Hiawatha lost one of their beloved teachers after a courageous battle with cancer.&nbsp; Chris Vitt, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully April 28, 2021 at the Hiawatha Community Hospital.&nbsp; He was 59.

He was born in Colorado Springs, CO, December 14, 1961, one of four children of Greg and Barbara Beckenhauer Vitt.&nbsp; The family moved to Seneca where Chris grew up, attended schools and graduated with the class of 1980 at Nemaha Valley High School. As he was attending Emporia State University, he developed an interest in teaching.&nbsp; He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Emporia in 1984.

Chris came to Hiawatha and started teaching biology at Hiawatha High School which ended after 35 years of love and dedication.&nbsp; This became more of a passion of his, which was obvious as students loved to take his class.&nbsp; Through the years, he was always taking field trips not only locally, but out of the country to places like San Salvador and Bahamas.&nbsp;&nbsp; Chris was loved by students and teachers alike, along with the community.&nbsp; He had a love for nature, still finding time to fish, hunt, and play poker with the guys!&nbsp; His greatest love was his family.

He married Michelle Hummel, August 2, 1986, at Seneca.&nbsp; They made Hiawatha their home, raised their family with Michelle being a teacher at Hiawatha Middle School.&nbsp; She survives at home.

Also surviving are sons Jeremy Vitt (Melissa), Ryan Vitt, his parents Barbara and Greg Vitt, brothers Joe Vitt (Kim), Dave Vitt (Davina), brother in law Gary Graber, with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Bernadette Graber, grandparents Margaretha &amp; George Beckenhauer, Florence Venetucci and Alfred Vitt.

A Celebration of Chris’s life is planned for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Hiawatha Memorial Auditorium, with Shane Spangler and Father Dan Gardner will officiate.&nbsp; Private inurnment at Powhattan Cemetery.

Caroline Lightle, 77, North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021.

She was born August 14, 1943 in San Diego, California to Melvin and Fern (Dreyer) Woodcock.

Caroline married Donald Ray Lightle on September 28, 1963. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2018.

She started out as a hairdresser, then later worked as a purchasing agent for TWA/American Airlines for many years.

Caroline was an avid scrapbooker and shopper. She loved visiting with family and friends and helping others. She loved flowers and enjoyed planting them each year to create many beautiful displays. She regularly attended Northland Cathedral in Kansas City, North and fulfilled a lifetime dream of joining and singing in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Phyllis; and brother, Stan.

Survivors include daughter, Stephanie Fray (William); granddaughter, Jessica Bye (Michael); two great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Woodcock-Counsell; and her two beloved cats.

Mary Lou Wilson, 77, of Cummings, KS died on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Mosaic Life Center, St Joseph, MO. She retired in 2015 after approximately 25 years. Mary Lou was a member of the Cummings Christian Church, the VFW Auxiliary, a member of the Lady Elks # 647, Atchison, the Lancaster Saddle Club and enjoyed quilting, sewing, bowling, gardening and yard work and attending the grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She was active as a 4-H Leader for the Lucky Clover 4-H and in helping with the Veteran’s programs through the Elks and the KETCH Program. She was married to Gary Wilson on April 6, 1962. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son Dan (Misti) Wilson, Cummings, KS, a daughter Margie (Travis) McConnaughey, Valley Falls, KS, two brothers Bud (Kathy) Kirkham, Stark KS, and Harry Dean (Tossie) Kirkham, Valley Falls, KS, two sisters Beverly (Skip) Nitz, Cummings, KS and Nancy (Jim) Kenny, Palmdale, CA and three grandchildren Ryan (Cheyenna) Myers, Bethany (Tyler) Jacobson, and Bailey Wilson, and one great granddaughter Reese Nicole Jacobson.

Timothy Pritchett, 52, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at his home. 

