She attended elementary school in Huntington Beach, California, before her and her parents moved to the Mooney Creek area in 1976. She is a 1979 graduate of Jefferson Co. North High School, Winchester, Kansas. Liz worked for eleven years as a AT&amp;T relay operator early in her career, and loved her time as a radio DJ for Magic 108 FM. Most recently she worked for CPAC billing Veterans, retiring in 2023. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Liz enjoyed cooking, shopping, animals, motorcycle rides, ATV runs, playing card, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She married Marty Hoffman on May 24, 2008, in Nortonville, KS, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2024. She was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Liz is survived by her son, Joshua (Kayla) Hoffman, daughter, Meridith Hoffman, two grandchildren, Braylon and Andrew Hoffman, sister, Connie Rosenthal, brother-in-law, Philip (Sherri) Hoffman, and Team Liz.&nbsp;She is preceded by her parents, husband, and brother Robert “Chris” Johnson.

Carol was born on February 22, 1940, in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Gilbert and Ruth (Hundley) Vessar. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1958. She married Jack Cannon on September 16, 1960, and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2012. She was a bus driver for 40 years, for Atchison Co. Carol was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Atchison.

She is survived by her son, John (Sharon) Cannon, daughter, Jane (Roger) Beach, grandchildren, Jake Paolucci, Jaclyn Pruitt, and Jordan Doll, Catherine and Ian Cannon, numerous great-grandchildren, brothers; Larry Vessar, Roger Vessar, Bobby Vessar, Ronnie Vessar, sisters; Joyce Crossland, Suzan Niemann, Martha Card, and Tammy Brown.&nbsp;

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Terry Vessar.

Laura was born on February 24th, 1928, in east Atchison. Laura is the daughter of Jesse and Ellen Moore of Sugar Lake east of Atchison who proceeded her in death. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1945. Laura worked at Ramseys Department Store upon graduation then attended Atchison Beauty College in Atchison. She worked as a beautician in Atchison until the family moved to Stockton MO in 1984. She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church, a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship, and was active as a Den Mother and Cub Scout Leader.

Laura enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, traveling, going to the casino and her family pets. She was a long-time member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Club.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Laura married Carl Case Draper on March 12th, 1950, at the First Christian Church. Carl proceeded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include one daughter Diane (Paul) Briggs of Colwich, KS, and four sons Ken (Kathy) Draper of Stockton MO, Kirk (Lisa) Draper of Macks Creek MO, Craig Draper of Huntsville AR, and Dennis (Sue) Draper of Atchison KS. Laura has 13 grandchildren, Jerri (Doug) Newman, Kelli (Josh) McClintock, Jeff (Sarah) Draper, David Draper, Davis (Erin) Draper, Dustin (Michelle) Draper, Judianne Doyle, Crystal (Colton)Wright, Jennie (Ross) Fuhrman, Joanie (Sam) Sinclair, Maureen (Mike) Berry, Ian Briggs, Katie Draper. Laura has twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Joanna Ruth Bonham 83, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at a local health care facility. She was born September 1, 1940 in St. Joseph, daughter of Verrill and Floyd Hessemyer. Joanna graduated from Central High School, class of 1958, and Stephens College, class of 1960. She married Gary Bonham on June 6, 1964 in St. Joseph. Joanna loved animals, especially her poodles. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Ashland United Methodist Church. 

Preceding her in death are her parents, and husband, Gary Bonham. Survivors include: son, Galen Bonham, daughter, Jenny Galloway, both of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Benjamin, Gabriel, and Jolie Galloway.Ms. Bonham has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. Elma L. Muse, 79, of St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Forest City and Oregon, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at a St. Joseph hospital.

Elma was born on November 7, 1944 in Forest City to Charles T. and Marjorie E. (Rasnic) Lovelady. She was one of 12 children. Elma attended school at Forest City.

On May 6, 1963 she married James A. Muse in Oregon. James passed away on May 16, 1968 when Elma was just 23 years old.&nbsp;

Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Roxie; and siblings, Donald Francis Lovelady, Ruby Lovelady, Stella Lovelady, Goldie Jean Kluge, Eva Marie Todd, Charles “Bud” Lovelady, Ida Nadine Lovelady, and an infant brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Andrea (Chris) Dittmer; grandchildren, Sylas and Anna Dittmer, Joni Burch, and James (Jennifer) Burch; great grandson, Braxton Burch; brother, Howard Lovelady; sisters, Doris Lovelady and Laura Jo Cloyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shawn Michael Schuler, age 41, of Atchison, KS, died unexpectedly on February 19, 2024.

