It is with great sadness that the family of Reginald “Reggie” Jay Warner announces his passing on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the age of 61 years after a prolonged illness. 

Reggie will be lovingly remembered by his father, Dale Warner and his siblings, Cynde (Gregg) Hoffman, Jerry Warner and Kevin Warner. He will also be fondly remembered by his stepchildren Lonnie Lemley and Timothy Lemley, as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Lonelle Warner, his mother, Mary Warner and his brother Michael Warner.

Reggie was born on September 15, 1959 in Saint Joseph, MO. He grew up in California, and served in the United States Army. He returned to Saint Joseph where he met and married his wife Lonnelle. Reggie proudly worked for the Stetson Hat, Co. He loved the challenge of repairing machines and thinking outside the box to get equipment up and running. He also enjoyed drawing, word working and electronics. Although COVID prevented family members from visiting Reggie over the past months, his family owes a debt of gratitude to his caregivers at Riverside Place and especially his nurse Carmen who supported and cared for him over the past two years. The invaluable support received from Freudenthal Hospice provided opportunities for family zoom celebrations and face-time calls. We are forever grateful to Stephanie who made all of this happen.

Dennis L. Pepper, 74, of Commerce, Texas &nbsp;passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Nursing home in Highland. Kansas&nbsp;

Dennis was born on July 18, 1946 in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp; He graduated from Lafayette High School and attended Missouri Western.&nbsp; Dennis worked for Sherwood Medical in Elwood, Kansas from 1976 until the flood of 1993, then moved to Commerce, Texas and continued working for Sherwood Medical until retiring in 2005.&nbsp;

He was a Navy veteran.&nbsp; Dennis was a member and &nbsp;Past-commander of the Commerce American Legion Post #1, he also had served as financial officer of the Legion.&nbsp; He was a member of the Texas A&amp;M of Commerce Veterans Vigil Committee and had been honored as a “flame lighter” of the Eternal Flame at Texas A&amp;M &nbsp;

Dennis married Janis Morton on November 18, 1966 in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp; She survives at the Highland Healthcare Center in Highland, Kansas.&nbsp; He was preceded by his parents and a brother, James B. Stoneburner.&nbsp;

Vera Lou Bacon, 32, of St Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 in St. Joseph. She was born December 6, 1987 in St. Joseph, daughter of Pamela and Robin Bacon. Harlan H. Smither, 82 of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at Oregon Care Center. Harlan was born December 1, 1937 to the late Enos and Grace (Allen) Smither in Amazonia, Missouri. He married his wife, Carolyn (Jenkins) Smither, April 19, 1957 in St. Joseph, Missouri; and had three beautiful children, Wayne, Sherlyn and Keith.

He was in the Naval Reserve for 8 years, from 1958 to 1966. During his time he worked as a First Class Signalman and retired as a Petty Officer III.

Surviving of the home, his wife, Carolyn; children, Wayne (Lori) Smither, Sherlyn Jurgensen, and Keith (Teresa) Smither; sister, Hester (Frank) Hess; sister-in-law, Priscilla Jenkins; grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael (Kathy), Chris (Frankie), Stephanie, Drew (Lauren), Hannah, Travis (Chloe), Angie and Haylee; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Haylee Smither; Sister, Betty June Parker; and two sisters-in-law, Madeena Jenkins and Edene Locklear.

Harlan was very devoted to his church. He was a Deacon at Green Valley Baptist Church. During his spare time he would volunteer at Second Harvest, was an avid gardener, and loved playing his Chet Adkins guitar. He was a friend of Bill's.

Services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Green&nbsp; Valley Baptist Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at St. John's Cemetery in Amazonia, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Ken Burenheide passed on to meet his maker due to natural causes.&nbsp; He grew up in Olpe, Kansas the youngest of four children to Fred and Caroline Burenheide.&nbsp; After completing high school, he matriculated to Emporia State University and he graduated with a degree in Education.&nbsp; While at Emporia, he met his first wife, LeAnn Hensley and from this union were born two sons, Brian and Brad.&nbsp; The couple moved to Clearwater, Kansas where he began his teaching career.&nbsp; The couple moved to Sabetha, Kansas and there Ken spent 33 of his 37 years of teaching in the Sabetha school district teaching, coaching, scorekeeping, sponsoring activities, teaching driver’s education and impacting lives of his students, many of whom kept in contact after his career.

