William Burton Ide, III, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Mosaic Life Care surrounded by his family.

He was born January 20, 1943, to William B. Ide II and Rosemary (Steele) Ide.

William was a hard-working man who started at the lowest level and worked his way up the corporate ladder at 7UP Bottling Company. He had a talent for whistling and could beautifully whistle almost any tune. William loved Elvis, Harleys, classic cars, westerns, bomb pops and wrestling. He was a generous, kind, friendly man and even after death he was able to help 12 people through organ donation.

He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

William was preceded in death by his infant son, William B. Ide, IV; his parents; brothers, Alfred, and Charles Michael; daughter-in-law, Susan (Peters) Ide; and his beloved cockatiel, “Coco.”

Survivors include daughters, Jody McKinley (Brady), Kimberly Ide; sons, Michael Ide (Connie), Darran Ide; grandchildren, Alec Hart and Madison McKinley; sister, Carolyn Bottorff (Donald), half-siblings, Nancy Ide, Paula Wilson (Steve), Greg Ide; aunt, Alice Guinn; mother of his children, Phyllis Patterson; ex-wife, Susan Ide; lifelong friend of 70 years, Kenneth Ford; numerous nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle Bully.”

William "Bill" Johnson, 38, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 in St. Joseph. 

He was born April 15, 1983 in St. Joseph, son of Barbara and Rolla Johnson. He attended Benton High School and worked at Daily’s Meats. Bill loved fishing, classic cars and going to car shows and auctions. A kind, gentle, loving person, Bill also loved cooking for his family, especially when he could grill. Bill was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Savannah. 

Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Rolla Sr. and Hazel Johnson, and his maternal grandfather, Edward Swardson. 

Survivors include his parents, Rolla Jr. and Barbara Johnson of St. Joseph; children Caleb Michael Jarrett, Kileigh May Gross and Kollin Daniel Gross; sister Sara Mann and her husband, Rick, of St. Joseph, MO; maternal grandmother Joeann Swardson of St Joseph; and numerous friends and extended family.

Mr. Johnson has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Harvest Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church, Pastor Greg McCurley officiating. Memorials are requested to the Harvest Baptist Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jean R. (Livingston) Jansson, 98, formerly of Wathena, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her son’s home in Shawnee, Kansas.

Jean was born on March 24, 1923 in Elwood, Kansas to Herman and Rose (Liechti) Livingston.&nbsp; She served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Petty Officer First Class.&nbsp;

Jean is a member of the First Baptist Church in Wathena.

She married John Jansson on April 19, 1946.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on July 23, 1982.&nbsp; She was also preceded by her parents, daughter-in-law, Jenny Jansson, siblings, Stan, Neil and Don Livingston, Ruth Weir and Janice Livingston.

Marilyn G. “Mert” Smith, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born December 5, 1942 in St. Joseph to Harry and Lucille (Slocum) Wells.

Mert married Larry M. Smith on September 8, 1965. He survives of the home.

She worked at St. Joseph Cleaners which was a family business and the Tupperware Distributor.

Mert loved babysitting her grandchildren. She was an avid letter and poem writer; just ask Betty Stunz! Mert loved bowling and visiting the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice Van Ginkel; and stepmother, Josephine Wells.

Survivors include husband; daughters, Suzanne Shepherd (Mark), and Kelly Romeiser (Robert); son, Shane Smith; brother, Larry Wells (Annette); sister, Anita Jane Schmidt (Larry); 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Lois June Thuman, 96, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021.

On February 6, 1925 she was born to Christopher and Nora (Lark) Cook in Eagleville, Missouri.

Her first husband, Glen R. Mathis, passed in 1995. She then married Rolland F. Thuman. He preceded her in death in 2012.

She was an long-time active member of the St. Joseph Three Angels Seventh-Day Adventist Church. For years, she lead the church thrift shop and fundraising activities.

Lois enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. Lois had many talents and her fingers were never quiet. She enjoyed crocheting and making all kinds of things then sharing the fruits of her labor with the residents of Saxton Riverside Care Center.

