KANSAS CITY, Mo. –&nbsp;The National Football League announced on Tuesday that six members of the Kansas City Chiefs have been selected to participate in the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl. The below players have earned a spot on the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster:

Clark (6-3, 260)&nbsp;has recorded 6.0 sacks (-35.0 yards, 11 quarterback pressures and three passes defensed in 12 games (nine starts) played this season. Clark’s three forced fumbles tie a single-season career-high, while his Week 1 interception at Jacksonville (9/8/19) was the second of his career. He’s played in 74 career games (42 starts) with the Seahawks (2015-18) and Chiefs (2019) tallying 41.0 sacks (-245.5 yards, 170 tackles, 45 tackles for loss, 11 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

Hardman (5-10, 187)&nbsp;has played in all 14 games this season (four starts). The rookie WR has recorded 25 receptions for 508 yards (20.3 avg.) with six receiving TDs. Hardman has returned 13 punts for 136 yards (10.5 avg.) and 23 kickoff returns for 530 yards (23.0 avg.).

Hill (5-10, 185)&nbsp;has played in 10 games (10 starts) this season, recording 49 receptions for 727 yards (14.8 avg.) with seven touchdowns. He’s played in 57 career games (40 starts) recording 272 receptions for 3,982 yards (14.6 avg.) and 32 receiving touchdowns. Hill owns a league-leading 52 receptions of 25+ yards in his NFL career.

MARYVILLE, Missouri - The No. 4-ranked Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat men's basketball team soared to a 110-66 victory over the visiting Central Methodist University Eagles.

Northwest (9-1 overall) had six players reach double-figure scoring led by junior Ryan Hawkins with a game-high 32 points. Hawkins was 13-of-15 from the floor and scored 28 of his 32 points in the opening half. Hawkins also added five steals, four rebounds and three assists.

The Bearcats shot a sizzling 66.7% from the field by draining 42-of-63 field goals. Northwest sank 53.6% of its three-point shots (15-of-28). The Bearcats forced 23 turnovers, which resulted in 16 steals for the home squad.&nbsp;

Central Methodist (3-10 overall) shot 46.2% from the field (24-of-52). The Eagles made 34.8% of their three-point attempts (8-of-23). The rebounding battle was tied at 24-24.

CMU came out gunning and made 62.5% of its first-half shots (15-of-24, but Northwest was even more effective shooting 65.5% in the opening 20 minutes by draining 21-of-32 field goals. Hawkins was 11-of-12 at the half and had sank all five of his three-point field goals. Northwest led 58-37 at the break.

The Bearcats blew the game wide open with a 21-0 scoring run in the second half to turn a 70-49 lead into a 91-49 bulge with 11:31 to play.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz has added offensive assistant coach Casey Woods to his staff, as announced today.&nbsp; Woods comes to Mizzou from UAB, where he has spent the past three seasons as tight ends coach, run game coordinator and recruiting coordinator.&nbsp; Details of Woods’ contract with Mizzou, along with his specific coaching duties, will be released pending completion of the human resources process.

Woods joined the UAB staff when the football program was reestablished for the 2017 season, and in the three years since – starting from scratch with zero scholarships – the Blazers quickly built the winningest program in Conference USA with a 28-12 overall record.&nbsp; Woods, the son of longtime college coach Sparky Woods, helped guide UAB to the 2018 C-USA title, and to consecutive West Division titles in the last two seasons.

“Casey has been around college football for a long time, he’s got a tremendous heritage with his father’s history,” said Drinkwitz.&nbsp; “He’s got a tremendous work ethic and a very bright future and we’re excited to bring him and his family to Columbia to help us build the program.”

In 2018, Woods was key to the Blazers turning in their best offensive season in program history, which resulted in an 11-3 overall record and winning the school’s first ever Conference USA title and bowl game.

The Blazers set 21 school records in 2018, including total points (418, total yards (5,680, rushing yards (2,818, total touchdowns (53, rushing touchdowns (32, single game total yards (668 vs. UTSA) and single game rushing yards (419 vs. UTSA).

Woods’ tight ends unit was led by co-starters Logan Scott and Hayden Pittman, who did most of their damage in the run game as key additional blockers to Spencer Brown, who ran for 1,227 yards and a school-record 16 touchdowns.

He played in 41 games for the Vols from 2003-07 as a wide receiver and holder, and he served as a team captain during his senior year in 2007. In his five seasons in Knoxville, Tennessee went 44-20 overall and had three 10-win seasons.&nbsp; An outstanding student, Woods was a four-time Academic All-SEC selection.

