Archie Louis Barnes, 85, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021.

Archie was born November 15, 1936 to Lottie and Sam Barnes.&nbsp; Archie married Lauretta Joyce Provolt May 18, 1954.&nbsp; They married young and were together for 60 years until her passing.

Archie enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels and coins as well as traveling.&nbsp; He worked at Wire Rope for 24 years and retired in 1999.&nbsp; Archie was a member of the Pentecostal faith and was a trained soul winner for God.

Survivors include daughter Holly Barnes; grandchildren Dalton and Nevaeh Barnes; son-in-law Jeremy Hays and multiple nieces and nephews.

Archie was preceded in death by parents Lottie and Sam Barnes; wife Lauretta Barnes; sisters Cloma, Ellen Barnes, Lucille Barnes Colley; brothers Raymond and Samuel Barnes; children Timothy and Melody Barnes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021 beginning at 5:00 pm, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.&nbsp; Memorial services will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

She was born March 23, 1967 in Streator, Il. She was Homemaker. 

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Vanda.

Judith Elaine Muff, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021.

She was born July 17, 1943 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Robert and Neoma (Bumphrey) Frizell.

Judith married Larry John Muff on February 1, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2020.

She was manager of the jewelry department at Montgomery Ward for many years.

In earlier years, Judith and Larry loved going fishing together. Judith loved to bowl and spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed hot chocolate, Pepsi, and watching game shows. She also loved getting her hair done at Lila’s, aka “Phyllis”, Salon in Union Star.

Judith was a Christian and had attended Community Presbyterian Church in St. Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; and son-in-law, Ronald Klein.

Survivors include daughter, Jody Klein; son, Jeffrey Muff (Tracy); grandchildren, Jacob Muff (Layla Sipes), Zackery Muff (Darian Davis), Landon Klein and Ashtyn Klein (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Levi, Paxtyn and Jace.

Ralph Edward "Eddie" Miller 95 of Country Club, MO, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at a local hospital.

He was born May 26, 1926 in St. Joseph to the late Ralph and Bessie Miller.

Eddie served in the U.S. Navy during and after&nbsp; World War II from 1944 to 1946.&nbsp;

He married Rosalie Thompson and they celebrated 53 years of marriage prior to her death.

He spent his career as a painter in the construction industry.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

In addition to his parents and wife, Eddie was preceded in death by two sisters.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born January 29, 1950 in Bacon, Sorsogon, Phillipines, and she has lived in St. Joseph for several years. She was a seamstress working for herself, and at SYR Scott Young Research. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, sewing, and spending with her grandchildren, who were her life. She was a catholic. 

Belen was preceded in death by her parents, Inocentes Ariate &amp; Carmon Doctor. 

She is survived by daughter, Sharon (Corey) Smith, Country Club, MO, son, Tony (Tristean) Housell, Pleasant Valley, MO, four grandsons: Allan Smith, Austin (Jasmine) Housell, Chase Furgison, and Jaden Housell, granddaughter, Phoebe Smith, great-granddaughter, Aria Housell, and step grandson, Brendon McElwain. She had several brothers and sisters including her twin brother. 

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will be cremated following the visitation under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.&nbsp;

Jerrol Keith Beckwith, 86, went to be with Jesus November 17, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born October 12, 1935, in Larned, the son of Carrol Kneeland and Hazel Carolyn Smith Beckwith.

A lifetime area resident, he was a banker, working in St. Joseph, 
Missouri, and Stafford, Liberal, and Lorraine, Kansas. He was a member 
of Encounter Church, Great Bend and was very civic-minded, serving on 
city councils, volunteer fire departments, and in the United States 
Navy.

On January 19, 1964, he married Oleta Louise Weaver at Larned; she survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Darren (Lisa) Beckwith, Ellinwood; 
daughter, Jill (Aaron) Sauer, Ellinwood; two brothers, Kim Monroe 
(Cheryl) Beckwith, Larned, Kevin Theodore (Suzanne) Beckwith, Perry; 
sister, Kathy Jo (Keith) Johnson, Pleasant Hill, IA; six grandchildren, 
Danielle Beckwith, Oklahoma City, OK, Darrien (Andy) Wiechman, Midland, 
TX, Delaney Meg Beckwith, Oklahoma City, OK, Mallory (Joe) Auer, Ethan 
Sauer, Madison Sauer, all of Ellinwood; and one great granddaughter, 
Lexi Auer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Carrol Kay 
Beckwith, and two sisters, Carolyn Annette Murphy and V. Clione Bieber.

