Betty Jean Brott, aged ninety-five, a lifelong resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, went to be with her Lord on September 30, 2021, after enduring a lengthy illness.

Betty was born February 16, 1926, to Edward Peter and Marjorie Charlotte Colburn (ne Wiegant). She joined Wesley Methodist Church at age thirteen and was a faithful member until her death. She graduated from Central High School in 1944, having lettered in softball and was joined in marriage to Carroll Lee Brott of St. Joseph on April 21, 1946. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Heartland West for twenty-two years and, upon retirement, provided private patient care. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, working puzzles, quilting, canasta, needlework, and watching baseball.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; a daughter, Deborah K. Brott of St. Joseph; and a grandson, Brett William Baltezor, also of St. Joseph.

Survivors include daughter Patricia Martin of Kansas City, Missouri; Cynthia Hughes of Houston, Texas; Kathy Brott, Carol Baltezor (Bill), and Shari Hendrix (Roger), all of St. Joseph; grandchildren Tia Brott-Silkett (Anita) of Kansas City, Missouri; Douglas Hughes, JR. (Katrina) of League City, Texas; Jesica Haave(Matt) of Omaha, Nebraska; four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many non-relatives who called her Mom and Grandma. One of Betty’s greatest gifts was loving unconditionally. She will be forever missed and always loved more.

Graveside services will be conducted at Memorial Park cemetery on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, at three o’clock. Laverne Rutherford, 64, Fillmore, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2021.

He was born February 7, 1957 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Phillip Laverne Rutherford, Sr. and Annie (Noble) Rutherford.

Laverne was a row-crop farmer in Andrew County most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, racing go-karts with his sons, and watching his sons’ football games. He loved animals and they were a big part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sons, Levi, Garrett, and Miles (Elijah) Rutherford; grandchildren, Aeriel, Gunnar, Kemper, Taelin, McKenna, McKinley, Lillie, Trestin, Ava, and Thatcher; his former wife, Dana Lance; other extended family members and friends.

Glenn A. Mason, 85, St, Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

He was born October 6, 1935 in Pattonsburg, Missouri to John and Beulah (Jones) Mason. Glenn graduated from Pattonsburg High School, Class of 1953. He served four years driving tanks in the U.S. Army Reserves after high school.

Glenn married Margaret Louise Montgomery on August 16, 1953. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2020.

He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in soil science. After college he worked in the agriculture industry, then farmed most of his life in the Bethany, Missouri, area.

Glenn was very active in community organizations. He was on the founding board of Unified Services and on the board of Crestview Nursing Home. He was active in 4-H, volunteered with American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery. He was a member for many years with Bethany Rotary Club.

He was very active in First Christian Church in Bethany, holding many leadership positions.

Glenn was a very talented woodworker and crafted many beautiful pieces. He was an avid sports enthusiast and kept up on many teams and their statistics.

Glenn was highly involved in all aspects of each of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were his joy. He also enjoyed all people. He saw the value and worth in every individual. He was seen as kind and fair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Benjamin Musick; two brothers, Jones and Kenneth Mason; and a sister, Vonda Gillespie.

Survivors include his children, Tom (Sally) Mason, Peggy (Joe) Berger, and Michael (Lisa) Mason; grandchildren, Steve (Caitlin) Mason, Sarah Mason (Francis Vigan), Chris Musick (Mary Russell), Ian Mason, and Emma Ross; four great-grandchildren, Isaac, Finn, Zulema, and Merveille; and a sister-in-law, Mary Mason.

She &nbsp;was born to Walter and Lois Daniel &nbsp;on January 29, 1943.&nbsp;

She was a graduate of Central High School. Sharelle married Charles Ritchie. He preceded her in death in 2012. She spent her career as a telephone operator and later as a department manager for Wal Mart.

Sharelle is survived by her sons; Blaine (Annette) and Brad (Carrie) Ritchie, daughter; Christy (Kevin) Anderson, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Saturday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.

Victor DeWayne Martin 94, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in St. Joseph, MO. 

He was born March 6, 1927 in Dekalb, MO, son of the late Nellie and Harry Martin. He graduated from DeKalb High School, and he married Anna Faye Strong on May 8, 1949. He served in the United States Army, and is a veteran of WWII. He worked at St. Joseph Light &amp; Power retiring after 40 years of service. DeWayne enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a cabinet maker who could fix anything. He was a 50 year member of IBEW Union, the Zeredatha Masonic Lodge #189 A.F. &amp; A, M., Scottish Rite 33 Degree, Moila Shrine, the Wrecking Crew, and the Imperial Council of Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. 

