LAWRENCE COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Tuesday in Lawrence County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1983 Ford F250 driven by Wyatt Seelaus L. Cady, 32, Ash Grove, was eastbound on MO 96 six miles west of Miller.
The pickup traveled off the road. The driver overcorrected and struck a westbound 2013 Dodge Caravan driven by Curtis M. Forrest, 31, Republic, head-on.
Cady and an infant girl in the van were pronounced dead at the scene and were transported to Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
Forrest and a 3-year-old boy in the van were airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Cady was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
