MONTGOMERY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Saturday in Montgomery County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 driven by Charles E. Hamilton, 63, Bellville, IL., was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Route F-High Hill exit.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle when a tire malfunctioned. The motorcycle struck the ground and both the driver and passenger identified as Deborah L. Hamilton, 58, Bellville, IL., were ejected.
Deborah Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the funeral home in Montgomery City. Montgomery County ambulance transported Charles Hamilton to University Hospital. Both were wearing helmets, according to the MSHP.