He would remarry later in life to Janet Babbs of Hiawatha, Kansas and took her kids as his own.&nbsp;&nbsp; Mark and Ronda were added to his family and Janet and Ken bought an acreage to which a pond was quickly added and his dream of having a farm pond and his own hobby farm was fulfilled.&nbsp; There he grew a small crop each year and he spent a large portion of his retirement years with a favorite hobby of fishing.&nbsp;

He is survived by his wife, Janet, of the home.&nbsp;&nbsp; His children, Brian Burenheide (Julie) of Sabetha.&nbsp;&nbsp; Brad Burenheide (Eileen) of Westmoreland and their children Anthony, Hannah, Drew, Brooklyn, Madison, and Samuel.&nbsp; Ronda Ferris (Terry) of Hiawatha and their children Jessie, Lane, and Levi.&nbsp; Mark Babbs of Hiawatha and also five great grandchildren, Lacey, Raven, Benjamin, Athena, and Arwen.&nbsp;

Ken had lifelong obsessions of building, tinkering, hunting, and fishing.&nbsp; This has been passed down to his children and grandchildren.&nbsp; Additionally, Ken was the type of person who would do whatever he could to help out a friend in need.&nbsp;&nbsp; As has been said on many occasions, the two dates that began this obituary are but the starting and ending point of his life.&nbsp; But the dash connecting the dates was with filled laughter, love, care, and selfless giving.&nbsp;

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Thursday where a parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., followed by family visiting with friends until 8.

Mass of Christian Burial:&nbsp; 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 21, at St. Anns Catholic Church in Hiawatha, with Father Dan Gardner as celebrant.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

He was born March 11, 2004 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Owen, “oDoG311” loved video games. He also enjoyed spending times with friends, golfing, riding dirt bikes and fast cars.

Owen was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Howard and Clayton Jr. Shepherd; grandmother, Debbie Shepherd; great-grandfathers, Darrel Lollar, Clayton O. Shepherd; great-grandmother, Ruth Bowlin.

Donna Lee (Oyerly) Bailey, 84, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020.

She was born August 13, 1936 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Clarence and Sarah (Alexander) Oyerly. Donna married Roy Edward Bailey, Sr. April 6, 1957. He preceded her in death June 20, 2008. She worked at Woolworth for 40 years, then later at Walmart for 15 years. Donna loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed crafting, westerns, and also loved Elvis but most of all spending time with her family. Donna never knew a stranger and loved everyone, if you needed anything she was always there.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Dara Lee Sowell and Joshua Michael Bailey.

Survivors include children, Rolinda Sowell (Dean), Nancy Bailey, Roy Bailey, Jr., Chris Bailey; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great children; numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol H. Gilpin, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020.

She was born October 31, 1928, in Hinsdale, Illinois to Gardner and Imogene (Burns) Howland. Carol graduated from Downers Grove High School where she was active in musicals and girls’ intramurals for which she received the GAA Cup during her senior year. She attended Knox College where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and then attended Iowa State University. Carol graduated from the University of California—Berkeley with a Bachelors’ degree in Home Economics. She moved to St. Joseph in 1952 where she raised her four surviving children. After receiving her teaching certification from Missouri Western with the first graduating class in 1969, Carol taught at Central High School for 23 years in the History Department. She also enjoyed being the scorekeeper at Central for both basketball and football games for many years. Carol was a member of Brookdale Presbyterian Church. Prior to joining Brookdale, she belonged to Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a church Elder and the Clerk of Session for several years. Over her lifetime she was a 70-year church choir member. Mom loved her church families.