Will Walker, AKA One Arm Willie, age 16 of Savannah, Missouri, was surrounded by family and the endless love &amp; support of his community when he won his battle with synovial sarcoma on November 15, 2021 at 8:49 AM.

A beloved son, brother and friend, Will went through so much in his nearly 8 years battling cancer with unwavering courage and always lived life to the fullest. From his Make-A-Wish trip of a lifetime to Hawaii, attending the Kansas City Chiefs’ winning Super Bowl Game, and deep sea fishing trips catching sea monsters, to being on the Ellen show, meeting David Dobrik &amp; the Vlog Squad in LA and riding in their Tesla through the Hollywood Hills, he made so many great memories. Will is truly a hero and an inspiration to so many. He graciously shared his journey like an open book for all the world to see, and along the way, touched and inspired countless followers all around the world. To know him was to love him. He will always be remembered for his sweet smile and his joyous laugh.

Will Walker, AKA One Arm Willie, age 16 of Savannah, Missouri, was surrounded by family and the endless love &amp; support of his community when he won his battle with synovial sarcoma on November 15, 2021 at 8:49 AM. A beloved son, brother and friend, Will went through so much in his nearly 8 years battling cancer with unwavering courage and always lived life to the fullest. From his Make-A-Wish trip of a lifetime to Hawaii, attending the Kansas City Chiefs’ winning Super Bowl Game, and deep sea fishing trips catching sea monsters, to being on the Ellen show, meeting David Dobrik &amp; the Vlog Squad in LA and riding in their Tesla through the Hollywood Hills, he made so many great memories. Will is truly a hero and an inspiration to so many. He graciously shared his journey like an open book for all the world to see, and along the way, touched and inspired countless followers all around the world. To know him was to love him. William “Bill” Sontheimer, 61, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021.

He was born October 11, 1960, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Roy and Susie (Bartlow) Sontheimer.

Bill was a graduate of Lafayette High School and later graduated from Missouri Western in 1995 where he obtained his bachelor’s degree. He enjoyed music, especially Dolly Parton, watching Lucille Ball and admired Marilyn Monroe. Bill loved family gatherings and was also the genealogy expert and caregiver of the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Clark; and niece, Jonna Rehm.

Survivors include brother, Tom Sontheimer (Cathy); nieces, Tracy Frye, Kelly Flattery (Jacob); nephews, Benji Sontheimer, Kevin Clark; and several great-nieces.

Gary Steven Nadolski, M.D., 66, Naples, Florida, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021.

He was born December 9, 1954 in St. Joseph to Adam and Norma (Rhoads) Nadolski.

Gary married Patricia Elizabeth (Fee) Nadolski on July 11, 1980. He was a Central High School graduate and received his undergraduate degree and Medical Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to his diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor and permanent medical disability, he worked as the medical director for Heartland Regional Medical Center, was a family practice physician and surgeon, and radio, television, and newspaper contributor.

Gary was a devout Catholic, a loving husband and father, and was happiest when with his grandchildren. Family and friends were his greatest joy. The practice of medicine was his passion and he enjoyed golfing, skiing, and hiking in the Colorado mountains.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia.

Survivors include daughters, Kristin A. Philips (Jason), Naples, Florida, and Lauren E. Nadolski, Naples, Florida; grandchildren, Princeton, Gabriella, Luke, and Annalise; brother, James A. Nadolski; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born July 13, 1941 in St. Joseph, daughter of Elizabeth and Herman Parsons. She attended Clarksdale High School, receiving her diploma in 1960. She married Jerry L. James on June 8, 1958 in Clarksdale, Missouri in a double wedding with her sister Marjorie and her late husband, Sonny. She worked at Parisoff's and later at the Community Blood Center. Jean Ann's hobbies included crafting, attending garage sales and playing bingo. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and King Hill Christian Church. 

Jean Ann was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Evelyn Mapel. 

Survivors include, husband of 63 years, Jerry L. James of St Joseph, children, Jerri Ann (Dennis) Daly of St. Joseph, Rhonda (Rob) Robertson of Gallatin, MO, Randall (Sue) James of St. Joseph, sister, Marjorie Leslie of St. Joseph, sister, Betty (Jim) McIntosh of St. Joseph, sister, Mary Kay Reid of St. Joseph, son-in-law, Robert Turner of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Brian and Aaron (Laura) Turner, Sara (Jeff) Roland, Jennifer Daly and Tanner James and 11 great-grandchildren.

