Lorraine Marie Bechtold, 98, of rural Hiawatha, surrounded with family, passed away peacefully April 22, 2021, at Hiawatha Community Hospital.

She was born September 29, 1922, at Everest, Kansas, the oldest child born to the late Albert Herman “Dutch” and Ethel Mary Freeland Rosenhoover and has lived in the northeast Kansas area her entire life.&nbsp; Lorraine grew up at Everest, attending Everest Grade School prior to graduating from Everest High School in May 1940.&nbsp; She later worked to obtain a degree in nursing in February 1944 from St. Joseph School of Nursing, St. Joseph, MO.&nbsp; She worked as a registered nurse many years several places:&nbsp; SBA Hospital in Topeka, KS, Horton Hospital, and a short period at Brown County Infirmary.

Mrs. Bechtold was a dedicated member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church of Horton prior to becoming a member of St. Anns Parish in Hiawatha.&nbsp; Lorraine was active in the Altar Society at Church, and had assisted in the money counting there for many years.&nbsp; She volunteered for NEK Home Health &amp; Hospice; loved to raise a flower &amp; vegetable garden; enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading.&nbsp; All this being said, her family was the #1 priority!

Lorraine married Jack Francis Bechtold, August 28, 1944, at Everest.&nbsp; They farmed and raised livestock for several years near Horton until moving to Hiawatha in 1975 to enjoy their retirement years.&nbsp; He died July 1998.

Survivors include her children:&nbsp; Susan Gilkison of Wichita, Mary Bechtold of Topeka, Galen Bechtold (Luci) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Bruce Bechtold (Judy) of Horton, Jay Bechtold, also of Horton, Jane Walsh (Casey) of Denton; a sister Beverly Fuhrman of Castorville, TX, 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; Good friends to Lorraine include George and Sharon Wilhelm, Helen &amp; Toby Melster, and Eldana Nichols.

She was also preceded in death by a sister Rita Henning, brother in law Carl Henning, brothers: Charles Rosenhoover, sister in law Betty Rosenhoover, Ralph Rosenhoover, grandson Gary Wayne Schaefer, grand-daughter Kelsey Jean Bechtold, son in law Richard Gilkison, daughter in law Kim Bechtold, and brother in law Robert “Bob” Fuhrman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at St. Anns Catholic Church in Hiawatha.&nbsp; Father Dan Gardner will be the celebrant.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha after 10 a.m. Monday where the parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. that evening follow by visitation until 8.

Saundra J. Moutray, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away April 22, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.

She worked for Lafayette High School, and the Belt Bowl for over 25 years.&nbsp; Her hobbies included bowling, going on summer trips with her sister, drinking Busch Beer on her deck, collecting owls and spending time with her great grandchildren.

Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and brother.

Survivors include her daughter Charisse, son Darren, 2 grandchildren Randy and Kelsee, 3 great grandchildren Azealynn, Conner and Knox, sister Wanda Lee,&nbsp; and several nieces and nephews.

Ernest Wesley Hawkins, IV, 59, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, April 23, 2021.

He was born January 2, 1962 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Ernest and Sandra (Broussard) Hawkins, II.

Ernest married Jaime Maag October 1, 2016. She survives of the home. He was a 1981 graduate of Benton High School. Ernest worked for Mosaic Life Care for 34 years where he received the MVP, Law of Heart and Beacon awards. He was also the owner/operator of Hawkeyes BBQ, President of Eazin’ Thunder Motorcycle Club, St. Joseph Chapter. He was a participant in the 2017 Dancing with the St. Joe Stars, and also sang with the Gospel Tones of Harmony, 2nd Generation.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, smoking meat, traveling, watching his Kansas City Chiefs play, and had a love for horses and airplanes. The most important thing to Ernest was his family and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri November 11, 1960 to Richard and Donna (Johnson) Ellis.

Gregory married Pat Reeves May of 1997. She preceded him in death July of 2019.

He enjoyed bowling, playing pool, fishing, motorcycles, and collecting Native American arts. Gregory loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilfred and Ethel Ellis, Earl and Marie Johnson, John and Pearl Poe; niece, Jensen Ellis.

Survivors include children, Sariena Ellis, Laura Williams, Brian Smoot (Kristie); grandchildren, Faith, John, Charlie, Jarrid; parents, Richard and Donna Ellis; siblings, Jeffrey R. Kateryna "Kathy" H. Hasiak also known as "Kjo" 61, of Saint Joseph, MO passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 in Saint Joseph, MO. 

