Nancy E. Frump, 81, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025.
She was born June 15, 1944 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Henry and Betty (Lisle) Drennen.
Nancy married Donald Eugene Frump on June 29, 1964.
She was a proud graduate of Lafayette High School. For over two decades, Nancy dedicated herself to aiding the learning and growth of children as a teacher's aide at Helen Davis. Her patience and gentle guidance left an indelible mark on the countless young lives she helped shape.
Nancy was affectionately dubbed "Fancy Nancy," a moniker that captured her elegant and spirited essence. She approached each day with a charming blend of grace and enthusiasm that was impossible to ignore. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of a trip down DD road to Dairy Queen, the tunes of Elvis Presley, and the joy of dancing. She was also a casino enthusiast.
Among Nancy's many passions, none was greater than her love for her family, especially her role as a grandmother. She celebrated and embraced every moment with her grandchildren. Nancy's combination of her favorite Winstons and coffee was a signature aspect of her leisure that her family fondly recalls.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Barber.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Donald; children, Deborah White (Terry), Diana Desroches (Gerard), Michelle Penny (Justin Norton), Gina Lewis (Brian), and Natalie Frump; grandchildren, Hunter, Haleigh, Shelby, Brett, Cooper, Emily, and Myleigh; siblings, Henry “Hotrod” Drennen, Cathy Conner, Karen Orosco, and Donna Dowdy; several great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
