Brian Hughes, 66, a life-long resident of St. Joseph, Mo died at his home on July 8, 2024.

Brian was born on June 1, 1958 in St. Joseph to Bill and Awyn Hughes. He graduated from Central High School in 1976.

Brian and his father operated Hughes Mobile Home Service for many of his working years.

Brian was very handy and worked for Wilbert Vault Company and eventually retired from the Missouri Western State University maintenance team.

Brian was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with his sons. He lived for hosting his family and friends for happy hour on his tree-lined acreage, which he was very proud of.

Brian is survived by his two sons, Gregory (Robin) and Scott, and their mother, Jane Hughes; his sister, Brenda (Avery) Murray; grandson Owen Hughes and granddaughter Natalie Hughes.

He is preceded in death by his father Bill Hughes and mother Awyn Hughes.

Greg and Scott would especially like to thank Jane Hughes, caretaker Damon Bleazard, neighbors Stan and Donita Sunderland, Danny Coker, and Freudenthal Hospice for helping to support Brian.

She was born July 25, 1965 in St. Joseph, Missouri to James and Gladys (Tracy) McCallan.

Elizabeth married Mark Eugene Graf on October 19, 1996. He survives of the home.

She was a wonderful cook, with her peanut butter fudge being a family favorite. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and Amish stores, and collected dolls and clowns.

Elizabeth was a member of New Life Church in Mound City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her father, James; and her son, William.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Mark; children, Jordan and Steven; mother, Gladys; siblings, Nancy Sutton (Billy), Jim McCallan (Jenny), Angie Gamache (Andy), John McCcallan (Jane); extended family and friends.

Mark Snyder, 45, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away after nearly a two-year battle with cancer on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

He was born on March 26, 1979, to Dennis and Jane (Hyder) Snyder in St. Joseph, Missouri.

He graduated from Savannah High School in 1997. During high school he was an active member of the FFA and the varsity basketball team. He was also a member of the Savannah First Christian Church.

Mark was an only child who was deeply loved, and sometimes spoiled, by his devoted parents.

Mark had a love of racing that started back in his childhood when he would race go-karts with his family. He attended the Knoxville Nationals for 39 years straight. This passion continued into his adult life and expanded to racing sprint cars and modifieds at Savannah Speedway. Mark eventually became a partner for Porter Racing.

He was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy in duck and deer hunting and fishing. He was also a sports fan with a particular fondness for the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Nascar races.

Mark’s greatest love in life was his longtime partner, Ryann Owens, who survives of the home. For 20 years, they shared countless adventures and treasured memories together. His favorite vacation destinations were Florida and Colorado.

He worked for Anderson Ford as a service manager for 20 years, where he made many friends and connections with the people he helped to serve.

After his cancer diagnosis, Mark sought treatment at KU Medical Center. He greatly appreciated the staff and special nurses there who cared for him and treated him like family. His loved ones wish to express their gratitude to the dedicated staff at KU for their loving kindness and care that was given to Mark during his treatment.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis Hyder and Gladys Greenawalt, and his paternal grandparents, Bill and Norma “Tillie” Snyder.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Jane Snyder; his devoted partner, Ryann Owens; his aunts, Debra Snyder and Judy Carter (Steve); first cousins, Michael Ditamore and Stephen Ditamore (Maribeth); his beloved dogs, Rico, Boss and Leo; and many extended friends and family members that will cherish their memories of Mark.

Franklin Delnor Rosevelt Hess, 91, Amazonia, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Franklin was born August 1, 1932, to Tom and Mable Hess of St. Joseph, Missouri.

On April 22, 1950, he married the love of his life, Hester C. Smither, and she still remains of the home.

For most of his life, he was self-employed doing what he loved, being a mechanic and working with his dump truck, his John Deere tractors, backhoe, and working in the garden.

He spent many years being an evangelist and was an independent preacher. He loved playing his guitar and singing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mable Hess; his daughter, Shelia; his son, Craig; and six siblings.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia Stull (Bill) of Elwood, KS; his sons, Steve Hess Sr. (Chris) of Amazonia, MO and Tim Hess (Pam) of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Steve Hess Jr. (Tabatha) of Plattsburg, MO; Shannon Hess (Jennifer) of Amazonia, MO; Sharlene McMillian (Jimmy) of Plattsburg, MO; Seth Hess (Amber) of Amazonia, MO; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other extended family.

Ronald Edmond Lathrop, Sr. went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, July 3, 2024 surrounded by friends and family.

