Gary Wheeler Karnes 75, of Savannah, MO. passed away Wednesday August 12, 2020 in a Saint Joseph, Missouri Hospital. 

He was born August 11, 1945 in Inglewood, California son of the late Ethel &amp; John Karns. He graduated from Lafayette High School. He retired from Orthopedics and Sports Medicine formerly known as Midland Orthopedics as a Surgical Tech after 30 plus years of service. He loved to sing, fish, hunt, and golfing, and his beloved dog, Hans. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and served as their church choir director for many years. He also was a member of the singing group called the Hallelujah company, the Days Journey gospel duo, the Pony Expressmen barber shop chorus, which became the Heart of America Barber Shop Chorus singers, he also directed the Sweet Adeline's in Trenton Missouri, and was known for his baritone voice. 

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Cameron Lollar, brother, John H. Karns Jr., two nieces, and two nephews. 

He is survived by wife Becky Bell of the home, daughter, LaRenda (Rick) Lollar, Chillicothe, MO, son Gary Wheeler "Chip" (Nikki) Karnes II, Chillicothe, MO., daughter, Corinne (Ken) Erich, Savannah, son, Nick (Jezyl) Bell, St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren, Calvin Lollar (Whitney), Cyrsten Lollar (Tanner), Shawna Karnes(Kipper) Karnes, PFC Kirby Bell, Carissa Adkins, Maggie Erich, Kenneth Thompson, Asher Erich, Kaysen Bell, Faith Bell, Hope Bell, great grandson, Jaxon Lollar, sister, Faith Waller, St. Joseph, MO, nephews, John (Janet) Karns, and Jason Karns. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Sunday, with a celebration of life following at 3:00 pm at the Wesley United Methodist Church. The inurnment will be at a later date at the Ebenezer Cemetery. He will be cremated under the care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. Diane Christine Pace 68, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. 

She was born February 20, 1952 in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Kennedy High School and Missouri Western with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. She worked as an accountant in St. Joseph. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening, crafts of all kinds, reading, bowling, roller skating, and scuba diving, and she loved westerns. She was a member of the Non Traditional Student Association at Missouri Western, the AMA honor society and the Green Valley Baptist Church. 

Diane was preceded in death by mother, Mary Sheehan and step father Bill, father, James Varvaris, and a brother, James Varvaris. 

Survivors include husband, Gary Pace, son, Erik (Holly) Pace, Kansas City, MO, daughter, Sarena Olson, Atchison, KS, four grandchildren: Antoinette Olson, Alanna Olson, Blake Olson, and Alexa Olson, great grandchildren, Isabella, Eliena, Paisley, and Makinley, sisters, Kathy Varvaris, and Irene Borchardt. 

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Shirley Ann Berry 83, of Easton, Missouri passed away Tuesday August 11, 2020 in a Gower health care center. 

She was born March 10, 1937 in Meade, Kansas daughter of the late Flora &amp; Guy Lemasters. She married Charles Berry on June 17, 1955 and he survives of the home. She attended Clarksdale high school and was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, watching westerns, and sitting on the porch and watching the birds. She was Baptist. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Orville and Max Lemasters, sisters, Alice Davis, and Floy Hitzelberger, and son Otto Warren Berry. 

She is survived by husband, Charles Berry, Easton, MO., son Chuck Berry, Cabool, MO, daughters, Wonda Berry, St. Joseph and Tish (Jesse) Montemayor, Easton, MO, sisters, Rose (Bob) Foster, Lois (Junior) Ochse, Daisy (Jim) Middleton, Donna (Eddie) Rian, and Linda Older, grandchildren, Charles A. Berry Jr. Jeremy Howe, Kanyon Montemayor, and Kianna Montemayor. 

There will be a celebration of life at a later date, Ms. Berry has been cremated under the care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

Shirley Ann Berry  1937 - 2020

Shirley Darlene Burton, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on August 12, 2020 at the age of 89 years, just a few weeks shy of her 90th&nbsp;birthday, in St. Joseph, Mo.