He was born September 27, 1968 in St. Joseph, son of Sandra and Robert Pritchett. He attended Benton High School. Tim worked in construction, working with his father-in-law at Matthews Construction. He loved to fish, mushroom hunting, playing softball and coaching his kids ball teams. 

Timothy was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Davis. 

Survivors include, father, Robert Pritchett of St. Joseph, his companion for over 30 years, Sheila Matthews of St. Joseph, children, Sean (Ashley) Pritchett and Heather Pritchett of St Joseph, brother, Jeff Pritchett, 3 sisters, Andrea, Elorie and Colin, 4 grandchildren, Skyler, Kobe, Creed and Jessa, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kenneth R. Glauser (81) of St. Joseph, MO passed away at his home Sunday, April 25, 2021.&nbsp;

Ken was born March 13, 1940.&nbsp; He attended Neeley Elementary School until the 5th&nbsp;grade when he joined the workforce to help care for his family.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He served his country in the US Army where he received a Good Conduct Medal, and Expert (rifle) and Sharpshooter (m-14) medals as well.&nbsp; He also served as a Fire Crewman during his time in the Army.

After serving in the military Ken married the love of his life Frances Harriet Glauser.&nbsp; In his 30’s Ken obtained his GED from Lafayette High School &nbsp;He had a very successful career in Insurance Sales for Reserve National Insurance.&nbsp; Ken enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, playing poker and making others smile.

Ken was a very loving , caring and humorous man.&nbsp; Family was his number one priority, he raised his children, several grandchildren, as well as had a hand with several great-grandchildren.

Ken Is Survived by his wife Frances Harriet (Younger) Glauser;&nbsp; Sisters Shirley Myers and Joyce Glauser.&nbsp; Brothers- Jack Redmond; Sister-in-Law Mary Glauser.&nbsp; Daughers- Cynthia (Fox) Bennett, Dina (Nelson) Yager.&nbsp; Son- Jerry Nelson &amp; Teri,&nbsp; Grandchildren- Amber Fox &amp; Nate, Andrea DeSpain, Ashley(Smashley) DeSpain &amp; Brent, Aaron Coy, Misty Shade, Paden Nelson, Cole Yager, Chris Coy, and Jason Shade &amp; Sammy.&nbsp; Great-Grandchildren-&nbsp; Chloe, Sebastian, Rose, Collin, Andrew, David, Brenton, Jerzi, Sawyer, Thomas and Lexi. Samuel J. Blythe, III, 92, of Highland, died unexpectedly April 27, 2021, at a care home in Newton, Kansas.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland after 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, where the family will meet with friends from I until 3 p.m.

A Celebration of Sam’s eternal life is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at the Troy Baptist Church.&nbsp; Pastor Dennis Jennings will officiate.&nbsp; Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery, with military honors a courtesy of Dillon Bales American Legion Post, and the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard.

Sam was born August 17, 1928, in Atchison, Kansas to Samuel J Blythe Jr and Lucy Crawford Blythe, the oldest of four children.&nbsp; He attended Atchison schools, graduating from Atchison high School.&nbsp; He graduated from Ottawa University in 1950 and was immediately drafted into the U S Army, serving in Korea. He was severely injured by an incoming mortar and carried those injuries for the rest of his life.&nbsp; Following the release form the Army he lived and worked in San Antonio for several years and returned home to work with his father on the family farm in 1957.&nbsp; Sam continued to live with his father until his father’s death in 1979.&nbsp; Sam had a great passion for the Lord and was always willing to share his faith.&nbsp; In 1975 Sam began to pastor the Baptist Church in Sparks Kansas.