Missouri Western women's game vs. Peru State moved to 6 PM Monday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs turned Arrowhead Stadium into their own winter wonderland Sunday, mushing through the snow to an easy victory over the Denver Broncos as they march toward another postseason filled with possibilities.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns, and Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce were on the receiving end of many of his biggest throws, as the AFC West champions romped to a 23-3 victory over the rebuilding Broncos to remain in the hunt for the No. 2 playoff seed and a potential first-round bye.

"It was awesome. A lot of fun," said Mahomes, who showed no lingering effects from the hand his bruised last week. "The guys were embracing it. We knew it was going to snow. We practice in cold weather a lot. So you get there, you're already accustomed to it, and you go out there and play."

Like a bunch of kids getting a snow day from school, the Chiefs enjoyed every minute of it.

Hill caught five passes for 67 yards and both scores, and Kelce hauled in 11 catches for 142 yards to become the first tight end in NFL history with four consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons, helping the Chiefs (10-4) beat the Broncos for the ninth straight time. Denver (5-9) hasn't won in Kansas City since Sept. 17, 2015.

The Chiefs outscored their longtime division rival 53-9 this season.

"You just attack it. You can't let weather get into how you're playing the game or disrupt how you're playing the game," Kelce said. "That's the biggest thing in terms of mindset, going out there and not letting anything distract you."

Whether it was the weather or the suddenly stout Chiefs defense, the Broncos were so inept offensively that Kelce had more yards receiving at the start of the fourth quarter than they had total offense (139 yards). Phillip Lindsay was bottled up on the ground, and former Missouri standout Drew Lock -- who grew up in the Kansas City suburb of Lee's Summit, Missouri -- spent most of the day seeing red jerseys bearing down on him.

The rookie quarterback was 18 of 40 for 208 yards and an egregious interception in the end zone.

"I think he handled the conditions well. I think it's a game under these conditions that he can bank and learn from," said Broncos coach Vic Fangio, whose team was eliminated from playoff contention for the fourth straight season. "I didn't see him get flustered out there and frustrated so that part was good."

That was about the only good part. The Broncos finished with 251 yards, went 5 of 14 on third down and 1 of 3 on fourth, and were penalized seven times for 72 yards. They also went 0 for 2 in the red zone.

"When you play a team as good as the Chiefs," Fangio said, "you can't do that."

Flurries began to fall overnight, far earlier than meteorologists had predicted, and the intensifying snow caused major problems for people trying to get to the stadium. There were spin-outs and car accidents throughout the metro area, and there was some concern that players might be delayed in getting to the stadium in time for warmups.

An hour before kickoff, dozens of workers were clearing off the yard lines, end zones and sidelines as the snow swirled inside the stadium. It really began to pick up again at halftime, obscuring Kauffman Stadium about a quarter mile away, and stadium workers flooded the field to clear what they could during every timeout.

It wasn't long until Andy Williams' sonorous voice over the loudspeakers made the snow globe atmosphere complete.

And for the Chiefs, it seemed indeed like the most wonderful time of the year.

They effortlessly marched downfield for a touchdown on their opening drive, then got a trio of field goals from Harrison Butker on their next three first-half possessions to build a 12-3 lead. When they received the kickoff to start the second half, Mahomes took them right downfield again, finding Hill for their second TD connection of the game.

The Broncos didn't force a punt until there was about six minutes left in the third quarter.

By that point, the game was pretty much over.

The biggest cheers the rest of the way were for the Cincinnati Bengals, who were trying to knock off the New England Patriots. They couldn't hold an early lead, though, and that left the Chiefs needing to win out and the Patriots to drop one of their final two games to move ahead of them in the playoff pecking order.

"That was very fun," said Hill, who left the game after a couple of hard hits but returned to finish it out. "This is my first snow game and I had a blast with it. I don't want to do it again because it's very cold, but I had fun with it."

Lindsay had 32 yards rushing and the Broncos finished with 52 as a team. ... Broncos LB Von Miller had the 105th sack of his career. He needs one more to move into the top 25 in NFL history. ... Chiefs roll to 23-3 victory over Broncos at snowy Arrowhead

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Mark Smith wasn't surprised he scored a season-high 23 points to lead Missouri to a 64-48 victory over Southern Illinois on Sunday. He felt so good in pregame warm-ups, he knew something big was coming.

