Helen Martha Black 99, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 in a Savannah, MO., health care center. She was born May 22, 1923 in Elmdale, MN, daughter of the late Mary and Stanley Maslowski.
She worked at Quaker Oats and was a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, polish cooking and polka music. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Helen was preceded in death by husband, Lonnie Black, parents, a son, Dennis Black, brothers, Walter, Henry, Vince, Louis and Albert Maslowski, sisters: Regina Sorenson, Stella Dombrowski, Berniece Dombrowski, Agnes Czech, and Gertrude Jarnot.
Survivors include, son, David (Jackie) Black, three grandchildren: Michael (Nickie) Black, Angie (Jay) Morris, and Kyle (Shea) Black, and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM on Friday December 9, 2022, with graveside services and interment at 2:30 pm Friday at the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Online condolence and obituary at ruppfuneral.com.