&nbsp;In 1980 Sam moved to Highland, Kansas and became involved in Midland Ministries where he served on the board. He had a great passion for the souls of young people and did volunteer service in several youth camps.&nbsp; During this time he began nursing home visitation where he would play familiar hymns on the piano.&nbsp; He continued this until he became a resident in Highland Healthcare.&nbsp; Sam was known for his generous spirit always willing to help someone giving them a hand up.&nbsp; He was awarded appreciation certificates by several nursing homes in the area and was honored by the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce given the title of “Quiet Hero” which well describes Sam.&nbsp;

&nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother John Blythe, and sister Mary Blythe.&nbsp; He is survived by one brother Paul Blythe and eleven nieces and nephews.&nbsp; His friend Raymond Neibling who was an advocate for Sam’s care also survives.&nbsp;

Blythe, III, 92, of Highland, died unexpectedly April 27, 2021, at a care home in Newton, Kansas.Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland after 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, where the family will meet with friends from I until 3 p.m.A Celebration of Sam’s eternal life is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at the Troy Baptist Church.&nbsp; Pastor Dennis Jennings will officiate.&nbsp; Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery, with military honors a courtesy of Dillon Bales American Legion Post, and the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard.MASKS HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDSam was born August 17, 1928, in Atchison, Kansas to Samuel J Blythe Jr and Lucy Crawford Blythe, the oldest of four children.&nbsp; He attended Atchison schools, graduating from Atchison high School.&nbsp; He graduated from Ottawa University in 1950 and was immediately drafted into the U S Army, serving in Korea. He was severely injured by an incoming mortar and carried those injuries for the rest of his life.&nbsp; Following the release form the Army he lived and worked in San Antonio for several years and returned home to work with his father on the family farm in 1957.&nbsp; Sam continued to live with his father until his father’s death in 1979.&nbsp; Sam had a great passion for the Lord and was always willing to share his faith.&nbsp; In 1975 Sam began to pastor the Baptist Church in Sparks Kansas.&nbsp;In 1980 Sam moved to Highland, Kansas and became involved in Midland Ministries where he served on the board. He had a great passion for the souls of young people and did volunteer service in several youth camps.&nbsp; During this time he began nursing home visitation where he would play familiar hymns on the piano.&nbsp; He continued this until he became a resident in Highland Healthcare.&nbsp; Sam was known for his generous spirit always willing to help someone giving them a hand up.&nbsp; He was awarded appreciation certificates by several nursing homes in the area and was honored by the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce given the title of “Quiet Hero” which well describes Sam.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother John Blythe, and sister Mary Blythe.&nbsp; He is survived by one brother Paul Blythe and eleven nieces and nephews.&nbsp; His friend Raymond Neibling who was an advocate for Sam’s care also survives.&nbsp;Memorial contributions are suggested to the Troy Baptist Church, sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 33, Highland 66035Please refer to&nbsp;<a href="http://www.chapeloaksfuneralhome.com/">www.chapeloaksfuneralhome.com</a>&nbsp;for leaving a special note, which is also the livestreaming site<figure>

Roy D. Johansen, 77, of Hamlin, died April 25, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.&nbsp;

Roy was born March 16, 1944 in Bingham, NE, one of eleven children of James and Edna Brammer Johansen and had lived nearly all of his life in Brown County where he attended schools.&nbsp; He joined the 2nd&nbsp;BN 130th&nbsp;FA, Kansas Army National Guard for which he served for over 18 years before retiring.&nbsp; Roy worked as a backhoe operator with the Gas Service Company for many years before retiring.

He married Marilyn Glenn January 1, 1965.&nbsp; They made their home at Hiawatha for several years before she died March 16, 1995. &nbsp;He was also preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Janette Jill, and a son Michael and his wife Laura.

Survivors include his son Jeff Johansen (Kim) of Topeka, two grandchildren, step son Matt Adam (Bonnie) with 3 step-grandchildren.&nbsp; He is also survived by his siblings:&nbsp; Jim Johansen, Hazel Hester of Burlington Junction, MO, Pat Davidson of Wymore, NE, Barbara Boyles, Betty Hayes, John Johansen, Sandra McClenny, Susan Mowry, Tom Johansen, all of Hiawatha, David Johansen of Nevada, MO, Eric Dreher of Kansas City, MO.