DeWayne was preceded in death by wife, Anna Faye Martin, his parents, and 13 brothers and sisters: Winfield, Calvin, Harold, and Junior Martin, sisters, Ollie Mallett, Vernelle Bauer, Doris Hale, Eleanor Frakes, Dorothy Besinger, Allene Lawson, Eudena Dillon, Velma Hargrove, and Jessie Black, and son-in-law, Ross Beamer. 

Survivors include, daughter, Stacy Martin-Beamer of Platte City, MO, grandsons, Marty (Jessica) Beamer of Kansas City, and Chase Beamer, Columbia, MO, granddaughter, Ashleigh Beamer, Platte City, MO, three great grandchildren, Oliver, Charlotte, &amp; William Beamer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gregory Gene Noland 74, of Liberty, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 in a Liberty, MO. hospital. 

He was born April 27, 1947 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Thelma and Raymond Noland. He graduated from Central High School, and he served in the United States Navy, retiring after 20 years of service. He enjoyed music, going for drives and traveling, having his coffee, and watching CSI Shows. 

Greg was preceded in death by wife, Theresa Noland, his parents, daughter, Toni Schooler, grandson, Franklin Noland, and brother, Manuel Noland. 

Survivors include, daughters, Candy (Rodney) Riddle, Cassandra Griffin (Dale Charles) Griffin, and Dawn (Armando) Perez, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister, Ada Jenkins, and brothers, Rex Jr., Harvey Sr., and Raymond Noland Jr.

Janet Ann Vandiver 94, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday September 26, 2021 in a St. Joseph health care center. 

She was born February 26, 1927 in Bethany, Missouri daughter of the late Goldie &amp; Alva Hogan. She graduated from Bethany High School and enjoyed working at McDonalds, and Allorica as a Fry Lady. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and taking care of her yards. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and the Wesley Methodist Women's association, serving as President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. 

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Vandiver, her parents, son, Danny Vandiver, and sister, Opal Plummer. 

She is survived by special friends, Darlene (John) Grieme and Carol Burton all of Saint Joseph, MO. 

Visitation will be 1- 2:00 pm on Monday with a memorial services following at 2:00 PM Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Wesley United Methodist Church. She has been cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's association or to the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Donna Jean (Lobb) Cunningham Wenger 87 of Hiawatha,&nbsp;passed away September 26th surrounded by her family at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha, Kansas.

Donna was born December 17, 1933 at Oskaloosa, Kansas to George and Willetta (Bell) Lobb.&nbsp; She attended school at Winchester until 1951 when her parents moved to Hiawatha.&nbsp; She graduated on May 23, 1952 from Hiawatha High School on the same day she married Dearld Richard Cunningham He preceded her in death December 19, 2002.

On December 27, 2003 she married Virgil Wenger.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on April 10, 2019.

&nbsp;She loved to sing and sang in the school trio and choir in school and church choirs.

She worked at Sunflower Motel, Centralia lunch room and custodian and then in different nursing homes.&nbsp; She also worked at Hiawatha Hospital in housekeeping.&nbsp; &nbsp;She also cleaned houses for many people in Hiawatha.

She is survived by Susan Roche, of Topeka, Debra (Gene) Quirarte of Lawrence, Sandra (Kenneth) Yarger of Centralia, Cindy (Wayne) Kramer of Seneca, and Richard (Leslie)

Cunningham of Hiawatha, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, and 2 great great grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Mildred Hoecker, Clifford Lobb, Leonard Lobb, Bessie Everret, Imogene Lobb, and Dick Lobb, and a son in law Steven Roche.

A celebration of Donna’s Eternal Life is planned for 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Bethany United Church of Christ in Hiawatha.&nbsp; Pastor Shane Spangler will officiate.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Lenetta Iris Decker, 68, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. 

She was born November 27, 1952 in St. Joseph, daughter of Vivian and Leonard Decker. She attended Dekalb High School. Lenetta worked as a CNA for over 30 years at several area nursing homes. She loved reading the bible, praying, singing and praising. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Sophie and loved her time with her kids. She was a member of Abundant Faith Church of God. 

Lenetta was preceded in death by her father, step-father, Francis Smith, sisters, Valerie Decker and Joyce Taylor and her former husband, Charles Christian. 

