Gerald Lawrence "Jerry" Reynolds, Faucett, Missouri, passed away on August 19, 2025, leaving behind his wife, Dianna and three children, Jerry Dewayne Reynolds, Amy Huffstutlar and David Reynolds.

Jerry, son of L.M. (Max) and Lolita (Judah) Reynolds, was born at the family farm near Faucett, May 19, 1943. He joined big sister Judy Gail and gained brother Karl five years later. His life on the farm, like most rural kids of that era, was helping his parents. The small stuff was gathering eggs, or helping mom in the garden. Later at five he had the excitement of “driving” the tractor, or rather steering it by himself while in low gear, pulling the hay wagon. Jerry and his brother Karl worked alongside their father and at his passing they continued on. Jerry joined the Faucett Christian Church as a teenager, where he sang in the choir with his mother. In high school he played football, basketball and was on the track team. Jerry graduated from Faucett High School in 1961 with his best friend John Finney. The stories they did tell. Jerry went to barber school in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduation, he barbered in St. Joseph. Jerry worked at Carnation and Co. Distribution Center in Elwood, Kansas, as a Ware-houseman, until their closing. He represented his fellow workers as Union Steward to Team-sters Local 460. Jerry retired from St. Joseph Packaging in 2002.

Jerry and Dianna Ridge married in 1967. After Amy and David were born the family moved to Faucett, adding their home to the family farm. As the kids grew up Jerry attended softball and hardball games, basketball, wrestling and track. He followed the Chiefs, swearing each year he had had it, but watched regardless. Jerry had favorite vacations sites that he visited. He loved Yellowstone National Park. He also enjoyed fishing on Lake Taneycomo, in Branson, Missouri, with his family. When health would allow him he would travel all the way to Rush Lake, Ottertail, Minnesota. His Rush Lake fishing friends were Dave, Stacy and Coleman Lawson, and Dave and Grant Schottel. His last trip to Rush Lake was June of 2025.

Preceded in death: his parents, Max and Lolita Reynolds. Father/mother in-law, Elton and Kathryn Ridge. Brothers in-law, John Schultz and David Ridge. Nephew, Todd Reynolds. Niece, Jeanne’ Reynolds.
