Mickey Admire, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 surrounded by his family.

On September 25, 1942 he was born in Moberly, Missouri to Raymond and Ruby Admire.

He served four years in the United States Navy, some of his time was spent in Vietman on the USS Ozbourn.

Mickey married Debbie Hamilton on February 7, 1987. She survives of the home.

Mickey enjoyed flying, racecars, golfing, fishing but most of all he loved spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Shores; father, Raymond Admire; son, Mickey Raymond Admire, Jr.; daughter, Sherry Gay Pendleton; and nephew, Robert Hunt.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Richard Hamilton (Ali), Trey Hamilton (Kaysie), Danny; daughter, Tina; sister, Terry Bernard (Tommy); brother, Butch Hunt; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends; and his beloved dog, PeeWee.

A life-long resident of St. Joseph, Army veteran, 70-year IBEW member, and husband of the late Jane Schellhorn.

William J. "Bill" Schellhorn  1932 - 2021

Gregg was born January 6, 1975 in St. Joseph to parents Richard &amp; Marcia Barnes. He went to Savannah High School and later earned his GED, CNA, &amp; EMT certifications.

Gregg worked in numerous nursing homes taking care of “his” residents. He eventually got a job as an ER Tech and worked at Heartland and St. Lukes Northland. Gregg took great pride and strived daily to make his co-workers’ and patients' day better by being his caring and goofy self. Gregg married Alicia Miller on October 3, 1998 and stepped into being a dad to Kelsi, and in later years to Nicholas. He loved his family and was so proud of his kids. One of his greatest joys was being Grandpa Gregg to his grandson Miller. It brought a new sparkle to his eye.

Gregg never knew a stranger. Gregg enjoyed collecting tins, pretending he was a rockstar, keeping the Buckle in business, and having absolute perfect hair. He loved his dogs and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, golf, and shooting guns.

Gregg’s happy place was his man cave in the garage where he listened to his favorite music, had his morning coffee, took his “breathing treatments,” did his daily devotionals, and drew on his etch-a-sketch. He was a member of the Rosendale Christian Church. Gregg was proud of his Christian faith and enjoyed his small group family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Marcia Barnes; aunt, Barbara Barnes; grandfather, Carroll Edwards and great-grandmother, Zelma Edwards.

Survived and missed by his family, Alicia Edwards, Kelsi and Josh Neill, and Nicholas Crets; grandson, Miller Neill; sister, Shana; numerous family and friends.

Gary Lee “Pup” Hosier, 70 years old, of Atchison, KS died on Saturday, August 28th, 2021, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines IA. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Gary worked as a heavy equipment operator for Atchison County, KS in the road &amp; bridge department for over 45 years. Gary loved anything to do with racing, NASCAR, Indy racing, and especially dirt track racing. He was a member of the NHRA (National Hot Rod Racing Assoc). He collected cookbooks, salt &amp; pepper shakers, and cartoon glasses. Gary was a friend to everyone. Gary was married to Debra A. Lee on December 30, 1974. They were later divorced. Survivors include a son, Joshua Hosier, Atchison, KS, a daughter, Barbara (Richard) Chapman, Lancaster, KS, a brother, Rex Hosier, Atchison, a sister. Sharon Hosier, Wichita, KS, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. His parents, and one brother, Robert Hosier preceded him in death.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Barry Owen Paxton 51, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. 

He was born March 1, 1970 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Linda and Jerald Paxton Sr.&nbsp; 

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Jerald Paxton Sr., and brother, Patrick Jess Paxton.

He was born January 22, 1966 in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of Barbara &amp; Lowell Butts. He graduated from Benton High School, and he worked at various jobs, most recently at McDonalds in Maryville. 

David was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Wayne Butts, and companion, Sandy Lawson. 

Survivors include: mother, Barbara Butts, St. Joseph, MO, sisters, Brenda (Mike) Worley, Fairberry, NE, Donna (Jim) Staggs, Agency, MO, Diana Butts, Lynch, NE, and Vickie (Bob) Herring, St. Joseph, MO. 