Ron Lathrop was born on February 20, 1943 to parents Dale Edmund and Lillian Marie Lathrop of Saint Joseph, Missouri and had two sisters, Janice Lathrop and Marylin Brown.

Ron graduated from Central High School in 1961, and then in 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Doris Marie Steph. He then enlisted in the Marines, where he served in Vietnam and was then stationed in Cherry Point, North Carolina from 1966 to 1970, ending his service there with the rank of sergeant.

Returning to Saint Joseph, Ron and Doris had two children, Ronald “Ronnie” Lathrop Jr. and Heather Chowning. Ron graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1971 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Programming. Working for Safeway and then Food Barn, Ron retired from the grocery business after 30 years of service and then served as a rural mail carrier for Easton, Missouri for another 20 years.

Ron served in many capacities in several churches throughout his life in New Bern, North Carolina, and Saint Joseph. He was a Sunday School teacher, deacon, church board member, choir member and even custodian. His passion as a Christian was serving others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marylin Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Lathrop; son, Ronnie Lathrop (Jeff Vincent); daughter, Heather Chowning (Michael); sister, Janice Lathrop; and grandchildren, James and Emily Chowning, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Everyone who met Ron, loved him. With every dad joke you hear that makes you roll your eyes, with every hardy laugh you catch behind you while eating at Texas Roadhouse, with every Royals win you witness, and with every war movie you accidentally catch on TMC, you’ll remember Ron.

Joshua Isaiah Banks, 33, Elwood, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

He was born June 26, 1991 in St. Joseph to Lashel Carpentier and Luther Banks.

Joshua was a very kind-hearted person who would do whatever he could to help others. He loved his family, especially his mother and brother.

He enjoyed watching the Chiefs and playing basketball.

Joshua was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Vearl Webb and Juanita Webb; grandparents, Nita Carpentier, Richard Carpentier, Anna Banks, and Finest Banks; and aunt, Stephany Carpentier.

Survivors include his mother, Lashel Carpentier (Joseph), brother, Christian “C.J.” Banks; aunts and uncles, Jamie Carpentier, Kristian Boydston (Randy), Elizabeth McGuire (Bill), Bryan Liechti (Nicky), and Bonnie White; and numerous cousins.

James Howard Jackson, SewWishKno, 70, of Mayetta, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his home on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation.

He was born September 11, 1953 in Oklahoma City, the son of Robert and Lorene Alexander Jackson.

James was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the Drum Religion. &nbsp;He had served on the Tribal Council from 1996 to 2000.

He worked in construction in the Jackson and Shawnee County area, doing dry wall finishing and all other types of construction.

He married Judy Faith Carlisle on February 5, 1975. &nbsp;She survives, of the home.

James was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Justina “Tommie” Jackson, a granddaughter, Yolanda Solis, two brothers, Mike Jackson and Johnny Jackson, and two sisters, Linda Jackson and Roberta Jackson.

Other survivors include his adopted father, Ed Potts, Mayetta, two sons, Jason Jackson (Lindsey) and Justin Jackson (Stephanie), all of Topeka, two daughters, Jennifer Jackson, Mayetta and Felicia Brown, Denver, CO, four sisters, Evelyn Seymour, Lucy Jackson and Janice Jackson, all of Topeka, and Beverly Goslin (Doug), Mayetta, an adopted brother, Benny Potts, Mayetta, two adopted sisters, Judith Wabaunsee, Topeka and Rose Hale, Mayetta, fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Drum Service and Wake will be held Thursday evening at the Dance Ground Building on the Potawatomi Reservation. &nbsp;Burial will be Friday afternoon in Matwe-Shobney Cemetery. &nbsp;James will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt.

James Howard Jackson 1953 - 2024

Seneca KS………….Dion Rogers, 60 years old, died July 4, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka surrounded by family.

Dion was born October 21, 1963, IN Conroe, Texas, born to Marvin and Glenda Blalock Rogers. &nbsp;He grew up in Conroe where he attended school. &nbsp;Dion was no stranger to work as he started working at the Dairy Queen in Conroe at the age of 13. &nbsp;&nbsp;

He later worked as an electrician for twenty years before moving to Seneca in 2004 where he worked as an edger machinist for Koch &amp; Company wood cabinetry until falling ill and unable to work. &nbsp;He also worked at Casey’s General Store in Seneca for about six years while at Koch &amp; Co.&nbsp;

Dion married Cindy Simpson, June 9, 1981. &nbsp;They have been married 43 years where they have made Seneca their home. &nbsp;She survives.