A visitation to celebrate and remember Shawn’s life will be Monday, February 26, 2024, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with a short prayer service by Rev. Dr. Rachel Dannar to conclude the visitation. Shawn will be cremated following the visitation.

Shawn was born on September 6, 1982, in Atchison, KS, the son of Sonja (Trower) and Jeffrey Schuler. He attended public grade school and graduated from Atchison High School. Growing up, he enjoyed wrestling, baseball and boy scouts. He was employed at Bradken for over fifteen years.

He could be described as the smartest, dumb guy you knew, for example, he enjoyed riding bulls at numerous rodeos. He loved the outdoors, cooking, gardening and was extremely crafty in all he did. The best part about him was that he was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his father, Jeff Schuler (Tammy Ferris); mother, Sonja Betts; sisters, Amanda Smith (Ricky), Erica Schuler; stepbrother, Kyle Ferris; stepsister, Asha Ferris; paternal grandmother, Beverly Schuler; maternal grandmother, Mary Trower; and aunts and uncles, Wade (Tammy) Schuler, Shelly Quinlan, Robbie Walker, Tina Purdy, Corey Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by both his grandfathers, and stepbrother, Brandon Walker.

She was born September 28, 1958 in St. Joseph, daughter of Barbara (Bunch) and Charles Leupold. She graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1976 and attended the St. Joseph Beauty University. Dianna worked at State of Missouri as a Corrections Officer, from where she retired. She loved animals and was a devoted grandmother. Dianna was preceded in death by mother, Barbara Cox and father, Charles Leupold. Survivors include sons, Harold Owens of St. Joseph and Shane Silvey of Lees Summit, MO, brothers, Chuck Leupold (Peggy Bernard) of St. Joseph, Chip Cox of Bethany, MO and Dwain Cox of Bethany, MO, grandchildren, Trysdon, Tyler, Ciara, Kailey, Jace, Chase and Gabe and 5 great-grandchildren.

Shelly Rae Patterson, 62, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away &nbsp;Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home. She was born April 24, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, IA, daughter of Patricia "Pat" and Albert "Pat" Patterson. She attended Central High School. Shelly was a member of &nbsp;the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in St. Joseph. She loved art, crocheting and bird watching and she had a witty sense of humor. Shelly was preceded in death by father, Albert "Pat" Patterson, siblings, Debra Howdeshell, Fred Robidoux, Walt Robidoux and Michael Patterson. Lois Vivian Brewer, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital, after a brief illness.

She had a deep love for her family and friends. She cherished the Lord and continuously expressed her gratitude for a long life full of remarkable memories and diverse experiences.

She was born on January 4, 1924, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Cleota Madison Washington-Tapp (Henry) and Floyd Edward Washington Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman Franklin Brewer, Sr., St. Joseph, Missouri, son, Norman Franklin Brewer, Jr., Cleveland, Ohio, and brothers William Madison Washington (Eunice), St. Joseph, Missouri and Floyd Edward Washington, Jr. (Cora Mae), Cleveland, Ohio.

Lois Brewer leaves behind to cherish her memory: daughter of the home, De Lois Jean Brewer aka Jeanne, Kansas City, Missouri, son, Clarence Edward Brewer, Chicago, Illinois, daughter-in-law, Mary Brewer, Cleveland, Ohio.

Her greatest pride and joy were her relationships with family including grandchildren, Stefan Gilbert (Kristina), Stacey Gene, Straud Gregory (Elizabeth) Brewer all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Clayton (Teresa) Brewer of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Kimberly (Daniel) Morrison of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Ebonie,Tanya and Kimberly Smith of Cleveland Ohio. Twelve great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren with a great-great grandson due in April, several nieces and nephews, host of great, great-great, and great–great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins, spawning across the states of Ohio, Washington, Florida, Tennessee, California, Wyoming, Arizona, Indiana, Texas, Virginia and Colorado.

