hobbies and interests. 

She also enjoyed being a member of the Sparta Community Club with her role as Entertainment Director for many years.&nbsp;Thelma was also responsible for organizing and helping manage a shut-in ministry with her church for two years. 

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tama Rich, and brother, Samuel Vessar. 

Survivors include: husband, Robert Rich of the home, children, Jonna Sample (Richard) of St. Joseph and Mark Rich (Durice Ladd) of Oregon, MO, brother, Stephen Vessar of Coeur d'Alene, ID, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Don R. Eggebrecht, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

He was born August 17, 1940 in Wausau Wisconsin to Otto and Mary Eggebrecht. Don graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration.

He began his career at Proctor and Gambler then became the first manager of St Joseph Cablevision. After 18 years he developed a successful investor group of cablevisions in Missouri and Kansas. In 1973-1974 he was president of MidAmerica of CATV. He then became a stock broker with Dain Bosworth and a Raymond James.

Don was active or was president of the following groups Girls Scouts, YMCA, Second harvest and Red Cross. He was also past president of the St Joseph Country Club and Booster Club.

Don leaves behind his best friend and loving wife Mary. They were married for 37 years.

Survivors include 5 great daughters, Jennifer Osumi (Scott) of Costa Mesa, CA, Lisa Roy ( Steve) of Rochester, MN, Laura Knox ( Kollin) of Platte City, Mo, Cathy Stuber of St Joseph, MO, and Becky MacDonald of Denver, CO. Colorado. Seven wonderful grandchildren including Kenedy and Kaelyn Knox, Maggie and Austin Osumi, Josh and Tanner Roy, Remy MacDonald

Preceded in death by his granddaughter Reece MacDonald, His parents and brother Rick and sister Eleanor.

He had a passion for all things golf and spending time with his friends and family.