She was born May 4, 1959 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Eva and Semen Hasiak. She graduated from Benton High School, and achieved an&nbsp;associates degree from Missouri Western State University. She worked at American Family Insurance for several years. Kathy was very active with the St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church, organizing festivals and annual events. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and church friends. 

She was preceded in death by parents, brother Petro Hasiak, and a sister, Oksana Lovelady. 

Survivors include brother, Taras "Ted" (Lynn) Hasiak of Saint Joseph, MO, sisters, Maria "Mary" (Ronald) Morton of Stockbridge, GA, Lesia Shtohryn and Irene Hasiak both of Saint Joseph, MO, as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Larry R. Gilbert 74, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. 

He was born September 9, 1946 in Paris, TX, son of the late Evelyn and Lloyd Gilbert. He graduated from Turner High School, Carrollton, TX, and he worked at Siemans Mattress Factory, the School District in Carrollton, TX, and he was a Security Guard at the Millwood Golf Course in Ashdown, Ark. He was a lifelong wrestling fan, and an avid Chiefs fan, and he also enjoyed word search. He was a member of Faith United Baptist Church. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, step dad, Clevis Wright, and a sister, Patsy Bowman. 

He married Shirley Burden on September 1, 2000, and she survives of the home, additional survivors include: sons, Randy Gilbert, Palestine, TX, Jeff Gilbert, Atlanta, TX, step son, Rodney Burden, Denton, TX, sister, Beverly Polley, Currant, TX, 1 grandson, 9 granddaughters, 7 great grandsons, 5 great granddaughters, brother in law &amp; sister in law, Garry &amp; Rose Marsh, St. Joseph, MO, and brother in Law, Gary Chambers of CA.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be conducted on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Vaughn Memorial Cemetery, Gilmore, Oklahoma.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He graduated from Turner High School, Carrollton, TX, and he worked at Siemans Mattress Factory, the School District in Carrollton, TX, and he was a Security Guard at the Millwood Golf Course in Ashdown, Ark. He was a lifelong wrestling fan, and an avid Chiefs fan, and he also enjoyed word search. He was a member of Faith United Baptist Church. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, step dad, Clevis Wright, and a sister, Patsy Bowman. Ralph "Bud" Sandlin Jr. 85, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in a Gower, MO health care center. 

He was born November 29, 1935 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Alice and Ralph Sandlin Sr. He graduated from Benton High School, and married Betty Barbee on August 25, 1956, and she survives of the home. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard for four years. Ralph retired from Union Pacific Railroad as Yard Master after 37 years of service. He enjoyed farming. and he was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. 

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Sandlin, sisters, Charlotte Sandlin and Mary Holtsclaw, grandsons, Aaron Sandlin, Jacob Sandlin, and Seth Sandlin.

Paul was born December 20, 1973, at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, one of three children of Larry and Kay Williams Ingram.&nbsp; He spent nearly all of his life in Hiawatha, where he attended Hiawatha schools with the class of 1992.

Paul worked as a cook most of his life for several Hiawatha restaurants.&nbsp; He most recently worked for Fairview Mills, Hiawatha.&nbsp; Paul had a love of music especially concerts.&nbsp; To say that he was an avid fan, of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, was an understatement!!

Survivors include his mother Kay (Ingram) Schmille (Claude) of Hiawatha, son Nathan of Lenexa, KS, sister Brook Pace of St. Joseph, MO and a brother Philip Ingram (Holly) of Wichita, KS.

The family will greet friends at a come and go gathering, at the Calvary Temple Fellowship Hall, 800 South First in Hiawatha from 11 until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021.&nbsp; Inurnment will be private at a later date.

She was born May 6, 1940 in Maryville, Missouri to Donald C. and Eva L. (Spargur) Egbert. She grew up in Burlington Junction, Missouri. Judy married Duane Carroll. He preceded her in death.

She worked at Whitaker Cable, then Quaker Oats, where she retired after more than 20 years of service.

Judy enjoyed quilting and found joy in teaching anyone who wanted to learn how to quilt. She also was a dog lover and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Donna Jean Hann.

Survivors include sons, Jeff Domino and Mike Domino (Kristine); and her beloved dog, Mr. Brodie.

Harvey enjoyed golfing with friends and loved football. His motto was “enjoy life,” and he liked to make people laugh.