She was born at home on August 28, 1930, in St. Joseph, daughter of Roy and Francis Kunkle.

She attended Neely Elementary School where she met her lifelong best friend, Wanda Weddington, at the age of 5.&nbsp; After graduating from Central High School in 1948 at the age of 18, they both traveled together to New York City and Niagara Falls before returning home and to work.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

She worked at a variety of jobs including Quaker Oats, Noma Lights, and Poor Boy Service Station. She met her husband Harold while working at Quaker Oats and got married on Flag Day in 1952, which accounts for her love of the flag, all things patriotic, and the colors red, white, and blue. She and Harold raised 6 children.&nbsp;

Shirley had a passion for volunteer work in her community.&nbsp; She was involved in Girl Scouts for over 35 years as a leader and trainer.&nbsp; She received the accreditation from the American Camp Association.&nbsp; She also helped in the community by delivering meals, teaching crafts, and serving on the board of the Women’s Division of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce.

Shirley was a dedicated church member of Wesley United Methodist Church. When she was physically able, she was very involved in church activities.&nbsp; Over the years, she helped teach children Sunday school and Bible school.&nbsp; She was very active in the Women’s church group and was once president of Wesley United Methodist Women.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold Dee Burton; her eldest child, Delmas, her parents, Roy Kunkle, Sr. and Francis Kunkle; her sisters, Alberta, Virginia, and Marjorie Kunkle, and her brother, Roy Kunkle, Jr (Ermil).

She is survived by five of her children: Candy (Jeanne Kirchner), Tucson, AZ; Darcy (Nancy Mastroianni), Reno, NV; Mark (Joan), Easton, MO; Scott (Monica), Phoenix, AZ; and Jay (Heather), St. Joseph, MO.&nbsp; In addition, Shirley considered David (Mary and Andrew) Bish, St. Joseph, MO, to be part of her family.

She was blessed with and survived by eight grandchildren: Jeffery (Tara), Codey (Rachel), Chelsey (Adam), Kyle (Sierra), Maggie (Curtis), Elizabeth (Julio), Elijah (Courtney), Michael (Abigail).&nbsp; She was also blessed with seven great grandchildren: Ronnie, Autumn, Dominic, Jaxson, Kazeden, Finn, and Amelia.

Due to the unprecedented times, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.

The family requests that donations be made in her memory to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3409 Ajax Rd, St. Joseph, MO 64503.

Billy W. Cornelius, 74 of St. Joseph, died August 11, 2020.&nbsp; Billy was born July 19, 1946, in St. Joseph, to Aubery and Betty Lou (Kieser) Cornelius.&nbsp;

He married Janice Wilson on May 15, 1970, and she preceded her in death on July 18, 2011.&nbsp; Also preceding him in death was his father and step-father, Donald Cornelius.

Survivors include his mother Betty Cornelius; brother Ronald; two daughters, Billie Jean Ward (Robert), Janice Burnett (Daniel); grandchildren, Kody Cornelius, Christian Hurt, Jr., Ashley Hurt (Jordan) Samantha Ramirez (Jose'), Joshua Burnett (Trinity), Jamie Burnett (Mariah), Joby Nolan, Joey Nolan (Elle), Lacey Nolan; step-children, Robert Herring (Vickie), Janetta Boyton (Victor), Deanna Herring, Tammy Yerington; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Billy was a rodeo champion with his beloved horse Sam in his younger years.&nbsp; He enjoyed his life being outdoors, farming, and helping others throughout his life.&nbsp; He enjoyed his children and grandchildren.&nbsp; He never knew a stranger and was a "social butterfly".

Services will be Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery.&nbsp; Friends may view Billy,&nbsp; Friday, August 14, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.

Billy Cornelius  1946 - 2020

Florence J. Rutland, 86, of Robinson, died Monday evening, August 10, 2020, at Midland Hospice in Topeka where she had been a short time.