She was preceded in death by son, Terry Mathis; four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include son, Ronald Glen Mathis (Rose Mary), William Leland Mathis, Christopher Roy Mathis; step-daughter, Carole Thomsen; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ruth Ann (Schwalm) Schoentag passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Plano, Texas.

She was born on January 28, 1934, in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Agnes Schwalm, and her husband, John Sigmund Schoentag, M.D.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Ann Schoentag Kern and her husband, Kurt Kern, Diane Jean Schoentag Jacobi, M.D., and her husband, Jay Jacobi, James Sigmund Schoentag, and his wife Shari Schoentag, and Christopher Andrew Schoentag, and his wife Beverly Schoentag, and nine grandchildren, Kristina, Alexa, and Kourtney Kern, Jennifer Jacobi, Justin and Megan Schoentag, and Taylor Schoentag Sitzes and husband Nick Sitzes, John, and Jack Schoentag.

Ruth was the beloved Matriarch of her family, a proud member of First Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, Missouri, then Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Creve Coeur, Missouri and later Preston Meadow Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas, and spread love throughout the communities she lived in, including providing foster care for newborns through the Lutheran family and Children’s Services of Missouri in St. Louis, volunteering for Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis, volunteering with Meals on Wheels in St. Louis and Hospice in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Ruth Ann (Schwalm) Schoentag  1934 - 2021

Terry Douglas Murphy “Witatai”, 79, of the Iowa Reservation at White Cloud, KS, left this earthly life to join his forefathers in eternal life September 3, 2021.

Witatai, his Iowa name, was given to him by his ancestors, was born January 26, 1942, at Escondido, California.&nbsp; His family lived between the California home and near White Cloud, where Terry attended White Cloud and Reserve, schools, prior to attending high school in California.

Terry spent his working career as an independent contractor, escorting oversize tractor trailer loads, all across the United States.&nbsp; To enhance his career and address the bigger challenges, he became a certified flagger.&nbsp; He said that he had traveled the entire United States except Alaska.

He was a member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.&nbsp; Terry was proud of his native heritage and Iowa Reservation was always dear to him.&nbsp; Because of his travel, he wasn’t able to participate in a lot of their activities or memberships.&nbsp; But in later years, he was able to participate in the Pow Wows as a Gourd Dancer, and just loved it!!

Terry married Janet Stice of the Falls City, Nebraska area and lived most of their life in Texas and was blest with a daughter Shelly.&nbsp; Janet and Terry divorced in later years, and he re-connected to friends in the Rulo area and married Karen Simmonds Shea, December 12, 2005.&nbsp; They had made their home on the Iowa Reservation where she survives.

Also surviving are his daughter Shelly Marsalek of Santa Maria, California, step-children&nbsp;Mike&nbsp;and Rita Shea of Bennet, Nebraska,&nbsp;Cindy&nbsp;and Shad Hemminger of Nebraska,&nbsp;Brenda&nbsp;and Chan Merry of Lincoln, Nebraska, grandchildren Wyatt, Emma, and Asah.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Stanley Murphy.

A Celebration of Terry’s eternal life is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Rulo Cemetery, Rulo, Nebraska.

The family will meet with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Rulo Cemetery, sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th&nbsp;St., Hiawatha 66434.

