E. Janice “Jan” Hill 89,of Clarksdale MO and formerly of Savannah, MO passed away June 6th, 2024 at her home. She was born October 21, 1934 to Rev. William “Billy” James &amp; Audra Gladys (Powers) Heriford in Union Star, MO. She married Arthur Hill in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1987.

Having worked as a Nursing Tech with Sisters Hospital and then Heartland Health she retired after 30 years. During those years she made many lifelong friends with fellow employees and patients she had cared for.

Jan never knew a stranger and was a beloved and very giving person. &nbsp;She spent a great deal of her life in caring for others. She cherished her grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed and appreciated the two very special young men that assisted her at home on a daily basis. She referred to them as “ her boys”.

She was a &nbsp;member of the First Baptist Church of Helena and played the piano for their church services. She was an active member of their WMU group and a devout Christian.&nbsp;

Survivors include her children, Pam (Frank) Hood of Land of Lakes, FL, Gary (Teresa) Campbell of Clarksdale, MO, Dave (Cindy) Campbell of St. Joseph,MO, Artye Young of Fulton, MO, Sharman (Pat) Day of Jefferson City, MO, and Eddie Hill of St. Joseph, MO; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, son Joseph Campbell, grandson Sean Young, and six siblings. &nbsp;

Theresa Ann Landers, 92, entered her heavenly home on June 7, 2024. She was born February 27, 1932, in St. Joseph, MO. She was the daughter of Helen (Kerner) and John Rau.&nbsp;

Theresa attended Saint Mary’s Elementary School and the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Saint Joseph. She worked for her family at Rau Floral &amp; Nursery greenhouses in St. Joseph. &nbsp;In 1966 she established Landers Flowers in Savannah, MO. Theresa continued the family tradition of creating beautiful flowers for many years.&nbsp;

Theresa married David A. Landers, and they celebrated over sixty-seven years of marriage before his death. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille Root, Elizabeth Cooper, and Mary Stubbs, brothers John C. Rau and Robert (Bill) Rau, and grandsons, Brad Arn and Don Worley. She is survived by sister, Barbara (Jim) Auxier, sister-in-law, Joyloise Rau, and her children, Janet Fite, Connie (John) Knorr, Theresa Lawrence, and David M. (Cathy) Landers all of Savannah. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Theresa is additionally survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, cousins, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.&nbsp;

Theresa was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Parish of Savannah. Rosary will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Breit Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah followed by visitation until 8:00 pm. Ivan Eugene Courtney, Sr., 86, of St. Joseph passed away on Thursday, June 06, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on March 22, 1938 in Milan, Mo, to the late Harvey and Mable (Bush) Courtney.

Ivan attended Lafayette High School in St. Joseph and later served his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

He married Evelyn C. Phillips on May 28, 1956 in St. Joseph, Mo. She preceded him in death in 2016 after celebrating 60 years of marriage.

In his younger years, Ivan had passions for riding motorcycles, working with his hands building things, flying remote control airplanes and fishing.

Ivan spent a 30 year &nbsp;career as an Iron Worker with Union Local #10. After his retirement, he became a Baptist Pastor at the Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a faithful donor to the Wounded Warriors, Noyes Home for Children and the St. Jude's and Shriner's Hospitals.&nbsp;

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Courtney was preceded in death by son; Ivan E. Courtney, Jr., and daughter; Rhonda C. Courtney-Perks.&nbsp;

Mr. Courtney is survived by his son; Mark A. (Rebecca) Courtney, and daughter; Deanna K. Courtney, and several grandchildren.

Jerry was born December 20, 1939 in Alanthus Grove, Missouri the son of John and Lula (Jennings) Boatwright.

He graduated from Stanberry High School in 1957. On October 12, 1957, he married Doretha Giffin at the Baptist Church in Alanthus Grove, MO. She survives of the home.

Jerry owned and operated Alldredge Feed and Grain in Stanberry for nearly 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the Stanberry Masonic Lodge #109 A.F. &amp;amp; A.M. and the St. Joseph Moila Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Leland, Marvin and Johnny Boatwright; 2 sisters, Verna Simmons and Ila Motzkus; grandson, Jared Boatwright and great-grandson, Dayun Boatwright.

He was born March 9, 1944, at Snokomo, KS, the son of William and Elsie Viola (McClellan) Fischer. He entered the U.S. Army in 1962 and served as a demolition specialist

Larry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Duluth.

