Jerry Lee Long, 74, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

He was born July 30, 1948 to Billy Lee Long and Jeanne Vetter. Jerry joined the Navy in 1966 until his retirement in 2003 in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was married to Florence Long until her death in January of 2021.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father; mother; wife; sister, Cathy; brother, Steven Michael.

He is survived by three children, Toby Long, Tammy Long, Tonya Mercer (Scott); four grandchildren, Kennedy Long, Caitlin Hall (Brad), Michael Mercer, Jacob Mercer; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; siblings, Cindy Leonard, Linda Butler, Bill Long.

Jerry got to spend the last year of his life home with family who will truly miss him.

It is with heavy hearts we announce Mary Lou Boeh of Troy Kansas passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on September 25, 2022 at the age of 92.

Mary Lou was born on July 1, 1930 to Frank and Agnes (McGauhey) Stock in St Joseph Mo. She attended grade school at St Francis and then high school at Covent Sacred Heart in St Joseph, Mo. She graduated high school in 1948 and began working at Southwestern Bell.

In 1951, Mary Lou married Adrian Boeh of Troy Kansas. Adrian and Mary Lou moved to a farm east of Troy Kansas where they lived for 55 years while raising 10 children.

Mary Lou decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic, wonderful mother and grandmother. Her dedication to her family was unwavering often making three meals a day for 12 people. While she was an excellent cook for her family, she also grew beautiful gardens and did an enormous amount of canning. Mary Lou was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives and was always there with her children to help with newborns. She took regular visits across the U.S. to visit her children and grandchildren often.

Mary Lou was passionate about and loved to sew clothes and make outfits for her family. When not taking care of the family she enjoyed her bowling leagues, golf and playing cards. She also loved to travel. She was a member of the St Charles Catholic Church in Troy Kansas and also served on the Alter Society.

John William "Jay" Patton 1975 - 2022

Arlo W. Ericson, St. Joseph, Missouri, peacefully passed September 27, 2022 at the age of 94.

He was born January 26, 1928 in Union County, South Dakota to Milton E. Ericson and Margaret (Hamilton) Ericson.

Arlo graduated from Akron High School in Akron, Iowa. On January 26, 1946 he joined the United States Navy. After boot camp in San Diego, California, he was stationed at the Orote Naval Air Station on Guam. After his assignment on Guam, he joined the Naval Reserves.

Once back home he married Iola I. Menage on May 29, 1949 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He then enrolled at the University of South Dakota under the GI Bill and graduated three and a half years later with a BA in Accounting. While at USD, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpa fraternity.

Because of his membership in the Naval Reserves, Arlo was recalled to active duty during the Korean War conflict. He served for 16 months aboard the USS Whiteside AKA90, an attack cargo ship.

Arlo’s professional career took him from Sioux City, Iowa, to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Des Moines, Iowa, and then to St. Joseph, Missouri in August of 1964. He was Vice-President/General Manager of Casey Meyers Ford for fourteen years. He then purchased the local Toyota-AMC-Jeep dealership and was involved with it until November 1990. In April of 1979, he formed an automobile leasing and rental company. In addition, he bought and sold used cars.

In November 1990, Arlo purchased a business that contracted with the U.S. Postal Service to haul mail between St. Joseph and Kansas City. He and his son, Doug, operated this business for twenty-six years.

In 2014, Arlo and two partners formed a building salvage company that still exists today. Up until August of this year, he was actively involved in all bookkeeping aspects of the business.

Arlo was active in Cub Scouts and coaching boys basketball and youth softball. In St. Joseph, he was a patron member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a charter member of The Association of Accountants for St. Joseph, and a charter member of The Gold Coats Club at Missouri Western State College.

He was a Fifty-Year Member of Charity Zeredatha Lodge #189 AM &amp;FM and a Fifty-Year Member of Moila Shrine Temple. He was also a member of The American Legion since 1954.

Arlo was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Duane; and the love of his life, Iola.

He is survived by his son, Douglas, St. Joseph; daughter, Jane Edmunds(Eddy), Richardson, TX; daughter, Connie Whan (Bob), Perrin, TX; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Roger (Bess), Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews.