Terry Douglas Murphy “Witatai”, 79, of the Iowa Reservation at White Cloud, KS, left this earthly life to join his forefathers in eternal life September 3, 2021.Witatai, his Iowa name, was given to him by his ancestors, was born January 26, 1942, at Escondido, California.&nbsp; His family lived between the California home and near White Cloud, where Terry attended White Cloud and Reserve, schools, prior to attending high school in California.Terry spent his working career as an independent contractor, escorting oversize tractor trailer loads, all across the United States.&nbsp; To enhance his career and address the bigger challenges, he became a certified flagger.&nbsp; He said that he had traveled the entire United States except Alaska.He was a member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.&nbsp; Terry was proud of his native heritage and Iowa Reservation was always dear to him.&nbsp; Because of his travel, he wasn’t able to participate in a lot of their activities or memberships.&nbsp; But in later years, he was able to participate in the Pow Wows as a Gourd Dancer, and just loved it!!Terry married Janet Stice of the Falls City, Nebraska area and lived most of their life in Texas and was blest with a daughter Shelly.&nbsp; Janet and Terry divorced in later years, and he re-connected to friends in the Rulo area and married Karen Simmonds Shea, December 12, 2005.&nbsp; They had made their home on the Iowa Reservation where she survives.Also surviving are his daughter Shelly Marsalek of Santa Maria, California, step-children&nbsp;Mike&nbsp;and Rita Shea of Bennet, Nebraska,&nbsp;Cindy&nbsp;and Shad Hemminger of Nebraska,&nbsp;Brenda&nbsp;and Chan Merry of Lincoln, Nebraska, grandchildren Wyatt, Emma, and Asah.Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Stanley Murphy.A Celebration of Terry’s eternal life is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Rulo Cemetery, Rulo, Nebraska.The family will meet with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha.Memorial contributions are suggested to the Rulo Cemetery, sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th&nbsp;St., Hiawatha 66434.A special message or remembrance may be sent to the family at&nbsp;<a href="http://www.chapeloaksfuneralhome.com/">www.chapeloaksfuneralhome.com</a>&nbsp;which is also livestreaming site. <figure>

Erma Fern (Springs) Peery, passed away Sept. 3, 2021 at the hospital while surrounded by her children and their spouses.

Born to Walter and Della Springs on Jan. 3, 1931 in Forbes Missouri, Erma had ten siblings.

Erma married Garnett Ray on Oct. 13, 1951, before his passing, they had 3 children; Gary, Ronnie, and Connie. Erma married Robert Peery on May 2, 1967, they had a son, Lonnie.

Erma maintained a loving home which led to her calling in childcare. Known by Grandma, she raised numerous children for many families. In the early 1980's Erma and husband owned and operated a music theatre called the Country Hayride Opry.&nbsp;

Erma was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Chiefs and NASCAR racing. She loved crafting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Ray and son, Gary; husband, Robert Peery; granddaughter, Janelle Baker; siblings, Alfred, Gerald, Geneva (Embrey), Carol, Charles, Ned, Dorris (McQueen), Walter Jr, and James.

Those carrying on her memory are brother, Fred (Lucy) Springs of Chicago, IL; children, Ronnie (Betty) Ray, Connie (Joe) McMullen, Lonnie Peery; grandchildren, Jimmy, Aaron (Samantha) Baker, Christy Rockstead, Tony (Christina) Ray, Cheri (Cody) Clark; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren.

Barbara was born October 22, 1938 in Grant City, Missouri to Austin and Nellie (Scott) Wilson.

She married John H. McCleave, January 31, 1957.

Barbara worked for the Social Security Administration.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, daughter Mary Lou Kelly, and brother, Eddie Wilson.

She is survived by daughters; Tammy (Randy) Milbourn, Kathleen (Don) Lee, and Michele (Mike)&nbsp;Thomas.

Linda Kay Pendleton 72, of Union Star, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 in a Saint Joseph hospital after a long battle with cancer. 

She was born August 5, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter of the late Marilyn (Woodruff) &amp; William "Bill" Coker. She married Dennis Pendleton on October 8, 1972, and he survives of the home. 

She graduated from Easton High School class of 1967, and she was a Homemaker. She loved talking with and spending time with her family and friends, they were her greatest enjoyment. She also enjoyed canning and cooking meals for her family. She was an avid collector of anything Scooby-Doo, and she loved the Kansas City Royals. 