The family would like to thank the many who stopped to visit.&nbsp; Roy loved life, his many friends, especially those at the Sabetha Hospital and Brown County Law Enforcement. Once you became a friend of Roy’s, you were a friend for life! Roy was a “pay forward” friend and was often seen assisting others who needed him.&nbsp; He had a strong faith in God.&nbsp; He also was involved with scouting, and had been a scout leader.

Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, anything that had to do with being outdoors.&nbsp; He got great pleasure being able to pass on for example, his hunting skills, and watch it pay off….Roy got more excited than the hunter!!

Charles Dean “Charlie” Brockhoff, of Fairview, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, April 27, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital-KU Campus, Topeka.&nbsp; He was 63.

Charlie was one of three children born to Norman and Nancy Bloom Brockhoff, March 17, 1958, at Hiawatha, and was a lifelong Fairview area resident, attended Fairview grade school until they unified with Hiawatha, he then attended Robinson Middle School prior to graduating from Hiawatha High School with class of 1976.&nbsp; In his life, he was a ‘jack of all trades’.&nbsp; He spent his early years working on the family farm—Brockhoff Feed Yards, then a time at the Fairview Elevator, driving a semi along with having his own welding shop.&nbsp; The last 30 years he worked as manager of the Brown County Landfill.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Fairview; volunteer firefighter for the Fairview-Walnut Fire Department for 45 years, serving a number of years as Fire Chief.&nbsp; One of Charlie’s favorite ways to spend time was doing controlled grass burns for the fire department.&nbsp; He spent several years as a reserve officer with the Brown County Sheriff Department. His passions included hunting, mowing jobs, and re-building Cub Cadet mowers.

Charlie was quite the prankster, never knew a stranger, and loved being with friends whom he could tease and banter back and forth.

Survivors include a son Brad Brockhoff (Meagan) of Hiawatha, his mother Nancy Brockhoff of rural Fairview, a brother David Brockhoff also of Fairview, aunts Joyce Brockhoff, Diane Brockhoff, cousins Hazel, Cathy, Mike Brockhoff, and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp; His best friend was Pam Ukele of Sabetha.

He was preceded in death by his father Norman, and sister Teresa Althouse.

Lawrence F. Ruhnke, 81, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

He was born March 4, 1940 in Wathena, Kansas to Lawrence and Louise (Risner) Ruhnke.

Lawrence graduated from Central High School in 1959. He joined the Air National Guard June 16, 1959 and served until April 23, 1965. Lawrence married Myrna Barnett in 1963. They had two children, Marty and Kelly. He worked for TWA, then American Airlines for 36 years. Larry married Karen (Hertel) Powell November 19, 1994. She survives of the home.

He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Larry loved spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren. He took them for rides on his 4-wheeler and lawn mower. He was happiest being outside on a sunny day. Larry also loved to take family vacations.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Henry; numerous uncles, aunts, and many cousins.

Additional survivors include sons, Marty Ruhnke (Amy), Larry Mullen (Angela); daughter, Kelly Butterfield (Darren); step-daughters, Tonya Prater (Farryl), Tasha Goldesberry; step-son, Damon Powell (Crystal); sister, Evelyn Harr (Myron); brothers, Milton Ruhnke, Robert Ruhnke (Patricia), John Ruhnke (Mary Beth); sister-in-law, Dixie Ruhnke; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

John Louis "Louie" Thompson, 80, of St Joseph, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his home in St. Joseph. 

He was born July 23, 1940 in St. Joseph, son of Molly and John Thompson. He married Ruth Embrey on May 15, 1964 in St. Joseph. John was a self taught musician, and had a longtime gospel opry show. He also played country music shows in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska. He was a member of the former Highway to Heaven Church. 

John was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Jody Turner, Susie Smith and Shirley McKnight. 