He had worked as a machinist for Seymour Foods in Topeka and for Abbott Aluminum in Manhattan.

Larry married Faye E. (Valburg) Rodenbaugh on July 5, 1980 at Onaga. She survives, of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents a grandson, Ryan Wentworth, a brother, William Fischer, and a sister, Elsie Hatfield.

Other survivors include two sons, Larry D. Fischer, Jr., Centralia and Kevin D. Fischer, Topeka, two daughters, Deborah I. Stewartsville, Missouri…Opal was born on August 29, 1932 in Speed, KS to Lloyd Sr and Clara May (Swanson) Bushnell of Queen City, MO. She passed away June 6, 2024.

In 1938, Lloyd and Clara bought a farm five miles west of Queen City, MO, where they raised their family.&nbsp;Opal attended Satterfield Grade School and graduated from Queen City High School in 1949. She married her high school classmate and love of her life, Raymond Wieneke, on February 22, 1951. Their union was blessed with four children: Raymond Jr., Jennifer, Kathy, and Richard. Opal’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her gifts from God, and she always considered loving and caring for her family to be her life’s mission.

Opal is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Sr. and Clara, sister Lola (Bushnell) Musick and husband Ernest Musick, brother Lloyd Jr. and wife Louise, and sister-in-law Rosabel Bushnell. She was born on July 31, 1930 to Jessup Wade “JW” and Josephine (Culver) Elliott in St. Joseph, MO. She grew up in St. Joseph, Maryville, and Bethany. Virginia graduated from Bethany High School in 1948.On June 3, 1966 she was united in marriage to Jerry Bonnell. After their marriage they lived in Atchison, KS, Crystal River, Fl, and Trimble, MO where they made their home.&nbsp;

Virginia was a homemaker most of her life. She was always very involved in her children’s activities. Virginia was a member of the Stony Point Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. She was active in the Democratic Committee in Atchison. She loved to play bridge, work in her yard, and was a college football fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepdaughter, Joan Martin.

Sister Mary Teresa Morris, OSB, 72, a Benedictine sister of Mount St. Scholastica, Atchison, Kans., died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the monastery. 

The vigil service will be Friday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the monastery chapel, and the Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated there on Saturday, June 15, at 10:30 a.m.

A native of Kansas City, Kansas, she was born October 15, 1951, the only child of T. Harold and Helen Williams Morris. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and attended St. Margaret’s School of Nursing and Donnelly College before earning her B.S. in nursing from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master of Public Health degree from Saint Louis University.

A nurse since 1972 and a member of Mount St. Scholastica Monastery since 1978, Sister Mary Teresa served in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health settings. She specialized in caring for the poor, homebound, high-risk infants, and children with special needs, going above and beyond basic health care to minister to the whole person. During the pandemic, she provided infectious disease services at Dooley Center, the Mount’s licensed care facility. 

Not only a graduate but also a former instructor at Donnelly College, she was inducted into the college’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 2023.Sister Mary 

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents.

William "Bill" H. Martin Jr., 78, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He was born November 18, 1945 in St. Joseph, son of Katherine and William Martin. 

He graduated from Central High School, class of 1964. On September 10, 1976, he married Nancy Drake in St. Joseph. He retired from Burlington Northern Railroad and later worked for Johnson Controls and Spirit Miller. Bill loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and dogs. In 2007 he became an ordained Minister. He was a member of the Pentecostal's of St. Joseph Church where he enjoyed working with the Celebrate Recovery program. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Martin, brother, Walter Martin, sisters, Joyce Knadler, Elizabeth Best and Rosanne Gilbert. 

Survivors include wife, Nancy Martin of the home, children, Christi (Mike) Collins of Kansas City, MO, William (Jessica) Martin of Las Vegas, NV, Jamie Martin of St. Joseph, Joseph (Cassidy) Martin of Oregon, MO, and Joshua (Christina) Martin of Elwood, KS, 18 grandchildren, Lura, DJ, Carl, Tritt, Dakota, Christopher, Kody, Michael, Destiny, Hayleigh, Tyler, Emilea, Maddisyn, Kaydense, Aiden, Gabby, Emily, and Kailey, numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Fred Dean Coker 65, of St Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his home. He was born June 14, 1958 in St. Joseph, son of Nancy and Donald "Diz" Coker.

 He graduated from Central High School, class of 1976. Fred worked at Coker Siding for many years. He loved his dogs and playing scratch-off tickets. 