Survivors include children, Leonard (Tina) Christian of Smithville, Jeremy (Cheryl) Christian of Troy, KS, Ginger Lee of St. Joseph and Loreal (Russell) Wells of Troy, KS, mother, Vivian Smith of Rushville, brothers, Robert, Richard (Cindy), Terry (Valerie), Gary (Jeanine), Jonathan (Jennifer), Mike and Ron (Jean) Fitch, sisters, Dollie (Stanley) Edwards, Laurie (Paul) Billington, Melonie Decker, Betheen (Mike) Weems, Estella (Gerald) Ferguson and Katie Smith, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and her best friend for over 40 years, Margaret Neill.

Kathryn was born February 8, 1929 to Fred and Ermina (Meadows) Cairy in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Kathryn was married to John F. Gloggner until his passing on October 7, 2015.

She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.&nbsp; In 2008, John and Kathryn returned to St. Joseph after retiring in Arizona.&nbsp; She and John enjoyed traveling the country in their RV.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, husband John F. Gloggner, daughter Janet Steele and brother James Cairy.

Rosemary (Hausman) &nbsp;Kelly died September 26 in Omaha Nebraska.

Ms. Kelly was raised in St. Joseph and spent a large portion of her life in California raising her children and moved back to St. Joseph in the early 1990s

&nbsp;Rosemary was born February 15, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Rosa Hausman, sister Janet Elo and a daughter Shawn Kelly.

She is survived by her son Scott Kelly of Garden Grove California, her sister Carol Ann Walsh of Lincoln Nebraska, grandson Jack Kelly and numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Kelly was a member of her church choir in California.&nbsp;

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO.&nbsp; Ms. Kelly enjoyed classical music and musicals and had the albums to prove it.

The family will gather from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Tuesday night for a Rosary at &nbsp;6:00 pm at Heaton Bowman Smith &amp; Sidenfaden &nbsp;Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Wednesday morning at 10 AM.

Father Donald E. Sturm, born April 19, 1932, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents John F. Sturm and Eleanor M. O'Connor, six sisters, eight brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

He attended Conception Seminary and was ordained a priest on March 22, 1958.&nbsp; He served in several parishes throughout the diocese; his last 37 years in the St. Joseph area.&nbsp;

Memberships included Knights of Columbus- St. James council and Spiritual Director of the Legion of Mary for 63 years.

Survivors include sister-in-law Eileen M. Sturm, many nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends.

The rosary will be held at St. James Church on Wednesday, September 29th at 7:30 PM preceded by visitation starting at 6:00 PM.

Funeral Mass Thursday, September 30th&nbsp; 11:00 AM at St. James Church.

She was born January 4, 1936, in Sabetha, Kansas to Wilbur and Rose (Brunner) Haxton.

Beverly married Arthur E. Bell September 23, 1956. He preceded her in death September 21, 2019.

She was a member of The Eastern Star in Sabetha, Kansas. Beverly was a bus driver for Helen Davis State School for 26 years, retiring at the age of 62.

She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics with her son Scott, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandson, Dean.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Bell; grandson, Andrew Bell; brother, Keith Haxton.

Dennis was an independent owner/operator truck driver and also worked as a diesel mechanic. He loved drag racing and cars, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He played softball in his younger years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Alan.

Dennis Wayne Spencer  1957 - 2021

Thomas E. McMurry, 93, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 after complications from a fall.

He was born June 10, 1928 in Centerton, AR, son of the late Hattye and Elton McMurry. He grew up in St. Joseph, graduating from Benton High School in 1946. During high school he spent two summers in Estes Park, CO working on a Dude Ranch. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War as a U.S. Navy Signalman.

In his 20s he began a career with St. Joseph Light and Power Co. as a lineman, retiring as the line superintendent after 37 years. He also was a part-time bartender at The Bucket Shop for many years.

On February 12, 1955 he married Bonnie Heriford, she passed away in August, they shared 66 years of marriage and two children, Jodie and Jeff.

Tom was a very social person and was happiest on the golf course. He spent many years at Fairview Golf Course and co-founded and ran the Legends Senior Golf for over 20 years. He was inducted into their Hall of Fame. For many years he and Bonnie spent winter months in New Braunfels, TX golfing with a community of friends.

