KANSAS CITY —A Kansas woman has been charged with multiple felony counts in connection with a recent shooting at a hotel in Blue Springs, Missouri, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.
Samantha J. Thrasher, 24, faces two counts of Assault 1st Degree and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.
According to court records, Blue Springs police officers were dispatched on May 20, to a hotel in the 700 block of NW South Outer Road in Blue Springs after a caller said a shot had been fired inside the hotel.
Officers located two victims, one an adult who had been shot multiple times and the other, a juvenile, was wounded in the elbow. Video surveillance showed the defendant taking a gun from a vehicle. She went into the hotel lobby, where she earlier was involved in an altercation, and fired multiple shots, striking both victims.
The Blue Springs Police Department has an active arrest warrant Thrasher's arrest. She is considered armed and very dangerous, so do not attempt to apprehend but call 911 if you see her.