She was born April 27, 1952 in St. Joseph, daughter of Sylvia and Louie Miller. Ava attended Benton High School. She married Johnny Matthews on October 12, 1969. She worked at Terrible's Casino. Ava loved bowling, she was the Princess Bowling Tournament Champion. She also enjoyed playing softball, cooking, watching cooking shows, playing cards and shopping. She was always was there for her family. 

Ava was preceded in death by husband, Johnny Ray Matthews in 2020 and her parents. 

Survivors include children, Garrett (Tammy) Matthews, Sheila Matthews, Shirley Matthews, all of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Heather Pritchett, Sean (Ashley) Pritchett, Kami (Zack) Matthews-Morgan, Olivia Matthews, Grayson Matthews and Johnny Pete Sauter, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

At home, and surrounded by loved ones, Loretta Joyce (Bradley) Brooks finished&nbsp; her race and was welcomed home by her Savior Jesus on April 22, 2021.

Loretta was born to Roy and Elsie Bradley on November 1, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO.&nbsp; She attended Central High School.

Loretta was employed as a medical receptionist/supervisor at the Thompson Clinic and Family Guidance Center.&nbsp; But her favorite job, and happiest time of her life, was raising her children.&nbsp; Every kid on the block wanted to be Loretta's kid.

Loretta was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Little League World Series.&nbsp; She was a patio gardener working magic with her mandevillas.&nbsp; She was a voracious reader.&nbsp; Loretta enjoyed playing games with her children and grandchildren.&nbsp; Everyone knew when Grandma had the "Old Maid" because her dimples would start to crinkle, and a smile would spread across her face.

Joy and laughter followed her wherever she went.

Loretta was known for her fried potatoes and she generously shared meals with her neighbors.&nbsp; She was never without a bowl full of candy sitting on her table for anyone to grab a piece or two.

But for all this, Loretta was best known for her compassionate, kind, merciful loving heart that looked out for the "least of these".&nbsp; (Matthew 25:35-40).

Loretta was preceded in death by her son, David Brooks, her daughter Vivian Brooks, her parents, Roy and Elsie Bradley, her stepmother Vivian Bradley, her brother Robert (Bob) Bradley, and her former husband Roger B. Brooks.

She is survived by sons Roger (Susan)Brooks, St. Joseph, MO and Kenny (Tammy) Brooks, St. Joseph, MO, daughters Cathy (Everett) Lewis, Lake Jackson, TX and Diane (Randy) Dudik, St. Joseph, MO, brothers Don (Juana) Bradley, St. Joseph, MO and Richard (Diane) Bradley, Neola, IA, sister Jenny Stewart, St. Joseph, MO.

Loretta is also survived by grandsons Craig (Mindy) Lewis, Kyle (Jamie) Lewis, R.L. Brooks, Micah (Natalie) Brooks, Kris Monroe, granddaughter Dana Foster, and great granddaughters, Camryn Lewis, Cambria Lewis, Scarlett Lewis, Vivian Lewis, Maddie Foster, and Becca Foster. Loretta says goodbye to nieces and nephews who are dear to her heart.

Loretta was a woman of joy, a woman of hope, a woman of acceptance, a woman of faith.

Dean Green, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cameron.

Dean served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Campaign.

He was a Missouri State Highway Patrolman and was at stationed at Troop H in St. Joseph. He retired a Sergeant after 30 years of service.

He was a member of; Missouri State Troopers Association, Elks Club, American Legion Post 359, Saxon Lodge #508, Scottish Rite, Moila Shrine Temple, Aloha Shrine In Hawaii and a Honorary Member of the Ararat Shrine in Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Elmer and Grace Green.

Mr. Green is survived by his daughters; Sherre (Pat) Clark, and Tangee Doherty, granddaughters; Britni Mileham, Madi Clark, Jordyn Doherty and Camarae Heins. Brother; Ronald (Dyann) Green, his former wife; Winona Green and several great-grandchildren and two nieces.

Per Dean's wishes, he has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. No visitation or services will be held. &nbsp;

Dean Green  1927 - 2021

Tuesday, April 20, 2021, Helen Rhyner, our beloved mother, passed away at the age of 83. 