Florence was born April 17, 1934, in Ft. Collins, CO, one of eight children born to Frank Thomas and Laveena Catherine Hosier Nockhold.&nbsp; The family lived in Wellington and Englewood, CO where she grew up, attended school and Englewood High School, later working hard to earn her GED.

She was married to Lawrence Richard Garman, June 6, 1952, at Littleton, CO.&nbsp; To this union eight children were born:&nbsp; Glenn, Norman, Ollie, Mark, Brenda, and three children that died in infancy before they divorced.&nbsp; She had moved to Kansas in 1976 and moved to Hiawatha from Holton in 1982. &nbsp;Throughout her life, she was busy raising:&nbsp; &nbsp;her family, being a den mother in Cub Scouts in Colorado when the boys were small, along with working as a housekeeper in nursing homes or hospitals. Upon moving to Kansas, Florence had worked at Flair Fold wood fabrication plant in Hiawatha for over 7 years. She also liked to read and do crafts.

She met and later married Harold Rutland, December 20, 1992 at Hiawatha.&nbsp; They made Hiawatha their home until moving to Robinson. They attended the First Christian Church in Hiawatha. He died March 14, 2005.&nbsp; She continued to live in Robinson until her health failed and moved to Maple Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to make her home in 2013.

Survivors include her children:&nbsp; Glenn Garman, Norman Garman, Ollie Sample, Mark Garman, Brenda Garman; 13 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is also survived by two sisters:&nbsp; Betty Nix and Dora Keffer.

Florence was also preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks from 10 until 6 Thursday afternoon.

Graveside services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 14, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

She was born on December 26, 1922 in Winthrop, Missouri to Otis and Helen Allen. Margaret married David Wayne Wells May 13, 1948. He preceded her in death July 11, 2001. They had lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, Bloomfield Hills and Pontiac, Michigan before moving back to St. Joseph, Missouri several years ago. She was a member of Faith United Church. Margaret enjoyed painting, gardening, crocheting, and playing solitaire.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, John Paul Allen.

Vincent Paul Hernandez 53, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones, Saturday April 25, 2020 at St. Joseph, Missouri after a long battle with heart disease. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Chapel with the graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 26th &amp; Lovers Lane. He married Sennie Dickens Pierson on 11-26-1985 and had one child, (Jessica). He later married Pamela Jo Smith on 2-11-1989 and had two children, (Leighann and Tyler). Vince enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1985 and served at Ft. Lewis, Washington. He then began his civilian career working at Weyerhaeuser. Upon moving back to St. Joseph, Missouri, he began his life-long career as a “concrete man”, working for Precision Foundation. He also worked as a serviceman/technician for Miller Pipe Line in Kansas City, Missouri for two years. In his youth, Vince was a superb athlete excelling at baseball, participating in the Bronco World Series held in St. Joseph, Missouri. As a pitcher, he struck out 18 consecutive batters during one game. He could fill and do a good job at just about any position on the baseball field. He also was active in softball, basketball and football. He loved NASCAR racing, especially Dale Jr., watching the Royals and Chiefs play as well as just about any other sport he could find to watch. He loved the outdoors, cooking, BBQ, music, dancing and being with family and friends. Vince’s sense of humor always put a smile on your face or laughter in the air, he loved telling everyone that there were two things to know about concrete; 1. It will crack and 2. No one can steal it!

Vince is survived by his forever partner, Lori Bussell, his daughters, Jessica Pierson and Leighann Hernandez and son, Tyler (Briana) Lown, and Ben Mauzey, his mother and stepfather, Carol and Toby Force, his step-mother, Mary Schafer Hernandez, siblings, Chris (Ed) Crouse, Tammy Force, Brian (Carrie) Hernandez and Tony (Laura) Force, along with his grandchildren, Caitlyn and Jackson Tedrow, Lilee, Amelia and Ezra Lown, Chloe Oliphant, his sister-in-law, Valorie Hurt Hernandez, numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Shawn Turner and companion dog, Buddy.