Music was very important in Mom’s life. As a young mother she sang at funerals for Rupp Funeral Home to earn extra money for her family. Many have remembered our Mother playing albums in her CHS classroom during exams and moving to the music. Even at her last residence, she has been remembered as a fun person who loved to sing and dance at the holiday parties. 

Our mother enjoyed Jeopardy, trivia, Sudoku, crossword puzzles and sports of all kinds. Memorable sports experiences include skipping a day of high school to attend game seven of the 1945 World Series—the last World Series game the Chicago Cubs played for 71 years; attending two Final Fours to see her nephew’s teams play; and traveling to see her grandson Graham quarterback his Florida Atlantic University team. She loved to travel to her daughter Mary’s house in Los Angeles, California, and the Carolinas. She was an avid knitter and many family and friends have been the fortunate recipients of her afghans, scarves and baby blankets, many of which were sent on international mission trips and given to local charities.

Mom was an excellent cook and really knew how to stretch a dollar. She had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and loved a good pun. She could talk with anyone and being around teenagers for decades contributed to that gift. Most of all Mom loved God and her family. She was a very loving mother who wouldn’t hesitate to do anything for her family. She will be dearly missed but we take comfort knowing that she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her son Edward, her parents, her sister, Jean Isabel Tozer; brothers, Gardner Stuart Howland, Jr. and Robert Lee Howland.

Survivors include children, Richard Gilpin (Millie), Ann Weston (Don), Douglas Gilpin (Lara), Mary Wilbert (John); grandchildren, Joel Gerhardt, Merryl Nik-Khah, Douglas Gerhardt, Graham Wilbert, Sarah Wilbert, Brett Gilpin, Gardner Gilpin, Jacqueline Gilpin, Step-grandchildren Michael and Nicholas Weston, great-grandchildren, Alexander and Amelia; five step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jay Patrick McGlothlin 61, of Stanberry, MO., passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 near Stanberry, MO. 

He was born March 30, 1959 in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of the late Donna &amp; Francis McGlothlin. He attended Benton High School, and he was working at Green Energy in Stanberry, Missouri. He enjoyed everything outside, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, riding bikes, making moonshine, and he was the master of apple pie. 

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rita Haggard, and brother, Albert McGlothlin. 

 Survivors include: former wife, Barbara Fanning, Stanberry, MO, daughters, Donna McGlothlin, Bobbi Jo McGlothlin (Juan Gonzalez), Stacie Painter (William Dawson), Liberty Joyce, and Jennifer (Eddie) Brown, sons; Jay Patrick McGlothlin Jr., DJ (Jamie) McGlothlin, and Jake Jacobs, brothers, James McGlothlin, Gary (Rhonda) McGlothlin, Steve (Karla) McGlothlin, Glenn (Terry) McGlothlin, sister, Diane McGlothlin (Robert Funk), as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Bill “Billy” Nichols Jr. 64, of DeKalb, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Mercer, MO at the Mercer Drag Strip. Bill passed doing what he loved, with the one that he loved the most in this world, living life to the fullest, and enjoying every moment.

The son of Bill Sr. and Shirley (Grafton) Nichols, Bill was born May 22, 1956, and was joined in marriage to Karla White on September 10, 1983. As a husband, Bill was Karla’s soul mate, the two were inseparable in all that they did in work and play. The pair spent nearly forty years together, and found the resolve in one another that fueled the creation and operation of multiple successful businesses over the years, with many operating simultaneously.

Bill and Karla welcomed their only child, Dustin James, on November 4, 1990. Bill’s life hinged on his family, with whom he spent all of his time teaching, coaching, and cheerleading their accomplishments. As a husband, father, and “Pop”, Bill never missed an opportunity to be front-and-center. His son, Dusty, was the apple of his eye, the two were best friends, finding new hobbies and adventures…and mischief. They were peas-in-a-pod, and the bond that they shared was a special gift to them both.