Her life centered around her steadfast Catholic faith and the deep love she had for her family. Helen was a long-time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and attended daily mass for years. She was born in St. Joseph to Carl and Carmella Montegna, the eldest of four siblings. She grew up in a loving Italian-American home where she lived with her parents and grandparents. Helen attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School and then worked at the Park Bank in St. Joseph before marrying Warren Rhyner in February of 1960. She was very active in the community serving on the St. Francis Parish Council, Our Lady of Guadalupe Service Committee, Noyes Home For Children Board, participated weekly at The Mir House of Prayer and was a member of the Dow “Joans” Investment Club. All the while raising five kids and managing to squeeze in a few sets of tennis, a game she loved dearly. Helen was an avid cook and was always trying new recipes. She was at her best and happiest when cooking a family holiday or birthday meal. After raising her children, she entered the workforce by purchasing and managing The Le Femme Beauty Salon. She enjoyed chatting with all the customers and especially cherished making countless dozens of Christmas cookies every year to share during the Christmas season. Once retired, she spent her time visiting with family, friends and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Tuesday, April 20, 2021, Helen Rhyner, our beloved mother, passed away at the age of 83. Her life centered around her steadfast Catholic faith and the deep love she had for her family. Helen was a long-time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and attended daily mass for years. She was born in St. Joseph to Carl and Carmella Montegna, the eldest of four siblings. Ronald (Ron) A. Reeves, 73, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away April 18, 2021 in St Petersburg, FL.

Born August 15, 1947, Ron graduated from CHS 1965 and joined the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He met his wife, Barbara, on a blind date in San Antonio when he was 21. They married June 7, 1969. Ron was a member of the St. Joseph Fire Department, retiring after 20 years. He also retired from St. Joseph Transit after 14 years.

Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara, son Scott and his wife Mary Pozuelo and granddaughter Audrianna Pozuelo, all in St. Petersburg, FL; his brother Robert, wife Charlotte, their children, and grandchildren in St. Joseph area; and cousin, William Knapp of Massachusetts.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Rupp Funeral Home. Betty Williams, 83, Savannah, MO; passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Living Community with her family by her side.

Betty was born on November 7, 1937 in Savannah to the late Frank Jacob Bisig and Virginia Chloe (Moran) Hadorn.

Before retiring in 2002, Mrs. Williams served as Andrew County Clerk for eight years. Prior to that she was a fee agent at the Department of Motor Vehicle for twelve years.

Mrs. Williams sang at funerals for Jim Hawkins and Ron Crouse at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home for several years. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church.&nbsp; She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning and most of all taking care of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty married Virgil "Doc" Williams on July 25, 1954.&nbsp; He preceded her in death.&nbsp; In addition to Doc and her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her oldest son, Ricky Williams.

Survivors include her children, Carey Williams (Tammy), Kim Bauman (Randy), Jeff Williams (Judy); daughter-in-law, Linda; grandchildren, Kae Lewis (Chad), Cara Damgar (Jamie), Tawni Bross (Dave), Megan House (Johnny), Dustin Bauman (Emily); twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; siblings, Charlette Cantrell and F. Wayne Bisig and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service 11:30 AM Friday, April 23, 2021 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Garland E. Blanton, 79, passed away&nbsp;April 15th&nbsp;near Troy, Kansas. 

Garland was born in Severance, KS to Floyd Sr. and Mary (Simpson) Blanton of Troy, KS on Jan. 6, 1942. He attended school in Troy. He joined the Army at age 17. He was stationed in Germany for 2 years during the Berlin Conflict. He worked for 21 years for the City of Troy as a maintenance worker and electrical lineman.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Garland married Mary Jane Sells and had daughters Kelly and Sonya and an adopted daughter Jani Blanton. They were later divorced. He then married Cindy Jones and had children Jeremy and Danielle. They were later divorced. He was a baptized member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in&nbsp;Bendena.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Garland served in the Army National Guard for 20 years. He belonged to American Legion Post #55. He started the “Sons of the American Legion” group while serving as Vice-Commander in&nbsp;Troy. He was also a member of the VFW Post #5531 in Wathena, Ks.&nbsp;He enjoyed life as a skilled bow hunter and avid collector of Native American artifacts along with his&nbsp;seasonal passion of mushroom hunting. Known as “Cowboy” by his St. Joseph friends, he also enjoyed dancing, fishing, metal detecting and traveling the backroads of Doniphan County. While bow hunting at Eagle Springs in 1973 he came upon Ryan O’Neill in his car waiting for the film crew of Paper Moon. They were both stunned to run into each other.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Janie Blanton and brother Harold “Dean” Blanton. He is survived by his brothers Floyd, Jr. “Gus” (Donna), Wathena, KS; Dwayne (Peggy) Blanton, Oskaloosa, KS.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ronald Lee Worley, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 surrounded by his family at home.

He was born July 27, 1930 in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Cecil and Mary (Stull) Worley.

Ronald married Ruby M. Edwards on July 2, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2020.