He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

Nina Mae Meadows Harner Miller, 85 years old of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on August 29, 2021.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Nina was born on February 22, 1936. She was born to Linvell and Winifred Meadows on a farm near McFall, Missouri. Nina married "Monk" Harner, who preceeded her in death. Later she married Jack Miller. They lived in California until his passing. Nina returned to St. Joseph to be near her family. One of her biggest joys was the children she helped her brother raise, Beau and Niki Meadows.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She loved to get together with her siblings' monthly, and have a rousing conversation about the latest hot topics in the news. You could find Nina faithfully reading the newspaper, planning her next quilting project, and playing with "Sparky" her dog.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;She attended Grandview grade school and graduated in 1954 from King City High School.

Nina Mae Miller  1936 - 2021

Nina Mae Meadows Harner Miller, 85 years old of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on August 29, 2021.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Nina was born on February 22, 1936. She was born to Linvell and Winifred Meadows on a farm near McFall, Missouri. Nina married "Monk" Harner, who preceeded her in death. Later she married Jack Miller. They lived in California until his passing. Nina returned to St. Joseph to be near her family. One of her biggest joys was the children she helped her brother raise, Beau and Niki Meadows.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She loved to get together with her siblings' monthly, and have a rousing conversation about the latest hot topics in the news. You could find Nina faithfully reading the newspaper, planning her next quilting project, and playing with "Sparky" her dog.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;She attended Grandview grade school and graduated in 1954 from King City High School.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Nina was preceeded in death by her parents, brother Donald Meadows, sisters Marilyn Pierce, and Betty Barnes. Husbands, Marlin "Monk" Harner and Jack Miller. Surviving siblings and in-laws; Sue Meadows (Cameron, MO),&nbsp; June Craven (Olathe, KS), Ed &amp; Marsha Meadows (St. Joseph, MO), Curtis &amp; Lee Meadows (Albany, MO), Bill &amp; Janet Meadows (Pacific, MO), Roger Barnes (St. Joseph, MO), and Darrell &amp; Linda Meadows (St. Joseph, MO).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Surviving her is her step son, Greg Harner and twenty-one nieces and nephews, who loved her very much.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Visitation will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 10:00 am - 11:00 AM at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.&nbsp; Services will follow the service at 11:00 at the funeral home.&nbsp; Interment will be private.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In lieu of flowers please donate to Freudenthal Hospice.<figure>

Roy Eugene Gregory 96 of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021

He was born April 24, 1925 in Fairfax, Missouri, to Harold &amp; Abbie (Brugh) Gregory.

Roy worked at Shamrad Boiler Company for 34 years as a welder, fabricator and foreman. He also had a lawn care and saw sharpening business for several years.&nbsp; He served in the Navy during World War II as a ship machinist and welder.

Roy married Marjorie Minor on December 31, 1992, she survives of the home. &nbsp;He attended Caring First Assembly of God for many years.&nbsp; He loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing his faith and helping others.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie . His brother Robert, three daughters, Sharon Eileen Burkeybile, Vicky Lorraine Schneider, and Laura Lynn (James)Coburn, he also has four grandsons, Stephen (Crystal) Schneider, James Burkeybile , Jason (Tami) Burkeybile, and Carson Coburn, one granddaughter Sierra Coburn, two great-grandchildren Elliot and&nbsp; Alister. Also surviving are Marjorie's&nbsp; children Barbara (Leroy) Phillips, Sharon Shackelford, Janet Yarnell, Bruce (Alice) Minor and Mary (Steven)&nbsp; Ingraham. Numerous&nbsp; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara (Christy) Gregory, Son Warren Neal, Parents, Harold &amp; Abbie Gregory; brothers: Wilbur (Eula) and Jack. Sisters: Edith (Brady) Holder, Thelma (Richard) Hopkins. Marjorie's&nbsp; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Nancy Minor.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.&nbsp; Visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 1:00 PM.

Interment with Full Military Honors will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kimi N. &nbsp;Nadolski, 54, of St. Joseph, died August 27, 2021 at her home after a lengthy illness.&nbsp; Kimi was born November 19, 1966, in St. Joseph, to Edward and Elsie (Shanks) Downey.&nbsp;

She was born and raised in St. Joseph.&nbsp; She was a graduate of Central High School and Missouri Western State University.&nbsp; She was a Missouri State Licensed cosmetologist.

Kimi was a member of Cathedral of St. Joseph and the Missouri Western Alumni Association.&nbsp; She loved life and animals.