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Coker.

Patricia "Pat" Ann Evans 96, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 in St. Joseph, MO. health care center. She was born August 23, 1927 in El Dorado, KS, daughter of the late Flora and Andrew Lehr. 

Patricia graduated from El Dorado High School class of 1948 and married Rolland &nbsp;Evans on February 6, 1948 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Eldorado, KS. She worked as a certified dental assistant. Patricia was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, and the St. James Altar Society, and a former member of St. John the Evangelist in Eldorado, KS. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Rolland, her parents, brothers, Richard and William Lehr, sisters, Mary E. Eaton, Ruth Smith, and Judy Badwey. 

Survivors include daughter, Connie (Chris) Sandberg of St. &nbsp;Joseph, MO, sons, Gregory (Mary ) Evans, Las Vegas, NV, and Will (Lisa) Evans of Batavia, IL, 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a sister Joan Lewis, and a brother Jim (Eleanor) Lehr.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church, Father Joseph Totton Celebrant. Thomas "Tom" A. Rehm, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri; passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was born on August 1, 1932 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late Adam "Tony" and Catherine (Salanky) Rehm. &nbsp;He was a lifelong St. Joseph resident and a 1950 graduate of Christian Brothers High School.

Mr. Rehm served his country in the US Navy as an electronics technician from 1951-1955, during the Korean Conflict.

Tom married Helen Cobb on July 5, 1954 at St. Joseph Cathedral. &nbsp;They celebrated sixty-nine years of marriage.

Mr. &nbsp;Rehm retired from Pepsi-Cola after thirty-six years of dedicated service. &nbsp;He started as a route driver and spent his last fifteen years as branch manager.

Tom was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was a Third Degree and forty-nine year member of Knights of Columbus Council #571. &nbsp;He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid bowler and even &nbsp;bowled a perfect 300 game.

Tom is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; five children Charlie (Lisa) Rehm; Linda (Raymond) Karleskint; Julie (Randy) Moran; Mike (Cecelia) Rehm; and Stacy (Jeff) Stevens; &nbsp;seven grandchildren, Kyle Rehm, Ritchie Karleskint, Jennifer Karleskint, Jessica Harrington, Amy Patterson, Brittanie Harrington and Hanna Rehm and seventeen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Sr. Patricia Rehm.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. &nbsp;Interment Frazier #6 Cemetery.

Katherine Frances Harbison went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 5, 2024. Katherine was born on September 10, 1939.&nbsp;

She was the first born daughter of Charles Stevens and Agnes Ellsworth. She was the oldest of eight siblings. Katherine graduated from Lafayette high school in 1959. and married Albert William Harbison on June 21, 1959. She traveled the world with her husband and children while he was active duty army. She retired in 2001 from Central high school where she worked in the cafeteria. She was an active member of Maxwell Heights church, she was a member of the Order Eastern Stars, Savannah chapter 223 where she served as District Deputy Grand Matron in 2006, also membership in White Shrines, Beauceant, and Grand Cross of Colors. She also was very active with the Rainbow Girls.&nbsp;

Katherine gave her life in service to others and loved doing it.&nbsp;

On June 20, 2024 she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband one day prior to their 65th wedding anniversary.

Katherine is proceeded in death by her parents, her Husband, Bob Stevens (brother) and Henry Ellsworth (brother) &nbsp;&nbsp;

Katherine is survived by her siblings Wayne Stevens (Linda), Mary Hendrickson (Don), Elizabeth Current, Richard Ellsworth and Carolyn Ledford(Gary), her five children, Albert Harbison, Brenda Goodman (Dallas), Cheryl Leggans (James), Cristina Pickett (Brian), Charles Harbison. Her 12 grandchildren, Lyndi, Mindy, Tyler, Christie, Ashley, Laura, Joshua, Crystal, Kristen, Shyanne, Charissa and Marissa, her great grandchildren Nolan, Westin, Morgan Hayley, Brooks, Evelyn, Beckham, Dallis, Knox, Barrett, Nash,Vanidy and Mati. Her brother-in-law, Donald Walker and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

The family will recieve friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. At 3:00 PM, during the visitation, a brief Eastern Star tribute will be held.

Jerry Geneva McDowell went to be with her heavenly father on June 5, 2024 at the age of 73.

Born on March 23, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK to Vernon and Madean Graves (Cole), Jerry grew up in Englewood, CO. She married Teddy Dunn in 1969, who passed away (1972). She married Robin McDowell in1973 and moved to Savannah, MO in 1979. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time at her grandchildren’s activities.