He is also survived by a daughter Stephani Rogers McGehee (Carlos) of Seneca, a son T.J. Alfrey of Georgia; a brother Tony Kelley (Becky) of Livingston, Texas, grandchildren: &nbsp;Katie &amp; Nicky, Savanah, MaKenzie, Ethan, Eli, Jayson, Brianca, with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. &nbsp;Also surviving are his in laws Dorsey and Sandy Simpson OF White Cloud, KS, and his best friend David Rhodes of San Diego, CA. &nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lisa Blalock, and grandson Blaine Keegan Alfrey. &nbsp;

Cremation is planned with memorial services pending and to be announced in the coming days.

Seneca KS………….Dion Rogers, 60 years old, died July 4, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka surrounded by family.Dion was born October 21, 1963, IN Conroe, Texas, born to Marvin and Glenda Blalock Rogers. &nbsp;He grew up in Conroe where he attended school. &nbsp;Dion was no stranger to work as he started working at the Dairy Queen in Conroe at the age of 13. &nbsp;&nbsp;He later worked as an electrician for twenty years before moving to Seneca in 2004 where he worked as an edger machinist for Koch &amp; Company wood cabinetry until falling ill and unable to work. &nbsp;He also worked at Casey’s General Store in Seneca for about six years while at Koch &amp; Co.&nbsp;Dion married Cindy Simpson, June 9, 1981. &nbsp;They have been married 43 years where they have made Seneca their home. &nbsp;She survives.He is also survived by a daughter Stephani Rogers McGehee (Carlos) of Seneca, a son T.J. Alfrey of Georgia; a brother Tony Kelley (Becky) of Livingston, Texas, grandchildren: &nbsp;Katie &amp; Nicky, Savanah, MaKenzie, Ethan, Eli, Jayson, Brianca, with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. &nbsp;Also surviving are his in laws Dorsey and Sandy Simpson OF White Cloud, KS, and his best friend David Rhodes of San Diego, CA. &nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lisa Blalock, and grandson Blaine Keegan Alfrey. &nbsp;Cremation is planned with memorial services pending and to be announced in the coming days.<figure>

Robert “Wayne” Sutherland, 73, of Hiawatha, was born August 8, 1950 in the Horton Hospital in Horton, Kansas, one of six children born to Orville and June Gardiner Sutherland. &nbsp;He died July 2, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.

Wayne was how he was known to family and friends, lived in Everest, Kansas until 1959 when the family moved to Highland, Kansas. &nbsp;Wayne graduated from Highland High School with the class of 1968. &nbsp;He worked for his father in the newspaper/print shop and attended Highland Junior Community College for a year.

Wayne went on active duty in the Navy in 1969 and served on a supply ship (USS Niagara Falls) supplying the ships stationed in Vietnam with food and ammunition to Cam Ran Vietnam.

His greatest memory was when he was on watch and saw something in the ocean. &nbsp;His commander told him to keep an eye on it. &nbsp;The item turned out to be a distressed boat. &nbsp;They were able to save 3 people &nbsp;that have been missing for a month.

Wayne attended area Vo Tech in Atchison for offset printing where he graduated and continued to work in the printing business. &nbsp;

He married Susan Ernst in 1975. &nbsp;He graduated from Pitt State in 1978 with a degree in Vo Tec Education. &nbsp;He and his wife moved to Kansas City where he continued working in various print shops. &nbsp;He bought and ran an offset printing company for several years before coming back to NE Kansas to take over some printing operations from his father prior to working and retiring from the Green Acres/St. Joseph Newspress.

Wayne loved the KC Royals and no matter what their record was. &nbsp;He spent his retirement spinning records and listing them on EBay.

He is survived by his wife Sue, daughter Renee (Mike), sister DeeAnn, brothers: &nbsp;Mark Sutherland, Jim Sutherland, grandson Rayson (Katie) Johnson, granddaughter Sadie Roberson, with many nieces, nephews and great-grandkids.&nbsp; Also surviving is a sister-in-law Vicki Sutherland.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alan Sutherland and Glenn Sutherland.

Cremation is planned Celebration of Wayne’s life at 1:30 p.m. July 14, 2024 at the Carwell Building at the Brown County Ag Museum and Windmill Lane on East Iowa Street, Hiawatha. To honor Wayne’s love for the Royals, please wear Royals attire or colors.

Robert D Sill, born July 5, 1936, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospice House with his loving children by his side. He was 87 years old.