It’s hard to find the right words to represent a life that was anything but representative. Every new endeavor was an opportunity to learn something, hone his craft and share with those he loved. Sought-after cabinet maker, logger, skilled gunsmith, and journeyman carpenter are only a handful of the occupation titles Bill held over the years, finally, settling into the BC-RIV family with Karla, as a maintenance technician and school bus driver. Bill thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to “keep an eye” on his grandchildren everyday, and treasured the friendships he and Karla made with the district’s students, both present and past.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved mother-in-law, “Shird” and grandparents, Jim and Opal Nichols, and Ernie and Francis Grafton.&nbsp;

Bill is survived by his wife, Karla, of the home; his son, Dustin (Melissa), DeKalb, MO; his parents, Bill Sr. and Shirley Nichols, Plattsburg, MO, grandchildren, Peyton and Ruger, siblings, Larry (Kim) Nichols, Sherri (Ron) Shatto, Cindy (Randy) Sloan, and Linda (Cliff) Boatwright, nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members.&nbsp;

Raymond Louis Thomas, 54, of Bolckow, MO, passed away in his home on August 12, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

&nbsp;Ray was born on May 13, 1966 to Rosa and Frank Thomas Sr. Ray was known for his sense of humor, hard work, and love for his family. He worked in HVAC repair for Western Enterprise for many years prior to his cancer diagnosis.

Survivors include his wife Shelby, son Wyitt, and daughter Nadia of the home; sons Shawn and Joshua (Sandra) and daughter Amanda; father Frank Thomas Sr.; brother Frank Thomas Jr; sister Kim (Mike) Frankovich; grandchildren Blayze, Jaxson, Bailey McCartney, and Casey Thomas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer and Beulah Dunham; mother Rosa Thomas; and sister Rita Marker.

A visitation for Ray will be held Monday, August 17, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel. Ray’s wish was to be cremated so there will be no graveside services.

Merlene (Pelham) Winkel, 86, of Blair, Kansas passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp;

Merlene was born on September 27, 1933 in Ozark County, Missouri to Velma Pelham.&nbsp;

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Elwood, Kansas. She was a Homemaker and taught Sunday School for over 20 years. Merlene loved her husband of 66 years, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but most of all she loved God.&nbsp;

Merlene married Floyd Winkel on October 11, 1953 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He survives of the home.&nbsp;

Merlene (Pelham) Winkel, 86, of Blair, Kansas passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.&nbsp;Merlene was born on September 27, 1933 in Ozark County, Missouri to Velma Pelham.&nbsp;She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Elwood, Kansas. She was a Homemaker and taught Sunday School for over 20 years. Merlene loved her husband of 66 years, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but most of all she loved God.&nbsp;Merlene married Floyd Winkel on October 11, 1953 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Ray was born November 9th, 1918 in Hayden, Colorado to Charles Henry and Sylvia May (Clark) Parker.&nbsp; On April 1st, 1940, Ray was united in marriage to Virginia Hanlin.&nbsp; They had the privilege of being married for 72 years.&nbsp; Virginia preceded him in death in 2012.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ray spent most of his youth growing up in St. Joseph, MO with his six siblings.&nbsp; He served in the US Army during World War II, obtaining a Rank of Tech5 and serving as a Power House Engineer in the Philippines.&nbsp; He owned and operated a Western Auto store in Troy, KS for many years and later opened his own business, Parker Auto.&nbsp; In his last years at the Cameron Veterans Home, Ray enjoyed playing card games like pitch, pinochle and poker.&nbsp; Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy.

Ray is survived by his two loving sisters, Ethel Neighbours of Carmichael, CA, and Fonda Venable of Cape Cora, FL, three children, Ray Parker, Jr. of Shawnee Mission, KS, Rodney Parker of Troy, KS and Sherry (Bill) Duley of Rolla, MO, as well as four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and several great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

On October 9, 1965, Nancy married Byron F. McManus at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Hurlinger, Missouri; they celebrated 53 years of marriage.&nbsp;

Prior to retirement she had worked for the United States Postal Service.&nbsp; Nancy was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and Psi-Phi Sorority.

Nancy loved flowers, baking, and &nbsp;being with her grandchildren.&nbsp; She enjoyed reading, crystal dishes and anything purple.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father and her husband.

