KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating a double-fatal shooting in Kansas City have identified the victims as 37-year-old Samuel J. Hughes and 34-year-old Jeffery J. Hughes, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Just after 7:30p.m. Thursday patrol officers were dispatched to the 8700 block of Blue Ridge in Kansas City on a reported shooting.
The call indicated two individuals were possibly shot in a parking lot. Upon arrival the officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel responded and pronounced both victims deceased. This is being investigated as a homicide. Preliminary investigation revealed there was an interaction in the parking lot that led to the victims being shot.