She married James &nbsp;A. "Jim" Nadolski and he survives.&nbsp; Also surviving are sons, Nolan A. Nadolski, Michael Robbins, Derrick Gallagher, Ryan Nadolski (Amanda); daughter Amy (Paul)&nbsp; Piercy ;&nbsp; grandchildren, Cooper and Bodie Nadolski, Lola Bea Piercy; &nbsp;Kimi's parents Edward and Elsie Downey; sisters Stacy Downey, Candy (Andrew) Bennett, Dawn (Scott) Marriott; brother Edward Downey; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kimi N. Nadolski  1966 - 2021

Mary Jane Fields, 93, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.

She was born March 17, 1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Harry and Mary (Wilson) Holub.

On June 17, 1951, she married Dr. Howard R. Fields. They had three children, Dr. Tim Fields (Reva) and Trudi Kepner (Mike), and Trent, who passed away in 1975, all of St. Joseph.

Howard passed away in 1988. On May 7, 2005, Mary Jane married her high school sweetheart, Don Schoen from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Don passed April 2012.

After graduating from college, Mary Jane worked as a home economist for the gas company. While her children were at home, she operated Field’s Play ‘n Learn Preschool, then opened the first kindergarten at John Glenn School and later the first all-day kindergarten in Camden Point, Missouri.

After receiving her master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she developed the first early childhood program at Missouri Western State University and taught there until retiring. She also owned and operated Pigtails ‘n Inkwells for 25 years.

Mary Jane was a member of Maxwell Heights and later attended Ashland United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, loved to dance, and was known for her spicy, hot foods.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Additional survivors include grandchildren, Holli Spielbusch (John), Kandi Kepner, Heather Fields, Clayton Fields (Wendy); great-granddaughter, Ginger Fields.

Mary Jane Fields  1928 - 2021

Robert A. “Bob” Lawrence, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.

He was born October 9, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Phillip Lawrence, Sr. and Evelyn Lawrence (Montgomery).

Bob graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953. He attended the University of Colorado on a football scholarship. Bob decided that school wasn’t for him and joined the Marine Corps in 1954 through 1958 where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. While serving our country, he traveled all around the Pacific and Central America. He was selected for an elite Long Range Reconnaissance unit and was also a paratrooper. Up until the day he died, he was a proud former Marine. He was proud of his service to his country. The discipline he learned in the Marine Corps served him well throughout the rest of his life.

After leaving the Marine Corps, he made his was to St. Joe, where he met the love of his life, Rosalia Tasset. They married in Troy, Kansas on August 19, 1958. They were married for over 61 years. During that time, they had five children that blessed their lives. Bob worked for 34 years for Seitz meatpacking plant. Besides his marriage and children, the day he retired from Seitz was the best day of his life. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, loved his dogs, mushroom hunting, and fishing. He had many stories about the big one that got away. Bob was also a lifelong and long-suffering Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. One of his great hobbies was wood working. Bob made everything from toys to furniture that his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always cherish. He enjoyed the many family celebrations of birthdays, holidays, and graduations and cheered on his grandchildren at their sporting events.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant son; and infant great-grandson.

Survivors include his children, Charles Lawrence (Kristin), of Hays,KS; Kathleen Shorba (John), Ruth Myers (Steve), Roberta Wright (Harold), all of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Nix (TJ), Tara Lubbers (Lucas), Traci Polifka (Jared), Mark Veale, Elizabeth Nichols (Zachary), Alex Veale (Cassandra), Joshua Shorba (Nova), Jacob Shorba, Angela Lehan (Chris), Lauretta Hewlett (Demetrius), Benjamin Wright (Alexandra); 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Lawrence (Donna); sister, Ann Luneen (Dan); cousin, Tom Montgomery (Roberta).

Gary W. Patton 78, of St Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Falls City, NE. 

He was born June 5, 1943 in St. Joseph, son of Laura and Lee Roy "Pat" Patton. He graduated from Faucett High School, class of 1961, and he served in the US Army Reserves. Gary married Sally Johnson on September 24, 1965 in St. Joseph. He retired as a scraper operator with the Operating Engineers, Local 101. He was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, enjoyed playing cards, reading westerns, and traveling out West. A man of integrity, Gary truly loved spending time with his family,&nbsp;and he always cracked a good joke. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. 