Shirley Darlene Burton, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on August 12, 2020 at the age of 89 years, just a few weeks shy of her 90th&nbsp;birthday, in St. Joseph, Mo.

She was born at home on August 28, 1930, in St. Joseph, daughter of Roy and Francis Kunkle.

She attended Neely Elementary School where she met her lifelong best friend, Wanda Weddington, at the age of 5.&nbsp; After graduating from Central High School in 1948 at the age of 18, they both traveled together to New York City and Niagara Falls before returning home and to work.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

She worked at a variety of jobs including Quaker Oats, Noma Lights, and Poor Boy Service Station. She met her husband Harold while working at Quaker Oats and got married on Flag Day in 1952, which accounts for her love of the flag, all things patriotic, and the colors red, white, and blue. She and Harold raised 6 children.&nbsp;

Shirley had a passion for volunteer work in her community.&nbsp; She was involved in Girl Scouts for over 35 years as a leader and trainer.&nbsp; She received the accreditation from the American Camp Association.&nbsp; She also helped in the community by delivering meals, teaching crafts, and serving on the board of the Women’s Division of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce.

Shirley was a dedicated church member of Wesley United Methodist Church. When she was physically able, she was very involved in church activities.&nbsp; Over the years, she helped teach children Sunday school and Bible school.&nbsp; She was very active in the Women’s church group and was once president of Wesley United Methodist Women.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold Dee Burton; her eldest child, Delmas, her parents, Roy Kunkle, Sr. and Francis Kunkle; her sisters, Alberta, Virginia, and Marjorie Kunkle, and her brother, Roy Kunkle, Jr (Ermil).

She is survived by five of her children: Candy (Jeanne Kirchner), Tucson, AZ; Darcy (Nancy Mastroianni), Reno, NV; Mark (Joan), Easton, MO; Scott (Monica), Phoenix, AZ; and Jay (Heather), St. Joseph, MO.&nbsp; In addition, Shirley considered David (Mary and Andrew) Bish, St. Joseph, MO, to be part of her family.

She was blessed with and survived by eight grandchildren: Jeffery (Tara), Codey (Rachel), Chelsey (Adam), Kyle (Sierra), Maggie (Curtis), Elizabeth (Julio), Elijah (Courtney), Michael (Abigail).&nbsp; She was also blessed with seven great grandchildren: Ronnie, Autumn, Dominic, Jaxson, Kazeden, Finn, and Amelia.

Due to the unprecedented times, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.

Judy married Clifford “Dale” Stone July 21, 1977. He preceded her in death September 2, 1995.

She worked at Wire Rope Corporation of America. Judy enjoyed cooking, quilting and parties with her friends.

Judy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Stone; granddaughter, Holley; and her parents.

Maryellen was born in a farm home near Hiawatha, May 6, 1928, one of three children born to Earl and Lena Jasper Peterson and had lived in the northeast Kansas area nearly all of her life where she grew up, attended school and graduated from Hiawatha High School.&nbsp; Maryellen attended Pittsburg State College where she obtained a teaching certificate, returning to this area to teach school.

During her life, Maryellen was a very busy individual:&nbsp; her church, the Highland United Methodist-Presbyterian Church, was very important to her as she served on various committees and in different capacities.&nbsp; She was a gray lady volunteer at the Hiawatha Community Hospital for many years along with volunteering to assist with bingo at Maple Heights Rehabilitation Center.&nbsp; She enjoyed camping, traveling the world, and working in her flower garden and yard.&nbsp; It had also been said she enjoyed going to the casino (on occasion).&nbsp; All that being said, she loved her family and the time she was able to spend with them.

She married James “Harvey” Neibling, February 8, 1948, at Hiawatha.&nbsp; They farmed and raised livestock northwest of Highland and lived in the same farm home for 60 years before they retired to Highland.&nbsp; They have enjoyed 72 years of being together and from this union, their children:&nbsp; Janet, Walter, and Kathryn were born.&nbsp; After Kathryn was born, she started working in the kitchen at Hiawatha Community Hospital.&nbsp; After over 20 years of service, she retired.