Robert (Bob) was born in Boone, IA to the late Cleo N. and Andrea M. (Chastel) Sill. He grew up in Boone, Long Island, NY and settled in St. Joseph, MO where he married Lola E. (Hoffmann) Sill and raised his family. He was preceded in death by his five siblings, Gerald, Betty Rein, Doris Bower, Cleo and Kenneth whom he has been reunited with in heaven, he was a Christian.

Bob enlisted in the United States Army in 1955 to serve his country during the Korean War era and was honorably discharged. He was very humble about being a veteran.

He worked at BNSF railroad as a switchman for 36 years. When he retired, he moved to Henderson, NV where he lived until 2020, when his health required him to move back to Kansas City, Missouri to be closer to family.

He will be lovingly missed by his children; Felecia M. Diggs, James D. Sill, Timothy W. (Amy) Sill, and Craig C. Sill, his grandchildren; Brandalyn Morris, Britney Sill, Paige Sill, Colin Kinnick, Zachary Sill, Benjamin Sill, and his great-grandchildren; Gunnery Drake and Dorian Sill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families as well as friends in Henderson, NV as well as at Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community.

The family would like to thank North Kansas City Hospital ICU, Cardiac Unit and Hospice House for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to either St Jude’s or Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Anna Pearl Goodpaster Cox, 86, of Weston, MO passed away July 7, 2024

She was born on April 4, 1938, to Morgan Daily and Violet Dawn (Galbreath) Goodpaster in Marion, Indiana where she grew up and graduated from Marion High School. She then served her country in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1961. Anna Pearl received her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree from St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, KS.

On November 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to Rev. John Cox. After their marriage they lived in Weston, MO. Rev. John Cox passed away in 1967. Anna continued to make her home in Weston.

Anna Pearl retired as a drug and alcohol counselor from Ft. Leavenworth Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. She loved all God’s creatures large and small and enjoyed mushroom hunting, taking walks and just being in nature. Anna Pearl enjoyed being around and helping people and caring for them. Most of all, she loved being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John Cox; her parents Morgan and Violet Goodpaster; her brothers Michael Goodpaster and David Goodpaster; her nephews Jason Goodpaster and Zachariah Crawford; and her nieces Madawna Greer and Shelley Goodpaster.

Anna Pearl is survived by her sisters Charlene Bishop, Billie Jean Lovelady, and Becky O’Connor; brother J.B. Goodpaster; nieces and nephews Jeanie Lovelady, Jan Dunkel, Jennifer Piette, Leann Downing, Walter Bishop, Florence Schimmel, Tatiana Crawford, Shawn O’Connor, Timmothy O’Connor, Julie Goodpaster, Brenda Rhodes, and Karry Goodpaster; several great- nieces and great- nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was born on June 25, 1958, to Covel E and Frances Lee (Cummings) Helms in Cameron, MO where she grew up and in 1976, she graduated from Cameron High School.

On February 14, 1991, she was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Kemmer. After their marriage they lived in Easton where they made their home.

Debbie worked for Sherwood Medical, Lee Manufacturing Company and Scott Young Research all in St. Jospeh, MO. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and watching birds. Debbie loved being a wife, mom and especially loved being a Nana to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Covel and Frances Helms; her brother Steve Helms and her sister Sharon Wilson.

Debbie is survived by her husband Chuck Kemmer; her children Mark Sterling and wife Kaycee and LeeAnne Wyckoff and husband Seth; grandchildren Paisley and Brystol; sisters Linda (Bob) Schermerhorn, Beverly (Robert) Wattenbarger, Karen Gann, Evelyn (Lynn) Banks and Brenda (Steve) Lee; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jerry West, 85, of Smithville, MO passed away, July 5, 2024.

He was born on September 12, 1938 to John Charles and Opal Grace (Waters) West near Edgerton, MO. Jerry graduated from Gower High School.

On August 22, 1981 he married Jane Moore. After their marriage they lived in Trimble and made their home in Smithville. His wife, Jane, preceded him in death on April 24, 2021.

Jerry worked for T.L. Wilkerson Farms and retired from Farmland after 30 plus years.

He was a member of the Trimble Baptist Church. Jerry enjoyed cruising the streets, playing cards, bingo, and was a sports fanatic. When he was younger, he was a member of the Dearborn Saddle Club and enjoyed horse shows and riding. Jerry loved being around people.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Karen West.