Lois had a variety of occupations throughout her life. She retired from the United States Postal Service and was a passionate community volunteer in St. Joseph. She also worked for the Economic Opportunity Corporation serving as a neighborhood coordinator and devoted time to the open door food kitchen and meals on wheels. Lois was also a licensed beautician for many years.

She joined St. Francis Baptist Temple in June of 1938 and was a faithful lifelong member. She served in the Naomi Circle Women’s Mission, Usher Board and Historical Committee.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, pride, kindness, and faith in the Lord. She will live forever in our hearts.

Known as “The Barber,” Mark was a barber/stylist his whole life. He was an avid pocket billiards player, who also enjoyed fishing and traveling.

Whatever Mark did, he went in wholeheartedly – all or nothing – whether it was making his own gourmet coffee or being a foodie with a special fondness for Asian cuisine. Let’s not forget his in-depth study of specialty herbs and spices.

Mark was a good-hearted man with a good sense of humor.

He was a Christian and got baptized in the River Jordan by Pastor BZ.

Survivors include numerous friends, including his four-legged friend, Norman.

She was born on August 24, 1934, to Roy Dickerson and Mamie Grace (Judd) Bell in Bethany, Missouri.&nbsp;

She graduated from Bethany High School in 1951. Later that year, on October 1st, she married Ora A. Brooke. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2014.

She was a former member of the Bethel FCE (Family Community Education), Andrew County Extension Council, and board member at Shady Lawn. Frances was also the former president of the Blair School PTA.

Frances spent many years as a homemaker, providing a home full of love and laughter for her four children. She extended that love as a foster parent, welcoming children in need into her home. Frances’ home also served as an in-home daycare for children in the community.&nbsp;

She was a devoted mother and very involved in her children’s extracurricular activities. She was a proud Eagle Scout mom to her three sons.

Frances also enjoyed giving back to her community, often volunteering with the local food kitchen. She had a servant’s heart and extended kindness to everyone she met.

After her husband retired, they traveled the world together. From coast to coast, they visited Alaska, Hawaii, Tijuana, Nova Scotia, New Zealand and Australia, just to name a few.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sisters, Doris Nina Rawls and Helen Louise Helton.&nbsp;

Survivors include her children, Michael Brooke (Karen), Tom Brooke (Debbie), Patricia E. Supple (Terry) and Jeff Brooke (Julia), ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Christina (Bringus) Salvatore, 59, a cherished soul known for her spirited love of horses, passed away on February 16, 2024 in Agency, Missouri. She was born on May 20, 1964, in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Christina dedicated many years to serving her community through her management roles at Clarks Gas Station and Dollar General, earning respect and admiration for her work ethic and leadership.

She was a loving daughter, mother and friend who always saw the good in people and found a way of bringing people together with her beautiful smile. She was a generous soul as well, unless her favorite candies of Tootsie Rolls and Werther’s Original caramels were involved!

An avid equestrian, she found joy in riding and raising horses — a testament to her adventurous spirit. Christina's enthusiasm extended to spirited mudding adventures in her Jeep, sharing her zest for life with all around her.

Christina was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bringus. Her memory will forever gallop in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Karessa Case (Ricky) and Brayden Salvatore; her mother, Mary Williams; and her brother, Larry Bringus. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends, and her beloved dogs, Ruby and Keyo.

Christina (Bringus) Salvatore 1964 - 2024

Corine R. “Connie” Kneisel, of Hiawatha, died Saturday evening, February 17, 2024, at Anew Health Care Center in Hiawatha. &nbsp;She was 82. &nbsp;

Connie was a longtime resident of Brown County, she was born at Atchison, Kansas, June 11, 1941, one of five children born to Carl and Ruth Schmitt Kneisel. &nbsp;She grew up on a farm near Powhattan where her family farmed and raised livestock and attended country school, later graduating from Powhattan High School with the class of 1959. &nbsp;She attended the three year program at Missouri Methodist Nursing School in St. Joseph where she received her registered nurse diploma. &nbsp;

Her strong work ethic she learned by growing up on the farm carried over to her nursing. &nbsp;Connie worked various places in her many years of nursing: &nbsp;Alma Nursing Home, Hiawatha Community Hospital, Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha where she served as Director of Nursing for several years, and Colmery O’Neil Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka for 10 years, retiring in 1997. &nbsp; As a nurse, she took care of and treated people like she was taking care of her own family, and like she wanted to be treated. In later years she moved to the Maple Grove Senior Complex to make her home, still caring for people by taking blood pressure and changing dressings when there were concerns.