Dr. Sharon Carol Wagner, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020.

She was born July 4, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas to Glenn and Ruth (Uglow) Wagner. Sharon was a teacher her entire life; elementary, middle, high school and college. She would even teach others the things she loved, such as sewing, quilting and cross stitch. One of her most favorite things was to sing. Sharon was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s River Song group. She received her first education degree in Home Economics, then went on to get her PHD in retail at the age of 50 years old, after which she transitioned to teach Marketing. Sharon earned her PHD at Kansas State University. She was a professor at the University of Wisconsin Madison, then at Brenau University where she taught Marketing. She then taught Marketing at and retired from Missouri Western Business College.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Charlie.

Survivors include son, Glenn Wagner (Lynna); daughter, Deborah Doscher (Mike); grandchildren, Brittany, John, Stephen, Rose and Mary Wagner; her beloved cat, Ozzie; extended family and friends.

Marvin “Kody” Free, 63, Agency, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020.

He was born April 30, 1957 in Cameron, Missouri to Marvin and Myrtle (White) Free. Kody married Cynthia Rose McCann October 26, 1985. She preceded him in death August 25, 2015. He was a farmer for over 30 years then later worked for the healthcare pharmaceutical industry from 2003 to present. Kody enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, trapping and the outdoors. He went on many adventurous hunting trips, the most memorable was in Canada where he finally got his black bear with his bow. He loved watching his children’s activities and was always willing to help them in any way he could. Kody was a firm believer in God and brought his children up in the faith and knowledge of God. He taught them the meaning of true love, as he loved his wife, Cynthia and his children more than anything. Kody was very compassionate and an encourager. He had a smile and laugh that was very infectious.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Timothy.

Marion "Gene" E. Sutton 87, of Clarksdale, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at his home. 

He was born July 6, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Dorothy and William Sutton. He attended Benton High School, and he served in the United States Navy. He was the Owner and Operator of Gene's Tile Service for over 50 years, retiring at age 79. He enjoyed John Wayne Westerns, spending time with his grandchildren, and he was the prayer warrior for his community. Gene was a Christian. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Sutton, and daughter, Gina Spaeth.

She graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph in 1955.

She worked at the St. Joseph State Hospital as an activity aide until sustaining a disabling injury in 1987.

Linda loved playing the lottery and the casino slots.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son; Mark E. Ellingsworth.

From film and music to art and food, no matter the topic, talking with Martin was always a fun ride that you never wanted to end. Martin Nelson, 60, died August 5, 2020, in Glenview, Illinois from a long illness. Martin is survived by his wife Karen Gaebe of Wilmette, IL, his step-children George Rezek and Jane Rezek; sisters Cindy Pinhas (Pensacola, FL), Robin Mertins (Pensacola, FL), and Maureen Nelson (Washington, D.C.); nephews Aaron Pinhas, Isaac Pinhas and wife Rebeca, and niece Kyle Mertins; sisters-in-law Susan Everett and husband Jon and Lauren Bakker-Arkema and husband Peter and their families. Martin’s parents, Marvin and Marilyn Nelson, predeceased him. Martin also leaves behind an extended family and many great friends. As a small boy, Martin was a constant source of amusement, irritation and affection for his three older sisters, some of which lessened—or increased—as he grew older. Originally from St. Joseph, Missouri, Martin graduated from Central High School in 1978. He attended Carnegie Mellon (Pittsburgh, PA) and The American University (Washington, D.C.), graduating in 1982. He was a resident of Washington, D.C. before relocating to Chicago, where he met the love of his life, Karen in 2007. An independent Emmy award-winning film and video editor, Martin worked for National Geographic, NBC, CNBC, Discovery Channel, PBS, HGTV, Harpo Productions and many other producers. He edited documentaries and fictional films, as well as TV shows, true crime series, movie trailers and commercials. He created the “Godfather Minute” series of short animated films about Jewish history and holidays, which he described as “scholarly-adjacent lessons for my goddaughter Miranda; for my great-nephew and niece Oren and Ava; and for anyone else looking to get it wrong.” Any celebration of Martin’s life would highlight his keen wit, his great taste, his puns, and his colorful choice of shirts. A man known for his incredible hair and beard and a wonderful sense of style, Martin was someone you could hear from across the room over any din and all eyes always gravitated towards him. Martin was a great cook with flair—especially if it was spicy food; a fan of all genres of music—especially if it was Tom Waits; a voracious reader—especially if it was Michael Chabon; a lover of movies—especially if it was directed by Alan Rudolph and an avid collector of outsider art—especially if it was Lupus Garrett. Martin has left an everlasting mark on us all. From work colleagues to close friends and family, he will be forever loved and missed. As his wife Karen said, “He is one well-loved man and I’m lucky to call him mine.” We were all lucky to call him ours. Charles “Dub” Teetor, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020.

