Bobby Lee “Bob” Oyer, 80, of Atchison, KS died on Friday, July 4th, 2025, at the Atchison Medicalodge ,
Bob was born on Sept. 24, 1944, in St. Louis, MO the son of Earl and Frances (Dee) Oyer. He graduated from Nevada High School, Nevada, MO in 1962. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bob, after returning from the service, worked as a chipper & grinder for the former LFM-Rockwell-Bradken Foundry, Atchison for 45 years. He was a Charter Member of the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, where he served as a Deacon and Song Leader. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 6, and the V.F.W. Post # 1175, of Atchison. Bob enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting.
He was married to Judith “Judy” Summerfield on June 8, 1963. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons Kevin and Scott Oyer, Atchison, KS, He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at the Faith Bible Fellowship Church with Rev. Stephen Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Faith Bible Fellowship Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the services.