Connie was baptized and confirmed in the Powhattan Lutheran Church before the Kneisel family transferred their membership to Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha. &nbsp;Her growing and young mother years, Connie was busy! &nbsp;She sang in the choir at Powhattan High School, was involved with 4-H where she was a member of the Modern Sunflower 4-H Club. &nbsp;She won the ‘who’s-who’ Award—which was the highest award in health and food preparation. &nbsp;Her faith was very important to her and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Powhattan Lutheran Church. &nbsp;Connie was also a member of the Walther League Club of Powhattan. &nbsp;After she retired she was a member of the Hiawatha Chapter of NARFE.

Survivors include two children: &nbsp;William ‘Bill’ Spiker (Dawn), and Rita Hill; a sister Kathy Engle, a brother Harlan Kneisel (Susan); 4 grandchildren; &nbsp; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Kneisel, and a sister Sharon Rosenberger.

A Celebration of Connie’s Eternal Life is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha with Pastor Brian Holle officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Corine R. “Connie” Kneisel, of Hiawatha, died Saturday evening, February 17, 2024, at Anew Health Care Center in Hiawatha. &nbsp;She was 82. &nbsp;Connie was a longtime resident of Brown County, she was born at Atchison, Kansas, June 11, 1941, one of five children born to Carl and Ruth Schmitt Kneisel. &nbsp;She grew up on a farm near Powhattan where her family farmed and raised livestock and attended country school, later graduating from Powhattan High School with the class of 1959. &nbsp;She attended the three year program at Missouri Methodist Nursing School in St. Joseph where she received her registered nurse diploma. &nbsp;Her strong work ethic she learned by growing up on the farm carried over to her nursing. &nbsp;Connie worked various places in her many years of nursing: &nbsp;Alma Nursing Home, Hiawatha Community Hospital, Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha where she served as Director of Nursing for several years, and Colmery O’Neil Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka for 10 years, retiring in 1997. &nbsp; As a nurse, she took care of and treated people like she was taking care of her own family, and like she wanted to be treated. In later years she moved to the Maple Grove Senior Complex to make her home, still caring for people by taking blood pressure and changing dressings when there were concerns.Connie was baptized and confirmed in the Powhattan Lutheran Church before the Kneisel family transferred their membership to Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha. &nbsp;Her growing and young mother years, Connie was busy! &nbsp;She sang in the choir at Powhattan High School, was involved with 4-H where she was a member of the Modern Sunflower 4-H Club. &nbsp;She won the ‘who’s-who’ Award—which was the highest award in health and food preparation. &nbsp;Her faith was very important to her and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Powhattan Lutheran Church. &nbsp;Connie was also a member of the Walther League Club of Powhattan. &nbsp;After she retired she was a member of the Hiawatha Chapter of NARFE.Survivors include two children: &nbsp;William ‘Bill’ Spiker (Dawn), and Rita Hill; a sister Kathy Engle, a brother Harlan Kneisel (Susan); 4 grandchildren; &nbsp; and 6 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Kneisel, and a sister Sharon Rosenberger.A Celebration of Connie’s Eternal Life is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha with Pastor Brian Holle officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow at Mt. Eric Ryan Martin, 49, of Platte City, MO passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home on February 16, 2024. Eric was born on February 6, 1975 in North Kansas City, MO to Linda and Pat Martin, also of Platte City.

Eric grew up and lived in the Platte City area most of his life. He graduated from Platte County High School. He was currently employed by Trane Supply as a sales associate.

Eric was a loving son, and a proud father to his two sons Austyn R. Martin (Leighann) of Platte City, and Lukas P. Martin of Gladstone, MO. Pop to his grandchildren whom he adored. Granddaughter, Savannah D. Martin and grandson, Waylon R. Martin. Eric was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed riding his Indian motorcycle with friends and motorcycle groups. He loved making people laugh. On occasion he would dress up in a crazy costume and go out and have a good time.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Norma Coons and his paternal grandmother, Dorles Hillis. He is survived by his parents, sons and grandchildren along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City; followed by a 12:15 p.m. graveside service at the Platte City Cemetery. Stewartsville, Missouri – Blake Burl Morgan, age 24, was born September 6, 2000 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Tracy Lynn Morgan and passed away February 16, 2024. Blake Morgan was also the son of Jared and Tara Adkins and loved his sister, Victoria Adkins.&nbsp; Blake passed away in Canton, Ohio.

