Kansas officers found meth and a puppy in a stolen vehicle

JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement made an unusual find in a stolen vehicle earlier this week in a Kansas community.

Just before 6a.m. April 12, police  on patrol in the city of Shawnee located an unoccupied vehicle displaying a stolen license plate, according to a social media report from the Shawnee, Kansas Police Department.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle had also been reported stolen. Officers recovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a puppy from inside the vehicle.

The puppy was transported to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City for care and is now available for adoption.