&nbsp;&nbsp; Natalie Bradley Campbell passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at the age of 78.

She was born in Evanston, Illinois, to Shirley Wyeth Bradley and David Rall Bradley on Jan. 6, 1943. She and her identical twin (Meg Bradley) were a great surprise to their parents who were expecting a single baby. She was reared in St. Joseph where her father, David Rall Bradley Sr., was the Owner/Publisher of the St. Joseph News Press &amp; Gazette and her mother, Shirley Wyeth Bradley, was a community leader and strong advocate for public education.

Natalie completed her Bachelor’s Degree in political science at University of Wisconsin at Madison, Wisconsin, where she met her husband, Douglas Rae, with whom she reared three children in New Haven, Connecticut. She earned her Master’s in Social Work while her children were young and pursued a career as a psychiatric social worker in private practice.

After her retirement, she moved to New York City where she was a strong supporter of Planned Parenthood as well as many aspiring actors and small theaters. Her greatest passion was for the Art Students League of New York, where she learned to oil paint.

Her final years were spent at The Cedars of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she was a formidable bridge and cribbage player. She organized many groups and activities, including helping to lead a group for people with low-vision or blindness to get out and walk. She led the organization of writing and women’s groups, as well as a Welcome Committee.

Natalie is survived by her three children, Hugh Bradley Rae of Glen Rock, New Jersey, Katie Rae of Brookline, Massachusetts, and Kimberley Rae McFerron of Denver, Colorado, as well as 11 grandchildren. Her surviving siblings include her twin, Meg Bradley of Vero Beach, Florida, Henry (Hank) Bradley of Scottsdale, Arizona, and David Bradley, Jr. of St. Joseph. She will be missed by countless friends, bridge partners and bridge rivals.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at The Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill on Dec. 10, 2021. Family will then take her ashes to Central Park, in New York City, where her heart remained.

Melissa Baker, 54, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.

She was born August 12, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri to James and Judy (Crawford) Lovell.

Melissa married David Baker April 7, 1992. He survives of the home. She was an avid pet lover who loved to help pets and people in general. She was always rescuing dogs and giving them a home.

Melissa was preceded in death by son, Mark Lovell; parents; stepfather, Malcolm Morris.

Additional survivors include daughter, Crystal Mooney; grandchildren, Levi, Sabastian, Conner, Jaderianna, Mayson; siblings, Marian Stanley (James Stanton), Debra, James, Brian Lovell; Camille Gompf (Steve); numerous nieces and nephews.

Melissa Baker  1967 - 2021

Joshua Robert Oliver, 36, Agency, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021.

He was born in Kansas City, Mo. He lived in Kansas City until the age of 5. From the age of 5 years old onward he spent his life in St. Joseph, Missouri. As a young child he spent much of his time with his grandparents, Bob and Lorree Oliver. Josh idealized his grandpa and simply adored his grandma. At 12 years old when his grandfather passed away, he would spend most of his summer with his grandmother, Lorree, making sure that she was taken care of. Josh adored his family. To his mother, Tami, he was her rock. They shared an unbreakable bond as mother and son. To his sister, Jamie, he was her protector and friend. Josh was known by his friends as Oliver or Ollie. He attended Missouri Western University as a Phi Sigma Kappa. He was a charismatic bartender. He really enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. On Sunday fun days he created so many memories with his friends. Josh had found his new purpose in life in 2009 when his son, Maddox Lee was born. There was nothing more he wanted than to be a good father for his son. When Josh wasn’t watching Maddox playing sports, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle that he built.

Through many ventures, Josh had found his passions and dream career. He opened his own barbershop in downtown St. Joseph, MO. Bobree Barbershop was named after his beloved grandparents. He put his heart and soul into every inch of his shop.

Josh was full of life. He could light up the entire room with a smile that was never ending. His smile and his personality left a footprint on everyone’s hearts.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert F. and Lorree Oliver; aunt, Jane Ann Oliver; and cousin, Christopher Livingston.

Survivors include son, Maddox Lee Oliver; mother, Tami Claycomb and husband Rich Claycomb; sisters, Jamie Nichole Dinneen and Fiancé Aaron Christensen, Melinda Claycomb, Melanie and husband Opie Henggeler; niece Delanie Acklin; nephew, Lane Acklin; aunt and uncle, Dennis and Kathy Constable; cousins, Lorissa Constable and daughter, Jane Rawlinson, Jennifer Schmidt, husband Jake Schmidt, sons, Payton and Carter Schmidt; his girlfriend, Kimber Rucker and her children, Landon and Amara.