Blake graduated from Stewartsville C-2 High School in 2019.&nbsp; Blake enjoyed working on electronics and his computers.&nbsp; Blake worked at the Dollar General in Stewartsville and previously worked at Altec in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp; His latest employment was at Amazon in Ohio.&nbsp;

Blake was known for his kindness and polite demeanor.&nbsp; He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and playing video games.&nbsp;

He is preceded in death by his mother, Tracy Lynn Morgan.&nbsp;

Survivors include his sister, Victoria Adkins; his foster parents, Jared and Tara Adkins; grandparents Jacky and Penny Adkins; grandparents Byron and Juanita Hovenga; cousin Mackenzie Mackley and many other family and friends.

Janette Lee Perkins, 86, of Leavenworth, KS, formerly of Camden Point, MO passed away February 20, 2024.

She was born on February 3, 1938, to Howe and Lydia (Hensley) Shanks near Dearborn where she grew up and attended school in Platte County.

On September 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to Arthur H. Perkins. After their marriage they lived in Leavenworth, in 1961 they moved to Camden Point, and in 1990 they returned to Leavenworth. Arthur passed away on April 16, 2014.

Janette worked as a cook for North Platte High School and Heritage Village in Platte City for many years. She also cooked meals for the tobacco help and loved cooking meals on Wednesdays for the church.&nbsp;

She enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grand and great-grandchildren.

Janette is survived by her children Arthur Lee Perkins and wife Debbie, Penny Colombo and husband James, Mark Perkins, and Susan Agesen and husband Jon; grandchildren, Arthur Lee, Jr., P.J., Jamie, Michelle, James, Tiffany, Danielle, Rylee, Brittany, and Aaron; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters Edna Salkowski and Marjorie Mundt; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Ralph Wayne “Butch” Greer, 78, of Dearborn, MO, after his year-long battle with cancer received his eternal trip to heaven on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home. He was born May 3, 1945, in Bethany, MO to Roy and Catherine (Spaht) Greer. He graduated from Maysville High School in 1963.&nbsp; &nbsp;He met his one and only love, Mary Elaine Winston when they played saxophones together in band after their schools merged. They were united in marriage on March 20, 1966, at the Bethel Baptist Church in Cosby, MO.

Butch grew up near Pattonsburg, MO and attended church at the Santa Rosa Baptist Church. He was baptized in the river when he was 9 years old.

Butch wanted his children and grandchildren to know that as he was growing up, life was “fun”! He loved to drag race cars and he and his dad raised and showed foxhounds for years.&nbsp;

Butch was grateful for his early experience operating heavy equipment both on the farm and with his Uncle Curly. He was also grateful for an early opportunity he had to be “turned loose” on some equipment where he “learned by doing.” This experience and diesel mechanics school, led to his working with the Operating Engineers Local 101 as a crane operator for 35 years. He worked many an hour in many situations along many miles of both the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers and others. He worked in big cities and places where there were no roads. After “retiring” to continue work as a crane operator and construction business owner. Through Greer Construction he did work for many neighbors and friends. There was nothing he couldn’t fix.&nbsp;

Butch made three mission trips to Haiti both before and after the major earthquake to help build much needed wells for the people of Haiti. He was an 11-time willing servant on the Master’s Builders, a mission group that works in the community and around the US doing one-week, intensive, construction or renovation projects for people or organizations that need some extra helping hands. Butch was ALWAYS up for a road trip. He loved to travel.

Butch loved all people and old cars. He never met a stranger. Though he could talk to anyone, anytime, his favorite thing to talk about was old cars. He loved car shows and cruise nights and he will be missed at these events.