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Sally in 2017, his parents, son, Michael Vaughn Patton, brothers, Dorvin, Delfus, and Aubrey Patton, and sister, Audrey Patton. 

Survivors include: sons, Brian (Nina) Patton of Tampa, FL, Robin (Mary) Patton of Stewartsville, MO, daughter, Lindie (Brad) Catlin of Salem, NE, 9 grandchildren, siblings, Reatha VanWicklin of Union Star, MO, Darrell (Linda) Patton of St. Joseph, Valta (Scott) Horn of St. Joseph, Allen (Diane) Patton of St. Joseph, and Ardis (David) Poling of Lawson, MO.

Gary Wayne Patton  1943 - 2021

Etta Louise Anderson, 89, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.

On May 4, 1932, she was born to Marion and Rosie Conger in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Louise married Charles Willard Anderson, Sr. in 1953. He precedes her in death.

She was lovingly known as Grandma to many, many friends and neighbors in the North End. She was outgoing, ornery, and always up to something. Once you met Louise, you never forgot her.

Louise enjoyed attending garage sales, going to the boat and bingo. She could often be seen walking around the neighborhood collecting cans or picking weeds. She loved to enter contests from the newspaper, the radio, any contest she could find, and was known for routinely winning.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; sons, Danny and Charles Willard Anderson, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Ava Park; daughter-in-law, Lisa Anderson; and her beloved dog, Annie.

Survivors include her children Jerry Dale Anderson (Rebecca), Dennis Wayne Anderson, Debbie Anderson; sister; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, neighbors and friends.

Etta Louise Anderson, 89, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. On May 4, 1932, she was born to Marion and Rosie Conger in St. Joseph, Missouri. Louise married Charles Willard Anderson, Sr. in 1953. He precedes her in death. She was lovingly known as Grandma to many, many friends and neighbors in the North End. She was outgoing, ornery, and always up to something. Once you met Louise, you never forgot her. Louise enjoyed attending garage sales, going to the boat and bingo. She could often be seen walking around the neighborhood collecting cans or picking weeds. She loved to enter contests from the newspaper, the radio, any contest she could find, and was known for routinely winning. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; sons, Danny and Charles Willard Anderson, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Ava Park; daughter-in-law, Lisa Anderson; and her beloved dog, Annie. Marvin L. Beers was born July 8th, 1926 in Stewartsville, Mo. He passed away August 25th, 2021 at home, surrounded by family. He was 95 years old.

He married Helen (Elliott) on August 3rd, 1955 at Ashland United Methodist Church. They had just celebrated 66 years of marriage. He told Helen daily how much he loved her. They have 4 children, Pam Foster (George), Cindy Sechter (Emil), Jennifer Nichols (Bruce), Mark Beers (Lore), and Tahirih Heise who is like a daughter to them. They have 12 grandchildren, Gary Steeby, Eric Steeby, Blake Hausman, Spencer Hausman,(Bobbi Jo), Brandon Stevens, Amanda Stevens, Emilie Lueckenhoff (Ethan), Danielle Beers, Joey Beers (Leslie), Kyle Fetters (Maria), Lexie Heise, and Draetyn Hughes. He loved having his family around.

Marvin was a graduate of Benton High School. He joined the Navy on June 6th, 1944 (D-Day). He was put on a new Fletcher Class Destroyer, the USS Shields and rode her all the way through WWII. After the war he attended St. Joseph Junior College in 1946 and 1947. In 1951 he attended aircraft mechanics school. He received his FAA Engine Mechanics License and then accepted the position of Engine Instructor at the School. He also earned his Airframe Mechanics License (A &amp; P) and A &amp; E Instructors License. He worked at Ford on the B47- B&nbsp; wing contract as an inspector and at GM on the F84-F contract as an Inspection Foreman until the contract ended.&nbsp; In 1956 he went to work for TWA as a line mechanic. He accepted the position of Engine Maintenance Instructor. He spent 25 years&nbsp; in the training department, 18 years as a Power Plant Training Specialist, then transferred to Power Plant Engineering. He Retired from TWA on January 1st. 1986.

Marvin was Vice President of St. Joseph Boys Baseball and in charge of fund raising for about 10 years. He coached and managed&nbsp; T-ball through Casey Stengal. He also coached a boys basketball team for years. He was on the original board of directors of Deer&nbsp; Park Girls Softball League. He served on Benton High School Alumni Association as Vice President for 5 years and President for 17 years. He was strong in his Christian faith and taught an adult Sunday School Class.

