TOPEKA - Kansas law prohibits the University of Kansas from granting pro-Hamas protesters’ demands, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach wrote in a letter sent Thursday to KU Chancellor Doug Girod and members of the Kansas Board of Regents.

“As is often the case with uninformed, petulant loudmouths, (the protesters) have not done their research. And their views are reprehensible. I trust that you will not honor them,” Kobach’s letter reads. Click here to read the letter from Attorney General Kobach.
Protesters at KU are demanding that the university divest financial ties to Israel. However, the Kansas Legislature has already spoken on the topic.“The University of Kansas has many hallowed traditions, but siding with bloodthirsty, antisemitic terrorists is not one of them. I encourage you to enforce all applicable university rules and regulations so that the educational mission of the university is not disrupted,” Kobach wrote. “The taxpayers of Kansas expect and deserve the very best from KU.”
