Herbert Milton Shane Jr. 79, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 in St. Joseph. He was born November 14, 1943 in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of the late Narcissus & Herbert Shane.
He graduated from Benton High School, and he retired from the Military.
He enjoyed rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and singing and listening to music with friends and family.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Terrance and Andrew Shane, sisters, Wanda Bethea, Edna Shane, and Narcissus Jones, and son, Herbert "Herb" M Shane, III.
Survivors include: sons, Terrance (Stephanie) Shane, Kansas City, MO, and Isaac (Denise) Cheatam, North Carolina, daughter, Ianthia Howard, Kansas City, a brother, Harry Shane of VA, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