Smith, a junior guard, has never questioned himself despite an up-and-down start to the season. Smith led the Southeastern Conference in 3-point accuracy last year, shooting 45%. He entered Sunday's game making 35.1% of his 3s, but he made 7 of 9 shots from beyond the arc against the Salukis.

"I don't think Mark lacks confidence, because he'll keep shooting, as you can see," Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin said.

Javon Pickett came off the bench to score 13 for Missouri (6-4) in his second straight double-figure scoring game. Point guard Dru Smith scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Eric McGill led Southern Illinois (4-7) with 11 points.

Mark Smith broke open a close game midway through the first half by hitting four straight 3-pointers. On the last one, he pulled up on a fast break and kept his right hand extended as the ball swished through the net, giving Missouri a 21-9 lead and forcing a Southern Illinois timeout.

"We had him down as their best shooter and the guy we couldn't leave," SIU coach Bryan Mullins said. "That was disappointing to see."

McGill hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to cut Missouri's lead to 33-22 at halftime.

The Tigers' advantage grew to 56-31 with 9:12 left in the game when Mark Smith sank his sixth 3-pointer. Missouri held the Salukis to 29.4% shooting and outrebounded them 37-21. SIU made just 10 field goals in the game but made 23 of 26 free throws.

"They had a lot of length on the perimeter, and that bothered our offensive execution," Mullins said. "We've got to do a better job of playing downhill. We were playing east-west too much today."

Missouri didn't exploit its size advantage offensively, with 6-foot-10 starting forwards Jeremiah Tilmon and Mitchell Smith combining for six points. But the Tigers did score 28 points in the paint by sending guards cutting through the lane to score around the basket. Pickett, in particular, has become more productive by attacking the basket.

"With Jeremiah, when teams send a double-team, they send it different ways -- from the top, off the passer, from the bottom," Martin said. "We try to do a lot of things to show him looks, so you have multiple guys cutting. Javon's one of those guys that's a willing cutter, because he knows he can benefit from it."

Southern Illinois: Ronnie Suggs scored four points in his return to the arena he called home for the last two years. Suggs began his career at Bradley, transferred to Missouri as a walk-on after his sophomore year, sat out one year per NCAA rules and then played in 27 games for the Tigers last season. He moved on to Southern Illinois as a graduate transfer for this season. Suggs missed the first four games because of injury but has started the last seven.

Missouri: With a winter storm dropping snow, and the students out of town on holiday break, Mizzou Arena was almost empty and hushed Sunday. The atmosphere will be dramatically different on Saturday when Missouri and Illinois fans will fill the Enterprise Center in St. Louis for the annual Braggin' Rights rivalry game. The Tigers ended a five-year losing streak against the Illini last year.

Bears lose at VCU 61-51

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Cam Mack had the first-ever triple-double for Nebraska, Dachon Burke scored 18 points and the Cornhuskers gave Fred Hoiberg his first Big Ten win with a 70-56 victory over Purdue on Sunday.

Mack had 11 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists as the Cornhuskers (5-6, 1-1) won for the first time in four games and less than 48 hours after a 96-90 overtime loss at Indiana. The rebounds and assists are a career-high for Mack.

Burke made four 3-pointers, including one that pushed Nebraska's lead to double digits in the last 3 minutes, and he followed that with a fast-break dunk off Mack's pass to all but finish off the Boilermakers.

Trevion Williams led the Boilermakers (6-4, 1-1) with career highs of 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Purdue's Matt Haarms left the game with 6:10 remaining with an apparent head injury. The 7-foot-3 Haarms and Nebraska walk-on guard Charlie Easley got tangled up as Easley drove to the basket. Haarms hit his head on the floor and was tended to by athletic trainers. He staggered as he got up and, with assistance, went to the locker room. After the game, Purdue coach Matt Painter said it was his understanding Haarms had a concussion.

No. 2 Kansas rolls past Kansas City at Sprint Center 98-57

NEWARK, N.J. -- With its top scorer being held in check, Mississippi State turned to its secondary players to record a 67-61 win over Kansas State on Saturday in the first game of the Never Forget Tribute Classic

Tyson Carter scored 14 points, but struggled with his shot, making only 3 of 13 from the floor. However, the senior guard was 7 of 10 from the line for the Bulldogs (7-2).

Abdul Ado, who entered the game averaging just 3.8 points for Mississippi State, scored a season-high 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Robert Woodard II scored 12 with 10 rebounds and D.J. Stewart Jr. added 10 points for the Bulldogs.