Jerry is survived by his children Barbara Lamb and Keith (Jude) Bruce; grandchildren Calen (Heather) Lamb, Allison Lamb, Kellie (Terry) Scoggins, Dennis Oberfoell, Nick Oberfoell and Elyse Oberfoell; great-grandchildren Rylee, Gunnar, Eli, MaKenna, Brynlee, Tre, and Karson; siblings, Charlie West, Larry West, Pete (Nancy) West, Kay (Ron) Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She later graduated as part of the first class to graduate in the Stormont-Vail School of Nursing in 1950 and helped start the school nursing program in the Atchison County Community school district in 1966. She retired as a registered nurse and enjoyed traveling, sewing and helping at church with various projects.

She was married to Dale R. Bodenhausen, her high school sweetheart on December 31, 1950, in Horton, KS. Dale preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 2013. Survivors include two sons: Steven Bodenhausen, Horton, KS, and Mark Bodenhausen, Muscotah, KS, a daughter in law, Linda Bodenhausen, Muscotah, KS, three grandchildren Christopher (Megan) Bodenhausen, Muscotah, Ryan (Kayla) Bodenhausen, Muscotah and Jeni (Bob) Hespe, Overland Park, KS, great grandchildren, Caleb and Natalie Bodenhausen, Brinley and Bryer Bodenhausen, Tommy and Luke Hespe. Randall "Randy" Kieser Sr. 68, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 in St. Joseph. He was born March 26, 1956 in St. Joseph, son of late Juanita and Lawrence Kieser. 

He graduated from Elwood High School, and worked at Blue Side for 31 years. Randy enjoyed camping at Table Rock Lake, riding on the boat and golf cart, fishing, and loved playing the saxophone. And he did it all with his best friend, Steve right beside him. 

Randall was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Darla &nbsp;Kieser. 

Survivors include: children, Randy Kieser Jr., John Kieser, Brad Kieser, Jennifer (Eddie Burdette Jr.) Kieser, Rushville, MO, Jessica Hays, Amanda Hays, Elizabeth (Brandon) Huffman, and Robert "Boo" &nbsp;Hays-Kieser, sisters, Debbie (Terry) Brown-Meek, and Cindy Brooks, brothers, Robert Kieser, Mike Kieser all of St. Joseph, MO, Tim (Kelly) Kieser of Elwood, KS, and Kevin (Lisa) Kieser of St. Joseph, MO, 14 grandkids, and best friend, Steve Sherlock.

Robert "Bobby" Trump 59, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 in a St. Joseph, MO health care center. He was born August 24, 1964 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Elinor and Joseph Trump. 

He graduated from Central High School, class of 1982. He worked at Lifeline Foods as a Elevator Operator. Bobby enjoyed fishing, camping, he loved music and playing his guitar, he also loved working on things and was a fixer of many things. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Clinton Potter, and grandson Jameson Trump. On June 19, 1998, Bobby married Lisa (Potter) Trump and their families were united as one. 

She survives him of the home, and other survivors include their children, Dustin (Megan) Trump, Julie (Patrick) King, Jeff (Heather) Trump, Michael (Brandy) Miller, and Jessica Walker all of St. Joseph, MO, sisters, Ceclia Till, JoAnn Jackson, Karen Trump, Mona Dike, Margery Milbourn, Nancy Browning, and Camille Mondoux, a brother, Danny Trump, grandchildren, Jacob, Hadley, Jace, Jima, Jazimen, Paiden, Piper, Paizley Declan, Collin, Delaney, and Oaklyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, Keith Potter, Kenny Potter, Karl Potter, and Kirk Potter, sister-in-law, Lori Walker, and mother-in-law, Louise S. Robert "Bobby" Dale Trump 1964 - 2024

Raymond Edward Cline, 78, of Niangua MO, formally of Helena and St. Joseph, MO, returned home to his heavenly father on July 1st, 2024, while surrounded by his family.

Raymond was born at home October 18th, 1945 to Morris and Birdie (DeWeese) Cline in Dekalb, MO. They preceded him in death.&nbsp;

Raymond found love with Charlotte Frost. They were married on February 14th, 1993, in Weston, MO. She survives him of the home.&nbsp;

Raymond moved from Dekalb to the family farm in Helena, MO, in the 4th grade. He spent many years learning hard work on the farm but focused his free time on football, to which he excelled, at Savannah High School. It is fair to say he worked hard and played hard his entire life.&nbsp;

Raymond worked at Dugdale Packing Co. but soon found his livelihood as a heavy equipment operator working through the years for Lock Construction, the Local 101 Operating Engineers, and The International Union of Operating Engineers.