Linda is survived by husband, Dennis Pendleton of the home, sons, Billy Pike, DJ (Tosha) Pendleton II, and Jeffrey Lee Pendleton, grandchildren: Hailey Pendleton, Cooper Pendleton, and Riley &amp; Reagan Arthur. Per Linda's wishes, she will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

She retired from Mead Products after 35 1/2 years of service as a wrapper. She enjoyed shopping, going to church, and spending time with her family. She was a Christian. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Wayne Butts, her parents, a son, David Wayne Butts, brothers, Mike, George, and Harold Ferguson, and a sister, Marion Maxwell.

Donald Dean Steeby, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, on September 2, 2021, went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

He was born in Nodaway, Missouri on October 11, 1932 to Ola (Johnson) and Grant Steeby.

Donald married Mary Jo Rother on May 21, 1960, at the Maitland United Methodist Church. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing in 2017.

He graduated from Savannah High School, and proudly served two years in the Navy. He worked 32 years at Armour Meat Packing plant and then several years for Niebuhr Heating and Cooling.

Don grew up on the family farm and continued helping his father farm while working at Armour’s. He taught his children about hard work – that you don’t quit until you are finished and you always do your best. He was always a great role model for how to treat people. Being a good, kind and generous person is the best legacy he could have given his children. Don had a contagious smile and a quick wit. He never knew a stranger and he loved to talk. Don loved to dance and sing and was an avid water skier. At the age of 72 he was proud to say he was still able to slalom ski. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was his children’s biggest fan in all of their athletic activities and enjoyed working with his kids on “Steeby” projects.

Don was a longtime member of Green Valley Baptist Church. He was a man of strong faith and passed that onto his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jo; and nephews, Bart Miller and Whitney Miller.

Survivors include his son, Mike Steeby (Becky) of Smithville; daughter, Marica Steeby of St. Joseph; sister, Sherry Niebuhr (Bob), of Savannah; brother-in-law, Renick Stuart, of Mound City; nieces, Angela Brook, Debbie Thorburn (Bobby Dean); nephews, Ben Brook, Bret Miller, and Tim Miller, and long-term care giver, Rachel Burgess.

They enjoyed 69 years together, living in St. Joseph, MO, and Oregon, MO. Betty was a beautician and loved her clients who became friends. She loved her family and her Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and was very involved in Prison Ministry. She and Bill traveled the world, with numerous trips and cruises.

Betty is survived by her son, Dr. Dave Rich (Penny); her daughter, Jan Rich (Doug); three grandchildren, Holly Godfrey (Jim), Amy Espinoza (Raul), and Corey Rich (Bess); seven great-grandchildren, Pryor, Will, Mac, Maryn, Lucia, Oliver and Ava.

Kathryn Osborn, 75, of Saint Joseph, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at her home. 

She was born December 29, 1945 in St. Joseph, daughter of Betty and Abel Martinez. She attended Lafayette High School. Kathryn worked many years as a caretaker. She was a member of Pentecostal's of St. Joseph. 

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Steven Osborn in 2019, son, Coby McBee and brother, Mike Martinez.

Linda Jean (Meneely) Lionberger, 73, Savannah, Missouri, left her earthly home to be joined with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Linda was born on September 21, 1947 in Trenton, Missouri to the late Rex and Maxine (Deem) Meneely.&nbsp;

On December 16, 1966 she married Richard Lee Lionberger in Chillicothe, Missouri.&nbsp; They celebrated fifty-four years of marriage and to that union, two daughters were born.&nbsp; "Dick" preceded her in death on April 29. 2021. Linda was a devoted wife and mother.

Linda was a secretary throughout her career, retiring from the Savannah RIII Schools. She continued to touch the lives of children by caring for them out of her home.

Linda was a woman of tremendous faith.&nbsp; As a preacher's wife she also touched many lives of many congregations. She was a member of the Big Lake Baptist Church.&nbsp; She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and had a huge heart for babies and children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with Linda's husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and Max Meneely and two infant brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Holly Fletchall (Brent) and Shelly Dawn; grandchildren, Samantha Holm (Greg), Cassie Bryant, Shelby Carter, Bobby Bryant (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Kamden, Kaitlynn, Kaylee and Kadence Holm, Amiya Talbot, Rielynn Woods; two sisters, Beverly Brown and Pat Reeter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service 5:30 PM Wednesday, September 8 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends following the service until 7:30 PM.