Jerry lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for nature, crafting, writing and was proud to be a published author. She served as a CASA volunteer, and in her spare time studied Hebrew and enjoyed sewing.

She enjoyed family gatherings during the holidays and birthdays. She loved studying each grandchild's unique personality and gifts and connected to each one in her own way. She spent much of her time preceding holidays and birthdays making personalized gifts for her children and grandchildren to reflect their own uniqueness. She was always up for a good laugh at family gatherings. Jerry was an avid reader and was constantly researching chronic pain/suffering and autoimmune disorders as she experienced both for many years.&nbsp;

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents and Brother Rick Graves.&nbsp;

Jerry is survived by her former husband Robin McDowell, Brother Leonard Graves (Melinda) and David Graves (Debbie), sons Chris Dunn (Becky), Justin Dunn, Ryan McDowell (Anna), Eric McDowell (Hollie), fourteen grandchildren Daniel Dunn, James Dunn, Kellen Dunn, Tripp Dunn, Abigail McDowell, Genevieve McDowell, Ansley McDowell, Eddie McDowell, Eva McDowell, Ariana McDowell, Tucker McDowell, Raina McDowell, Chance McDowell, Elliana McDowell, and two great grandchildren.

He was born on October 24, 1938, to Lewis and Lila (Farquhar) Morehouse in Shambaugh, Iowa (Page County). At the age of three he moved with his family east of Hopkins, MO to a farm where he grew to manhood. He attended Maple Grove through the 8th grade, which was a one-room schoolhouse. He graduated from Hopkins High School with the class of 1957.

On June 5, 1970, Ed married Jessie Lou Lear. They were married for 54 wonderful years. They lived in Amazonia, MO until 1983 when they moved to St. Joseph.

He was a blue-collar man who worked for different companies such as Schreiber Mills, Krause Milling and the St. Joseph School District, retiring in 2000.

Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and supported them in any way possible. He cared deeply for his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Delora Pruitt, Darlene Weaver, Della Swaney and Maggie Fuller; and step-children, Dawnita Stanghoner and Charles Cox.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jessie Morehouse; adopted granddaughter, Shannan Morehouse, who he raised as his own; grandchildren, Ricardo Casem, Bentley Casem and Chelsie Conners; great-grandchildren, Orbus and Oliver Conners; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Melvin "Tobe" Dean Handley, age 94, of Onaga, Kansas, passed away at Eastridge Nursing Home on Monday, June 3, 2024. &nbsp;He was born on May 12, 1930, in Onaga, Kansas, to Evelyn Richmond Handley Novak and Bert Handley. &nbsp;Tobe was a lifelong resident of Onaga.

Tobe graduated from Onaga High School in 1948. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the Korean conflict and served in the Army stationed in Japan until 1952. Upon his return, he married Mary Jean Grim on November 29, 1953. Together, they had one daughter, Melinda Handley Fisher (Ramon) of Onaga.

Tobe dedicated 47 years of his professional life to the Kansas Power and Light Company, (Westar) (Evergy). &nbsp;Additionally, he was deeply committed to the Community Hospital Onaga, where he was first elected to the board on February 6,1976 and served as President/Chairman from 2001 to 2014. &nbsp;During his 38 years on the Board of directors he was a champion of rural health care and was involved in 3 renovations as well. &nbsp;He served on the Board of Directors or as Board President for over 30 years, championing rural health care.

An avid hunter, Tobe once owned over 38 trail hounds. &nbsp;He loved coyote and quail hunting and working bird dogs, and cherished fishing and hunting with his friends and grandsons. Known for his incredible memory, he loved to share humorous stories about life, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

He leaves behind a loving family, including grandchildren Dalton Blow (Kelsey) of Onaga, Dustin Blow (Megan) of Wheaton, Kassidy Fisher (Kameron) of Topeka, Zachary Fisher of Onaga (Baker University in Baldwin City), and Rayce Fisher of Onaga, two sisters-in-law, Cindy (Hank) Hays, of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Neva Handley, of Onaga. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Brynnlee and Baker (children of Dustin and Megan), of Wheaton.&nbsp;

Tobe was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Mary Jean Handley (Grim), three siblings, Dale "Tex" Handley, Phyliss Lewis Porter (John), and Judy Handley (Spurlock), and three half-siblings, Clarence “Bud” Handley, Gladys Gillenwater and Lucile Armstrong.&nbsp;

Tobe was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion and the First Congregational UCC Church of Onaga. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and numerous longtime friends whom he considered family.