"If you told me we were going to win the game with Tyson (Carter) and (guard) Reggie (Perry) going 5 for 27 (from the floor) I would have been skeptical at best," said Mississippi State coach Ben Howland. "Our other players stepped up offensively and Tyson did a lot of tough, hard-nosed things for us today."

Cartier Diarra scored 20 points and Mike McGuirl added 14 for Kansas State (6-4).

McGuirl's tip-in with 59.4 to go drew Kansas State to within 64-61, but Carter sealed it with two free throws with 10 seconds left.

Stewart's free throw capped a 7-0 Bulldogs' run for a 62-58 lead with 2:04 to play.

Mississippi State took the lead for good 59-58 on a layup from Stewart with 3:11 left and a jumper from Carter on the next possession pushed the Bulldogs' lead to 61-58.

Carter, who carries the bulk of the Bulldog workload, averaging 33 minutes, scored five of his team's final 12 points,

"We want him (Carter) to have the ball when the game is on the line and they have to foul," Howland said.

The Bulldogs tied it at 55 on two free throws from Reggie Perry with 5:05 to play.

Mississippi State trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half.

Kansas State, which shot 6 of 11 from 3-point range in the first half, failed to connect from long distance on its seven shots in the second half. It finished 32.6% from beyond the arc for the game.

"I thought in the first half we did a decent job of moving the ball side-to-side," said Kansas State coach Bruce Weber. "In the second half maybe not quite as much."

Diarra leads the Wildcats in assists, averaging seven a game, but didn't record one in 35 minutes and he turned the ball over three times.

Kansas State was playing its first game in New Jersey since 2006. Mississippi State played in the Never Forget Tribute Classic last year.

Kansas State: With its offense continuing to develop, Kansas State has had to rely on its defensive prowess. The Wildcats lead the Big 12 in average points allowed and defensive field goal percentage. They held Mississippi State to 40% shooting (23 of 58).

Mississippi State: The Bulldogs need to find a consistent scorer to take the pressure off guard Tyson Carter, who has led his team in scoring in five of the first eight games. He scored 14 points on Saturday on 3-of-13 shooting.

Missouri adds D.J. Smith to football coaching staff

LOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Rob Phinisee spent the first part of this season watching his Indiana teammates do the heavy lifting as he recovered from injuries.

On Friday night, he finally showed everyone what he could do when healthy.

The sophomore guard scored seven of his season-high 16 points at the start of overtime, set up another basket with an assist and helped the Hoosiers hold off Nebraska 96-90.

"It was very satisfying actually," he said. "I really made shots when my team needed them and really just tried to make a big play when my team needed it."

And on a night the Hoosiers defense got shredded again, the Hoosiers needed everything Phinisee could muster as he tries to play himself back into game shape.

He's already missed five games this season with abdominal and ankle injuries as well as a concussion, and after playing a key role in Tuesday's victory over Connecticut, Phinisee went 6 of 10 from the field, made two 3-pointers and dished out four assists -- logging a season-high 26 1/2 minutes.

"Rob being back basically saved us all week," coach Archie Miller said. "He's a guy who's engaged and you could tell tonight he's a guy who's got his bounce back."

Phinisee had plenty of help as Indiana (10-1, 1-1 Big Ten) won its second straight.

Freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 22 of his season-high 25 points in the second half and grabbed 15 rebounds for his fifth double-double. Justin Smith also added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cornhuskers (4-6, 0-1) certainly made things difficult.

They rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final four minutes of regulation, forcing overtime when Dachon Bruke Jr. made a 3 to tie the score at 82 with 1 second left. He finished with a career 25.

But Phinisee opened the overtime by driving for the go-ahead layup. And after Jackson-Davis made 1 of 2 free throws, Phinisee knocked down a 3 to make it 88-82, drove for a layup to give the Hoosiers a five-point lead and then dished to Jackson-Davis for another layup to make it 94-88.

Nebraska didn't get closer than two the rest of the game.

"Disappointing, obviously, but I told our guys if we go out and play with that kind of effort we're going to have a chance to win a lot of games this year," Cornhuskers coach Fred Hoiberg said. "We got the ball where we wanted to get it most of the night, unfortunately, we didn't do it late.

Nebraska: With 14 newcomers this season, the Cornhuskers needed some time to time to jell. But in their sixth consecutive game outside of Lincoln, it looks like Nebraska may have found a solution -- even without starting guard Jervay Green. Nebraska played a solid game, especially defensively, and repeatedly took advantage of Indiana's defensive breakdowns to get to the rim.

Indiana: When the Hoosiers failed to knock out Nebraska early, they settled down and gutted out another victory.
