
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 46-year-old Keevon U. Mitchell, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Just after 11:30a.m. Sunday, patrol officers were dispatched a report of a vehicle accident in the area of 56th and Woodland in Kansas City.
The call was upgraded to a shooting. As officers arrived they located Mitchell inside of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers immediately began performing life saving measures and ordered EMS. Emergency medical personnel pronounced Mitchell deceased on scene.This is being investigated as a homicide. Police have not reported an arrest or suspect details.