He was born June 18, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri to Stan and Shirley (Stith) Teetor. Charles married Shaela Painter August 4, 2016; she survives of the home. He was a very devoted grandfather that loved spending time with his grandchildren. Charles enjoyed watching sports, especially the Royals. He loved listening to The Beatles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Scott Teetor.

He was born October 21, 1940, to David R. and Betty Bradley Smith. He attended Lafayette High School and graduated from Missouri Western State College. He served in the U.S. Army Security Agency in Germany from January, 1960 to April, 1963. George retired from the United States Postal Service in 1998 after 35 years of service. He occasionally attempted to play golf.

George is preceded in death by his parents and brother, David C. Smith. 

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Waltraud “Woodie” Smith, son Fr. Mark Smith of Marshall, Missouri, and daughter and son-in-law Michael and Susan Smith Dodson of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Private service and cremation was held due to the ongoing pandemic. A Celebration of Life is planned for the future.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He was born June 27, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Roy and Minnie (Daugherty) Stufflebean. Arthur married Eva May Hocking December 11, 1953. She preceded him in death October 8, 2014. He worked at Blue Town Tavern in 1960, then later various construction jobs, Powder River and Snorkel. Arthur was very proud of his service in the United States Army. He enjoyed buying and selling cars, working on lawnmowers, socializing and was a very good friend to many.

He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Angela K.; parents; brothers, Ernest, Orville, LeRoy “Bud”, Earl; sister, Margaret; and brother-in-law, Howard.

He was born September 2, 1937 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William and Koleta (Preston) Lewis. Bill graduated from Lafayette High School, Class of 1955 and was also an active member in the ROTC. He drafted in the United States Army in 1960, based at Fort Carson, Colorado Missile Command. After his military service he worked for Moore’s Welding and Supply as a Northwest Missouri route driver, the later at Land Red-E-Mix until 1986. After retirement her did other numerous jobs. Bill was active in the Lafayette Booster Club and in his class reunions from the 25th year through the 55th year. He enjoyed traveling through the states, especially to Northern Michigan, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Bill was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph and witnessed the infinite changes during his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Marvin.

On August 5, 2020, Robert “Bob” Eugene O’Callaghan ran into the arms of his Lord &amp; Savior. 

What a celebration in Heaven it must have been to have been finally reunited with his mother and father, Lena May &amp; Christopher O’Callaghan, his eight brother and sisters: Theda, JD, Evelyn, Harold, Marian, Leon, Meredith, and Rose and his sweet grandbaby, Chance O’Callaghan. Bob came into the world on September 14, 1931, at his home in Trenton, Missouri. Soon after, his family moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, where he was raised. After his four older brothers went off to fight in WWII, Bob took over the responsibilities as “Man of the House.” Starting at the young age of 10, Bob worked a variety of odd jobs to support his mother and younger siblings. This was the beginning of a lifelong journey displaying his strong work ethic and dedication to support and care for his family. On September 17, 1953, Bob married the love of his life, JoAnn Churchill. They spent the next 67 years building a life founded on God’s faithfulness. Their love began with a trip to the ice cream parlor and lasted over the next seven decades. They enjoyed years of family vacations, matching t-shirts, and Bob serenading her to “You are my Sunshine.” Bob was an avid storyteller, he never failed to captivate his audience with stories of his pranking days. From his adventures working at Wonder Bread bakery, to dressing up as a clown for children’s birthday parties, to his “dog house” days as a custodian at Central High School. Bob never met a stranger. He had the ability to make everyone feel like they were his best friend. However, Bob did the very best in being a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great, great-grandfather. 