Survivors include, wife, Ruth Thompson of the home, children, Donetta (David) Winslow, Dionne Thompson, Deanna (Jay) Greiner, Debbie (Ben) Stewart, brother, Mike Thompson, brother-in-law, Dionne Embrey, all of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren, Davy Lee, Dana, Darah, Denae, Derek, Jay William, Issac and Lucien, great-grandchildren, Leah, Griffon, Talon, Benjamin and Raidyn Lee and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean Renee Roach, 72, of Country Club Village, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. 

She was born October 14, 1948 in St. Joseph, daughter of Ruby and Howard Lawhon. Renee graduated from Benton High School, class of 1966 and married William "Bill" Roach on June 7, 1968 in St. Joseph. Renee had worked at Sinclair Realtors for 13 years and prior to that working at Far West Credit Union and St. Joseph Postal Credit Union. She loved to knit and crochet. She has made numerous prayer shawls, chemo caps and many other comfort items for people in need. She also loved spending time with her family and going on vacations. Renee was a longtime member of King Hill Christian Church, where she was a member Christian Women's Fellowship - Evening Circle and was currently a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. 

Renee was preceded in death by her parents. 

Survivors include, husband of nearly 53 years, William "Bill" Roach of the home, son, Brent (Mandy) Roach and daughter, Alison L (Chester) Brown of St. Joseph, honorary son, Robert (Kristin) Jenkins, grandchildren, Spencer Roach, Katie (Aaron) Cooper, Mary (Jason) Carden, Liam Roach, Ryan Roach, Brittnie (Keith) Morgan, Melissa Brown and Clayton (Mackenzie) Brown and 7 great-grandchildren.

Jean "Renee" Roach  1948 - 2021

Kelsey Michelle Patterson 27, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Saint Joseph. 

She was born June 26, 1993 in St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter of Brandee &amp; Mike Patterson. She graduated from Benton High School, class of 2011. She loved being a pit bull mom to Zahra, Ghost, and Cooper, helping anyone in need, but most especially loved spending time with her family. She loved being a pit bull mom to Zahra, Ghost, and Cooper, helping anyone in need, but most especially loved spending time with her family. Cathy was born on January 12, 1954 to the late Russell Barnes and Mary (Patrick) Barnes in Albany, MO.&nbsp;

In addition to her parents Cathy was predeceased by her brother George Barnes; &nbsp;father-in law and mother-in-law Earnest and Mary Catherine Bowman, and a bonus granddaughter Stephanie Bradberry.

Cathy graduated from Savannah R-3 High School, Class of 1972.

Cathy married Walter Bowman on July 16, 1971, in the Savannah United Methodist Church.&nbsp; He survives of the home.&nbsp; Other survivers include her daughters:&nbsp; Amy Bowman (Billy Joe Jordan), Becky Bowman (Bill Kelly); Son, C. J. She was born July 7, 1950 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Ralph and Margaret (Barragar) Upshaw.

Connie married Clarence Wayne King on February 17, 1968. He survives of the home.

She had worked as a beautician for more than 20 years. She went to nursing school at age 58 and then worked at Newmark Care Center in Kansas City.

Connie was an excellent cook and loved family gatherings. She was best known for her brown steak and gravy, fried chicken and sweet treats. She also loved vacationing at the beach.

She had attended Caring First and Grace Evangelical churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was born October 6, 1933 to Claude and Lettie (Willis) Schenck in Kansas City, Missouri.

Yvonne met her husband, Jerry Lynn Stracke, while attending the University of Kansas. On June 8, 1958 they were married. She was an ordained minister through the New Life Cathedral Church and sat on the boards of several ministries. Yvonne was a life-long member of the KU Alumni Association.

Yvonne enjoyed dressing stylishly, always including a hat. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, James Schenck; and aunt, Martha Hayes.

Survivors include her children, Leah (Caldwell) Neal (Brian) of St. Joseph, Missouri and David Stracke (Mary) of Kansas City, Kansas; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Highway.