He was very active in the St. Joseph community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Southside Sertoma, President of the Park Board, a Red Cross committee member, and delivered Meals on Wheels. He helped start Little League in St. Joseph and along with Paul Arnold coached the Kovac's team in the south end. In 1974 he helped run the NAIA Baseball Tournament at Phil Welch Stadium.

Even at 93 he was busy every day. Many days he ate lunch and played cards at the American Legion. He met with his McDonald's/Taco John's friends for breakfast and arranged a weekly gathering of old friends for breakfast at Betty's Cafe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, son Dan, granddaughter Amanda Frye; sister Benny Montemore; sister-in-law Barbara Keener.

He is survived by his daughter, Jodie Frye (Mark), St. Joseph; son, Jeff McMurry, Palm Springs, CA; grandson Jake Frye, St. Joseph ; great-granddaughter, Kara Franks, St. Joseph; sisters Charlene Musser, St. Joseph; and Betty Wendt, Houstonia, MO; brother-in-law, Robert Keener (Karen), Rancho Mirage, CA.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service for Tom and Bonnie at 2:30 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Will Purinton PHD officiating. Afterwards there will be a dinner at San Jose Steak House.

Tom was a very social person and was happiest on the golf course. He spent many years at Fairview Golf Course and co-founded and ran the Legends Senior Golf for over 20 years. He was inducted into their Hall of Fame. For many years he and Bonnie spent winter months in New Braunfels, TX golfing with a community of friends. He was very active in the St. Joseph community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Southside Sertoma, President of the Park Board, a Red Cross committee member, and delivered Meals on Wheels. He helped start Little League in St. Joseph and along with Paul Arnold coached the Kovac's team in the south end. In 1974 he helped run the NAIA Baseball Tournament at Phil Welch Stadium. Even at 93 he was busy every day. Many days he ate lunch and played cards at the American Legion. He met with his McDonald's/Taco John's friends for breakfast and arranged a weekly gathering of old friends for breakfast at Betty's Cafe. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, son Dan, granddaughter Amanda Frye; sister Benny Montemore; sister-in-law Barbara Keener. He is survived by his daughter, Jodie Frye (Mark), St. Joseph; son, Jeff McMurry, Palm Springs, CA; grandson Jake Frye, St. Joseph ; great-granddaughter, Kara Franks, St. Joseph; sisters Charlene Musser, St. Joseph; and Betty Wendt, Houstonia, MO; brother-in-law, Robert Keener (Karen), Rancho Mirage, CA.The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home. Robert A. Bermond passed away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born in St. Joseph, MO on June 11, 1927. He was a Veteran, Life Service Member of Wyatt Park Christian Church, and served meals at Open Door Food Kitchen.

Bob married Mae Bunse on December 28, 1951 in Cosby, MO and farmed the 155-year-old family farm until retirement. He continued to live there until his death.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mae; his children, John (Mary) Bermond, Gregg (Cheryl) Bermond, Sandy (Dave) Butler, and Diane (Dan) Flugrad; grandchildren, Erin (Tim), Elizabeth, Alex, Erica (Sonny), Madeline, Kristina, and Ava; and a great-grandbaby due in February.

Arthur J. “Art” Adkins, 81, of Troy, Kansas passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Wathena Nursing &amp; Rehab Center.

Art was born on May 2, 1940 in Leona, Kansas to John and Claude (Randle) Adkins.

He was a member of First Baptist Church Troy, KS.

Art worked as a Lineman and later as Line Superintendent for Doniphan County Rural Electric Cooperative serving Doniphan County for 55 years retiring in 2015.

Art married Rosalee Ann Wright on April 23, 1960 in Troy, Kansas. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son, Mark Adkins and granddaughter, Malorie Adkins, Nine brothers and sisters Betty, Sam, Gertrude, John, Melvin, Erma, Jack, Alfred, Dick.

Survivors: daughter, Sheila Gaul (Brad), Troy, Kansas.

Son, Bryan Adkins (Natalie), Country Club, Missouri.

Arthur "Art" J. Adkins  1940 - 2021

Charlotte Ann (Rieger) Dickinson, 94, of rural Hiawatha, Kansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 23, 2021, at Valley Falls, Kansas.&nbsp; Charlotte was born March 21, 1927, near Powhattan, Kansas, to Lloyd Earl and Winifred May (King) Rieger.

She attended Plum Creek School and graduated from Fairview High School in 1944.

Upon graduation from high school, Charlotte was employed for several years at a Hiawatha bank and later part-time in various offices at the courthouse.

