HOWELL COUNTY— Authorities are investigating after human remains were found in rural Missouri.
On August 10, the Howell County, Missouri Sheriff's office investigations division discovered skeletal remains in rural Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Due to the complexity of the scene and inclement weather, Howell County Deputies and Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol maintained 24-hour coverage on the scene until the remains were fully recovered on August 14.
The identification of the remains has not been determined. An autopsy will be conducted before the remains are sent to the MSHP lab for identification.