Mark Cornelius Gray, 64 years old, passed peacefully in his sleep on September 25, 2022 at his home in Blue Eye, Missouri, surrounded by loving friends and family after an extended battle with cancer. Mark never met a stranger and was a good, helpful friend to anyone in need and this is one of many characteristics that quickly comes to mind when we think of him.

Mark and his fraternal twin, Matthew, were born on August 18, 1958 to Joe and Anne Gray in St. Joseph, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his father; his wife: Cathy Gray, of the home, and her two daughters: Bridget Ann Clary, Leavenworth, Kansas and Daphne Clary, Overland Park, Kansas; children from a previous marriage to Naeko (Kinjo) Gray: Sky Gray of Overland Park, Kansas; Phoebe Holland (Derek) of Overland Park, Kansas and Kai Gray (Kayla) of Overland Park, Kansas, his two granddaughters, Penelope and Norah Holland and his siblings: Susan Mastio, Laramie, Wyoming; Reed Gray, Eugene, Oregon; Jo Anne Grey (Martin), St. Joseph, Missouri; Laura Dunn (RG) Liberty, Missouri; Paul Gray, Lorida, Florida; Matthew Gray, Columbia, Missouri; Pete Gray (Staci), St. Joseph, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews and his ever faithful companions: Ruger and Tikka.

Mark grew up and attended schools in St. Joseph, including graduating from Central High School in 1977. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, he was with the military for 20 years and served in various capacities, including recruiting at one point for the Army. The last fifteen years of his career has been selling air compressors, both with Quincy and Kaeser of Kansas City where in his last year of service, he sold over a million dollars in equipment.

Mark lived in several cities in Kansas: Emporia, Louisburg, and Hillsdale, before he and his wife, Cathy, built their beautiful log cabin-style home on Table Rock Lake where they have resided during their marriage. This was the perfect setting for the avid fisherman and outdoorsman that Mark Gray was. Those who loved him will deeply miss the random photos, texts and videos of wildlife, fish, birds and bird calls that he often sent. He had a knack for noticing all of the little things that everyone else overlooked and was always eager to share Mother Nature’s beauty.

Although he had no formal education of conservation, he was a wealth of knowledge and enjoyed imparting his experiences and wisdom with anyone who was interested. Being the outdoorsman that he was, he accumulated a fine collection of guns and rifles that he was very proud of and loved showing off and talking about. Before his health took a downturn, Mark recently had the opportunity to complete a one mile shot successfully in Oklahoma … this accomplishment brought him tremendous joy and satisfaction. Other hobbies included boating, pottery, birdwatching and spending time with their many friends at the lake.

In Mark’s memory and to honor his love of the outdoors, the family suggests memorials to the Missouri Conservation Department, 701 James McCarthy Drive, St. Joseph, MO 64507 or donor’s choice, in lieu of flowers.

He was born October 10, 1954 in St. Joseph to William and Marilyn (Kline) Gabbert.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Gabbert; and sister-in-law, Stephanie Gabbert.

Debra “Debbie” Spangler, 67, Clarinda, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. She was born April 4, 1955 in Estherville, Iowa to Warren Fink and Lois (Hanson) Zitterich.

Debra was blessed with three children; Shyloryne, William and infant son, Jeremy Michael. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. Karen was a Math and Science teacher for Maranatha Academy for 30+ years. Karen was a telephone operator for Advent Health (formerly Shawnee Mission Medical Center) for 25+ years.

Sue was born on May 3, 1926, in Hattieville, Arkansas to Grover and Nealie (Simon) Masingill. She graduated from Wonderview High School in Hattieville as the salutatorian of her class and was also a member of the Wonderview women’s basketball team. Sue was a graduate of the prestigious Dale Carnegie Business Course. Sue loved spending time with her family and watching KU Basketball and KC Chiefs football. Sue was member of the First Baptist Church in Atchison, where she served on many boards and committees. She was very proud that she served as a deacon in her church and taught the adult Sunday School Class for many years. Sue was also member of the Eastern Star. Sue was employed at Atchison Specialty for several years and later was employed at MGPI until she retired at the age of 69. Sue and James W. Kelley were married on November 9, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Atchison. Harold Leroy “Roy” Crist, 59, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Mosaic Life Care.

