A 27-year-old Savannah man has been taken into custody after shooting and hitting another vehicle Wednesday morning on I-29 near St. Joseph.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Amouir Standiford has been charged with one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Standiford is being held in the Buchanan County jail on $10,000 bond.

The patrol reports a vehicle was damaged but no one was hurt.

The patrol says the St. Joseph Police Department alerted it to reports that shots had been fired on northbound I-29 near mile marker 49 around eight o’clock Wednesday morning.

Troopers took Standiford into custody. The investigation continues.