Charlotte was united in marriage to Alvin Emery Dickinson on December 15, 1946, at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Fairview, Kansas.&nbsp; To this union were born three children:&nbsp; Linda Stephens, Steven Dickinson, and Brenda McNary.

Following their marriage, Charlotte and Alvin made their home in Hiawatha, Kansas; they moved to a farm south of Hiawatha in 1950.&nbsp; Charlotte was a farm wife for 41 years and helped Alvin with typical farming activities such as feeding livestock, driving the tractor for hay making, hauling grain to the elevator, taking lunches to the field, and going for repair parts.

Mrs. Dickinson was a longtime member of&nbsp; Bethany United Church of Christ and Bethany Women’s Guild, where she was very active through the years.&nbsp; She was also a former Primary Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and choir member.&nbsp; Charlotte was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 0066, VFW 5210 Ladies Auxiliary, and Maple Leaf Squares.

Charlotte and Alvin enjoyed family vacation trips including visiting family in Okinawa, Japan.&nbsp; During retirement years, she enjoyed the tour trips which included visiting 49 states, Panama Canal, Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, her sister Kathryn Rees and husband LeRoy Rees, her sister Mary Holt and husband Leonard Holt, her brother Bernard Rieger, her son-in-law Robert Stephens, her brother-in-law Warren Dickinson and wife Dorothy Dickinson, and her sister-in-law Myrtle Krebs and husband Elmer Krebs.&nbsp;

Survivors include her daughters Linda Stephens of Auburn, Kansas, Brenda (Michael) McNary of Meriden, Kansas, and her son Steven (Kelly) Dickinson of Horton, Kansas, and sister-in-law Glenda Rieger of Hiawatha, Kansas.&nbsp;

Grandchildren surviving include Marcella (Derek) Barker, Topeka, KS; Stephanie Ness, North Branch, MN; Rebecca Dickinson, Merriam, KS; Bethanie (Dean) Miller, Norfolk, NE; Matthew McNary, Omaha, NE; and Jennifer (Joel) Kruse, St. Louis Park, MN.&nbsp; Step-grandson is Kenneth (Dawn) Stephens, Hiawatha, KS.

Great-grandchildren surviving include Cody Barker, Trenton Barker, Bailey Dudrey, Dominic Dudrey, Kaleb Miller, Kellie Miller, and Kaycie Miller.&nbsp;&nbsp; Step-great-grandchildren are Derek Stephens and Althea Jo Jante.&nbsp; Step-great-great-grandchild is Carter Jante.

A celebration of Charlotte’s life is planned for 10:30 in the morning, Monday, September 27, at the Bethany United Church of Christ in Hiawatha with Pastor Shane Spangler officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Charlotte Ann (Rieger) Dickinson  1927 - 2021

Marolyn Joy Henry was born May 27, 1947 in Conover, NC.&nbsp; She lived there until 3 years old, when her family moved to a dairy farm in Phillipsburg, MO.&nbsp;

She attended Dry and Dusty Country School through 8th grade, then completed schooling in Lebanon.&nbsp;

Her first two years of college were in Concordia, MO, then she transferred to Chicago, Ill, where she attended Concordia River Forest.&nbsp; The highlight was going on a World Tour with her 1969 Accapella Choir.&nbsp;

She taught four years in Bronxville, NY, and was a housemother at the college.&nbsp; She decided that she would move to Springfield, MO, to acquire her Masters in Counseling.&nbsp; The first night of the first class, she met her soul mate, Suzanne Phares, August of 1973.&nbsp; From that point on, they enterrwined their families and lived a joyful life of working &nbsp;in professions they felt served people.&nbsp; The shared a love of family, friends, camping, pets, all of nature, exploring, and their love of the Colorado mountains.&nbsp;&nbsp; Her love of music was a constant, cheering the Kansas City Chiefs provided good times and every special sight in nature was a moment of gratitude.

She became an Episcopalian with Suzanne in 1976 and served as a substitute organist at Christ Episcopal Church in her early years in St. Joseph.&nbsp; Playing and listening to the pipe organ was very special to her.

Unfortunately, life took a turn in 1989 when exposed to formaldehyde fumes in a brand new travel trailer.&nbsp; By 1999, she was forced into early retirement by toxic exposures at her school.&nbsp; At that time, all chemicals that are considered part of everyday life caused reactions.&nbsp; Still she and Suzanne lived life with joy and gratitude though it was a much change of life.