Raymond loved his family and friends and looked forward to each gathering. &nbsp;His favorite events were the families' annual fall weenie roast, a tradition which started as his birthday celebration, and the annual July homemade ice cream social. His presence will be missed when they gather for ice cream later this month. &nbsp;His specialty was homemade coffee ice cream.

Raymond never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. Throughout his life, whether it be at school, at work, racing at Savannah Speedway, on the CB radio, or at the local general store, he made a friend and had a story to tell. &nbsp;&nbsp;

No matter what brought him to it, he enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman who early in life enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and trap shooting. He also loved to garden and share the produce he grew and canned. He was a lifelong animal lover who spent his retirement years on the farm raising Black Angus cattle and German short-hair pointers.&nbsp;

Raymond was a member of the Helena Lions Club and the Missouri Trap Shooters Association. Raymond was an excellent shot and loved to shoot in both competition and in the backyard with friends and family.

The only thing he loved more than the outdoors was his family.

Along with his loving wife, Raymond is survived by his daughters Brenda (Bruce Dunn) Tritten, Helena, MO; &nbsp;Amy (Mike Shelton) Cline-Shelton, St. Joseph, MO, Sara Berry, Galt, MO, and his bonus children Tina Johnson, Republic, MO, and Jeff (Kerri) Ury, Urbandale, IA.

Grandchildren Andrew Tritten, Garet Cline, Dakota (Katie) Shelton, Gentry Cline, Colt Berry, Megan (Connor) Kimsey, Nicholas Johnson, Kaitlyn Ury and Jocelyn Ury. As well as 8 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Additional survivors include brothers Eugene (Helen) Cline, St. Joseph, MO, Herbert (Liz) Cline, Savannah, MO, sisters Betty Gill, Stewartsville, MO; Martha White, Grandview, MO; Susan (Jim) Parker, Kirksville, MO. Sister-in-law, Barbara (Carl) Landes, St. Joseph, MO; Brother-in-law, Wendel (Ella) Frost, Cleveland, TN. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Raymond was proceeded in death by his stepdaughter, Wendy (DeShon) Kirschbaum, a granddaughter; Samantha Vaughn; brother, Amos John "AJ" Cline; sisters, Marceas Reents and Nina Bouge all of St Joseph, MO. His father in-law and mother in-law, Marvin and Marjorie Frost, Gallatin, MO; And his most loyal canine companion, Lacy.

He leaves behind the most loyal group of friends who became like family at Hannah's General Store. Chances are, if he wasn't at home, you could find him having coffee and telling stories at Hannah's.&nbsp;

Raymond had a huge personality, and his passing clearly leaves a void. Now, we celebrate his life and legacy and can honor him with continued storytelling.&nbsp;

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Heaton Bowman Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, MO.

Robert “Bob” Dean Jones, 90, son of Ralph &amp; Emma Jones, one of six children, was a lifelong resident of Burlington Junction, Missouri born on May 12, 1934.

Bob departed this world on July 6, 2024 to be with Pauline, the love of his life of 64 years, with loved ones by his side.

After graduation he entered the Air Force as a mechanic. He later worked at MFA and was a lifetime farmer. Bob was feisty and quick-witted and had many lifelong friends.

He loved hunting, camping, fishing and went on many trips with his brothers and family.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Ralph “Bud” and Dennis; sister, Francis; and step-daughter Connie.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Robin Peterson (Mike); grandchildren, Chrissy, Patty, Zack and Whitney; great-grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Rose), Larry Lee (Glenda), and many nieces and nephews.

Senturie Heath, 34, Ottumwa, Iowa, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

She was born December 26, 1989 in St. Joseph to David and Shawnee (Johnson) Heath. Senturie grew up in St. Joseph, graduating from Central High School in 2008.

She later moved to Cameron, Missouri, where she worked at Clinco for many years. She recently moved to Ottumwa to be near her family.

Senturie enjoyed all kinds of music and going on walks. She was outgoing, outspoken and funny, and enjoyed making others laugh.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; grandfather, Maurice Johnson; grandparents, Richard and Phyllis Heath; and uncle, David Johnson.

Survivors include her mother, Shawnee Walton (Bill); her father, David Heath (Kerri); siblings; Chris Johnson (Brandy), Odetta Walton, Matthew Popplewell (Rick), and Tara Burgess (Aaron); grandmother, Karen Johnson; aunt, Britani Cote (James); numerous nieces and nephews; her partner, Jeremy Maupin; other extended family and friends; and her beloved service dog, Water Walker Walton.