Alvin "Al" Carl Hyder 91, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, formerly of St. Joseph, MO., passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 in an Overland Park, KS hospital. 

He was born June 12, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Opal and Jacob Hyder. He graduated from Lafayette High School and the St. Joseph Junior College. He married Shirlee Keith on October 15, 1955 and they shared 65 years together. He served in the United States Army, then worked for the United States Post Office as a letter carrier retiring after 31 years of service, he then was a delivery driver for Flowers by Rob for 15 years. Al enjoyed watching sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, and Royals Baseball, he also enjoyed Jazz and Big Band music. He was a member of the Church of Brethren. 

Al was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mike Hyder, and brothers, Marvin and Glenn Hyder.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. Betty was an avid fan of the Chiefs, the Royals, and the St Jo Mustangs. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Helena, American Legion Aux. #359, VFW # 1668 Aux, and the Eagles Lodge #49.&nbsp; 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Harold Bryson, her parents, daughter, Joyce Sharp, brothers, Herman and James E. Adams, and sisters, Nora Farrell and Viola Leidy, grandsons, Ronald &amp; Donald Amos, and granddaughters, Linda Sue Amos &amp; Kim Springs.

He was born December 16, 1994 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Stephenie and Craig Wiggington. He attended Benton High School, and he was working at National Beef. Dylan had two great loves of his life, Kansas City Chiefs and his children that were his world, He was always taking pictures of himself with the kids, we are blessed now to have those pictures. 

Dylan came into this world fighting for his life at Childrens Mercy. He embraced life and all the love offered to him. He never ended a phone call or text without saying "I Love You". We Love You Dylan.

Dylan Scott Allen Wiggington  1994 - 2021

Cody Dustin Grace 26, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday April 21, 2021 in Saint Joseph, the result of an auto accident that occurred on Friday April 9, 2021, with his family. 

He was born January 27, 1995 in Farmington, MO. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Braxtin Grace, daughter, Anastasia Grace, mother of his children, Amy Lynn Morse, and step daughter, Rosalie Morse. 

Survivors include his mother Tonya Grace, Selma, OR, father, Anthony Stevens, Iron Mountain, MO, and several brothers and sisters. 

He was a great father, and loved working on vehicles and doing little tinkering things around the house, which he enjoyed just as much as playing in the pool out in the backyard. He absolutely loved hanging out with his kids and going outdoors to show them how to explore and learn new things.

Cody was a very creative and bright energy person. He would take the worst of day and make it better&nbsp; for Amy and those kids and even when things got rough he still had a smile on his face. The family will receive friends from 1- 2:00 pm on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home, memorial services following Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Rupp Funeral Home. David Mejia Officiating. Ruth Swartz 86, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on April 22, 2021. Ruth was born on November 12, 1934. 

Ruth was proceeded in death by husband James Swartz and sister Shirley Krull. 

She will be missed by her sister Carol Lee Cleland, daughter Sunny Tunell and son Steven Swartz and numerous relatives and friends. 

Ruth was an RN and spent most of her career as a school nurse for the St Joseph, MO school district. She was a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

&nbsp;Visitation will be at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel 3609 Frederick St Joseph, MO 64506from 6-8 Friday April 30th and the funeral will be at 10am Saturday May 1st, burial to follow Memorial Park Cemetery.

Thomas “Tom” Edwin Ramseier, 55, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp;

Tom was born on March 29, 1966 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Kenneth “Lucy” Lloyd and Alice Marie (Ward) Ramseier.&nbsp;

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.&nbsp;

Survivors: children, Nick Barker, John Hamernick Ramseier and Christie Ramseier.&nbsp;

6 grandchildren and his siblings, Joe Ramseier and Sandy Reel.&nbsp;

Nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles and aunts.&nbsp;

Tom wishes were to be cremated with services at a later date.&nbsp;