Roy, as everyone knew him, was born April 22, 1963, to Harold “Jim” and Shirley Crist. He grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Central High School in 1981. In 1983, he married Debbie Justus, the love of his life. Together they raised three sons who, along with his grandchildren, were his absolute pride and joy. If you knew Roy, you undoubtedly knew all about his children and grandchildren, and got to experience first-hand the huge smile that would spread across his face anytime he spoke of them.

Roy worked at St. Joe Beverage and in the beer distribution business for over 30 years. It was a job that enabled him to spend his day doing what he did best—laughing and talking with people and bringing joy to their day. Roy did not know a stranger.

Roy was an avid, lifelong fan of dirt track racing. He loved helping friends and his brother Joe with their race cars, then racing his own 222 Jr vintage car, and then later was the biggest fan and supporter of his son, Dustin, as he raced.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Shirley, stepfather Carroll Dabler, brothers Lonnie and Joe Crist, and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his loving wife Debbie, his three sons Jesse, Dustin (Heather), and Kyle (Brandi); brothers Randy Crist (Rachel), Jimmie Lee Crist; sisters Cherie Mason, Julie Lemmon, Linda Becerra, Patty Blair (Bill), Sheila Bringham (Roger), and Sheena Lane; grandchildren Alyssa, Keaton, Emma, Allie, Avery, Kayla, and Jaxon; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

She was born November 6, 1985 at Passavant Hospital, the daughter of Veronica Giel and Raymond Alan Wright. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty Kay Wright, Maurice Alan Wright, James C. Giel and Constance S. Bittner.

She is survived by her adoring husband, S. Rodman Schnell; her mother and father, Veronica and Raymond Wright; her sister, Ginny Milne, who is married to Colin Milne; and her much loved Nephew and Niece Jack and Violet Milne as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was a 2004 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and attended West Virginia University. She was a long-term member of Alpha Phi Omega. She loved all animals especially her cats and enjoyed marble hunting especially with her husband and nephew. Libby was one of the happiest people and made those in her life feel very loved. She will be greatly missed.

He was owner/operator of Royal Transmission shops in St. Joseph and Gladstone, Missouri for 30 years.

Dave enjoyed NASCAR, Chiefs games, hunting and spending time on the farm. He took great pride in coaching his children in sports as well as in racing.

He loved to spoil his granddaughters and was looking forward to the newest one’s arrival and engaging in their lively childhood adventures.

Dave was the life of the party and enjoyed making everyone laugh. His sharp wit, sense of humor, warm heart, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Hartman; brothers, Jimmy and Michael Hartman; and brother-in-law, Pat Garrett.

Donna Deann Colwell, 78, Joplin, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2022. All 3 of her children were by her side.

She was born to Eula Mae and Richard Deel on June 17, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA. Donna married Lawrence Thomas Colwell on August 6, 1960. Together they raised 3 children: Lawrence Alan, Deborah Anne and Robert Lee.

In December 1977, the family moved from West Covina, CA to Platte City, MO. In 1979, Donna started working in the title industry until she retired in 2011 to care for her husband, who passed away in 2012. In 2017, she relocated to Joplin, MO.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, several brothers and sisters-in-law. As well as aunts, uncles and extended family.

Donna is survived by her sister, Cindy Scheinfeld, her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and extensive family and friends.

James “Jim” R. Brown, 78, Faucett, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022.

He was born May 10, 1944 in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Kenneth and Pauline (Iman) Brown. He grew up on a farm near Arkansas City.

Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he saw combat duty and, sadly, contracted Agent Orange.

He was an operations manager for 47 years at Motorola, where he was most proud of arranging for cellphones for emergency personnel on 9/11 to the towers in New York.

Jim married Mildred “Kim” McCaulley on December 21, 1994. She survives of the home.