Donald O. Castle, Jr., 72, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

He was born on March 8, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio to Donald O. Castle, Sr. and Mary Ann (Taylor) Castle.

As a member of a US Air Force family, he lived in Ankara, Turkey, Washington D.C. and Oslo, Norway, where he attended the World Boy Scout Jamboree and attained the rank of Eagle Scout before moving back to St. Joseph in 1963.

Don graduated from Central High School in 1967 where he was a member of the ROTC. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1967 and served for 5 years in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam and Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

He worked for Walnut Woods in St. Joseph for many years and traveled with their softball team in country wide tournaments. Don was an avid crossword puzzle solver.

Don was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann Castle of St. Joseph; sister, Susan Castle Kimberlin of Wilton Manors, Florida; brother, Doug Castle (Donna) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Candace Castle of St. Joseph; niece, Becky Castle Miller of Wheaton, Illinois; nephew, Zach Castle, on assignment at the US Embassy in the country of Georgia; nephew, Daniel Castle, instructor at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Marsha Ann Fitzpatrick, loving mother of two &amp; aunt to three, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 30th,2021. Marsha was Born January 2, 1970, in Atchison, Kansas to Victor &amp; Patricia Mae Fitzpatrick (nee Kelley). The second of twin girls, born three minutes after her sister Vicky. Marsha raised two sons, Spenser &amp; Patrick. After graduating from Atchison High School in 1988, she would relocate to Lawrence with her niece Kamithy. She worked as a contact support member for Maximus Federal in Lawrence. She loved taking long walks with pup Sadie, always making sure to get her steps in. Her boys were her world, as were her nieces &amp; nephew. She enjoyed going on vacations, especially to the Disney theme parks. Marsha enjoyed reading in her downtime &amp; was well known for her baking skills. Marsha is survived by; sons Patrick Sniff &amp; Spenser Fitzpatrick (Robben Stanley), Mother Patricia Fitzpatrick; Sister Vicky Davis (Thomas Stalder); Nieces Kamithy Brown and Jennifer Stalder; Nephew Michael Davis (Rachel McCabe).

She is preceded in death by her father Victor Fitzpatrick and stepfather Jack Ross. Services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas with Paul Kelley Officiating. He was born October 3, 1964 in St. Joseph, MO, son of late Enis and Verle Westcott. He was a roofer working at Milbourn Roofing, Roberts Roofing, and Hausmans. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing pool, woodworking and fixing up the house, he was a very handy woodworker, a good cook, and an awsome person.

Donald Allen Westcott Sr.  1964 - 2021

Norma Marie Littlewood Dean died on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Lifecare Center in Sarasota, Florida. Norma was born October 13, 1928 to Charles and Gladys Littlewood in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Norma was one of three children. Norma, along with her two sisters, Virginia and Patricia, grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, where she eventually met Robert Dean while attending Benton High School. Norma was united in marriage to Robert L. Dean in 1946 and from that union came four children, James Dean, Deborah Kent, Jennifer Miller, and Thomas Dean.

Norma maintained a loving household first in Ames, Iowa while Robert attended Iowa State University, then moving to Centerville, Iowa for five years while Robert taught school and then transitioning to Chariton, Iowa where she was actively involved in the community while continuing to raise her children for 12 years. When Robert transferred to Red Oak, Iowa, Norma became very involved in the community and served as the club manager at the Red Oak Country Club for four years, finding time to enjoy her love of golf almost every single day and famously serving her grandchildren Roy Rogers and Shirley Temples with a side of peanuts when they visited. Norma was very artistic and creative. She often wowed her grandchildren with magical Christmas adventures and a backyard Oasis fit for a Queen. Norma loved to garden and could often be found creating a paradise in her backyard. When asked why she did these things that took so much time and effort, Norma would often respond, “I do this for my family’s enjoyment.” In 1994, Robert and Norma moved to Bradenton, Florida where she resided until moving to Lifecare Center in January 2020.

