BENTON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 11:30p.m. Friday in Benton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an unknown Ford truck was traveling on Highway 8 just north of Boyd Dump Road. The vehicle struck a pedestrian identified as 48-year-old Alisha A. Holt of Cole Camp and fled the scene.
Holt was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Resource Funeral Home. The MSHP reported no additional details early Saturday.
