Stacy Astor Adams Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 1, 2025.Stacy was the son of Hilda Dixon and Stacy A. Adams Sr., born April 25,1959,9 in Washington D.C. He attended various schools in the Washington DC and Maryland areas.Stacy joined the military and returned to DC and married his first wife Valerie Claggett, from this union Two children were born. Stacy worked as a cable lineman prior to joining the DC National Guard 205 th Company which was the first armed guard unit to guard Ft. Leavenworth after the 911 tragedy. After the tour ended Stacy decided to return to Kansas and Joined the Missouri National Guard. Stacy met and married his second wife, and they moved to Kansas City KS. Stacy is a member of the St. John #2 Masonic Lodge in Independence MO.Stacy worked at the KCVA until he retired in 2022. Stacy loved his Stacy Adams Line of clothing; he loved fishing, especially back on the east coast in the Chesapeake Bay area. He loved that truck rarely did you see Any dirt or dust on it. He loved his Washington Redskins no matter what they were called, Commanders, Washington Football Team. He loved his music, George Clinton, Jazz, old school slow jams. When he wasyounger, he loved drag racing and working on cars. He loved cruises and concerts and comedy club comedians.Best of all he loved sitting in that truck all day and night talking on the phone listening to music and ready to offer and give advice to whomever it was. Stacy was a stubborn man and believed what he believed with a pure heart coated in Gold.Stacy was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Ashton Herbert.He survived by his wife Dorothy of the home, Kansas city KS, son Stacy A Adams III (Tre)Rockville, his daughter Nicole Adams, grandchildren Micah, Kage and Victoria of Gaithersburg MD, stepdaughter Adrianne Cooper (Jovan) s-grandman Quadias Cooper of San Antonio TX. niece Ashley Herbert, Atlanta GA, Valerie Claggett, Glen Burnie MD, John Mahalic (Stacy’s BIG Brother since he was young) James Taylor, John Mason, Darlene Jackson and Chonise Blackson. Stacy had so many close cousins and friends we could not list them all His sister in-laws and brother in laws nieces and nephews. Stacy Adams Jr., Gone too soon.

Visitation will be at Bethel AME Church on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 10 to 11 A.M. Funeral service will follow at the church. Burial will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. following the funeral.