Blessed with a loving family and leaving a strong legacy for all of us to follow, Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys; sister, Virginia Hintz; her husband of 60 years, Robert Dean; her daughter, Jennifer Miller; and son, Thomas Dean.

Those remaining to carry on her memory are sister, Patricia Barnes of St. Joseph, MO; son, James (Bobbie) Dean, their children, Mick (Jenn) Dean and Kelly (Scott) Rhodes, all of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Deborah (Dan)Kent of Lucas, IA, their children, Danica (Chris) Harris of Gladstone, MO and Derek (Kelli) Kent of Columbia, MO. Jennifer Miller is survived by her husband, Brad Miller, of Indianola, IA and her children, Angie Collinsworth of Wichita, KS and Ryan (Megan) Adams of Red Oak, IA. Thomas Dean is survived by his wife, Kathy Dean, of Waukee, IA and their children, Sean Dean of Waukee, IA, Christopher Dean of Des Moines, IA and Nicholas (Katie) Dean of Waukee, IA. From her nine grandchildren, Norma was blessed with 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild to whom she often referred to herself as “Nanny the Great.” Having lived a full life, Norma will be greatly missed by her family.

When Robert transferred to Red Oak, Iowa, Norma became very involved in the community and served as the club manager at the Red Oak Country Club for four years, finding time to enjoy her love of golf almost every single day and famously serving her grandchildren Roy Rogers and Shirley Temples with a side of peanuts when they visited. Norma was very artistic and creative. She often wowed her grandchildren with magical Christmas adventures and a backyard Oasis fit for a Queen. Norma loved to garden and could often be found creating a paradise in her backyard. When asked why she did these things that took so much time and effort, Norma would often respond, “I do this for my family’s enjoyment.” In 1994, Robert and Norma moved to Bradenton, Florida where she resided until moving to Lifecare Center in January 2020. Blessed with a loving family and leaving a strong legacy for all of us to follow, Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys; sister, Virginia Hintz; her husband of 60 years, Robert Dean; her daughter, Jennifer Miller; and son, Thomas Dean. Those remaining to carry on her memory are sister, Patricia Barnes of St. Joseph, MO; son, James (Bobbie) Dean, their children, Mick (Jenn) Dean and Kelly (Scott) Rhodes, all of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Deborah (Dan)Kent of Lucas, IA, their children, Danica (Chris) Harris of Gladstone, MO and Derek (Kelli) Kent of Columbia, MO. Jennifer Miller is survived by her husband, Brad Miller, of Indianola, IA and her children, Angie Collinsworth of Wichita, KS and Ryan (Megan) Adams of Red Oak, IA. Thomas Dean is survived by his wife, Kathy Dean, of Waukee, IA and their children, Sean Dean of Waukee, IA, Christopher Dean of Des Moines, IA and Nicholas (Katie) Dean of Waukee, IA. From her nine grandchildren, Norma was blessed with 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild to whom she often referred to herself as “Nanny the Great.” Having lived a full life, Norma will be greatly missed by her family. Mickey Admire, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 surrounded by his family.

On September 25, 1942 he was born in Moberly, Missouri to Raymond and Ruby Admire.

He served four years in the United States Navy, some of his time was spent in Vietman on the USS Ozbourn.

Mickey married Debbie Hamilton on February 7, 1987. She survives of the home.

Mickey enjoyed flying, racecars, golfing, fishing but most of all he loved spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Shores; father, Raymond Admire; son, Mickey Raymond Admire, Jr.; daughter, Sherry Gay Pendleton; and nephew, Robert Hunt.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Richard Hamilton (Ali), Trey Hamilton (Kaysie), Danny; daughter, Tina; sister, Terry Bernard (Tommy); brother, Butch Hunt; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends; and his beloved dog, PeeWee.