Ronald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked at Southwestern Bell for more than 30 years and retired in 1990.

Ronald loved fishing, camping, time with family, and playing cards with his siblings on Thursday afternoons. He loved to tinker with things, would help anyone who needed it, and could fix anything. He was always happy.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; grandson, Jeffery Worley; brothers, Richard, Larry, and Sherman Worley; and sister, Rose Marie Miller.

Survivors include his children, Steve Worley (Elaine), Roger Worley, and Connie Bowers (Jim); seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and brother, Leroy Worley (Irene). Kathy Hoskins, 69, of Cameron, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. 

She was born June 4, 1951 in Delano, CA, daughter of Georgia and James "Ed" Ford. She graduated from high school in Delano. She married Jerry Hoskins on June 5, 1970. Kathy enjoyed baking, holidays, and always put her family first. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lucas Hoskins, sisters, Joyce Moreland, Alta Dodd, and Mary Barker. 

Survivors include: husband of over 50 years, Jerry Hoskins of the home, son, Roy (Joan) Hoskins of St. Joseph, grandson, Thomas Hoskins, step-grandson, Dylan Kirkpatrick, sister, Deborah (Lee) Terry of Pixley, CA, brothers, Bob (Lola) Fikes of Solvang, CA, and Jim (Kathy) Brown of Tulare, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hiawatha…Geraldine Marie Kinsley, 84, of Hiawatha, died early Saturday morning, April 17, 2021, at the home of her daughter in St. Joseph, MO.

Gerry, as to how she was known to family and friends, was born June 14, 1936, at Norfolk, NY, one of eight children born to Milton Henry Sr. and Ethel Mae Sherman Gooshaw. &nbsp;&nbsp;She grew up back east where she attended school prior to graduating from Elkland, NY High School with the class of 1954.&nbsp; Gerry worked for Hospice (WEK), Elmira, NY Star Gazette; Plainville Convalescent Home, and upon moving to Hiawatha, Pamida, and Wonder Bread Thrift Store for 19 years until retiring.

Mrs. Kinsley was a longtime member of the Christ Church of Hiawatha; and recent years found her attending faithfully at Trinity United Methodist Church of Hiawatha.&nbsp; She had a bubbly personality, never knew a stranger, was a great cook and making baked goods, enjoying sharing her goodies!

She married Earl “Wayne” Kinsley, August 4, 1957, at Elmira, NY.&nbsp; He was in the military and they lived several places across the United States before moving to Hiawatha to make their home in 1975 until moving to St. Joseph to make their home with their daughter Dianna in February 2018.&nbsp;&nbsp; Wayne died January 17, 2019.&nbsp; She was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings:&nbsp; Georgetta Gooshaw, Regnald Gooshaw, Billy Gooshaw, Milton Gooshaw, and Betty Stocum.

Survivors include her children:&nbsp; Thomas Kinsley, Robert Kinsley, Dianna Haynes, Milton Kinsley, James Kinsley, and Natalie Travis; siblings:&nbsp; Sylvia Frite, Beverly MacKey; 16 grandchildren with 31 great-grandchildren.&nbsp; A good friend thru the years of Gerry was Donna Krebs.

Celebration of Gerry’s eternal life is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hiawatha, with Pastor Kevin Rea officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday.&nbsp; The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services at Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;PLEASE OBSERVE MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS

Floyd Terrance "Terry" Boyer, 80, of Cameron, passed away on Friday April 16, 2021 at a care facility in Blue Springs.

Terry &nbsp;was born on October 26, 1940 in Hemple, MO, to the late Floyd L. and LaVerne (Riggs) Boyer.

He was a graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph. He began his career in law enforcement with the St. Joseph Police Department where&nbsp; he was a K-9 officer with his partner "Shane". He was a member of the S.W.A.T. team and he trained officers in scuba and water rescue. He later graduated from the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA, in March of 1981 and was a polygraph operator. He was very proud of his service in law enforcement.

Terry was a lifetime member of the NRA and he was a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyer was preceded in death by his wife; Sharon Boyer.

He is survived by his sons; Brad (Sheila) and Bryan (Lynda Sue) Boyer, grandchildren; Nichole Evans, Melissa Hensley,&nbsp; Jessica Boyer, Sarah Rock and Lance Westrick, Six great-grandchildren, sisters; Dianne (Corky) Dewey and Linda (Bill) Arthur along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.

A private graveside service and inurnment will be held at Freeman-Kerns Cemetery at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in support of law enforcement families.