His children Terry (Steve) Fisher, Mike (Juanita) O’Callaghan, Robin (Jim) Longnecker, and Donna (Chuck) Adkins. His grandchildren, Stephanie (Robbie) Riggs, Andy (Megan) Fisher, Shawn (Jennifer) Fisher, Courtney (Clint) O’Callaghan, Heather (Brad) Taylor, Amy (Neil) Stangeland, Aubrey (Timmy) Tucker, Ashley (Nathan) Sosa, and Chauncey (Jacob) Grubb. His great-grandchildren: Kayle (Kyle), Kelsey, Scott, Kaythlyn, Clareece, Seth, Hunter, Maylee, Ryker, KJ, and Sebastian. And his great-great-grandchild: Barrett and two more great-grandbabies on the way. Also surviving, Sister-in-law Bernie (Kenny) Springs. 

Bob will be missed most by his family and friends for his laughter and joking nature. Memories of waking his grandkids up to “Sail Around Old Hawk” tickles, serenading his family with Gene Autry’s, “Back in the Saddle,” his love for making funny faces, and his willingness to always to give advice and lend a helping hand will stay with his family forever. Bob was a faithful member and Elder at Faith Bible Church. The most extravagant thing Bob and JoAnn did was paying their tithes. Bob’s life truly represented God’s transforming love and grace. He exemplified what Man of God is. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has gone to prepare a place for his bride, JoAnn. This isn’t goodbye, only see you later.

Robert "Bob" Eugene OCallaghan  1931 - 2020

Our precious mother and Oma, Helen Alldredge met the Lord and husband Charles at Heaven's gates on Monday, August 3, 2020.&nbsp; 

Though we lost a sweet and loving mother, grandmother and friend, heaven gained an angel with an outgoing spirit and larger than life personality.&nbsp; Her smile, we are sure, makes heaven that much brighter.&nbsp; "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord". II Corinthians 5:8. There is no greater peace for the family than to know where our sweet angel is and to know she is with her soul mate, her one and only, husband Charles Alldredge and is sitting in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Helen was born to the late Ernest and Ella (Hetzel) Belverstone on April 23, 1934 in Linton, ND. She fell in love and was married to Charles E. Alldredge on September 1, 1951 in Belle Fourche, SD. Her love for Charles was undeniable and seen by the life they made with one another.&nbsp; As a military wife she followed Charles to various states and even countries, all while raising 5 beautiful children.&nbsp; Both Helen and Charles enjoyed helping with Little League and were involved in all aspects of their children's lives.

After the children were grown, Charles encouraged Helen to go back to school and with only an 8th grade education, Helen obtained her LPN license and worked as a nurse where she enjoyed caring for the elderly.&nbsp; Dancing, word search, listening to music of all genres from Gospel, patriotic to western music and of course playing BINGO were a few of her favorite past time activities.

Helen is survived by her children: Ruth (Steve) Meyer, Karon Milbourn, Patricia (Ron) Worden, Charles (Kris) Alldredge and Malisa (Chuck) Callaway, 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 17 great great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles.

Thank you to Carriage Square Assisted Living and Crossroads Hospice for the excellent care given to our angel the past three years.&nbsp; We are beyond thankful for the time God allowed us to have with her.

Visitation 9:00 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. Service will follow at 10:00 AM.&nbsp; Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery.
