SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating the recovery of a body found in a wooded area near the YMCA building in Salina have identified the victim as 60-year old, Shane T. Duffy of Salina, according to a statement from Salina Police.
The cause of death was a heart attack and the contributing factors were chronic substance abuse, according to police. There was no indication of foul play. A passerby found the deceased body and contacted police on Nov. 20.
There was no home address listed for Duffy, as he was deemed to be homeless.