The family wishes to offer sincere thanks to the numerous people who helped keep Tobe in his home until the last few weeks of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Eastridge Nursing Facility in Centralia, KS, as a token of gratitude for the amazing and compassionate care provided to Tobe.

Tobe's dedication to his community, his love for rural life, and his passion for family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. His stories and humor will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Celebration of life services with Masonic Rites and Military Honors will be held outside at the Onaga Cemetery on Saturday, June 15th at 10:30 a.m. &nbsp;The family will be available immediately following the service at the Onaga Community Center, where a luncheon will be served. &nbsp;There will be a register book available to sign from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, Monday through Friday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga.

Wanda S. Briggs, 76, Atchison, Kansas, passed away, Friday, May 31, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp;

There will be no services by request of Mrs. Briggs. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Wanda was born October 5, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Archie and Mary (Caliup) Ridings. She attended school in St. Joseph, graduating from Central High School in 1965. She later attended Hillyard Technical School for nursing and went on to work in the nursing field.&nbsp;

She and Israel A. Briggs were united in marriage on July 22, 1988, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mr. Briggs preceded her in death on April 6, 2017.&nbsp;

Survivors include children, James Briggs, Gordon Briggs, Janel Clay Bills, Danelle Briggs, and a daughter-in-law, MoaDonna Weston.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Lorne Weston.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Louis Good Intent Catholic Church with Fr. Hughes Sundeme as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.

He graduated from Huron High School. In 1956 he bought the family farm that had been in the family since 1868. Raymond served in the Army National Guard for ten years attending Staff Seargent 1st Class. He worked at LFM-Rockwell and Atchison Casting attaining the job as Industrial Electrician for thirty-nine years after he got his Master Contractor Electrical License and starting the Erpelding and Son Electrical Company with several employees for twenty-five years. Raymond trained roping horses and enjoyed riding and fishing. He and Jim Kahl did team roping in Nebraska, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. He was a member of the St. Louis Good Intent Catholic Church where he served on the Parish Council.

Raymond married Helen Frances Majewski on October 2, 1956, at St. Louis Good Intent Catholic Church. 

She preceded him on August 21, 2013. Survivors include three sons, Mark and Paula Erpelding, Freeburg, IL, Luke and Sarah Erpelding, Atchison, KS, Peter and Christy Erpelding, Atchison, KS, two daughters, Karen and Gary Reidmiller, Mulvane, KS, Donna and Mark Suddith, Augusta, KS, a sister Rose Schultz, Rogers, AK, nineteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren.

He was also preceded by his parents, a son Dennis Erpelding, one grandchild, two great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Gene Schultz.

Marilynn was born on April 26, 1949 in Stanberry, Missouri to the late Lloyd andMary Jo (Womach) Miller. She was a 1967 graduate of King City High School.

Marilynn married Chester LaVern Burks on June 12, 1970. She was a devoted wife,mother and grandmother.

Beyond devoting her life caring for her family, Marilynn also worked at AmericanFamily Insurance for numerous years.

Mrs. Burks was talented in arts and crafts, and enjoyed scrapbooking, needlepointand sewing. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and was adoting grandma.

Marilynn Burks 1949 - 2024

Carol Lawler Fairlie, 79, passed away on June 4, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri, after battling cancer for the past year.

She was born November 1, 1944, to James and Catherine Lawler in Kansas City, Missouri.&nbsp;

Carol married the love of her life, Thomas Fairlie, on August 15, 1964, and they shared 50 beautiful years together before Tom’s death in 2015.

Carol was an elementary teacher in the St. Joseph School District for 34 years. She cherished the relationships she built as a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Runcie Club, St. Joseph Retired Teachers, and Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church’s Side-by-Side group. She loved hosting family and friends for celebrations large and small.

Her family is grateful for the treasured memories she was able to create with her granddaughter Emma, especially over the past months while she lived in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Survivors: daughter, Kristen Smarr (Russell); son, Kevin Fairlie (Lauren); granddaughter Emma Fairlie; brother, James Lawler (Marcia); brother, Robert Lawler.

Carol lived life to the fullest and loved bright, happy colors. The family asks attendees to forgo traditional dark colored clothing at the farewell services in honor of Carol’s joyful spirit.