His had a great love for animals, nature, and weather. He was a licensed meteorologist and loved to watch storms roll in.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul J. Brown; beloved grandmother, Lizzie Iman; and uncle, Bill Iman.

Additional survivors include his children, Deanna Pike (Louie), Timothy Brown (Jackie), Mindy Sturgis (Johnny), Karen Mezzacasa, Michael Mezzacasa (Anji), and Jennifer Maher (Maurie); 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Diana Gibson (Tom); sisters-in-law, Patty Brown and Georgann Carter; and beloved cats, Billy and Roosevelt.

Troy, Kansas&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Barbara J. Speaks, 91, of Troy, Kansas passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at The Willow in Wathena, Kansas.

Barbara was born on April 15, 1931, in Hays, Kansas to Luddie “Clay” and Anna (Winder) Thomas.

Barbara married Grant Speaks on October 16, 1948, in Atchison, Kansas. They were married 74 years and lifelong residents of Troy. He survives of the home.

Barbara was a Switch Board Operator for the telephone company of Troy for a period of time and the Site Director at the Pioneer Center for 19 years and she was a member of the Northeast Aging Council for many years. She was also a member of the Troy Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, James Speaks, son-in-law, Gary Blanton and brother, Lowell Thomas.

Additional survivors, children, Linda Blanton, Highland, Kansas, Thomas (Anita) Speaks, Troy, Brenda (Larry), Turpin, Troy, Patricia (Keith) Ahlvers, Frankfort, and David Speaks, Troy., Sister-in-law, Rosalie Thomas Oelschlaeger.

Twelve grandchildren twenty-one great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara Jean Speaks 1931 - 2022

Garry Joe Newquist, 86, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. Garry was born in Cawker City, Kansas, to parents Frank Newquist and Ruth (Watson) Blide, on January 30, 1936. He married his high school sweetheart, Judy Donker, on February 15, 1958. They moved to Effingham, Kansas, where they raised three children. They were later divorced. During his lifetime, Garry was in several different lines of work. He was in sales and shipping at We-Mac Manufacturing in Atchison, he trained as an EMT and operated the ambulance service in Atchison for a time, and he served as a correctional officer at the state prison in Hutchinson. He was an excellent cook, specializing in barbeque ribs, brisket and pork. He catered numerous events and operated several restaurants over the years. As a life-long dog lover, he doted on his beloved schnauzers after retirement. He was an avid gardener and would end each season with truckloads of produce to share with family and friends. His skills as a craftsman resulted in beautiful furniture, cabinetry and other decorative wood objects. Garry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two stepsisters. Survivors include his three children, Tonnie (Joe) Furjanic, Bill (Glenda) Newquist, and Tammy Newquist (Dee Cameron); grandchildren Ryan and Rachel Newquist; step grandchildren Matt (Jen) Furjanic and Melanie (Dave) Ryan; three step great-grandchildren; and one stepsister. The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Becker Dyer Stanton Chapel, 800 Kansas Avenue, Atchison, Kansas. Lora Ellen (Corbet) Crowley, 92, passed away September 14, 2022 after a brief illness.

Lora Ellen was born November 2, 1929 to Clarence Corbet and Geraldine (Uhl) Corbet in St Joseph, MO.

Lora was a graduate of Lafayette H.S. (Lampion/Valedictorian, class of 47) and earned an Associate Degree from St. Joseph Jr. College.

Lora married Samuel E. Crowley October 15, 1955 at Zion Church. She was an active partner with him supporting farm, family and business activities. He preceded her in death August 19, 1991.

In her career Lora worked in the offices of Goetze-Niemer, Standard Oil, Zion Church, Midland Empire Regional Ministry (MERM), Sprague Construction, Grey Automotive and Zion Church. In the late 70’s she was awarded Secretary of the Year by Manpower. During the 80’s Farm Crisis she took the H&amp;R Block tax course and stayed with franchise preparing taxes for clients to last March, 39 years.

