WRIGHT COUNTY —Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol recovered two drowning victims in Beaver Creek flooding on Tuesday.
Just after 4:30a.m., the MSHP received reports of three vehicles that had been carried off the road by floodwaters from Beaver Creek. Emergency response teams including marine officers from the MSHP and agents from the Missouri Department of Conservation, initiated rescue operations.
Three individuals from two of the vehicles were able to escape the floodwaters by swimming to shore. Just before 9a.m., two residents, a 70-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman both from the Mane, Missouri area in the third vehicle were found deceased.
