Mark S. Barnthson, 59, of Troy, Kansas, passed away at his home Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Mark was born on November 18, 1963, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Raymond E. and Dawn (Gillespie) Barnthson. He grew up in Troy, later lived in St. Joseph, Missouri for 25 years, then moved back to Troy in 2018. Mark worked as laborer for Hillshire Foods in St. Joseph.
He was a kind-hearted, helpful man. Mark was a Chiefs fan. He and his brother Gordon enjoyed playing croquet on weekends. He and Theresa also enjoyed attending the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs, Kansas and leisurely drives in the country ending up at a Taco Bell restaurant.
Mark married Theresa Taylor June 25, 2013, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She survives of the home. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Linda Masters (Rich Vertin) of Troy, Kansas
Brother-in-law, Charlie Taylor (Gail) of Burns, Wyoming
Special aunt, Carol Barnthson of Troy, Kansas
Aunts and uncles from Louisiana and
6 step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Mark’s wishes were to be cremated. Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas in charge of arrangements. There will be no services or visitation.