Lora was a dedicated lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ serving on the church council for many years. She was one of the “Quilting Ladies” making over 1200 prayer quilts for ill people over the last 20 years. She knew all things “Zion” and was usually the last one out the door on Sunday.

She was interested in family, friends and particularly what the “kids” were doing. She was a very active grandmother moving in with Tom and Matt in 1996 and only just now leaving.

Saturday, she told us “it was a good ride”. We all benefitted from knowing her.

Lora is survived by her children, Samuel C. Crowley Ph.D. (Beverly), and Sarah Swindler and Grandchildren Samuel T. “Tom” Crowley, Ph.D.(Kaitlin), Matthew J. Crowley, Pharm D., Molly Swindler, Casey Swindler (Taylor), Daniel Swindler (Kaitlyn), Gabe Swindler and Hannah Swindler. Lora is also survived by her sister-in-law Sandra L. Crowley and by her nieces Michelle Fitzpatrick, Martha L. Crowley, Ph.D. and her nephews Gerald T. Johnson and Stephen S. Crowley. Lora’s great grandchildren are Emmaline and Myla Swindler and Mason and Scarlett Swindler.

Lora was preceded in death by her husband Samuel E. Crowley, brothers Clarence Corbet Jr. and Hugh Loren Corbet.

Glenn Richard Farrow, 75, Corryton, Tennessee, passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Harry “Max” and Dorothy Farrow on April 9, 1947.

Glenn served in the United States Navy for 17 years, including service in the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 1668.

He married Delores “Dee” Henry on May 10, 1969. She survives of the home.

Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, trips by boat across a lake or sea, and following science fiction favorites Star Trek and Star Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul.

He is survived by his wife; children Don (Sarah), Richard (Mary), and Nancy (Rick); grandchildren Lacey, Chris, Josephine and Max; step grandchildren Andrew, Rachele, Dakota and Eli; great grandchildren Lydia, Alexander, Daxtin and DeDe; and step great grandchildren Noah, Levi and Halle; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born to George and Vernie (Isenhower) Shewmaker on November 25, 1927, in Cosby, Missouri.

Margaret married Gottfried Hirter on April 6, 1946. He precedes her in death.

She was a member of Cosby Zion United Methodist Church and the St. Joseph Swiss Lodge Ladies Edelweiss Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 74 years, Mickey; parents, George and Vernie; brothers, Dan, George, Jim and Bob; sister, Rachel; son, Mike Hirter; Son in law, Larry Schultz; and daughter in law Nickee Hirter.

Janice E. Hart,69, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. She was born June 3, 1953.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Adrianne; infant son; mother, Ann Roberts; brother, Michael Roberts; stepmother, Peggy Lemasters; stepbrother, Brian Roberts; four nephews and one niece.

She is survived by son, Christopher; grandson, Dylan Hart; sisters, Sherrill Roberts, Margaret Law, and Laura Roberts; stepsisters, Tina Hartley and Kimberly Smith; half-sisters, Rhonda Nida, Tamara Avalos, and Michelle Alexander; granddaughters, Emily and Baylee Bercegay; and seven great-grandchildren.

Janice attended Everett Elementary School from 1958-1967 and Central High School from 1967-1971.

She worked as a waitress at the Robidoux Hotel from 1968-1971 and was a homemaker and volunteered for EOC and Head Start from 1971-1986. She then worked for Stracener Electric from 1986-2004, staying on with Schultz &amp; Stracener Electric &amp; P1 Group until December 2014. Janice worked for Herner Construction from February 2014 until September 2022.

Janice E. Hart 1953 - 2022

Dolores E. (Whitesel) Nester, 86, of Conway, AR received her heavenly promotion on Sunday, September 11, 2022. She was born November 14, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late John Samuel and Dorothea Mae (Doolittle) Whitesel. She married Jerome Nester on October 31, 1952. They were seven weeks shy of reaching their 70th anniversary. She was predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Tracie Nelson, brothers John (Charlotte) Hambrick and Ron Whitesel, and brother-in-law Roger Hughes.