Butch was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton, Mo serving many years as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. His favorite Bible verses were Mark 9:23-24 “If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” and Philippians 2:12-13 “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed – not only in my presence, but how much more in my absence – continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Jim and Mary Winston of Clarksdale, MO, and brother-in-law James Dwaine Winston.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elaine; children, Meleea Greer Lindseth (Brion) of Great Falls, MT, Darin Greer (Erin) of Sioux Falls, SD, Justin Greer (Stacy) of Camden Point, MO and Tonya Greer; grandchildren, Josey Lindseth-Wood (Shane), Carson, Raina and Wyatt Lindseth, Heston and Anders Greer, Katie Hall (Mike), Olivia and Sophie Greer, and Skylar Greer; sister Sue Greer, Yuma, AZ; nephews, Roy Wolf (DeeDee), Jim Wolf (Kim) and David Wolf (Janice), James Dwaine Winston, Jr. and a niece, Eugenia Winston-Blair; others relatives and many friends.

Scott Mize, 42, of Smithville, MO passed away, February 14, 2024.

He was born on May 26, 1981 in Smithville, MO where he grew up and attended school.

Scott worked for Northland Auto in Gladstone, MO. He enjoyed fishing, playing and coding games, wrenching on cars, and spending time with his family.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Donald Jones.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Jones; spouse, Mikayla Holiman; daughters, Aurora Mize, Alexis Mize, and Adriana Mize; sister, Sophia (Vince) Coleman; brothers, Bryan Burns Matt Ephland; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Caroline Ann (Miller) Harris, of Atchison, KS, passed peacefully on February 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Caroline was born the daughter of Leo and Dorothy Miller on December 18, 1945, in Wathena, KS, one of eight children. She attended Randolph School and graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy in 1963. She moved to Santa Monica, CA, where she married Michael J. Harris. They returned to Kansas after five years, settled in Atchison and raised their four children.

Caroline was a member of St. Benedict Parish, Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. Later, she attended St. Joseph Church, and she was a part of the weekly rosary group. She was an active parishioner and volunteered her time and talents at Sacred Heart Thrift Store to support Catholic schools.

Caroline started Backroad Atlas, a local home decorating store in 2015, with her oldest daughter. Backroad Atlas was a perfect place for her to display her talents in bargain hunting and furniture rehab. She was a very creative, talented and loving soul who found her greatest joy in her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children; Angela Harris-Spurlock; Mick Harris (Geri); Kelly Siebert (Jon); Charley Harris (Liz); and eleven grandchildren; four siblings, Ken Miller (Telly), Howard Miller, Mary Lea Krousa (Bill) and Margie Begley. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruthie Miller; and two brothers, Omer Miller and Morris Miller.

She was a very creative, talented and loving soul who found her greatest joy in her grandchildren.She is survived by her four children; Angela Harris-Spurlock; Mick Harris (Geri); Kelly Siebert (Jon); Charley Harris (Liz); and eleven grandchildren; four siblings, Ken Miller (Telly), Howard Miller, Mary Lea Krousa (Bill) and Margie Begley. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruthie Miller; and two brothers, Omer Miller and Morris Miller.<figure>

Robert Leroy Cleveland 62, of Ford, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in King City, MO. He was born June 3, 1961 in San Bernardino, CA, son of the late Juanita and Robert Cleveland. He graduated from Benton High School, 1979, and he served in the United States Army. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: daughter, Clover Cleveland, St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren: Haylee, Kinzlee, and Karston, friends, Barbara Fanning and Leroy Fanning, and cousins, Mona Bradley and Linda Huff.

The family will receive friends from &nbsp;1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday March 1, 2024 with Memorial Services starting 2:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Theodore "Ted" Hughes Sr. 65, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 in St. Joseph. He was born May 3, 1958 in St. Joseph, son of Elizabeth (Cooper) and Richard Ginn. Thedore attended Lafayette High School. On March 27, 1993 he married Lisa Dysart in Moberly, MO. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music, and he loved his house plants. 

Theodore was preceded in death by his daughter, Lakeshia Hughes, brother, Robert, sisters, Jenny, Darethia, Betty, Karen, Peaches, and Alice. Survivors include: his wife, Lisa Hughes of the home, his mother, Elizabeth Hughes, father, Richard Ginn, children, Airreanna, Doneshia, Shamika, Micha, Devontra, Dontane, Darrion, Nathaniel, Isaac, and Theodore "Ted" Jr., sisters, Brenda Wesley, Nancy Hughes, Gloria Cooper, Carolyn Hughes, Gayland Ginn, and Rosemary, brother, Johnny Hughes, 20 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Hughes has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home, where family will received friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday.