Marvin spent many hours making model airplanes and ships. He was an expert at WWII history. He enjoyed playing Trivia and card games. He and Helen traveled the world together. He was very generous and always giving to his favorite foundations.

He was preceded in death by his father Archie Beers, mother Myrtle Beers, brother Leonard Beers, and sister Margaret Creager. He is survived by his wife Helen, four children, 1 foster child, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Heaton Bowman Funeral Home on Sunday August 29th from 3:00 to 5:00. The funeral service will be on Monday August 30th at 12:00 at Ashland United Methodist Church. Interment is Memorial Park Cemetery. You can also live stream the service at&nbsp; www. aumcfamily.org

Robert James Brown 94, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Missouri Veterans Home, Cameron, MO. 

He was born February 28, 1927 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Mary and Howard Brown. He served in the United States Navy and is a veteran of the World War II. He retired from the St. Joseph Light &amp; Power as a Lineman, foreman and District Man, after 42 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf, and was a member of VFW post 6760, and the American Legion Post 359. He was a Christian. 

Robert was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Brown, his parents, brothers, Harold, William. and John I. Brown, sisters, Jessie Higbe, and Elsie Valeu, grandsons, Curtis &amp; Corey Snyder, and son in law, Ronald Snyder. 

Survivors include, daughters, Theresa M. (Ricky) Aldridge, and Sharon Snyder, a son, Rodney Howard (Lorretta) Brown all of St. Joseph, MO, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a brother, Charles T. Brown of St. Joseph, MO.

Nancy Reents, 80, of St. Joseph passed away August 24, 2021, in her home, with her family.

Nancy was born May 8, 1941, in Maryville, Missouri, to Ruby and Harry Wallace. From an early age, Nancy was instilled with a great work ethic that she learned from her father who she loved to help on his daily route. When older, she would get out of high school each day at 2:30 and go straight to work at the hospital for the 3pm-11pm shift. It was while working at the hospital that she met Jerry, her husband.&nbsp; While in high school she loved playing basketball and volleyball. she graduated from Maryville High School in 1959.

Nancy married Jerry Reents in 1958, they were married for 62 years. Survivors include Jerry her husband, Betty Pierson her sister, Bob Reents her son and his wife Lori West.&nbsp; Her daughter Robyn Stablein and her husband Robert Stablein. Her three grandchildren that she adored, Melanie Dearman, Emily Stablein, and Jeremy Reents.&nbsp; Melanie's husband Thad, and her precious great grandchild Jackson Dearman.&nbsp;&nbsp; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Nancy loved people and would always go out of her way to help someone if she could.&nbsp; She loved God and always wanted others to know him too. She was a prayer warrior for her family, friends, or even a stranger.&nbsp; She had a huge heart for always making sure people had what they needed, or even wanted.&nbsp; Nancy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchild.

In her younger years, Nancy loved to paint and enjoyed creating crafts that she gave as gifts to others.&nbsp; She always loved flowers, and Jerry supported that love and filled the yard with blooms and color.&nbsp; She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and in general anything to do with nature.&nbsp; In later years when it was harder for her to get around, Jerry would photograph in detail their yard and make flower books that she could look at so she could still enjoy the blooms in the yard.&nbsp; Nancy loved singing and fishing and well almost everything except rabbit hunting.&nbsp; In the early days of their marriage, she and Jerry did so much rabbit hunting for food that she vowed she would never eat another rabbit, and she never did!

Nancy worked as a cosmetologist at several shops during her career, advancing to a cosmetology instructor, and then director for Castor’s Beauty Academy.&nbsp; Nancy was known for her excellent skills as a stylist and as an instructor, and many of her students went on to become famous stylists, giving Nancy the credit for the skills she taught them.&nbsp; Nancy was known for not only being an excellent instructor but also for caring for the needs as a whole of the students.&nbsp; In her retirement from teaching she returned to owning her own shop, still treating all of her customers as special, which they were to her.&nbsp; Everyone was a friend.&nbsp;

Services are Saturday August 28, 2021, at Grace Evangelical Church. Visitation is at 10 am, the service is at 11am. Pastor Mike Brown and Pastor Josh Blevins will be speaking at the service.&nbsp;