Joshua Robert Oliver 1985 - 2021

She was born July 13, 1941 in Clarksdale, MO, daughter of Elizabeth and Herman Parsons. She graduated from Clarksdale High School, class of 1960. She married Jerry James on June 8, 1958 in Clarksdale, Missouri in a double wedding with her sister Marjorie and her late husband, Sonny. She worked at Parisoff's and later at the Community Blood Center. Jean Ann's hobbies included crafting, attending garage sales and playing bingo. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and King Hill Christian Church. 

Survivors include, husband of 62 years, Jerry James of St Joseph, children, Jerri Ann (Dennis) Daly of St. Joseph, Ronda (Rob) Robertson of Gallatin, MO, Randall (Sue) James of St. Joseph, sister, Marjorie Leslie of St. Joseph, sister, Betty (Jim) McIntosh of St. Joseph, sister, Mary Kay Reid of St. Joseph, son-in-law, Robert Turner of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Brian and Aaron (Laura) Turner, Sara (Jeff) Rolland, Jennifer Daly, Tanner James and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jean Ann James, 80, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at a Wathena, KS health care facility. Bob Joel Branson (aka Sony), 65 of St. Joseph passed away Nov. 13th after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was born September 19, 1956, in Portsmouth, VA. to &nbsp;M.F. (Sonny) Branson and Jacquelyn R. (Handy) Branson.

He was lead carpenter for Clark &amp;&nbsp; Thomas Construction for the last 33 years.&nbsp;

Bob enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.&nbsp; He was an avid sports fan with KU, KC Chiefs, and Nascar, being his number ones!

He also made sure his stray cats, squirrels, and hummingbirds had plenty to eat.

Bob is survived by his wife Carrie (Miller) Branson; son Taylor R. Branson of the home; daughters Ashley Pearce (Gabe Holmes) and Hailey Pearce; grandchildren, Kaley, Liam, Adalyn, Brantley, Jacelyn, Kyler, and future granddaughter Sailor Ann.

He is also survived by mother Jacquelyn Duty; sisters, Sheree&nbsp; McCrea, Shawn (Randy)Stanton, Pam Branson, and Jessica Peltier; aunt Kara Wineinger, six nephews, three nieces, numerous cousins which include Cregg and Nancy Handy, Auburn, WA whom he considered as a brother and sister.

Bob was preceded in death by sister Kristine Cregut; brother-in-law Danny Cregut; and niece Tara Ontiveros; grandparents Joel and Violet Branson; Mildred and Harold Rupp; and Willard Handy.

Per Bob's request he has been cremated, there will be no services.&nbsp; He only wanted a Celebration of Life with close family and friends next spring.

We will miss our Lord of Lords, King of Kings!

He was born January 25, 1976 in St. Joseph to Joseph Charles and Alvina Lynn (McCush) Brunette.

Joseph married Cindy Cunningham on June 8, 2002. She survives of the home.

Joseph enjoyed hunting for deer, pheasant and turkey, as well as fishing. He was known for his sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Gregg R. Swardson, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.

He was born July 28, 1954, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Edward and Joeann (Shipman) Swardson.

Gregg married Martha Frances Bundridge December 23, 1977. She survives of the home.

He was a member of the Kansas City BBQ Society and also a judge at the American Royal. Gregg belonged to a team called the Crazy Bones BBQ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, BBQ, baking, cooking, he was an excellent painter and artist. Gregg was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed classic westerns. He would always do chalk drawings on the sidewalk with his great-grandchildren.

Gregg was preceded in death by his father; brother, Jeff Swardson; uncle, Raymond Swardson; grandparents, Ray and Pearl Swardson.

Chance Kristopher Kelley, 17, gained his wings Friday, November 12, 2021.

Chance was born November 29, 2003 in St. Joseph to Christopher Kelley and Amber Azzopardi.

Though his life was short, Chance made sure to enjoy every moment he had. Chance was an energetic and loving soul who was always looking to make others laugh, leaving his mark everywhere he went. Throughout his life, Chance enjoyed many things, including sports, hunting, his faith in the Lord, and spending time with family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are grandparents, Jack and Mary Krimmel; mother, Amber Azzopardi; sisters, Callista, Cassandra, and Celeste Kelley; foster parents, AJ and Lora Brisset; niece and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