Survivors include her husband Harvey of the home, her children:&nbsp; Janet Tyler (Paul) of Highland, Walter Neibling (Angie) of rural Highland, Kathryn Bachman (Greg) of Hiawatha; grandchildren:&nbsp; Ladonna Gilmore, Adam Tyler, Stacy Fisher, Brett Neibling, Kaitlynn Bachman, and Eli Bachman; and seven great-grandchildren.

Glen Everett Mize, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

He was born March 31, 1956 in Kansas City, Kansas to Everett and Lucile (McGary) Mize. Glen was very active in the Salvation Army and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Nathan Mize.

Nicholas “Nik” Kleckner, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was taken from this world on Monday, August 10, 2020.

Nik was born on May 25, 1982, in Omaha, Nebraska to Brett Kleckner and Tamera Sheard. Nik worked in various positions over the years, most notably for Insteel Wire and was most recently employed as a Pilot Plant Operator at ICM, Inc. Nik will be remembered as someone who always focused on the blessings in life. He was forever grateful. He would remind us all to "love one another" and "never take life for granted" because "life is merely gone in a blink." Most of all, he would want us all to be kind to one another.

Nik’s greatest life accomplishment and his ultimate dedication was his two beautiful children, Nevaeh and Nick, II. Nik’s childhood was molded and influenced by many mothers, fathers (most remarkably “Mr. Hayes”), brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Meeting Nik was like meeting someone you’ve known your whole life. He never knew a stranger. Because of this, he was adopted into and adopted many families. Nik relished spending time with this exceptionally large circle of family and friends. He was a father, brother and friend to all. Nik’s free spirit shone through his mesmerizing eyes, contagious smile, and his big hugs! Nik had a genuine heart that was one with nature. He loved to roam and explore. He was a cooking enthusiast, music-lover, late-night philosopher, and a talented poet. Nik was a bright light in this dark world, one who would give the shirt off his back or his last penny without question. Nik touched our souls with his love, passion, positivity, and devotion.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Kleckner; grandmother, Nana; Aunt Pat; uncle, Keith Kleckner; adopted father, Kenneth Hayes; cousins, R.J. Kleckner, Jack Kelley, Chris Kelley, and Melissa Thompkins.

Survivors include his children, Nevaeh Mikah Kleckner; Nicholas Michael Kleckner, Dylon Michael Kelley; mother, Tamera Sheard; father, Brett Kleckner; siblings, William Kleckner, Amanda Beaver (Jimmy); mother of his children, Amanda Recob; children’s grandparents, Jon and Kim Recob; adopted mother, Alishia Hudson, numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and close friends.

The family will be holding a celebration of life this Sunday, August 16th, 2020, from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Eagles Lodge (located at 2004 North Belt Highway across from Anderson Ford, St. Joseph). We look forward to sharing smiles and warm memories of the times that he shared with you. Afterwards, Magoon’s Famous Delicatessen (623 South 8th St. Saint Joseph, MO.) has extended an invitation to everyone who would like to join. She was born September 4, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri to Antwoin Craig and Tyra Rich. Rae was the smartest two-year-old ever. She was very funny, loved to dance and was loved by everyone. Rae had the most beautiful smile and the cutest little giggle. She had the biggest heart and loved her mommy and daddy very much. Rae will be missed by everyone that loved her.

Rae was preceded in death by her grandmother, Evelyn Craig.

He was married to Violet Barnthson on Sept. 6, 1952. They were later divorced. LeRoy was later married to Rose Cox. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Rusty (Jeanne) Frakes, Everest, KS, two daughters; Flori Hicks, Marysville, KS and Cosetta Frakes, Horton, KS, a brother, Bill Frakes, Manhattan, KS and four sisters; Clara Horn, Atchison ,KS, Mary Belz, Kansas City, KS, Linda Frakes, Kansas City, KS, and Patricia Lowry, Wichita, KS , 15 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, two great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