Rodney W. Wiedmer, 77, of Troy, Kansas passed away Monday, August 23, 2021.&nbsp;

He was born near Troy, Kansas on November 26, 1943 to Charles and Lucille (Krousa) Wiedmer.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rodney was united in marriage to Patricia A. Weber on August 21, 1965. They had two children, Mike and Kim.&nbsp;

Rodney was preceded in death by Patricia A. Wiedmer, his parents, and a brother, Robert.&nbsp;

On February 14th&nbsp;2019 Rodney married Susan Jones, she survives of the home. He is also survived by his son, Mike (Julie), St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter, Kim Nelson (Eric), Happy Valley, Oregon, grandchildren, Mackenzie King (Kody), Drew Wiedmer, Dallas Wiedmer, Molly Nelson, Aidan Nelson; great-grandchildren, Mya Wiedmer and Gianna King.&nbsp;

Cynthia married Johnny David Coil September 26, 2009. He survives of the home.

She was a member of The River Church.

Cynthia enjoyed dancing, shopping, couponing, and helping others. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

William Randal "Randy" Herzog  1944 - 2021

Mildred "Betty" Erickson, 96, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at a local health care facility. 

She was born February 26, 1925 in Pierce, NE, daughter of Emma and Otto Gugat. Betty enjoyed quilting and doing embroidery. She was a member 1st Presbyterian Church. 

Mildred was preceded in death by husband, Robert Duane Erickson, her parents, brother, Ervin Gugat and Infant Sister, Opal Gugat. 

Survivors include, children, Tanya Erickson of St. Joseph, Randy Erickson of St. Joseph, Michael Erickson of Big Bear, CA, Terry Leinneweber, grandchildren, Rachael Harrell, Renee Erickson, Matthew and Samuel Erickson, great-granddaughters, Bliss and Zoey Harrell and Alyce Vechiolla. 

Ms. Erickson has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. Memorial services 2:00 PM Friday August 27, 2021, with Inurnment to follow at Ashland Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Open Door Food Kitchen. Online condolences and obituary at www.ruppfuneral.com.

JoAnna Shelton, 63, of St Joseph, formerly of DeKalb, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at a health care facility in St. Joseph. 

She was born November 10, 1957 in St. Joseph. She attended Lafayette High School. On February 14, 1981, she married James Shelton in St. Joseph. JoAnna loved children. Over the years, she had over 65 children in her home that she fed and loved. She also loved all things dolphins and enjoyed crafting and cooking. 

JoAnna was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Geneva Young and daughter, Julie Marie Shelton. 

Survivors include, husband, James Edward Shelton of DeKalb, MO, son, Michael (Lindsey) Shelton of St Joseph, son, Eric (Chelsee) Shelton of Pearland, TX, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, 6 grandchildren, Connor, Levi, Chloe, Audree, Raelynn and Abel.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home, Johnny Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Westlawn Cemetery in DeKalb. Memorials are requested to the Noyes Home For Children.&nbsp;&nbsp;

JoAnna Shelton  1957 - 2021

Kenneth R. Jordan (K.I.), 81, of St. Joseph, Missouri; passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth was born on September 11, 1939 in Oregon, Missouri to the late Raymond and Emma Jordan.&nbsp; He was a graduate of Lafayette High School.

Kenneth married Dixie Curtis on December 20, 1980, they celebrated forty years of marriage.

She survives of the home.&nbsp; Kenneth is also survived by his brother Larry (Cheryl); his son Kurtis Jordan (Jacqueline); daughter, Kimberly Calvert (Lee); a grandson and a great granddaughter;&nbsp; three stepchildren, Chuck (Stacy) Curtis, Shelly (Mark) Garland, Robin Jenkins (Thad); 8 step grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren and 2 nephews.

He was a member of the Freeman Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Jordan worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Co., for 13 years starting in route sales and moving into management.&nbsp; He then worked for Ultra-Chem Inc. for 36 years as a sales representative.

Kenneth served as a St. Joseph reserve police officer for 7 years.&nbsp;

Kenneth was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and camping.&nbsp; He especially cherished his weekly breakfast club with his group of lifelong friends.

Service 10:00 Am Friday August 27, 2021 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.&nbsp; Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.&nbsp; Family to receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday at our chapel.