Dolores was a fabulous homemaker. She loved cooking, sewing, and caring for her family. She was known for her homemade rolls, delicious pies (especially gooseberry), tender pot roast, and creamy mac and cheese. She passed her love of cooking and baking to her three daughters. She loved playing games and working jigsaw puzzles. From Uno to Skipbo to Phase 10 to Wahoo, she was a fierce competitor and definitely preferred winning over losing. Dolores served previously in children’s Bible quizzing, visitation, prayer ministry, and was currently a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid supporter of Gideons International.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome, who faithfully cared for her, daughters Judith (Greg) McClure of Van Buren, AR, Rita (Reed) Nelson of St. Joseph, MO, and Karen (Tim) Evans of Alexander, AR; grandchildren Elizabeth (Matt) Hoskins, Joshua McClure, Josiah Evans, and Emma Evans; sister Janice Hughes, sister-in-law Kathy Whitesel, brother Don (Kathy) Whitesel, Aunt Betty Kirby, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the incredible staff of Hospice Home Care Inc. of Conway – especially nurse David and aide Micah. In addition, we are grateful to the medical staff who offered end of life care at Conway Regional ICU. We are grateful as well to wonderful neighbors who have shown care and concern so very well.

Dolores E. (Whitesel) Nester, 86, of Conway, AR received her heavenly promotion on Sunday, September 11, 2022. She was born November 14, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late John Samuel and Dorothea Mae (Doolittle) Whitesel. She married Jerome Nester on October 31, 1952. They were seven weeks shy of reaching their 70th anniversary. She was predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Tracie Nelson, brothers John (Charlotte) Hambrick and Ron Whitesel, and brother-in-law Roger Hughes.Dolores was a fabulous homemaker. She loved cooking, sewing, and caring for her family. She was known for her homemade rolls, delicious pies (especially gooseberry), tender pot roast, and creamy mac and cheese. She passed her love of cooking and baking to her three daughters. She loved playing games and working jigsaw puzzles. From Uno to Skipbo to Phase 10 to Wahoo, she was a fierce competitor and definitely preferred winning over losing. Dolores served previously in children’s Bible quizzing, visitation, prayer ministry, and was currently a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid supporter of Gideons International.She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome, who faithfully cared for her, daughters Judith (Greg) McClure of Van Buren, AR, Rita (Reed) Nelson of St. Joseph, MO, and Karen (Tim) Evans of Alexander, AR; grandchildren Elizabeth (Matt) Hoskins, Joshua McClure, Josiah Evans, and Emma Evans; sister Janice Hughes, sister-in-law Kathy Whitesel, brother Don (Kathy) Whitesel, Aunt Betty Kirby, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.The family wishes to thank the incredible staff of Hospice Home Care Inc. of Conway – especially nurse David and aide Micah. In addition, we are grateful to the medical staff who offered end of life care at Conway Regional ICU. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS, with Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Mary Jane worked at Atchison County Court House, Blair Milling, Steinlite Lab for eighteen years and in the office at Mall Towers, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with grandchildren, KU Basketball and her little dog Mickey. Mary Jane married Roy Kuhnert on May 2, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS, he preceded her on July 1, 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie and Tim Blohm, Atchison, KS, Janet and Darren Blakesley, Topeka, KS, a son, Robert and Laura Kuhnert, Rockford, MI, grandchildren, Courtney (Chris) Falk, Joey and Sami Blakesley, Sarah and Ryan Kuhnert, with one great grandchild on the way, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded by her parents and stepmother Edith Snodgrass, four brothers, Leonce, Melvin, Robert Besancon, and Martin “Bud” Emmerich and a granddaughter, Hannah Blakesley.

Judy was born on March 9, 1944, in Wathena, Kansas to Burnace and Nettie (Mc Collum) Moskau.&nbsp;

She worked as an executive secretary in banking for several years.&nbsp;

She married David Armstrong on December 28, 1962.&nbsp;&nbsp;He preceded her in death on September 8, 2011.&nbsp;&nbsp;Judy was also preceded by her parents, sisters, Patricia Armstrong and Norene Beyer.&nbsp;
